Hello and welcome to a Tuesday that feels like a Wednesday to me.
I have my grocery pick-up set for this morning because I need some items for our theme night tonight. I usually have that set for Wed, hence my day-date confusion. It's not raining ATM so maybe I'll luck out as I pop in and out of the stores.

Lunch with my parents was a *huge* success. I told them all I wanted for my bday was for them not to bicker. And they did it! dance3 Who knew it was possible? heh. I even teased them as I was walking out the door-- I gave them a 3,2,1 countdown and told them to have at it. yeah, I am still a bratty daughter. LOL Lunch was delish! I got an asparagus risotto with seared scallops and it was to die for. So good. And I got my glass of Pinot, which my dad and I were laughing about. $18 for a glass of wine. My boxed wine is $22 and it's three bottles :rotfl: :drunk:. And sure, it was nice but even the "good" brand of wine I like, Tosca Pinot Grigio ($12), doesn't taste that different than the fancy stuff I had yesterday.

Scott didn't think he was going to be home for dinner but was able to rearrange his schedule and was there. The fam gave me the best and most thoughtful gifts this year. They always do but this year it seemed like everything meshed together perfectly. Caitlyn got me some summery nail polish and a really cool plant propagation stand. It's a wooden stand with three little test tube-like bottles for the clippings. Gary got me a small pair of binoculars to take hiking. Scott got me a brand new backpack stuffed full of hiking supplies for Gary and me. First Aid kit, ponchos, bug spray, thermal blanket, etc. Now I just need the rain to stop so we can get back out there.

Today will be pretty busy in the kitchen. Since I didn't think the family would be together yesterday, I asked for a family dinner tonight. Sam and Tom are off on Tuesdays so they are coming here too. Scott had said that he wanted us to watch the new Puss in Boots movie so we are renting that and I am preparing a low-key theme night. Scott and Sam are making empanadas, and I am making yellow rice, trempo (Spanish tomato and bell pepper salad), and a vegan tres leches cake. I have the menu/food tags/drinks started in PS so I'll finish them up and print them out later today. It's very low-key for us but perfect for a weekday. We still want to have a full-out theme night over the summer, just need to look at dates and themes.
You all know me, just having the family together is all I need ♥

Tip for Tuesday:
Do any of you have suggestions on what kind of plants I can water-propagate? I don't have a green thumb for indoor plants at all but I want to give it a shot. TIA!

Hugs!

@tanteva ya can't leave us hanging like that, what did you get from Lynne's shop??

@vickyday hahaha! Love the James Bond emoji
Stay cool in that heat. Sounds like the perfect time to head out for a ride and to play with the dogs. How did the weather hold out for you? I lucked out that it rained before I left my house and didn't start again until I was almost home. But an hour later, holy moly it was awful. We had some big branches come down in the yard. Oh wow, I looked out my window right now and an even bigger one is crossing the little path into the woods. That needs to get moved or I lose my access to the woods when I rake leaves.

@taxed4ever I wish I could send some rain your way too. My basement is getting water and everything is just soaked.
How wonderful that your house and yard are looking like new again. What is the countdown until the family heads out to you?

@bcgal00 :banghead: what a mess PS is for you right now. I hope you are able to figure it out. Do you have the CC subscription?
You'd think the book would be a downer b/c of the premise of the story but it isn't, just the opposite.
That is exactly how I described it to my BFF. When I started it I thought I would be all emotional, putting myself in Vivi's shoes but it has such a sweet and loving vibe to it.

@Cherylndesigns I thought of you yesterday when I was putting makeup on. The tanner is working! My "winter" shade of foundation was waaaaaay too light!
Good luck getting the repellent for the veggies.

@Nonni F Hope that you stay dry and the rain isn't making your yard swampy too. Your garden is so pretty I don't want to see your blooms getting bent down.

Good morning ladies. I haven't opened up PS yet this morning. I am going to wait until I come home later to check if the latest thing I tried worked. I got it working by pulling the adobe PS preference folder out of the adobe folder so it forced PS to build a new folder once I reloaded the program. I had tried resetting the preference folder which hadn't done anything but actually deleting the folder was something new to try. I've got the subscription based PS CC so I'll call adobe later today or tomorrow if it is still not working and see what they say.

My friend from Logan Lake is coming out this morning so we'll head up into the grasslands together to see if we can find any ducks or birds. It's getting really hot here so there may not be a lot to see, they will be looking for cooler areas.

I have been making a list of sights to see for our upcoming Mediterranean trip in the fall. I'll be booking tours soon, that will be fun.

@faerywings Sorry I didn't get a chance to say happy birthday. I was out all morning and then fighting with the computer all afternoon. Sounds like a great family time and then you get a family dinner tonight that sounds wonderful. Enjoy!

I need to get coffee and get dressed so I am ready when my friend arrives. HAGD everyone.

The kit she's releasing tomorrow, or if it's the next day? It was on a special pre-release for newsletter subscribers. It's fricking ama-fabu-liciuos. Animals & rainbows. Looooove it.

Now I just have to stop moaning & feeling low and find some mojo.

I think any ivy type plant would probably water-propagate. I think if you cut a stem off a plant it will propagate in water from the next "nodule" on the stem.

The weather did hold out for us, thank the Lord! I don't want any more hail peltings, for sure!
Mark drove the car to take care of the dogs last night as we were forecast for thunder storms. And we got hail with it! But, he did make it back before all of that started. Mark always has to clear debris in the woods after a storm. He will probably have to work on that tonight! Even Asher hunkered down with the thunder we had!

Good Morning!
Don't know if I mentioned that we bought an upright freezer at Lowe's the other day or not. It was delivered today.....and the problems begin!
First off - couldn't get it in the door. Fortunately Mark had come home to oversee the delivery (and to be sure I was safe :heartpumplove:). He told them to leave it and he would get it in the door. They left. He took the door off the hinges. We STRUGGLED to get it in the door WITHOUT a dolly!
Second - Finally got it in! Mark put the door back on. THEN we noticed the crunched corner of the door! OY VEY! I called the delivery guy (we are already on a first-name basis, lol). He said, "Yeah, I noticed the door but didn't think it was a big deal." WHAT????!!!!! I guess since it wasn't his $600, it was no big deal! He said he would call me when he was going to be back to pick it up.
Third - I got to thinking.....what if Chris decided NOT to come back....we did sign his little manifest showing the freezer was delivered. I called the Lowe's where we bought it (20 minutes from here). First call I got hung up on. Second call I was put on hold for more than 10 minutes. Third time was a charm (but I "mentioned" I was put on hold for over 10 minutes). She transferred me to receiving. FINALLY, Damary told me as soon as Chris had the freezer back at the store she would issue a credit return and then she would place another order and call me with a new delivery date. She said, "it won't be today, however!" It's a good thing I'm not buying this as a replacement! OY-VEY!
Fourth - Still not sure about my guy, Chris.....I called him again to let him know Damary knows about the situation! He didn't answer the first time (and his voice mail is not set up, go figure). Second time he answered with, "Yes ma'am?" HA! (I'll bet I'm on his speed-dial by now, LOL!). He confirmed again that he would give me a half hour window of when he would be back to pick the freezer up.

Oh, yeah.....we STRUGGLED to get the freezer BACK out the door.....after Mark removed the door from the hinges, AGAIN! I'm sure he was GLAD to go back to work, LOL!

So, other than that good news.......I'm doing laundry today!

Hope everyone's day has started out better than mine, LOL!

Good afternoon. It's raining - yay. I forgot to water my plants yesterday, got into bed last night and remembered. I was so happy to see the rain coming in today. We had a severe thunderstorm warning, but not anything from that. I think my babies got a good drink.

Chris @faerywings good news about the tanner! Maybe I need to get those drops and start mixing it in with my face moisturizer. I'm so happy to hear that it's starting to work - it's very gradual, so I'm happy you didn't give up. Was yesterday your bd??? If so, Happy Birthday if not, Happy Everything. Yes, $18 for one glass of wine is steep. We buy the boxed wine too and the whole box is about that. Ridiculous what some restaurants charge - when we occasionally go to the most expensive place in town, they don't even bring us a full glass and charge an arm and a leg. That's awesome that your folks didn't bicker - very awesome.

Vicky @vickyday what a time you've had - I hope Lowe's steps up and fixes it. Customer service is hardly a thing anymore though.

Well, I'm going to go. Hugs to all and Happy Tuesday - I thought it was Wednesday, too.

Quick in and out today. Wasn't feeling up to doing much over the weekend - just vegged and read. I was suppose to go to the base today to pick up meds and commissary shopping. Well, I turned the alarm off and ended up not waking up until 9:30! By the time I got my shower it was after 10:30 so I decided to wait and go tomorrow. The high this afternoon is suppose to be 101F!!!! I plan on staying in and keeping the house closed up.

I finally got a page scrapped this morning.... and hope to get 1 more done with a ColorPlay kit once they are released.

Happy belated Birthday, Chris.... Glad you have a good time with your family.

Hello friends. I didn’t realize it was your birthday yesterday @faerywings until I saw it on Facebook. I thought your folks were just taking you to lunch so you could referee. . It sounds like it was a great day and I’m so happy that you are going to extend the good times by a family dinner tonight!

@bcgal00 the problems you are having with the Photoshop stuff makes me just cringe. It always seems to be just the luck of the draw! Hope that whatever you tried last fixed it but I don’t blame you for going to have some fun first! The planning excursions will be fun! Sydney is nagging at me saying that we need to get to planning our Christmas cruise before she goes back to school. She was explaining to Shaun that he needed daytime and nighttime outfits. That was an interesting discussion.

@tanteva my mojo is also missing. I need it returned.

@vickyday why is everything so hard? Glad that you got it straightened out but really? If you are delivery something that is damaged, don’t just deliver it!

@BrightEyes so good to see you in here today. With that kind of heat, you definitely don’t want to go out! . That is burning up.

Be back in a couple of minutes to finish.

The thing that got my goat was that he had seen it and "didn't think it was that big of a deal!" Really???? Kids these days!
