Hey there, O-Fam, how are you all today? I am doing A-OK. Really, I am! haha!!
Yesterday was another pretty day, chilly but sunny so I will take it. I went for a walk with my friend across the street. We stayed a good distance apart and I wore my mask. It was good to catch up. I have been worried about her DD who has been like a second daughter to me when the girls were growing up. They moved in when Cait was 18 months old and they are 10 days apart in age. She is moving to FL next month and I hope that she will be able to stay safe and healthy. FL is a huge hotspot right now. But it was good to talk to someone outside of my family. First time in a long time.

I also did a bit of weeding, made a good dinner. Cleaned the kitchen of the last stuff for the Halloween night. Oh, and I scrapped a page for a kit that is coming out soon. I love feeling productive.

Today I have more laundry to do-- that never ends. I have to make a card for Arlene's b-day which is on Thursday. Then more work on the yard. I can't seem to stay away from that :p

What good stuff do you have happening?

Gratitudes:
-that I don't have to wash my clothes by hand hahaha!!!!
-that I scrapped a page and I *like* it
-coffee, sunshine, rats, and dogs

Nancy- I was sooooooo happy to hear the case from the Court!! What a relief and that seems to overrule the Executive Order that he put out on Friday. Cait's trans friends were both angry and terrified by that so this is really good news.
No rain until the weekend? We will be watering the plants every day I guess. Gary used our rain barrel yesterday, I hope that we have more in it so we don't have to pull it from the well.
I can't imagine how difficult it is going to be for the universities in the Fall. My school district recently voted to close one of the Elem schools and turned the Middle school into a 6-8th grade instead of 7-8. It is too bad that they did this, they could have kept class sizes much smaller. I don't know if they can change it back at this point. It is all so difficult.

Trudy- sorry that your weather has been so bad. Wait, what?? Hunter is going to be 3???? That is not possible! That went fast for me, I can't imagine how fast for you and for Heather. Happy b-day to Isaac!
I hope that you can talk your Gary into making some raised beds for you, esp if your neighbor is giving you some extra plants.
I love that quote-- be kind, be calm, stay safe. Excellent advice! Can we adopt Dr. Henry? :D

Jean- Argh! What a mess with the car! How long will it take to get the part in? And to have to go food shopping too- I am glad that you were able to walk and that the weather was ok to do that but still.
How fun to read the short story online and to get three different endings. The themes sound like they would be the exact kinds you enjoy.
Yeah, I thought the same about the fossils- it is a park that supposedly has them and was where the class was supposed to go together before everything shut down. As long as he got the paper in, I don't think he or his professor cared all that much. heh
The podiatrist goes by my descriptions- pain, movement. Not ideal but better for everyone to do it by phone.
Hope you get the car back today!

Waving hi to everyone!

Morning everyone and for a change the sun is out and the skies are blue!! Not sure how long it will last, but we will take what we can get! The weather looks to be good for our hike tomorrow too, so that makes me happy! This morning I will get my layout posted about the kitchen re-do and then I think I will try to get another page done for one of the challenges. It is our oldest grandson's birthday today and so far he still has not gotten his card that I sent out to him  Oh well not much I can do about the mail is there?? I need to get a card made for FIL too. Tomorrow will be a non-productive day as I will be out hiking and looking so forward to getting some much needed exercise!

Chris - So happy for you that you got to talk to someone other than a family member yesterday! I hope you both had a lovely walk and got to catch up on lots of things! Your friend must be very worried about her daughter going to Florida! I hope that she can stay safe and virus free! Sure you can adopt Dr. Bonnie Henry as long as you let her live here with us in B.C LOL. Oh and the quote should have been Be Kind, Be Calm and Be Safe! LOL. Hope that you are able to get back outside in the yard today! Yes I will try again to get my DH to agree to a raised bed for some raspberries, after all berries are the only fruit that I eat with my Keto way of life, so it would save us $$ in the long run right?? You had a very productive day yesterday and I am so happy that you got to scrap with the new products coming out soon! I bet it felt very therapeutic to get that one done!

Jean - Oh dear that is too bad that you have to be without your car! Good that you live close to the grocery store at least and I hope that it wasn't too warm of a walk for you and your DH! Yes I really need to get back to doing some artistic painting and actually I did a little yesterday. The woman that is leading our hike tomorrow wants everyone to bring a little metal or wooden trinket to hang on a tree that is decorated along the hike. So I found a little rectangular piece of wood and did a pour on it. Now I need to drill a hole and use some kind of wire so it can hang from the tree LOL. It was fun to do something quick and pretty again! I hope that you can soon get back to your artistic work too!

Hello to Nancy, Kay and Felis  I hope you are all having a wonderful day and are keeping well! Off to the shower and then I will get my page posted! Enjoy the day ladies!

good morning - another lovely day! Blue skies low humidity though I think the humidity is creeping up. Got out with Luther for a walk in the evening. Was so nice. My DH has gone to work so I am home alone with quiet. Watched a fun documentary on Impact of Women on the Disney+ channel. It was so interesting and really great to see what women are accomplishing and what role models they had. I will walk Luther later in the day as my DH walked him early. So funny how much further he will walk on these nice days. Feel bad for him when the days get hot this weekend.

Chris so glad you are feeling better! I think this weather helps I know it does me. Plus there was some good news for a change. I saw your food from Halloween night on facebook and it looked so fun and yummy. I loved the skeleton in the empty chair. too funny.

Trudy glad your weather has improved. I hope you take a photo of the tree that you are going to decorate. That should a so interesting to see. Happy birthday to your grandson. Wow mail is slow. I hardly ever mail anymore so I don't know how fast or slow it goes. Have fun on the hike tomorrow.

Jean that sucks you are without a car. I hope they get the part soon. I bet the walk was good as your weather was not too bad. Have you tried the online shopping and delivery like Chris does? I tried but never any spots so I gave up but maybe now with things opening up there would be spots. But awesome email. How fun to play the game and get different endings. You and your genealogy get the such interesting finds. I will have to search for that set of books. Sounds very interesting as I am almost through with the Box books.

Quick in and out... had a phone appt with primary care doctor this AM. Got a new Rx for the new BP meds as it is working fine. Referrals for tests and to see a GI doctor. Will be going to the base to get the meds - maybe on Thursday. Commissary is now open for retirees/spouses on Tues and Thurs only so will plan trip so I can do both.
ETA: Base pharmacy closed this Thurs... will have to do it on Tuesday next week.

Will catch up on the latest with you all later.

Another lovely day here too. It has warmed up some, but not too much. No special plans except watching the Genetic Detective at 10:00. I too have a birthday card to create for DH's on Friday, a big round number coming for him that he is trying to ignore.

Chris, how nice to get out with your friend even with distancing and a mask. I'll add my hopes that her daughter will be safe and happy in FL. Yesterday really did come together for you. Wishing more of the same for today. Have you picked the next theme?

Trudy, I love the idea for items to hang on your hike tomorrow. That will be a lovely addition to it. Don't forget your camera (or phone). Rats about the card. I was so sure mine to SiL was mailed in time, but it arrived a day late. Oh well, he'll love it whenever it gets to him and will extend his celebration. Hope you get a nice Facetime with him and his family. Hope you get the raised beds for the berries. I think that would be great.

Nancy, sounds like some interesting things you've watched on TV. We've seen a lot of nature themed things on YouTube. If it's warming up I know Luther will be less happy and you'll be wanting to get him out walking early in the morning. But then that's a good time for birds too. We haven't tried the online grocery shopping. At first it was so booked up and now I just can't imagine doing it and getting who knows what instead of what I really wanted. Yesterday the meat selection was not that great and my newest thing is red chard but none of it. I think I'm just too fussy. In fact I find it hard to resist touching and feeling stuff to see which one I like, but that isn't the right thing to do now. Hope you find new books to enjoy.

Hi to Kay and Felis.
