I did a double take on the date- I wanted to make sure that I had it right. The 13th? Already? wow.

yesterday was the perfect spring day! it was so nice.
I spent about an hour or so doing yard work. Its been very dry this winter, so it was easy to do raking and stuff. But it was weird. Being that we had hardly any snow, there weren't that many leaves to rake, they had all mostly been blown to the woods. I cleared some gardens and the ivy out. Picked up some sticks, and stuff like that. It was also really weird to see so much green popping up this early.

Today is a long day for me, lots of running, then I am working. But I can't complain. One of my clients asked me to clean for a friend of hers. The woman must be around my age, maybe younger, and is having a double mastectomy. Her friends all chipped in to have someone clean for her so when she gets home from the hospital, the house will be all set for her. I usually don't like to clean 4 days in a row, its way too much for my old bones LOL, but I felt that this was important. And no matter how achy I feel, the woman is having a much harder time than I am.

For al of my fellow insomniacs, there is a really good book and CD that helps me a lot.

I put the CD on my ipod and listen to it when I can't sleep at 2 am, 3 am... I could have called you Linda S!!

Laurie- How nice to have the boys home together! I bet it doesn't happen as often as you'd like. Hope the nose stopped running!

Kristy- how was your day? Fun with your company?

Phyllis- my yard slopes off into woods, so any run off that doesn't end up in my basements, heads back there ;)
I went grocery shopping yesterday too, and my goodness, I have to go back again. grrrrrr. There were no corned beef left and they weren't coming in until after noon. OK I can deal with that, it happens. But they had the entire dairy dept torn apart. They must be doing some sort of rearranging and there was nothing on the shelves. I hate going on Monday's but I didn't have a choice. Food shopping makes me cranky on a good day and this was NOT a good day LOL

Did you have any luck looking at dressers? I can't imagine having to start over. UGH!!!

maureen- insomnia really stinks.... While I was in that "in and out state" I did have a nice dream too. Not musical like yours, but heartwarming none the less. I dreamed that I was teaching at an inner city school and President Obama came to visit. A little girl was coming to school late and had missed his speech, but when she saw him in the hall, she ran up to him, threw her arms around his legs and called him Daddy Obama. Like his politics or not, it was a cute dream.:)

Linda S-- hoping for better sleep for all of us tonight. Glad you got to enjoy the nice weather!

morning all - I need to go walk at least a mile on the treadmill. I bought some generic claritin yesterday and it is helping. Now to just adjust to the time change- someday when I retire, I am just going to follow my own internal clock and not change my clocks- wonder if it will work? It is going to be gorgeous today, so I will be inside all day- yeah! Oh well, by the time I get home, I will have to take a photo of my daffodils, which think they should be opening! Maybe I will pick one or two to brighten the office today!

no, i haven't even BEGUN to look for furniture again. it's so depressing, because there's my newly painted bedroom, with the new valences and comforter, etc., and new carpet--and then there's my ugly old furniture that used to be my Aunt's.

Laurie. daffodils. WOW! i should go out back and see if anything is coming up here. i did see some crocuses in someone else's yard yesterday. look fast before the deer get them!

Linda. 3 a.m. wow. that used to happen to me all the time. and it was always 3 a.m. when i woke up. my answer (and cure, actually,) was kind of like what Chris suggested, except i have a lot of audio books on my iPods and i fall asleep listening to Harry Potter (softly) in my ear, or something, and if i wake up at some rude hour, i turn it on again before my brain can start thinking about stuff and start listening again. works every time.

Maureen, you have nice dreams! (sorry about the furniture moving channelling....) i can't seem to remember my dreams lately. they're usually not cool dreams. i dream things like i'm in high school and on stage for the high school play and can't for the life of me remember my lines. or that i'm in an airplane and i actually LIKE it.

gonna go get a painting of my father's framed. just a little one of a woman in a garden. i hadn't looked at it for a while. got it from my mom's house after she died. i turned it over the other day and saw that it was painted in 1958, and as a joke, my dad had written on the back "Price: $200,000." i had a good laugh. that was my dad.

hope the temps are going to be great where you are today. looks like we're going to be at almost 70 degrees. i hope Spring is really here and that we're not going to get hit with another St. Patrick's Day blizzard....

Ok ... I took him for a walk and fed him. He looks much calmer now, and isn't staring accusingly at me anymore. Guess I found out how to tame him :)

hello stoppin in!! yesterday was fun we had lunch and watched a movie then went strolling around goodwill for a bit....
then today i went to another friends house...which im gonna do pretty much every day during the week....and we exercised! so we did that for an hour plus i did 20mins before i went to her house....this is her first day so im hoping to bump her up to 2 hours a day when im over there LOL
umm came home had lunch then i did a little bit of yard work...weeeeeeeeeee.....and yeah just sitting here relaxing til hubs gets home....

Eva - what ever is that thing? I think something like that is hidden in my closet but I just leave it in there so that it doesn't scare the children. :D
