Woo hoo!! Only 8 more days!

At noon today, we will officially be halfway through March. That sounds pretty darn good to me. The sun was out all day yesterday and when I took the dogs out around dinner time, there was still a lot of snow on the lawn. I was gobsmacked when I took them out this morning and most of it is melted. Now we just need some sunny days to dry everything out.

I was able to get quite a bit done around the house, including Cait's taxes. I am not finished with them but if we don't claim her as a dependent, her tax bill goes waaaaaay down. I have to research a bit to make sure it is "legal" -- not the right word but YKWIM? It has to be on the up-and-up, I don't want any problems with the IRS so I want to make sure there are no mistakes with any of it.
But whew, that will be a relief when I get them all signed and submitted.
I am off to the supermarket today and since you all know how I feel about "people" I want to get there early. I don't mind people, generally speaking, I just don't want to be stuck behind them and their carts in the store. ;)

Other than that, I have two s**** jobs to do today. One is literal: Scooping the lawn since the snow is melted. hehe The other is to contact the state one last time. I found an additional email/dept that I have not contacted yet and will see if they have any idea where my application is and how to get it pushed through. Even if the app is denied, I would like to know that. I can probably push off paying the electric bill one more day. *bangs head against the wall* Why is it so difficult this year? Never had trouble like this before.

Wish me luck at the store!

xoxo

OK, I just sent the last email to the state. I wish they would just accept/reject the application already so I don't have to keep this up. LOL (JK, I really don't want the application denied) Don't they want to approve it so they don't have to keep hearing from me??

@BrightEyes hope you slept better/later today
Woah!!!! 28 LO so far!! I don't think I do that in a year. (I do, but it would take me months LOL) Are you excited/ready to have DD#3 move in?

@taxed4ever That is so sweet of your old friend and coworker. I am going to join your call to Vicki R about the tutorials :D Did you get the tablet set up?

@Cherylndesigns How fantastic of you and your Grandma to work with Meals on Wheels. It doesn;t surprise me one bit that you came from Good People.

@Lynn Grieveson I had to get up early when my kids were little. I am not a morning person, don't; even think to talk to me before I have coffee. Then it just seemed to be ingrained. Now that I am old, my body hurts too much to let me sleep in

Hugs!

Morning, gals. Yep... another early (4:30 AM) wake-up. Something seems to be wrong... as that is 3:30 off of DSTime!!! Yikes, my mind is saying move backwards 1 hour when it should be saying spring forward 1 hour! ! ! !
So glad I got my errands done yesterday. I lucked out and found 2 longer SS tees with curved hems in med blue and lilac and I was not looking for tops - just saw them at Sam's when I stopped by to get some needed items. They will be good to wear with the stretch pants and/or shorts. It was so nice out then ... I was comfortable to just be in a top/pants... no jacket needed and no wind - just a beautiful day! ! ! Really felt like Spring had arrived!

I will busy as a cat on a hot tin roof today. I finished 1 LO this morning for OS... and 2 last evening and will be uploading several others I have already made (another forum) this afternoon. Tuesdays are always a busy day for me most weeks but have to admit that this month it has been unusual. Because I don't trust my computer lately (think it is over-full), I have been doing a back-up before I shut it down... every time! Can't afford to lose any of the LOs! I need to switch over to the 5 TB ExHD for back-ups but don't want to take the 15+ hours it will take. And one of these days, I need to switch everything over to DH's computer.

Off to get dressed.. then it will be nose to the grindstone... as I upload the LOs. CYL

Morning everyone! It is another very cloudy grey day, but I do see a patch or two of blue sky out there. Off to the pool this morning, but I think it will be busy as it is spring break and the kido's will be doing swimming lessons and the swim club will be doing training sessions. It might be a good plan to give them a phone call beforehand and see what is going on. I was awake several times last night and tossed and turned for half the night grrr. So ended up sleeping in until 7:45 but feel like I could crawl back to bed and sleep the day away. Hopefully some caffeine will help me out! I spent a good portion of the day setting up my Wacom tablet and figuring out just how I would like to have some of the shortcuts for photoshop. Tomorrow looks like it might be a half decent day, so I should be going on the hike Hooray!! I need to get out and get some exercise! Ok I started this post over an hour ago and the boys called LOL. They wanted to show me all their new Sklyanders that they found over the weekend. Heather and both boys are not feeling well, sore throat, cough, (Covid??). We are not sure, but hopefully not. Not a fun way to begin spring break! So it is now almost 10 am and I am still in pj's. I did manage to empty the dishwasher and make my bed while face timing with the boys LOL. Sometimes Hunter is a bit hard to understand when he talks to me, he has trouble with pronunciation but then he is only 4. Calls watching videos - blideos LOL. So I really have to listen when he tells me all about what he is doing.

@faerywings - Chris it is so nice to hear that the weather has warmed up for you! Hooray for the snow melting and hopefully the sun will come out for you too! I just love your cute little hedgehog! Always reminds me of @felis. I have a mug with hedgehogs on it and think of her whenever I use it. Wishing you luck with your shopping today! I don't blame you for not wanting to be stuck behind people and their carts, hope that the store is not too crowded for you! Hope you get your other s*#t job done too LOL. It will be good to be outside!

@BrightEyes - Ugh you were up very early this morning! I could have gotten up at that time too, but instead tossed and turned for a couple of hours, I just hate that!! Sounds like a very busy day for you today! Glad that you had such a nice day yesterday with the warmer temps! Spring is coming!! Hope you get things transferred over to your DH's computer soon! I keep all my layouts and scrap supplies on EHD's so it doesn't bog down my old iMac, which is working so much better now that our Son installed a new hard drive on it and more memory! Gotta love that boy!

Ok I have been in my pj's far too long and its time to hit the shower. Have a great day everyone!

Hi everyone, wishing you a safe and successful day!

It took a few days for my headache to lift as it was hormonal, thank you for asking @faerywings @Lynn Grieveson

Had a good few days here, I'm just going to have a look at my designer challenge layouts whilst the little ones are eating their dinner :)

Good morning everyone. Got some packing done this morning and now am waiting for D to buy some more boxes on his way back from the city dump later this afternoon. We have 2 wks now to finish up the packing. Its coming along. Remi is feeling out of sorts, following me around as I pack. She's been even more attentive and clingy, if that is possible LOL. This morning she spent about 10 minutes snuggling and licking my face and hands, then when I got up from the floor she barked at me to lay down again, she grabbed my floor pillow and lifted it, then placed it beside me. That is her way of telling me to stay and lay down on the floor with her. Isn't that adorable?

I'm heading out to the dog park, I haven't taken them in a week. They need it.

I have just finished a good book "The Hundred Years of Lenni and Margot" and it is my fave book this year. It was so good.

I'm heading out now. Have a good day everyone.

Good afternoon, Lovelies.

I slept in today - thanks to my room darkening draperies. WHY didn't I get them sooner?

Chris @faerywings I was SO busy "with life" yesterday and totally spaced on your post:

"Sat night, the kids went to the HS play with Sam and her family. The HS had a small memorial for her brother and created a scholarship in his name as well as naming the Audio Booth in the Auditorium after him. Caitlyn said she couldn't stop crying. It sounded like the family knew about the memorial/scholarship but had no idea they were naming the booth after him. It has to be a comfort that he won't be forgotten for generations to come."

That is SO beautiful - everything but especially that the school named the booth after him! As you said, he'll never be forgotten. Sorry I didn't mention this yesterday. It popped into my head last night - you know how my brain works - DOINK!

Thanks for your kind words about my "people". Grandma did lots of good things - I was also reminded (because of the Ukraine war) that she was very active in working with "displaced persons" - that's what she called them. They were immigrants that were sent to our city. I was just a kid, and didn't quite understand it all, but Chuck (my history buff) said - based on when it was that it had to be (among them) Ukrainians. My memory got jogged when he said Latvia, though - that was it.

Trudy @taxed4ever enjoy your swim and your FT! It's bright and sunny here today and already 63 - it's going back into the 70's in a couple of days.

Kay @BrightEyes keep on scrapping, girl - hope you can scrap on little sleep. LOL

Rachel @Rachel Jefferies nice to see you pop in and glad your headache is letting up. Maybe it's the weather? I get them when the weather is up and down. Good luck with your design work today. Hope the little ones will let you work.

I'm going to try to get some scrapping done today - I didn't get much done yesterday and I had a blog post due, which I ended up spending what computer time I had on. (I hope that makes sense.)

Happy Tuesday everybody.

It feels like spring is a possibility even here now. Sun's been shining for a couple of dags and you can see patches of the grass here and there in the snow.

I am feeling better, but still very tired. Found an Australian TV show on our public service channel, spending my days binging that one. It's called McLeods Daughters. Really like it so far (halfway through 2nd season). Nice company while knitting.

Tomorrow's my birthday. Not in the mood for that. We don't really celebrate It anyway, so no big deal. I will be 55 tomorrow. Feels so weird: tomorrow I will be older than my big sister, who passed away when she was 54. In my mind she's 8 years older than me. It messes with my head!!!
