Ready for your deep breaths this morning? *innnnn and ouuuuuuut*
You good? Good!
Happy Tuesday and good things are happening here at the O. The party is just getting started:
Party Warm Up: Birthday Avatar Challenge
I have to think about what I want to do for a new avatar...
I feel like yesterday was a blur. It started off with me having to go to the pharmacy and that seemed like I was preparing to walk on the moon. I cracked myself up when I was getting out of my car. I had my Lysol wipes in the console and then thought -- hide them! So I put them under the seat! The parking lot was packed so I was happy to only have to go to the front part of the store.
My ILs came up and dropped off some canned food and water and coffee for us. They stayed for a little bit but we all were standing very far apart.
Then Caitlyn gets a call from the college's health dept. Because of the incident last week where the parent at the preschool said that her coworker was exposed/positive, she has to quarantine for 14 days, which meant the rest of us had to as well. Ack!
I had already canceled my PT and Dr's appts. But my grocery pick up was scheduled for Thursday. I called to ask if I could switch to delivery but there weren't any spots until Sunday. Scott's friend offered to pick up for us which was so damn sweet of her.
Caitlyn notified the school that her internship program was officially canceled and the director there was sad to hear that but said that she is welcome back to visit at any time. She also said that she was so sorry that the "stupid parent" said that because SHE MADE IT UP! The director contacted the grandmother who confirmed that it wasn't her coworker but a person in a different dept's friend of a friend blah blah blah. Director is furious.
But the HUGE relief we all felt that it was "fake news." (hehe, sorry to use that term!). Also, the kids found out the positive case at the school was not in direct contact with either of them.
So that was two bits of *fab* news in an otherwise day of world-wide bad news.
Today I am going to start doing my PT exercises at home. And since I didn't get much done in scrapping, I am going to do some of that. I also want to pick up my crocheting again, haven't done that in a while.
The weather is rainy and cool so we will be indoors, but tomorrow is sunny so I plan to be outside then.
My gratitudes:
-That we are not required to be quarantined- even though our behavior might not be any different, the labeling it as such, made it feel more restrictive. Funny how it can be psychological.
-My forsythia is starting to get that green/yellow "haze" to them which means they will bloom soon.
-virtual hugs are germ-free
