hello, o-zies!
The sun is shining but it is cold-- 47*! That is crazy for almost-mid-June. I cannot seem to get warm! it could be worse so I am happy for sunny and cool. It should get to 70* this afternoon so that will be nice, but darn it, where is my summer weather?

My eye appt was actually fine and somewhat fun. The new dr that I saw was adorable. I mean she was funny and excited. She was passionate about eyes which had me laughing. And my eyes-- retina thinning and scar tissue were the same. So was my Rx so I don't have to go back until next year. :whoo:

When I got home, I had to do damage control for my lilies. The lily beetles are back. Two years ago I had such a bad infestation I had to cut them down. Last year they were ok, not the best blooms but they were alive. This year, they are getting ready to bloom and they look like they are going to be gorgeous. But when I looked at them yesterday I saw some of the leaves were being chewed and saw the darn beetles and the larvae on them. You have to pick off the larvae - actually, I guess it was the pupal stage- by hand and to say that they are *disgusting* is an understatement.
Caitlyn got home from babysitting early- within minutes of Scott- and they went out on the rowboat together before the sun went down. I can't wait to hear about it.

I am going food shopping this morning (wheee!) and then after lunch, I have a couple of errands to run in town. I have to get more food for Floyd and then run to the library to get something good to read. Any suggestions?

Gary sent me a picture of Jaida smiling, she has the best smile. I want to scrap it, so maybe I can do that too? Not feeling it at the moment, but who knows what will happen right? :D

xoxo!!!!

My goodness, I do not understand what is wrong with my Return key formatting. I just went and edited out all of the spaces between the paragraphs. You would have been scrolling and scrolling and scrolling...

Trudy- Not your weather too. Sounds exactly the same. I like it-- JUNEUARY! What a nice visit you had with your family. That stinks that you didn't get to see the genealogy book but that is now an excuse to go and visit your sister. That is good, right? :) Did you have any luck shopping? I stopped in at Marshall's on my way home and found a cute pair of cheap black sandals since I don't have any nice summer shoes either. was the page you scrapped the one I saw on FB of Hunter? He is getting so big!

I did get my eyes dilated but it wasn't too bad this time around. Last year I was scared driving home, I was having such a hard time seeing/headache.

Rae- So great to hear that you and B had some nice times visiting and watching movies. Woo hoo on good shopping karma!!! Nice to hear that you are still losing inches- but be careful that you don't lose weight because you are stressed or skipping meals. OK, I will stop worrying now.
yes! I know what you mean about scrapping needing too much mind power. I need something totally passive at the end of the day.

Is HTGAWM still on TV or is it just the 4 seasons that are on Netflix? You know that it can't end well. It is intense!

Felis- Good for you!!! I am proud of you for being spontaneous and scrapping!!!
I feel like we watched some of The Fall but can't remember. We are also watching the 2nd season of Marcella- British crime drama too. And we adored Broadchurch if you are looking for some other new ones.

Better get my day started since it is much easier shopping when not too many people are there.

Love to all!

Morning ladies... cool and overcast here today, when will it be summer?? I am sure that when the heat finally arrives I will be complaining about that too :becky: Never happy LOL. Yesterday was good as I got a few things accomplished that needed to be done. I got out in the garden for a bit, my roses are beautiful this year! Sad that the peonies are already finished though. I did not get to the Nursery, nor did I get the front window cleaned, I am so good at procrastinating!! I did clean the floors and made a nice supper for DH and myself. Dusted and organized my closet. So nothing exciting, but I feel like I actually did somethng! I am hoping to get another page done for the challenges today and I need to get back to the pool and get in some laps this morning also. I ordered some shoes from Amazon that I really liked, so hopefully they fit, if not then I can return them for free.

Chris - Yup we are having cooler temps than normal, it did warm up in the afternoon yesterday and DH and I sat out on the upper front deck in the sun and soaked up the rays with a glass of wine, it was nice to feel the warmth on the body! I ended up getting shoes on Amazon, I have already checked the shoes stores here and did not find anything that I like :mmph: I need something with a heel as the dress is a bit more fancy and I will hopefully get to wear it when we go out for dinner in Paris. I better wear it after all of this LOL! Yes it is a good thing that I will get to Vancouver one day to visit my sister and see her book. I seem to be the only one interested in all of the work that she has done on it. Besides it will give me a good excuse to get together with Rae also! Glad to hear that your eye appt. went well and that you don't have to change your prescription! Your new eye dr. sounds sweet! How nice that Scott and Caitlyn are enjoying the little rowboat so much! How wonderful that they get along so very well! Ugh on the lily beetles! Sounds gross, I should check mine, but I don't think that I have ever had any beetle infestation?? :noidea: Enjoy your day and I hope to see that page of Jaida smiling! Oh and yes that page I did was the one you saw on facebook. Love that little guys smile! As for a book suggestion... Jackie gave me a novel to start reading, she really enjoyed it, It's called the Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini. I haven't started it yet, but might hang on to it until we fly to Paris and read it on the plane.

Rae - Nice that you have had such great visits with B! We continue to have you in our thoughts and prayers each day! Yes I will of course look you up when I get over to the Mainland to see my sister, I look forward to it for sure! We have so much to talk about! Your meals sound so good and I really need to start including some new foods into my diet, still stalled on the weight loss, but continue to lose the inches, body shape is changing all the time, so is my wardrobe, much to my bank accounts dismay LOL. I will have to check out your Pinterest posts to get some of your great recieps! Rae shame on you for not going to the eye dr. for 20 YEARS!! Really woman, get to the optometrist for heaven sake! LOL I know that you have other things that are keeping you from going right now, but sheesh!! I hope that one day soon you will feel the need to scrap a page or two. Hopefully soon you will have some much better news about B! Tell Jen that she is a wonderful Mom and I know how very hard this must be for her! It breaks my heart to think that anyone else is going through what I went through so many years ago! Be strong and take care of you!! So nice to hear that your shopping Karma continues on!

Felis - Thank you for the nice comment on my page! I saw you did a page the other day and I really need to get to the gallery and leave some lovin! Putting off work and doing some scrapping on a very warm day sounds like a good plan to me LOL! Sometimes the work can wait! I watched a few seasons of HTGAWM also, but it got to be a bit too predictable and we gave up on it. Yes the Fall was such a good series, we loved that one! We also loved Happy Valley and Broadchurch! Lots of great British series out there!

:hello: Jean!

Ok I best get my second cup of coffee before Heather and Hunter facetime this morning, then off to the pool. Have a great day everyone!

I meant to post yesterday when I was here relatively early, but somehow it didn't happen. Unlike some of you I am enjoying the cool weather and blankets at night. Now I'm dreading the forecast of days to come with highs of 90 F. Last night I made a pork roast and corn on the cob. It was so good. We watched a strange movie, Miles Ahead, about Miles Davis. None of the TV shows mentioned sound familiar, so probably not on "regular" TV. Has anyone been watching this season of Who Do You Think You Are? I saw one episode online but miss seeing the genealogy behind the show.

Rae, love hearing of good visits with B. Your continued shopping karma is so impressive as is the continued drop in size. I'm with Trudy that you HAVE to find time to see an eye Dr.

Felis, scrapping instead of doing work on a hot day does sound nice. Especially when so inspired. I have put together pages for weeks 21-23 but only finished the writing for 23.

Chris, wonderful news from a nice new eye doc! Do hope you get to that photo of J. And how about the kids providing some pix of the rowboat? And I'm sure you'll be getting some warmer days soon. Hope you got to the beetle problem with the lilies!

Trudy, funny that you can find shoes online but not in the store. No wonder we guy online, eh. Wow, another trip to look forward to to visit sis, the book, and Rae. Maybe not Paris, but will be nice.

Nancy, I'm sure you're all having a grand time with SIL's visit.

I'm with Jean this hotness somehow tired me, even when I'm not doing much. But I really like these Summer nights, the smell and sounds of the ground who finally can resting in the hug of the night. Today was my turn to mow and somehow this time spend in white noise, alone with my thoughts makes me very nostalgic. I was sitting on the stairs, where my kiddos was sleeping, thoughtful and languishing. Thinking about this one perfect moment, for the future and with big intensity for the past. Maybe this Spring I skip a chance which I wanted, which I waited for so long. But I was too scared that any change, even the little bit, can destroy this perfect picture which I have now. It's worth it, totally worth it, but at the same time it's somehow incomplete. Sorry , I can explain this directly, it's better to stay wrapped at the metaphors of sounds and colors in one warm night. What I wanted to say is that today I was in some kind of irritating dreamy mood.

Jean, I have not seen this show. So it's a show based on the genealogy of the celebrities?! Sounds cool. Ughh, no I'm so stuck in my weekly project, so for now I decided to concentrate on the monthly challenges pages or I'll have to make them at the last day as previous month.

Trudy, you must take a pic with this fancy dress at Paris! Please, I want to see it! I hope shoes to fits you and to not have return them! Sounds like you had very successful day with wath of things done. Did you go to the pool? I saw your comments too, and thank you!

Chris, I needs new eye doctor too. Mine become very rude after her divorce, so I skipped few checks just to not see her ;) . I want enthusiast like yours! Hooray for the good results! Hope shopping to gone well, but based on past few times I don't believe it much. Did Floyd finally start to eat specialized food? Poor baby he is often in my mind. Sorry, I don't have good suggestions about book right now. I have this lovely bunch of books that just stays in my desk, but I'm not finished any of them yet, so I can tell yeth which worth it. Thank you for the series suggestion from you and ! I'm still not watched Marcella and Happy Valley, so will have to check do there are been released here. Ok, maybe I'm wrong, but I have this feeling that Scott planning propose at the rowboat, how romantic will be. Wait and see!

I know Nancy have fun, but I miss her here.

And Rae  .
