Good morning and a very happy Tuesday to you all. I woke up to some heavy rain and wind but it looks like that is passing by now. Actually, I woke up to practically hanging off the side of the bed. When I asked Gary to scootch over, he tried but there were two dogs blocking him.:dizzy:

I was pretty busy inside yesterday. I got a bit of cleaning done in the LR/kitchen and decorated for the summer. I take the seashells that I have collected over the years and put them into jars and bowls along with my summer scented candles. I only wish that it felt like summer. It was so cold in my house again. I am still wearing fuzzy socks and long sleeves.

But the good news is that my mom is planning on calling the hotel to make the reservations for our trip down the shore soon. She spoke with the Dr about her knees and along with the arthritis, she has baker's cysts behind them. Dr said it isn't serious so my mom feels better about making plans. My mom also admitted that the Dr wasn't happy with her kidney function but says it is most likely due to the fact that my mom doesn't drink water. (Faery feels very vindicated. I am*alwaysalwaysalways* telling her to drink more water!)

What else did I do? I baked some cookies, yum. Finished the LO I was making for the Template Challenge. Tried desperately to come up with dinner ideas for the week. Worked on the Bermuda puzzle and got about 10 more pieces put together. Cait and I had been doing so great with puzzles- we could finish a 1000 piece puzzle in a few days. This one has been weeks already and we are maybe 10% done.

I am off to food shop this morning and then work a bit more on cleaning the house this afternoon. How exciting. ;)

HAGD!!!

Kay- do you ever stop? You are always so busy! It really feels good when you are being creative. I love that feeling. Oh yeah, my house is surrounded by woods. It has been a long time since we had regular bear sightings, but we used to get a lot of mama bears and cubs coming through. I have pics of the cubs playing with a kickball in the yard, ones with the mama getting 5 little ones up a tree (the one behind my azalea). Gary got some video of a cub splashing in our little garden pond. That was so adorable. I miss them. Our old governor reinstated and expanded bear hunting and since then, I rarely see them.
Gary is like that-he burns no matter what. I have that good Italian skin and I rarely burn. I think this one is due to the retinol body lotion I have been using. I should switch for the summer.
Have fun at your lunch today! Don't overdo it for your back.

Trudy- I hope that there aren't any fires by you. I was reading a blog post this morning about how Seattle's weather has changed so much over the last years with the breezy clean air being traded for hotter and smoky air. Are the Bruins playing tonight? *fingers crossed for that big win!*
Did you actually rest yesterday?
It is true that some people attract ticks more than others. There are a few theories, one being that if you already had Lyme, they can sense the antibodies in the blood. I have no idea if that one is true but it seems like my family ends up with ticks on them all of the time. PSA: Don't forget that all ticks can carry Lyme, but the deer ticks are really tiny and hard to see.

Jean- I read about that earthquake and wondered if you felt it. Yikes! That has to be such a strange feeling with the house shaking like that.
I can't wait to see some pic of the altered book. *hint hint* :D
That is the bird we saw! It makes sense-- a barn swallow by the barn LOL They are fast little buggers. I am going to look to see if we have ravens in the area, Nancy do you know offhand if they would be up by me?

I see that Game 7 is tomorrow night, I will cross my fingers until then.

Morning ladies... it is a lovely sunny morning and the temps are supposed to be quite warm. Not much happening here for me, perhaps I will hit the pool and of course look forward to a facetime chat with Heather and Hunter. Yesterday he was so cute and we sang Teddy Bears Picnic about 5 times LOL. He dances around as we sing, such a cutie pie!! So funny that when he is done, he just hits the button and ends the call LOL. Heather always txts me to apologize, but hey he is 2, not much of an attention span :becky: No smokey skies this morning, so that is nice, I have not heard of any fires in the area, so not sure where the smoke was coming from yesterday? Oh I got the neighbors painting done and I really love it!! Hopefully she does too, if not then I will sell it on my Etsy shop or in the gallery. She also wants a coat of resin on it, so I will have to wait for it to dry and cure for a few days before I can do that. I will post pics when it is done. I started working on a page yesterday too, so I will try to complete that sometime today! Wish I had more mojo for scrapping and I know that soon with the house full of kids there won't be any time to be creative all summer, so I would really like to get more scrapping done!

Chris - I found this for you yesterday, for your Monday Inspiration...

I hope that you are enjoying a lovely Tuesday morning and that the rain is gone and the sun is shining on you! Too funny about the bed being so crowded, you might have to invest in a larger bed LOL. No I did not actually rest yesterday, I did do a lot sitting as I am also working on a painting that I poured a while back that looks like a huge splashing wave and now I am painting a sea turtle coming out of it, its pretty cool and I sure hope I can get the turtle to look realistic! Lots of detail in the turtle and amazing colours! Hope you can get more pieces of the puzzle done today, you will have to post a photo of it, it sounds really hard!!

Jean - Yikes the earthquake must have been a bit scary!! We have lots of little tremors all the time, but not usually enough to really shake the house. Everyone says it's just a matter of time for us to get the big one!! But they have been saying that since before I was born LOL. Not much we can do about it, is there! I look forward to seeing your altered book!! Hope you figure out what to do for the spine for it! Good luck with the teeth cleaning, hope you don't have too sore of a mouth afterward!

Alright I best get the bed made and get my swim bag packed. Hope you all have a wonderful Tuesday!!

I have to leave soon for the dentist as the main access to a freeway is now closed for two years! We do seem to have a very nice weather day on tap.

Chris, that puzzle must be a doozy! Hope you find some areas of it soon. I know it's annoying to have one drag on. We've got a new one in the works now. Glad to hear your mother is getting good advice - maybe she'll listen about drinking water?

Trudy, I think your turtle painting is going to be fantastic. What a wonderful idea. I'm sure the neighbor will be thrilled with that one too. Hunter must be quite the cutie but definitely abrupt. How funny. Hope you stay smoke free.

Hope it's a good one for all.

good morning - I am happy today as yesterday I finally made it back to my wellness swimming. It felt so good to be back in the pool doing exercises. I can feel that I worked out but not overly sore. I am watching the Women's World Cup. It is something to have on in the background. Yesterday the Canadian women won their first match and today the USA plays its first match.

Chris beautiful photo of your backyard and little gargoyle. Looks like today should clear out and will be a nice day with a nice breeze. How fun to know that your mom is making the reservations! It will be so fun!

Kay ditto to what Chris said. You are the busiest bee. That must be so exciting to work with a designer on a new action.

Trudy we have been getting some nice sunsets and they say it is due to the smoke from Canada. We don't smell it but you can see it on the weather scans. Your FaceTime with Hunter sounds so fun! I love that when he is done he just ends it. Congrats on the painting. Cant wait to see it and the turtle coming out of the wave - cant wait to see it too. You like Kay are busy bees.

Jean I did not hear about the earthquake but at least no damage. When we first moved into our house years ago there was an earthquake in NJ and I felt it. It is the weirdest feeling to me. My DH did not feel anything as he was sleeping but I knew. Sure enough it was on the news. Have a good teeth cleaning!

I am late posting this - my DH decided to stay home from work and that always makes my life crazy.

Have a great day!

It is late in the afternoon... been a fun but busy day. Had most everything ready for the lunch today when I looked out the front door and saw water spouting across the sidewalk onto the front yard. The drip system had come on but there was a huge leak.... I ran out to try to move the tubing but ended up spraying the front of me... top, skirt and including my bra and part of my hair got wet! Then realized I just needed to turn off the drip system and figure out what was going on.... after I dried my clothes in the dryer. Turns out that one of the drip tubes going to my day lily had been cut in half. Think it must have happened when the yard work was done. I thought the plants in front looked like they needed more water so I had adjusted the timing on the system to every day this week. And I happen to have the door opened so I saw the gusher! Waiting for a call back from the guy who did the job for me. Thank goodness I had enough time to get everything dried out before anyone arrived.

We had a fun and delicious lunch. As one of the gals commented 'you would think that we had planned the menu'... {which we didn't - it was a bring whatever dish you want}... we had Sloppy Joes, baked beans, potato salad, fresh fruit and chocolate cake! :D The last of the gals didn't leave until almost 4 PM... great visiting and relaxing. Got everything cleared away - dishes in the dishwasher and all the furniture, etc back where it belongs. No cooking for me tonight as the gals left me some of their food. Yea!!

Feel like I am ready for a nap but it is too late in the afternoon for that. The back held up fairly well but am happy to be off my feet. For some reason a couple of the last gals to leave and I ended up standing on our feet in the kitchen visiting for the last hour.

Hi girls,
I wake up too late yesterday and couldn't organise my day after that. So much housework with so less energy.I wasn't able to scrap. But honestly I wasn't in mood. These days music is the only think that can excite me a little bit. Yesterday (Tuesday) was able to hear short interview and the new single, before today to be released on Spotify, was verrry fun, even I was spy it already from one of the concerts videos.

Chris, we have rain too, but between the few stop and starts was verry hot :( , I wish we could change! Oh, definitely would love to see the Sanctuary, sounds as a lovely place! And yes I can see Caitlyn to do exactly something as rescue farm. I don't know why she isn't more active in a social media, she is so beautiful and can be influencer and have channel about animal advocate as Nikki Reed. So happy to hear that with your mother you are start plans for vacation! I saw these pictures of your pretty garden too and Wolfgang also looks like much happier in summer, than it was at the snow :eyebrows: .
About the ticks are you saw TickLess Ultrasonic Pet and similar to it pendants, and what is your opinion? They offered it to us at the pet store, and said it works on dogs, cats and humans. But I'm still considering?! And if it is as the ultrasonic rodent repellent, it's proven do not work! So, I don't know what to think.

Kay, your party sounds really fun! Oh, and bravo for been able even to clean up and put back in order after that! Bad for the fountain and the drip tubes damage, hope they'll fix it fast!

Nancy, wellness swimming sounds a good exercise, especially in summer! I wasn't familiar with Kelsea Ballerini, but google it and she have lovely songs!

Jean, hope that you'll be able to enjoy the good weather, once after the unpleasant task is done! WoW how worrying about the earthquake! Can't wait to see the altered book! Your layout about the swallows is so interesting and fun, love it!

Trudy, this painting sounds awesome! I'm sure she will love it! LOL little Hunter is man whit character, will go before to lose your interest, so to make you wants more, hahaha, he is little cutie!
