Tuesday? It *is* Tuesday, right? With my kooky Monday Morning, it feels like it should be at least Thursday!

My poor baby girl's nose would not s top bleeding, so she wasn't able to get to school, and then she started throwing up a lot from it. I had to call her in absent which is not good with the ridiculous Attendance policy the school has. I am sure I will be looking at another attendance hearing soon. Ugh. After I called her in to Attendance, I had to call the Main Office to let them know I would be dropping the baby off. Since Sandy Hook, there is a strict No one In the Door w/o ID policy. I appreciate the intent very much, but sometimes it seems kind of silly. I had to notify the main office in advance, then Buzz them at the front door when I got there. Then they had to relay the info to the teacher who monitors the doors, before they can open them up. Even though all I was doing was handing a fake baby in the door.

Off to the dentist, which was no problem, but I have to go back next week to have the other side of my mouth descaled. It sounds so icky- but I can feel the difference between the teeth:becky:

I have such a hard time stopping and starting projects in the house when my days are chopped up like that and I end up wasting time.
I was able to scrap a page for the Birthday party which was fun.

How are you doing with the B-Day challenges? Don't forget you have until April 5 (IIRC) to finish them.

Today is blood work day (yippee.) then I have a growing list of things I need to get done that I have been blowing off. Then I hope to be back here to scrap/chat/play :)

QOTD If you had one word to describe your mental status right now, what would it be?
(Sheesh! I can't pick one word! Tired, overwhelmed, hopeful??)
OK. I got it-- Hopeful. I am hopeful that I can accomlish what I need to do today!!

Astrid- that sounds miserable about your teeth being so sensitive. :(
How exciting for your son! What kind of car did he get?

Laurie- Good for you for getting all of those appts done. I hope that you are off the next day, cuz that sounds exhausting.
And a big thank you-- I *have* to make my 6 month re-check mammo and ultrasound. I have been dragging my feet on it, I still feel traumatized from the one I have done in December LOL
But that is now on my list too.
So nice to see you here!

Linda-- congrats on the b-day wins! I bet that scrapping is like riding a bike, a little wobbly at first, then off you go! I loved the journaling on your Memory page, I wanted to reach in and hug you!

Sharon- I told Cait the same thing too, about loving your own baby. The baby's brand name is Real Baby Think About It (or something close to that) but it's purpose is to make teens "think about it" and scare them off. There was no positive reinforcement except for the occasional "coo."
Hope that your tagging is going smoothly for you too!
Is your DD's fam military and that is why they moved? I can't imagine that, must be so hard. But I am sending good vibes to them!

Trudy! at the posting getting lost! argh!! Hope that you had a nice time at the pool and on Skype!

Jean-- remember, this is a NO pressure thread! Good luck on doing your taxes. It felt so good when I mailed mine in.

Laurie, the rest of your day sounded crazy- but thank goodness you got new tires before driving in the s*** (snow-- 4 letter word to me!)

Off to bus stop #1!!

Chris- even more exciting when I got home I found out that I am going to sell some nature photos and the money I receive will cover over half the cost of the new tires!! Woot Woot.

Chris, glad that they only did one side of your mouth. When it has been awhile between cleanings it can seem like torture. (Not that I have any experience with that!)

Morning O-zies... I am up at 4am again this morning, well earlier if you count the half hour of tossing and turning in bed that I did. So this will be me for the rest of the day

We have company arriving sometime this afternoon, so hopefully I can slip in a few winks before their arrival. These friends are visiting the Island from Saskatchewan and I haven't seen them for 7 years and DH hasn't seen them since we moved from the prairie in 2006 so that's 9 years!! Man where has the time gone?? These people were so special to us when we first moved from B.C. to Saskatchewan, they invited into their home and became wonderful friends, but with DH job we always moved but stayed in touch with all the good friends we made in that first posting with the RCMP. We got together as a group many times and its always like we never left. Hopefully it will be the same this time also!

Chris - It is good that you only got the one side of your mouth done, it can be torture, but then your mouth feels so much better when it is all done! Poor Cait, hope she is doing better today and is able to be at school! That is sad that you have to go through so much security just to drop off a fake baby to the school, what has our world become?? Hope you get to scrap again today, I have been so busy doing other stuff that I have not been able to scrap too much and I am missing it!

Laurie - Hope all of your appointments went well for you! Glad to see that you are still happy today!! Congrats on the selling of your nature photos! What wonderful news for you!!

Astrid - Wow that is some nice car!! Your son is a very lucky young man!! I would love to have such a vehicle, but an Audi is a bit out of our price range!! Cars are horribly expensive here! I think I would be driving around all day in it if my son were still at work!! :becky:

LindaS - It is so nice to see you here with us again!! Hope you are enjoying the Birthday Party!! Glad that you got your photoshop loaded onto your laptop!!

Sharon - Hope you are making headway with your tagging and :washing: I never seem to be able to get to doing my tagging on my "O" stash, it is what I use most of course, and would love to be better organized!! You should try a couple of the challenges for the party, its another reason to just scrap. No pressure :becky:

Jean - Glad you made it to the chat yesterday, you cleaned up LOL hope it brightened your day and that you had fun shopping with your coupons!! There will be another chat on the 26th with many more goodies being given away, hope you can make it to that one too!

QOTD: SLEEPY!!

Ok ladies, I need more coffee and then DH will be getting up shortly to go to work, so I will be getting us both some breakfast. Then a quick trip to the store for a couple of items and home to wait for our guests to arrive. Hope your day is filled with great things!!

good morning - I have been busy and just not feeling 100% Not sure why. Had a fun Sunday at Medieval Times with the boys. Our knight did not win LOL. Yesterday was a hockey game and my team fought hard but still lost to the LA Kings. Today I have laundry and cooking and if I want to cook which I don't I have to go to the grocery store which I don't want to do. Perhaps that is the root of my blahness grocery shopping.

Hope everyone has a great day.

QOTD - in spite of blahness I am happy!

Greetings. Woke up to the sound of pouring rain again. This is hard after such a glorious warm, dry week in Arizona. But it's what keeps Washington "the Evergreen State."

I'm about 3/4 done tagging my Anna Art, and completely done with the rest of the Oscraps supplies. WOOT! I know it's hard to believe for Die-Hard Ozies, but before I found you, I had actually accumulated thousands of elements from Other Designers. And I still like and use much of it. When I was an Infant Digi-Doer, a designer named Trish Jones was going out of business, and offering her entire store for a ridiculously low price. I LOVE her style, so bought the whole store. It will take me a good day's work to tag all her goodies. I wish she were still designing (& for Oscraps).

Chris, my DD's family is not military. Her husband has just been trying to make a living, and it has meant having to move a lot. Each job has been a step up. We're praying the one he's in now will be it until he retires in 40 years! He is a graphic artist, but fell into the area of pre-press work, and is now a manager for the art department for a company that produces packaging. Ironically, he is a talented artist, but never uses that gift in his work any more...but he loves what he does...and he has passed his artistic gifts on to at least some of his 5 children.

What a pain re. the school. Not only do you have your poor daughter to concern you, but all THAT besides? sheesh. The world is not getting to be a better place.

I'm getting worried about Phylis. There hasn't been much activity on her FB either. :(

Laurie, congrats on selling some art! What/where/who is your market?

Mental state: A little nervous/anxious about DD's house situation, but otherwise enjoying a respite.

Can't stop at the moment, getting ready to head out to look for reported rare birds - a species we've missed, and missed before: Bohemian Waxwing. Wish us luck!!
