Hello and good morning to you all!

It was a gorgeous day here yesterday again. Sunny- a bit cool but not too bad. Wonderful in the sun. We took the dogs for a walk in the morning. Ray was so excited when she saw the leash. It used to be that she would shake until we got started but now she is happy and was waiting at the door while we got the other two all ready. I love waggy-tails.

I spent so much time outside yesterday. My shoulder are a bit sore from pulling up some roots and digging out rocks. I was able to split some more plants, move them around a bit, add in some more ground cover. Talked to some toads.
Do you remember last week when the kids got the motion-activated camera to watch wildlife in the backyard? It has been up and the first night we saw two deer. Yesterday we saw chipmunks, squirrels and the baby raccoon! We are one animal away from the first row Bingo on the card Caitlyn made.

Last night after dinner we played another round of Cards Against Humanity. That game is brutal. Cait kicked butt.

Today we are going to get to 90* so if we are going to take the dogs we are going to have to do it early. The heat won't bother me to be in the yard as long as I drink lots of water. I didn't yesterday and I was so thirsty when I came in.

I have to finalize the food shopping today and that is the only big To-Do.

Hugs!!

Trudy- COVID life ended in New Zealand... it is never going to end in the US. pfft.
That is sad to hear about your MIL. Does she use a cane? It sounds like you had a nice day with them. How are the cabinets and range hood coming along? Was your Gary able to take the hood apart or will that have to wait until the weekend?
I know, I feel terrible for Scott. I would imagine that summer camps would require masks since they are required everywhere in NJ, even for kids over 2. I think 2 is the age.
The turtle names are way too cute! Have the boys shown them to you on Facetime yet?

Jean- I hope that it doesn't get too hot by you today.
I don't understand why people are so "mask-resistant." When we first had to use make it felt strange like everyone was looking at you weird. Now it just feels strange cuz it gets hot! haha! The kids went out on Scott's inflatable rowboat yesterday and when I reminded them to bring masks they kinda looked at me like I was being overprotective (which is true, I can be *winks* ). But when I said that you never know if you are going to be close to people better to have one with you, they did take them. Caitlyn said that she ended up wearing hers by the boat launch area since it was crowded.
Thanks for the info and non-recommendation for PSP!

Rae-- if you see this, I am thinking of you!

good morning - wow we are having great weather - cool in the morning and warm in the afternoon. Spent the whole day with my DH as he got his first cataract surgery. We left around 10:30am and did not get home until around 4pm. Of course I could not go in with him and the surgery center was to far to go home and then come back. So I sat in the parking lot. Luckily not too hot. I had to make sure not to drink too much as I could not go in and use a bathroom. Well he did great. It looks sort of like he has a bit of a black eye. We go back in 2 weeks for the other eye. After dinner walked Luther. Did it before dark as in our area a bear was seen. Got updates and made the NBC local news at 6pm that a bear was seen and to keep pets indoors. It is on the other side of the city from me but still. Now are city is really going rural with the foxes and now a bear. I hope it continues to go west! This will be quick as I have to DH to eye doctor to make sure all is ok.
Have a great day all!

Morning ladies... It is a rainy day here and I am keeping my fingers crossed that tomorrow will not be so wet! Even if it is I will still go on the hike, it will be nice to see everyone again, well at least the ones that will hike in the rain LOL. The rain is timely as the flowers and bushes in the back were getting pretty dry, so now I won't have to worry about watering them. I got a lot accomplished yesterday and finished off the last cupboard and shelves and the fronts with the glass. Now I have to wait for DH to be home to take apart the range hood. He is taking Friday off so he can do that and to catch up on some other chores that did not get done last weekend. So today I have a day off from painting and wondering what the heck will I do with my time LOL. I started on a layout for Vicki Robinsons challenge and hope to get started on another with my before and after photos of the kitchen re-do today. Lots of commenting to catch up on too!! I have been so bad for not doing that lately :sorry:

Chris - It made me happy to hear that you got out for a nice with the dogs yesterday! I hope that you will be able to get out again today before it gets too warm! How fun to see all the wildlife with the camera you have set up! Nice to know that the baby racoon is doing well too! Yes I have seen the turtles on face time, not sure how long the poor little things will live with two little boys picking them up playing with them all day long. They are pretty careful to be gentle with them though. I was looking at the numbers of new COVID cases this morning and our entire province had 30 while the state below us (Washington) had almost 400, so we will not be opening the border to go visit the states for quite some time I guess. I hope that things improve for everyone soon! Enjoy your time outside and remember to drink lots of water! Good luck with your food shopping also!

Nancy - How wonderful to hear you enjoying the nice weather these days! We are totally opposite of you right now and having lots of rain and cooler temps! So glad that your DH's cataract surgery went well, that is strange that he looks like he has a black eye though. Hope that things are good with the Dr. visit today. Does he have to put drops in his eyes a few times a day?? Yikes on the bear being spotted, guess they are venturing into areas they never used to because of the lack of people being around for all those weeks of isolation. Hopefully it will not be destroyed!

Jean - Sounds like you have had a couple of nice days and how great that you got out to see some birds! What is a Bobolink? I have never heard of that before. Guess I will have to google that one. Funny that so many were without masks on your walk, especially if social distancing was not possible. We are not required to wear masks yet, but then we have no cases here on the Island. I think the only place where wearing masks is required is at Costco, where it is impossible to not be too close each other. Glad to hear that your computer will be repaired and that it shouldn't cost too much Whew!!

Ok I will go make the bed before my daily face time with the boys and then I should really face time with Isaac and Sadie too. We haven't heard from them for a while now. I am sure that they are busy with school work and then spending time around the pool. Have a lovely day everyone!

This has been a very frustrating day. Hopped in my car to run a couple of errands but first it wouldn't recognize the key fob... so grabbed my extra key - same thing. So changed the battery in both fobs. Got back in and the car wouldn't start.. then started flashing lights, windshield wipers, turning radio on... all kinds of crazy things! ! ! So called AAA and the guy put a jumper on it and got it to start - backed it out of the garage and towed it over to the dealer. They just called - battery is shot so needs a new battery and a couple of other things... once that is done, will see if that fixes things. Sure hope so. Will have to wait to see when it is done. Really hope that it is done later today or by early tomorrow morning. Guess I should be happy that it happened here at the house so I wasn't stranded somewhere else.

Gotta run... phone is ringing. CYL
