CHEERY O
Ugh, drat, darn it!
Rainy-- again! This weather is so dreary and is making me feel so tired. I guess the bright side is that I haven't had to water my plants in a while. Not much of a silver lining but better than nothing I suppose. *winks*

I did get a bunch of stuff done around the house, laundry and the food list for today. I also started to scrap a page just for fun. I am in love with it. It is with a kit from Lorie Davison and it isn't done yet, but it is making me feel very creative. When I scrap with her designs, it is like all rules go out the window. I also did a bit more "research" in planning for our Casino Night. We are waiting for Cait's summer class to be over and then will have to find a night where everyone will be home for dinner. Scott's certification class finished up last week so he will be around for dinner most nights again too. He is working PT at the Ecology center again and led an educational hike with a troop of Boy Scouts on Sunday. He was happy out there even if it was raining. And he is liaising between The Ecology Center and the County (in a different dept than the Park Ranger one) for some other job. They are all PT and seasonal but I have to believe that it is all good for resume building and networking.

Today I am food shopping this morning and then I will finish the LO. I am so excited to keep working on it. I am making a brown rice risotto for dinner tonight (minus mushrooms since I am allergic). I should get an eggplant- I bet that would be a good substitution for the mushrooms. I love eggplant. I made this before but didn't think of using eggplant... Hmm.

So that is about it. Have a wonderful day!

@tanteva
How many hours can you sit and move elements around on a page before it's a bit crazy?

Obviously asking for a friend.....
hahaha!!!!!
@felis 3 hours-- yup, sounds about right!
What a cute purse! I bet the yarn will have a fantastic texture to it.

Kay- so sorry to hear about the temps by you. Good idea to hibernate if you can. That is too bad about the fans not being on sale yet. Hope that happens soon.
I will have to keep these studs in for a long time, but I need something for my other ear. I only have hoops or dangling ones which might look strange next to the ones I have now. TY so much for the compliments on my garden pages. <3

@tanteva I have never had any interest in soccer but I do love me some popcorn! :D

@Cherylndesigns I am so sorry that you are still not feeling great but I am not surprised, you were really so sick. You are bound to be not 100% for a good chunk of time. Let everyone pamper you, even Dictators need their rest LOL

@nancyr hahahahaha!!!!!!!!!!!! I am not laughing at you, but with you! And I feel the same way very often. All good intentions for getting stuff done and then- poof. I don't do any of it. But at least you and Luther got out for a good walk. It looks like it is going to get hot next week so good to get out now while it is cool. Stay dry if you can. I imagine if Luther gets wet, he stays wet for a long time. I know Ray did.
I hope that the photos from Mixtiles look great!

@scrap-genie Hi there!

Eva-- Good luck to Sweden's soccer team. I hope that they score some goals to make it seem more exciting. If not, stock up on the popcorn!

Morning O-zies!! I have had a busy couple of days, doing what?? Working on learning my Silhouette Machine and puttering around the yard etc. Really it doesn't sound like I was busy, but when I spend almost 2 hours face timing with Heather and the boys it sure seems like the morning is gone and I am playing catch up with everything else LOL. Today I swim laps and then home to have lunch with DH. Then I have to go to the Grocery store to combine our Save On More Rewards as it seems DH has an account of his own there that he knew nothing about LOL. He has quite a few points that I could have used for our flights grrrr!! Anyway they will get put onto my account and will get used at some point. The past few days have been grey and dull with rain off and on, but today will be the last rainy one for a while and then the heat comes Hooray!! B.C. is going into Stage 2 of re-opening and now we will be flooded with people coming over to the Island from the Mainland to Hike and Camp etc. I am happy that things are showing signs of becoming normal again, but a bit anxious over it also. July 1st they will open up more and then we can officially be ok to travel outside of the province, however no International travel until stage 4. Our numbers continue to be very low, so lets hope it stays that way. Still waiting for the call or txt to say we can get our second shot, sure hope its very soon!!

@faerywings - sorry that your weather has be dreary too, it really sucks when you have plans to spend the day outside, but ya you don't have to water plants at least. Sounds like your Casino night will be lots of fun! So nice that your family still wants to do all of those fun things together! How great that you are having fun with your latest LO! Wish I could get the inspiration to do a page, but sadly my mojo for scrapping has left me. :(.

I think that by the end of summer I will hopefully be back to feeling myself again, I am in a rut and don't want to be with anyone or do much of anything else than gardening or learning my machine. I haven't even had a visit with my sisters for quiet a while. Please forgive me for not being very active here and if I don't catch up with all of you its not because I don't want to I just don't have much to say these days! I love you all and perhaps after spending time with my kids and grandkids I will begin to feel myself again. I think that if I could get out hiking again that would help me out a lot too. Our hiking group is still not ready to go out just yet, but they are hopeful that by September everyone will be fully vaccinated and they will feel more confident to be together again. Keeping my fingers crossed that will happen. I hope you all have a wonderful Tuesday!

What an afternoon I had yesterday ... decided to watch some of the movies I had on VHS tapes. Yeah, I know - old technology - but it was quite an undertaking. Number one - have them stored in 2 different place - some in a closed door cabinet designed for tape storage - and the rest stored resting on open shelves in the MB TV cabinet. As you can imagine - there was a lot of dust on tapes - especially the ones in the MB. Spent over and hour dusting each one and getting them in numerical order. Found a folder with the listing of tapes... but it only when up to 88 and I have over 190 of them! Don't know if it is worth finishing the inventory on the VHS tapes or not. But cleaning them and sorting them was worth the effort as I found the 2 movies I wanted to watch. "Kiss Me Goodbye" with Sally Fields, Jeff Bridges and James Cann - a romantic comedy about a dead husband haunting is widow and her new fiancé. "Always" with Richard Dryfyss and Holly Hunter about a dead pilot who comes back to see his girl friend and finally let her get on with her life. I was really bummed - the VHS tape I have with "Somewhere in Time" broke. I have seen DVDs with it so guess I will break down and buy it - one of these days.

Have to take some books back to the public library, drop off some mail, go to Senior Citizen Center to take back books and a couple of other quick stops. So better get off the computer and get busy. CYL

Good morning Sweet Ooozies,

Yes, I'm actually up and sort of "at 'em" before noon! I feel a little better today, but I think it's going to take some time, as you said, Chris @faerywings - somebody told me about a month. Ugh. Kay, @BrightEyes you're making me nostalgic talking about VHS tapes. We had SO many of them and I don't know what happened to most of them. I'll find them someday, in a box. We had one of those huge Pro Cams that DH used to lug around every where we went. I don't even have any way to look at them, if I could. I found one yesterday while I was looking for something else.

I made a layout for Veronica Spriggs yesterday. I saw the post by Ona of the designers who needed layouts. I made a vintage layout for her - I'll probably make another one today for a different designer. Thankfully, I feel like sitting her at my laptop creating.

Trudy @taxed4ever I feel you - I haven't been very active here either. Hey, we do what we can do, right? We'll both make it back. My rut is different than your rut, but a rut is a rut. :rolleyes:

I'll talk to you all later. Hugs all around.

Good evening - watching hockey and it is making me mad. The refs called a penalty on one player that was maybe iffy but it knocked the goalie out of the game, then the refs do not call a too many men on the ice penalty and the commentators say well I guess it is all a wash. No its not. You have have to call that penalty as a goal was scored. What a joke. And I get mad and it is not even my team playing. Today was good as Luther and I got out for a walk but just long enough for him to go to the bathroom. Coming back I thought today was a perfect day to ride my bike and it was! Only a little over 2 miles but gosh it felt good to ride again. Having more fun with scrapping. I found this app Prisma which takes a photo and adds a filter. It is fun so played with that a bit.

@faerywings Chris so glad I am not the only one who does always do what is on the list. We did not get rain yesterday after early morning. The sun actually came out. Today was beautiful! Hope you got out. Your Casino night sounds fun! If you page was the one with the insects in flowers it is awesome!

@taxed4ever Trudy hope you feel better. It is hard to get used to not wearing masks but in NJ, NY and CT all have reached 70% of adults have been vaccinated so we are all free from masks except for schools, mass transit and where a business requires it. I am sure you will get used to it again. I bet seeing your family is just what you need.

@Cherylndesigns Cheryl so glad you are feeling better.

@tanteva Eva I did see that Sweden/Spain ended nil/nil. And yes I agree it is not my first choice of sports but what I love is that you can watch and scrap and then watch the replays for the excitement you miss. Today I watched the Portugal/Hungary game to Rinaldo. I like him.

Kay I wish I had a VHS machine. I have some tapes of the kids that I would like put in the cloud of vacations and just them little. I guess I should look online and see if I can find something. Have fun watching.

Have a great day all!
