goooOd morning! Remember how I was complaining that it was 47* this time of the morning last week? It is 73* and 100% humidity. At 6.30 am ;) It was much worse for Scott, he took a picture of the thermometer in the greenhouse where he was working- 120*

The only thing that really stinks is that I have to climb on my desk to open the window in here and Gary took my small fan to put in the LR so I am hot and sweaty.

It actually wasn't all that bad outside yesterday. Gary and I took the dogs for a walk in the morning and I spent 2 more hours wedding and flipping the small area around the little Japanese Maple in the front. I also dug up a bunch of black-eyed Susan's that were growing between bricks and transplanted them on some of the empty spaces. Hopefully they will take but if not, I tried.

Off on the Adventure of a Lifetime this morning, AKA ShopRite where you can look for an item in every aisle twice and still not be able to find it.

Nancy- J squeezed herself on the the 2'x3' section of tile by the front door when we got back from our walk, slobbering everywhere. Good that you got out early and today looks to be a lot nicer.
Hope that Luther is OK from the tick bite. We were playing with W and noticed that she has a cavity, maybe two. It never ends. It makes sense since we have no idea how malnourished she was when her adult teeth were developing.

Trudy- I am relieved along with you that MIL was understanding about the funeral. I can see where SIL was coming from too ha!! Hope that you got everything accomplished that you needed to do and had some time for yourself.

I started my challenge but I am still not so thrilled with anything that I am scrapping lately.

Rae- hope that the new schedule works out for you, must seem like there is never enough time in the day. How sad that B asked about the time in the hospital. It is a good idea to sob and let it out on occasion. How is Jen holding up?

Felis- congrats on getting the Quick Page! I saw that kit in the store and I am going to have to get it at some point too, and that is even better knowing that it will be giving money to feeding strays!! :pupkiss:

Believe me, we tell Cait not to carry money on her but she went to the bank to deposit it and the ATM was not working. She forgot that she had it with her when they went out. Thank goodness for that wonderul lady!

Off to get the day started. xoxoxo

good am - whew it is still hot and humid though they say the humidity is going down. Luther and I out on our walk did not notice it being less LOL. But there is a nice breeze so it was pretty nice actually. Made a really tasty dinner - it was a recipe from Chrissy Teigen - modified for Blue Apron. OMgosh it was so good. Not much else going on but watching world cup soccer and reading. I have to get scrapping. This is sort of funny. Barry Trotz the coach of the Capitals as they won the Stanley Cup resigned. When I got the notice I thought he re-signed. The Capitals were not will to pay him and give him some extra years commiserate to other winning coaches. I think the Capitals will regret not giving him the raise. The players really seemed to be in sync with his style this year. Oh well Caps loss will be another teams gain.

Chris hope the trip to the store goes well. Acme rearranged the store and it drove regulars crazy so they eventually put it back to the way it was LOL. Did you have thunderstorms go through - we did and they were pretty strong. I was surprised. We had a power surge at one point and everything in the TV room shut off. My son said the power went out and I am in the kitchen saying I have lights and everything. The TV room came back on right away. Weird.

Trudy glad your MIL and SIL understand. I am sure the phone calls will be much appreciated as voice is much better than email. The cards and flowers are a lovely touch. Look forward to seeing the pages on wine tour.

Rae sounds like your work schedule will be perfect for you. Again you photos were gorgeous!

Felis that is so awesome to be rewarded with the free page! Enjoy!

Have a great day all!

Morning to you all! Another sunny beautiful day here, it is so nice to see the blue sky and sunshine! It was a real scorcher yesterday and the temps reached around 95 degrees. Thats pretty warm for out here on the West Coast! I did manage to go for a little walk yesterday, but other than that I only did a bit :washing: and spent most of my day trying to get some scrapping done. I did manage to finish off a page for one of the challenges, so that was good. Oh and my new shoes finally arrived, they are so pretty and they actually fit perfectly! I will try to get a selfie wearing my new dress and shoes at some point and do a page LOL. Off to swimming this morning, the water will feel nice and refreshing and then I am having a online steeped tea party for Heather today. She has started selling steeped tea and if you are at all interested in checking it out here is a link... http://www.mysteepedtea.com/KT10013856/content/catalog.aspx If you want to try to purchase anything I will send you an invite to the party. I hope to get going on my page about our Wine Tour today also, hopefully I have the mojo to get it done quickly!

Chris - OMG poor Scott trying to work in that kind of heat! I love the warm weather but I don't know how you can stand the humidity!! I would perish :faint: Ugh on W having those cavities, more $$ to spend at the Vets, does it ever end for you? I had a nice long talk with Aunt Betty yesterday (MIL's older sister) she is just the most amazing woman! She filled me in on everything that has happened with her sister's death etc. and is a huge help for the family with getting things organized for the funeral and helping Aunt Marion's husband out. I just love her! I hope that her and my MIL will mend their fences at this service, it will be interested to find out what happens! Have fun on your shopping adventure today LOL!

Nancy - I bet Luther will be happy when the temps and humidity drop a bit, I know I would be LOL. Your meals always sound delicious from Blue Apron, what was this latest one made of ? That is crazy that the Caps let Barry Trotz go!! I think you are right they will regret that decision for sure! Hope you can get some scrapping done too, it seems we are all in a bit of funk with scrapping lately, guess there are too many other things that are occupying our time? :noidea:

Rae - So sorry to hear that B was so upset finding out how long she has been in the hospital! Poor girl, it must be so very frustrating! I am glad that you were able to cheer her up a bit! I totally understand the crying, it is good to let it out and I spent many times in the shower just sobbing myself, or crying myself to sleep! Keep the faith that she will improve enough to live a full life! I hope your work schedule will be better for you, it sounds like it should be!

Felis - How great that you got that free quickpage! You did a great job of scrapping with it! Love that page! I will have to check out that kit for sure! I hope that you can find a happier book to keep you interested in reading and maybe one day you can go back to that one and finish it off.

Ok I better get looking at what I want to order from the steeped tea catalog for myself and then hit the pool. I need to mail out some sympathy cards right away too. Aunt Marion's hubby does not want flowers in the house, he is having a difficult time accepting that she is gone and is hardly talking to anyone about anything. I hope that you all have a great day and that the day is sunny, but not too warm for you all!

I'm back now that the temps are again humane (upper 70s). Yesterday was again a record high 94 and Sunday "only" 92. Meeting Saturday was very nice and nice having DH along. Sunday night when we went out to dinner, found the restaurant closed with their power off. Went across the street (power only out on one side) to another we'd decided to give a second chance and had excellent dinners, much nicer than when it was new. Still having fun with DH's DNA matches and putting together the family of his great grandmother. Today is his birthday and I loved surprising him with a card, this year I did it larger as one of my drawings, and two shirts. It isn't really much of a surprise as I always do about the same but I think it makes him happy and for sure he smiles.

Felis, love the quick page and template you've just scrapped. They look wonderful and have a great message. I understand about trying to fit into the monthly challenges. This month one really appealed, but I'm not as inspired on the rest even though they're very nice. Or I'm just not inspried period!

Chris, it's so great that lady brought Cait's purse home. But I'll bet she didn't want any fuss made either. Hope you made it through the grocery store without too many meltdowns and that the whole family has weather they can tolerate.

Nancy, that sounds nuts about the Caps coach! That's the kind of thing we expect of Cleveland teams. Your Blue Apron meals always intrigue me they sound so good. Hoping Luther is well from the tick and not so hot today.

Trudy, hurray for the new shoes! Look forward to seeing you in them and the dress. So sorry about the sadness in the family and the crazy family dynamics. You're dealing with them the best you can and that Aunt Betty seems a real gem.

Rae, lady, you are so strong and positive. Sorry it takes such a toll on you, but you've seen all the support here including the need for letting it out in tears when necessary. Glad you have a new schedule to help you get things done with a little less pressure.

Good morning (almost afternoon now), ladies. I got all caught up on my work this morning and will be diligent throughout the afternoon so that we can get out of her as soon as possible when D comes home from work, to get up to the hospital. He is really missing B as he didn't get to go to the hospital all wkend with me b/c he had to work all wkend.

I've been enjoying the early evening walks with Taz. He has now become used to this schedule and repeatedly slaps my legs and stares at me if I don't take him out LOL. Last night he went swimming with 4 other dogs for quite awhile and it really lifted my heart to watch him. He came home, wet and muddy, so had some playtime in the tub which he also enjoyed.

Chris - hope the shopping isn't too stressful and you find everything you need. Sounds like you enjoyed your time outside. I too am enjoying the good weather and am sad to see that the temps are dropping again here by the end of the week.

Nancy - what are you reading now? I put two apps on my phone so I can read my books from both local digital libraries. It's not as good as reading on my e-reader but is more practical, being able to read anywhere I go with my phone. I wish the apps synced with my ereader but hopefully someday they will get that figured out. I'm reading "I'll Be Your Blue Sky" and am totally immersed in it.

Trudy - Yes, post a pic of your new dress and shoes. Do you have everything now that you need for your trip? Have a good swim today.

Jean - glad you had a better meal the second time around at the other restaurant. Hope your DH has a great birthday.

Felis - that is wonderful to hear the proceeds from the pets kit goes to charity. I too have messed up rules for challenges before LOL. I'm sure we all have at some point or another. Sometimes I tend to read thru things too quickly and miss details.

I'd better get some lunch and get back to work so I can continue to stay on top of work today. My load is much better than yesterday, thankfully. Have a great day, everyone!

Good morning girls.
I love the weather right now, we have rainy afternoons, and then is so much easy and pleasant to work at the garden. Unfortunately Biggie also likes the soft earth and he digged really huge hole at my mom's flower bed. She is mad with reason. There just was start to grow new Paeonia, and they aren't cheap at all. We have a huge yard with thousand place with grass where he can dig, but no. Ugh!

Rae, the story for the swimming dogs is so cute! I'm sure it was fun. So good that you are found book which likes! Oh, and you are so kind, thank you for the nice words, but we all knows that I misunderstood the challenge rules, because of my poor english. I can read it ten more times and will continue to understand the same, because of the gramatics. But thankfully Ona explain me what she is meant, and where is the difference.

Jean, happy birthday to your husband! Wish him lovely year with much music on it! I think tradition are something very special even when they aren't surprising! Good that this restaurant is been improved with the practise, so you to have nice dinner!

Nancy, so strange to lose power only in one room. So good to have breeze on your walk. The excellent dinner made from you can't surprise me at all! :)

Trudy, good luck on Heather in her new employment! Hope the tea party is been successful! Oh I definitely want to see selfie with your new outfit!

Chris, isn't have people which to guide customers at your shop?! Hope you'll can find what you need this time! Don't forget to tell Scott to drink enough water! At least you can enjoying to the hotness!
