Hey, hey, hey!!:spinningchair: How are you doing today? I am... good. I think... yeah, I'm good.
Gary, OTOH, not feeling good at all. He's been feeling sick for the last several days and sheesh, I wish I could help. The ups and downs and good days/bad days are brutal to watch and to not be able to help. Lyme really stinks. He is still taking a break from the abx and everything is flaring.
I get so frustrated that the abx don't ever make him better but off of them, he is so much worse. I can only imagine how frustrated *he* feels :sad1:

My weather app was correct and the day was gorgeous to sit by my BFFs pool. The water was cold! She was brave and went in, I dunked my feet and that was plenty. We caught up on so much stuff and gabbed for hours. I finally uploaded the photo of the mother-of-the-bride dress I liked to show her before I left my house. Every time I see her she asks and I didn't have it on my phone. But then when I tried to show her, I couldn't find it. The two of us are searching David's Bridal on our phones using the little details I could remember as filters. (Do you have any idea how many shades of blue they give as a search option????) I gave up and texted Caitlyn at work and thankfully she had a minute to send it to me. BFF gave it full approval.

Caitlyn also texted that it's on sale - over $100 dollars off- and now I am thinking I should get over there and try it on again and order it. I wanted to get my dress at the same place Caitlyn got hers but 60% off is a pretty big discount. Just looked at the website and the dress is exclusive to David's...
Maybe I should get over there.

Today has to be a catch-up on life day. And if Gary needs me to take him to a dr, any dr, I want to be available for that.

@LSlycord I'm 100% sure that if you had a choice between working or taking the unpaid holiday and you have both kids home, you would take the unpaid day *every* time LOL
I can't wait to see the photos of the yard and garden! What plants did the landscaper put in? I hope that you get lots of birds and b'flies ♥

@bcgal00 LMK what you think of Dead City, we watched the first episode last night.
You are going to have a really amazing time with your new friends and your new room.

@taxed4ever How did scrapping go yesterday? Did you actually get any pages done or did you get sidetracked? That usually happens to me when I put aside a day for scrapping LOL
I will look for the water/cup to put on top of the feeder, thanks!

@Cherylndesigns I asked Scot yesterday-- he has a JetBoil, about $100 on Amazon. He suggested that you look for knockoffs if you are using it for power outages. He also suggested that you use it outside since it is flammable. I thought it was Sterno but its actually propane fuel.

@vickyday hope that your headache is completely gone by now

Love to all!

That dress is amazing, Chris!

I finished the last challenge today. I'm officially done with the Birthday Celebrations, now I can go back to my grumpy old self.
BUT
we're a happy bunch over here. Yesterday Urban got an e-mail yesterday, telling him that he has been granted some money from a foundation, that he'd applied for to help with his research. Remember, he wrote a book about traveller/tinkers here in Sweden in the 1700s? He's started research on book 2 which will be about the 1800s, and that will require some extra travels to different archives around the country. The money is meant to help financing hotels & trips for that purpose. He got 40.000 SEK (US $3700). Guesstimating it would be about 30 hotel nights for him plus trips.

I will be tagging along on the 2 trips planned this summer, I've even offered to help out with photographing at the archives if needed. Those trips were already booked & planned before he got this grant (that's the right word?), cuz he had gotten some extra money from another place already, that covers our hotel nights.

I married a bright man. With "lots of soil in his pockets" - that's a Swedish proverb translated - meaning you are one lucky bastard. LOL (Guess the idea is if you always have soil, things will grow? Weird proverb!) I like my father's idea better, he always said he would have been a rich man, if he'd ever found a female "hundring", i.e. a 100 SEK bill. If you ever find a female dollar bill, you can breed. LOL

Rambling? Me? NAH ....

Good Morning.....
.....at least until I sit in that dentist's chair! Having a root canal redone and hopefully fixing that tooth's chippedness, LOL!
It has been raining buckets here! What do you do with a dog who won't go out in the rain? You watch him like a hawk!
With this weather my headache is wanting to hang around the edges of my sinuses! But I started coughing and sneezing and blowing my nose yesterday so the headache eased up around noon, thank the Lord! It was coming back by bedtime. But, I didn't wake up with one! I took some Tylenol anyway since I will be leaving here shortly for the executioner's chair!:grimreaper:

Scrapping wise.....I've been trying to catch up on my pages for our bike rides we've taken so far this year. They are all pretty much local but we may be riding the bike the week Mark has the forced vacation. We have a place reserved in the mountains about 2 hours away. We are hoping for good weather so we can ride. We will take day trips from the condo. We are spending 3 nights. It kills me how they advertise for $75 a night but by the time they add taxes and fees and $90 for cleaning :multitasking: it is really almost $400! Irritation plus!!!:tongue3: Give ME the $90 and I'll clean it! Especially since we are only going to be sleeping there, basically!

Rant over!

Have a great day! :bye2:

Morning ladies... Well I don't know why I bother trying to make plans at all! My day never goes the way I want it to! :furious:I should have known that things were going to fall apart as soon as I pulled up the blind on my brand new mini blinds that were installed on the front patio door. The one that is built into the window insert. They got stuck and so I put them back down again, but they would not go down straight and it took forever to get them right again. So I phoned the company that installed them, they said someone would call me right back. :hahano: It was hours later that I got the call back and they said they were sending someone over right away to take a look at it. Well that never happened either. :waiting: In the mean time I decided to get a couple of casseroles made to put in the freezer for when the kids are here. I vacuumed all the mess that was made while cooking and the mess under the dinning room table from Father's Day, decided the floors needed washing again :mopping: and then had to start something for supper. I did try to start to do some scrapping, but something was going on with my internet connection and it was just to frustrating for me to deal with it. :desk3:Needless to say my day was :bs:. Oh well I will try again today, its a new day and hopefully all will go well. I did manage to get the internet working again later in the evening and ordered a birthday gift for Hunter, which should be delivered to Heather today sometime. I need to warn her that it is coming so the boys don't open the package. Hopefully it arrives while they are both still in school.

@faerywings - My goodness girl, get down to that store and get that dress ordered TODAY!! You look amazing in it! What are you waiting for???? I hope that you get caught up on life today and that your poor Gary feels better soon!! It sucks that he feels so crummy and there is nothing that you can do to help him feel any better.

@tanteva - OMG I almost spit out my coffee when I saw your avatar!! :coffeescreen: You are too funny girl!! What wonderful news for your Urban!! He is one lucky guy!! It should be fun for the two of you to travel together and get the info he needs for his second book!

@vickyday - Glad to hear that the headache is not bothering you this morning, but sorry that you have to have your root canal re-done Ugh!! Your up coming bike ride sounds great, but yes the cost of everything is just so frustrating!! Yup you could clean it yourself and save some $$. Oh well enjoy your time away from cleaning etc while you are on your trip!

Ok I need to get the bed made and the dishwasher emptied, hopefully I get a phone call that they are coming to fix my blind today. I am not sticking around all day waiting though. I need to go get a few things at the grocery store. Have a great day everyone! :cowwaving:

Good morning ladies. I was awake for a few hrs in the middle of the night but then slept in an extra hour so it wasn't too bad a sleep. We ended up watching the latest Jurassic Park movie, it was entertaining. I tried to shrink down a few sweater vests I got for Xmas that are now too large as I've lost the weight gain from last year. The first attempt was good, I could now wear them but they are still a bit big so before the fall I'll attempt one more time to shrink a little bit more.

I've got more stuff for charity and will bring Remi so we can go to the dog park. It should be a quiet afternoon. I want to read more of my book, sort thru some more bins. I've only got about 5 bins left in storage to sort thru of misc papers, office stuff, etc. I have a cake plate and dome that should be in one of the boxes. I might run across it at some point but not necessarily b/c everything was a blur when we packed up the house to move last year so quickly, throwing out truckloads of things. So who knows what got tossed LOL. I got the extra game pieces for our sequence game and came across our dog themed sequence game too. I have all the games in a cabinet downstairs so are easily accessible. At the dollar store I got small plastic jars with lids to put the different colored pieces in so players can grab a jar when they are ready to play. Our FB group is sure growing, yesterday we hit over 400 members.

@faerywings That dress is gorgeous! You look fabulous in it! So sorry to hear how poorly G is doing lately. Poor guy.

@vickyday Travel anywhere is getting ridiculously expensive, just like the price of anything else is. I looked at an old airport park and fly invoice and it is 1/3 of what we pay now. It's crazy.

Remi is whining at me so it is time to get her outdoors and I'll get more coffee.

Good late afternoon. I just got my GSO post done - that's a big job and I took someone's post for today that couldn't do hers so it's only been 4 days since my last one. SO, yesterday we were at the pool most of the day. Then Adrienne and I went to Walmart, then to one of our favorite food trucks for our dinner. We didn't eat there, brought it home. It was fun, but I got over heated and I'm really tired today. Today's been a jammie day so far. LOL

Chris @faerywings I agree with Trudy @taxed4ever get yourself to that store and get that dress!! Put it in ay=away I know they do that. Don't make me come to NJ and :whip4: you!!! It's drop-dead gorgeous and you must have it!!!

Thanks for asking Scott about the burner. I think I'll look for something else that isn't quite as flammable - if they make such a thing. I don't want to go out on the patio in the rain just to make my tea. :floorlaugh:(Although I was pretty desperate.) I guess I could go on the front porch, but it was way too windy the other night. I'm probably screwed on finding anything that I can use indoors. I know you can use Sternos indoors, but how long would that take to heat a mug of tea??? Dang, I sure did miss that the other night. We have just about everything else covered but that.

Trudy @taxed4ever I can't believe your blinds did that. I have them in my office door window and I'd be so upset if that happened. They're just about the best invention ever, but now yours broke.

I gotta get off here - I've had my face in this screen for so long and i need to get off. Hugs to all. XOXO
