GoooOd mOrning, O-fam! Well, it was nice while it lasted. *wink* We had three beautiful, sunny days and today it is raining. But that is OK, I have a very busy day running around so it isn't like I could be outside anyway.
I really freaked myself out yesterday morning when I sat down with my calendar. Hoo boy, this week is going to be bonkers. I have to really buckle down and stay focused.

I had a productive day yesterday, even though it feels like I only got maybe 5% of what I needed to do crossed off of my list. My big "project" yesterday was scrubbing out the recycling bin, garbage can, and compost bucket that are under the kitchen sink. So disgusting. I washed all of the wine glasses and battled a million tiny ants. I am not sure if I won that battle. :fencing:
Cait is all done with her classes, says that the Final Exam was easy. I asked her how the Octopus went. She needed a mnemonic for the characteristics of self-actualized personality and it was almost the same as fully- expressive so we added an image of an Octopus. The mnemonic was Octopus Tentacles Can Laugh and the image we created had an octopus giving himself a thumbs up, with a paintbrush in one "hand" and money in the other.
O -Openness
T- Trust in Self
C- Creative
L- Lives richly
Not bad, right? haha!!
When I asked her how it felt to not have any homework, she said she felt a bit lost, no purpose. Then she grabbed her rats and started to snuggle and play with them. That girl!:p
BTW- the image for the other characteristics was an Opossum Emerging from Cait's Trash

I am off to the supermarket this morning and I think I have a handle on what I need for food for the party. Friday is going to a busy day in the kitchen getting everything prepped. This afternoon I have to go to my first PT session. That is going to be a PITB. The place is about 35-40 minutes away, I have to be there 15 minutes prior to "check in" and the sessions are 45 min's long. This is going to suck up tons of time that I don't have this week. Whatever. Nothing I can do about it, right? Yesterday I stepped on something that made me a bit off balance and it really hurt my ankle so I know I don't have a choice. I am glad that I stuck with it in spite of all of the BS last week.

Feel free o send me any extra Zen vibes you have, I sure as heck could use 'em. LOL
Hugs!!

Nancy- bad Luther, running away like that! I don't think I would get any of my dogs to come back if they ran off. How did DH do back at work? At least it should be quieter with the semester over.
I honestly don't know how you watch the Tour de France- sounds terrifying. How exciting to get to Alaska again! One thing that I have found difficult with helping Cait study for Theories of Personality is that I can't help but think about the babies and children being kept in these detention camps on the border and the severe psychological damage that is being done to them. Their personalities, sense of trust and security, will literally *not* progress as it should.

Trudy- I hope that you got a much better night's sleep last night. How scary to hear the accident and then to be without power. Yuck. Good news that the driver was ok-- it reminds me of last year when my dad had that vertigo incident and totaled his car.
I have really been enjoying seeing your paintings- they really are so beautiful!

xoxo!

good morning - Yesterday was busy but found time to watch the US women win the game 2-1. A big mistake by the US defense led to Spain's only goal. The US goals were both penalty kicks. What a difference it makes when you play another really good team. I am always of the believe that in each tournament you only have so many goals so for the US to have used so many in the first game makes it harder in the later games. And so it appears. But as long as the defense does not let in goals then not a problem. Got in a good walk with Luther and also did my wellness swimming. Felt good to be back in the pool. Cooked dinner and it was one of the easier and very tasty a chicken salad - mediterranean seasoned. The boys loved it and again no leftovers.

Chris it was so nice with the sun and I really don't think I need any more rain. But the rain has stopped so I am hoping it will clear up. My son shopped for me yesterday - he is so awesome about this. I came home from swimming and we needed to change cars in the driveway. It took him about 15 min, turns out he dropped his keys in the shopping bag and that was the last place he looked. Kids. Love how you and Cait remember things. So cute!

Trudy you were busy! WOW! Sorry you did not sleep well. That must have been shocking to hear the noise of the crash and then lose power. One of the times I will all this stuff was underground! I am happy with what my Devils have done but still need to see them on the ice!

Waving to all! Have a great day.

Good Morning ladies... Another sunny morning, we are supposed to get rain by tomorrow, but I have a feeling that the forecast will change and it will remain dry here. The river is getting to be frightfully low and now the quest is on to save the salmon eggs that are in danger of drying up with the riverbed. What is going on with our weather?? We are never this short of water! People around here don't seem to care about the water restrictions and most of my neighbours continue to water everyday. don't they understand they are part of the problem?? Anyway I had another busy day of painting and re-did my large canvases in the living room. I have a triptych that I did back in 2016 and they were getting a bit faded, so I wanted to spruce them up and spent the better portion of the day painting those. They are now in lovely ocean colours and so much brighter and vibrant than what they were before. I will try to get a good pic once they are dry and varnished. I hope that today can be spent here at the O and try to catch up on some commenting etc. Maybe even a page?? Please send me some scrapping mojo!! First I need to head to the pool though and get my laps in.

Chris - Yikes the party is fast approaching, but I know that you will have it all under control at least you have a good start on it! I hope your PT session goes well, it really is too bad that it is so far away and is using up your valuable time, but hey what can you do?? WTG Cait for being done with all of her classes and how great that the final exam was an easy one for her! Great fun to have created the Octopus for the mnemonic! Very creative! I did have a much better sleep last night and feel more human than I did yesterday LOL. I was shocked when I started my paintings at 9:30 am and the next time I checked the clock is was almost 2pm!!! Needless to say not much else got done yesterday :becky:

Nancy - Glad that you are having some fun watching the U.S. women!! You are such a sports fan!! Glad to hear that you are still enjoying your wellness swim!! Good for you! Hope that the rain stays away for the rest of the day for you! That salad you made last night sounds really yummy!! :hungry: Yes having all power underground would be a wonderful thing! In our area it is all underground and so nice that the kids can even fly kites and not worry about power lines! However just above us on the road there are power poles everywhere.

Alright I need to get my swim bag and get going before it gets too busy at the pool. Seems if I can get there between 9:30 and 10am it is perfect and not busy at all. Sure hope the water has warmed up since the swim meet this past weekend!! Have a wonderful day everyone!

Hello girls,
these mornings I used my time to scrap, and this wasted my time for the forum. I have to link these layouts and post it. This month I have idea for every of the challenges, but it looks like I wouldn't have enough time. Nothing interesting happens here. At this time of the year my allergy finally is under control and I'm able to go on dog walks or lie on chaise longue (I'm never sure how this is actually called in english) in my garden, only the weeding is still problematic, but this is actually nice excuse ;).

Trudy, both paintings are lovely! Tequila colors are so cheerful, and the turtle have wonderful details! I like the idea for scanning and multiplicate it, too! Oh, would be lovely to show us these redid paintings, please!
Sorry to hear that your area is dry and no one cares! In Europe we had too many rain and many damages, not in my town, but in my country too, I'm sad for all those people and animals.

Nancy, you described such a lovely day, I'm happy for you, girl! When you're going to Alaska? I'm so excited for the photos you'll bring from this trip!

Chris, don't worry for the party, please! You are pro in planing them! How clever and cute are these octopus metaphors! Be serious on the PT session and take this time for yourself!!! Send you hugs!::grouphug

Kae and Jean  ! Jean, thank you so much for your lovely comments on my pages!
