Good morning and happy Tuesday to you all! Who is ready to breathe with me?
Deep breath innnnnnnnn..... hold it........ and out, slowly........
Again.... innnnnnn........hold.... out........

I feel a bit corny typing this every morning but as I said, it helps me and I hope it continues to help you too.

The weather was *disgusting* here yesterday. It was switching between snow, sleet, and rain. It was that damp cold that gets into your bones. The dogs didn't want to be outside too much either. I was able to cross a few things off of my list, like finishing paying bills for the month, my taxes are filed. I just need to do the kids.
Scott had his first remote class yesterday and it went... can't say it went well but it went. Today is his Capstone, the one about Environmental Sustainability- the one that discusses overpopulation and its effects on the earth and its resources. That is gone be a *blast.* heh.
He had a videoconference with his internship to discuss how to finish his project for the scholarship requirement that seemed to go well. The Center is a non-profit so he came up with some ideas on how to possibly get some Patreon subscribers.
Caitlyn only has one class today and the professor has some readings for them to do. She really wants to get back into the swing of things, she really likes studying.

Have any of you ever played Cards Against Humanity? My kids want to get that- but they want to pre-screen/censor the cards before we play. How bad is it if you have played?

Today I have to go to the grocery store and get gas and I woke up panicked about that. I guess that is to be expected. Or maybe it is just me. *shrug*
I started my page for Trudy's birthday challenge so I hope to finish that as well.

Gratitudes:
- the sun is out today and the snow is all gone
- I was able to get a spot for Shop From Home so I don't have to be in the store for long and NJ is not a pump your own gas state
- I snuggled with Gary this morning and his hugs are the best :D

Hugging all of you from far away! xoxo

Nancy- did you get any snow by you at all? We were watching The Walking Dead last night and a few scenes had flashbacks to old characters who had died and it is sad when that happens. I can't wait for Outlander to be on DVD *and* for my library to be open to borrow it! I never heard of Star Girl but if she has a pet rat she is all good with me.

Kay- I was reading about your day and all I could think is that you are crazy! haha!! be careful and don't push yourself too hard. But I am proud and jealous of you for being able to get stuff done. I can't seem to get very motivated ATM.
I made egg salad again yesterday too and I so darn happy that I ended up getting that egg steamer. Best $15 I ever spent LOL

Trudy- yikes-- I hope you don't get any snow, it was not nice to see it at my house. I can't imagine how it would be to have someone I love sick and not able to see them. I hope that your neighbor's son gets better soon. Thatis a great idea to play games with Mason over the phone.

Rae- I wonder what Taz is smelling, more dogs out and about maybe?
I wish I had a garage to bring the bags into the house. I have been putting the bags on the floor and then using disinfecting cleaner after I am done. I haven't been wiping down the groceries so far but maybe I should. I don't know what the "right" thing to do is. But I guess better safe than sorry.
I am glad that you and Jen are able to visit with B. How is Jen's mouth feeling?

 Karen thank you for that much-needed laugh!!!! I said yesterday that there is a meme that half of the world is going to end up gourmet chefs, the others- drinkers! Please keep practicing your bread making! :D

Jean- we are feeling that hear, time is really fluid. That is awesome that DH got take-out! That must have been a nice treat.
Good question for Nancy- how are you doing with no sports???
Goofy DHs are the best DHs

Kay- glad to hear that you are on lockdown as well. It is shocking to me that FL still doesn't have one and that the Lt Gov in TX seems to think it is ok to sacrifice the elderly to get the stock market back on track  It seems like the Governors are the ones doing the best work here.

Felis- I am happy that you got a bit of snow too. I would have sent you mine if I could.
wow, that is a lot of photos to go through. I should do the same. I should really start of list of things I should work on. Maybe tomorrow I will do that. ha!!!
I am trying to be very accepting of my emotions and have been trying to let my family know that they can and should do the same, even if -- especially if the emotions don't make sense. I love your gratitudes!

Better get some breakfast and dressed for the excursion outside this morning. I am wearing my clothes from yesterday and will change and shower as soon as I get home

xoxo

Morning, all.

Chris, we are not on LOCK DOWN... but on SHELTER IN PLACE since 8AM today - which allows going out to get groceries, meds, etc and essential people and business to be open/working. Hope we don't get to the Lock down phase. Just hope that people will pay attention to this order and stop the spread here. I talked to a friend (on the phone) who said her daughter-in-law found out a co-worker tested positive so her son and family are now on 14 day quarantine. The bad part was my friend had been over to her son's for a family get-together right before they found out about the co-worker. My friend has a couple of symptoms - runny nose and pain in her torso. Told her to start taking her temp at least twice a day and if she starts running a fever to call the hot-line to be evaluated as to whether to get the test or not. I am hoping that she doesn't have it as she is in the high-risk group.

I know it sounds like I have been doing a lot... but actually have spaced the things out and rested between bouts of working. DD#3 and son dropped off a couple of things of mine from DD#1 late yesterday afternoon. They were helping DD#1 get unpacked from the move to the rental. They called and I opened the garage door. They stayed on one side of the garage while I stayed across the garage from them. They offered to get supplies if I need anything but I am okay for now.

Yes, the egg-salad was delicious... had it on multi-grain bread. Only have a few slices of that style of bread left so am relishing each meal with it. I have a bread machine but no yeast. Still have buns and rolls plus tortillas so will switch to those later on. I should start a list of things that I am running short on for when I have them do my shopping.

Sorry that some of you are getting winter weather again... snow, sleet and icy rain! Our temps are going up into the 50's-60's but having windy weather so not fun to be outside.

I got my water bill and it is even higher than last month so am sure I have a water leak somewhere. Pretty sure it is in the sprinkler system so shut it down. Will need to have a sprinkler/plumber check it out - but that won't happen until after the crisis is over. In the meantime, I will use the hose to water the trees and shrubs. Glad I don't have any grass to worry about.

I am working on some pages for the Birthday Party. Had a couple of pages I did a year ago pop up on my FB page the last 2 days.

What I am thankful for today:
Sunshine with only a few clouds.
Calls from friends to see how I am doing

Morning ladies... no snow here today, but it is chilly and raining, if it stops later this afternoon I will get out for a much needed walk. Had a nice long face time chat with the boys this morning! Mason loves to talk about transformers, he is crazy about them LOL. I was telling him that sometimes when I am out for a drive I see the odd car or truck with the Autobot sign on it. Well you should have seen his face :pound: He says Grandma!!! You have transformers driving around in your town??? So I said I guess I do. OMG he was over the moon excited LOL. What fun!! Their Dad is going to be home from now on and had to close the shop up this morning as they were ordered to have only essential business open. He will be applying for the EI that the gov't has promised to everyone out of work. Ugh!! Well at least Heather will have her disability $$.

Chris - I bet the kids will be glad to be back doing some kind of school work! Glad to hear that your snow is all gone today, it snowed at Heather's yesterday too, but it is all gone now also. My kids have played cards against Humanity and they say its pretty graphic (hmmm not sure what other word to use) But they also said they had a lot of fun playing it too!! Hope that you are successful with your outing today! Stay safe and try not to freak out about it. It kind of freaks me out every time we have to go out now too!

Kay - Glad that you are not doing too much at once! I really liked the page you did for the Birthday challenge, it must have been a hard choice, you have so many books that you love to read. Hope that you can the leak fixed soon, but at least you were able to shut the water off to the sprinkler system. Have fun with your scrapping today!

Ok I better get my morning chores done and then get to work doing some scrapping myself. Enjoy your day everyone!

Gratitudes for today...
We are still Healthy today
Face Time chats with the Boys are always fun!
My sisters and brothers are all doing well so far too.

Good morning, ladies. Headed out to Costco this morning at 7. Today they are starting a seniors hour twice a week so I only had to wait about 45 minutes before they let us in and I was able to get in with the first wave of seniors (limit of about 50 people). So glad they made the age limit 60 not 65, so that I could go. They only have about 1/3 or 1/4 of the usual selection so got some things I wanted but not others. Main thing is I got TP before it ran out (maybe 5 minutes after me b/c I looked back over my shoulder a few rows away and it was gone). I also lucked out by getting some lysol wipes before they were gone. Missed the hamburger but thats ok, I have some in the freezer. It took 2.5 hrs in total to wait, shop and get home so I consider myself lucky. The lineup in the parking lot is insane and is hours of waiting. So glad I won't need to go back for at least another 6-8 weeks.

Bruised a rib yesterday...ugh. I was leaning and stretching way over, trying to reach over the side of my office chair (I had dropped an almond on the floor) and I heard a pop and then pain. All over a stupid almond. I am ok but have bruised the rib and its really sore to move and take a deep breath. I should know better :)

Got out jogging with Taz yesterday and it sure felt good. I'll take today off b/c my ribs hurt but I'll get out again tomorrow for a morning jog. Did a bit of pantry/freezer organizing and will do more today. I really want to utiize the food I had before, before I start using up the recent stuff. I do not want to waste anything.

Workwise, it looks like half days for now and that could change, so at least I have a bit of money coming in. I don't qualify for any assistance since I'm self-employed. If things get bad enough, Jen will move in and will pool our money to get through this. We've got a bit of savings so I think we're ok for at least 2-3 months.

Chris - thx for asking about B. She is on lockdown now to keep her safe from germs. So we can only facetime or talk on the phone now. I'm thankful she is with good people and it could be so much worse for her if she had still been in the hospital setting. Small blessing for sure. Jen needs stitches taken out so not sure how they are going to handle that. The dental surgical office is closed now and so far hasn't been able to reach anyone to find out what to do. She still can't eat much, having to be careful not to get food lodged in the grafting tissue. What an ordeal that is. I sure couldn't do it. I am a wimp at dental stuff.

Kay - we are shelter in place here too. All outdoor areas have been yellow taped and locked down with signs everywhere.

Trudy - that is too cute about the transformers LOL.

Things I am grateful for:

Being healthy.
Being stocked up on essentials.
Being able to entertain myself with scrapping, movies, books and playing with Taz.
Being able to get TP and lysol wipes today. That stuff is like gold right now.

good afternoon - it is sunny and I love sun. We got Luther out on a nice long walk - a little over 2 miles. I can't tell you how happy I am to be able to walk that far. It was my hope and wow all the pain and PT was so worth it. There were a lot of joggers and walkers but few dogs being walked. It was fun and there is so much in bloom! As Chris said, yesterday was the pits weatherwise. No snow but heavy rain on and off all day. Still lots of puddles so Luther was happy and as he walked he made sure to walk through them all. I see you all are wondering how I am doing with out sports. I don't like it at all. But I love seeing all the messages from the players saying stay inside. The Olympics postposed until next summer which makes lots of sense. My one political statement is that there is no price on a human life so to hear the Lt Gov. of Texas say that grandparents are willing to give up their lives for the economy for their grandkids. If the government was doing it job to there would be no need to make a choice. My favorite line is "the virus does not move people move." My son went to the store and picked up a few things for me. He went late at night and said there were very few people. Had a nice talk with my mechanic son too. He is considered essential as they have the FDNY contract and fleet limo contracts. He is not getting a much work but at least he is working.

Chris good luck at the store. Glad that school is picking up again for the kids. That is bound to help everyone feel more connected. My DH even did a thesis talk online yesterday. Hugs with your Gary have to be the best!

Kay that is awesome that your kids stayed on one side of the garage and you on the other. Makes me happy people are taking this seriously. My son the mechanic knows he cant come here as he is in contact with too many. He always decontaminates he says but does not want to come anyway. Taking your time to get stuff done makes sense. My DH loves egg salad and me I cant stand the smell. One of the few things we really disagree on.

Trudy I was wondering if your Gary this is working. From what I read all are protecting themselves so they can protect other. How fun to play games over FaceTime. My sister and I still just talk on the phone instead of FaceTime. We just cant seem to use it guess we are old fashioned. Have fun with all your craft projects. Glad you got no snow! My sons so loved Transformers. I have to say I really liked watching them too. I will have to come to your place to see them on the streets.

Jean yes I have been looking at birds as I walk Luther. It is fun but I really need to bring my binoculars to see the little ones. I don't think the warblers are back yet and the leaves are not out yet either. Hope you are enjoying your backyard birds and crafts. Glad that you got take out.

Felis congrats on just the bit of snow. Enjoy the new music. A lot of well known artists are doing concerts from home on Instagram. I always forget to set reminders so I miss them. Have fun with the pets.

Grateful for
Walking
Boys still working
Family

Have a great day!

Sorry I had to cut short my post earlier. Was on the phone with cousin, then sister, then DD#1. Cousin cancelled her plans to move anywhere as long as the virus is going around. Neighbors and friends came over and unloaded her POD into her storage area a couple of days ago as the POD had to be picked up by today. She said she ended up in the ER late last week. She tripped over a rug and took a bad fall. No broken bones but was bruised and aching plus some skin scrapped so it was bleeding quite a bit. She is the 2nd one I know who tripped over a rug and taken a bad fall in the last week... So.... guess what I did today??? Yep.... rolled all the throw rugs up plus the big rug in my family room. They are all out in the garage now. The only rug is the bathmat that I will put down when I take my shower. Took up the ones in the front bathroom as they are not used/needed. No point in taking a chance to trip and have a fall.

Wow... lines are long everywhere even during senior shopping hours. Rae glad you got a few things you needed but that sure is a long time to be out shopping. Oh, OUCH!!! bet that rib hurts like mad. Sorry that happened. Glad to know that B is in a safe and secure place.

Nancy, so glad that you have recovered from the knee surgery so well that you can get out and take long walks. Wish my back would let me walk like that but even a block will cause it to tighten up to the point I have to stop and rest it. Seems to be worse with the stress levels so high right now. Yes, I saw they had postponed the Olympics for at least a year... wise thing to do.

Thanks for the sweet comments on my challenge LO, Trudy. Got another LO posted this morning for the Card Challenge. Loving the Live Life collab... and the name of it is very apropos for what is happening right now.

DD#1 called today to check on me. They got the home inspection done with almost no things to deal with. With luck their house will be on the market by next week. Surprisingly, Real Estate is on the essential list so the agents can still show homes, etc.

I am pooped from rolling and moving rugs so going to see if I can take a nap. CYL
