Sweeeet blessed rain! It rained all day yesterday, so much that there were a lot of areas with flooding. My plants already look happier other than the basil that I put under the overhang to stay out of the sun. Forgot to move it back when the rain started.
The trip to the LLMD was good. Good for me, not good for Gary but that part was expected. All my blood work came back either negative/inconclusive/showed past infections. That means she basses the diagnosis clinically and since my only symptom is my hands hurting, she doesn't think that it is bartonella. Whew!! I didn't think it was active again but not to have it confirmed. She would have put me on Plaquenil for the inflammation but I had an allergic reaction to that so there is nothing I can do for it for now.
Fine by me!!

Right now, it is not too hot, and we have a coolish breeze. I bet in another hour or so Gary is going to need the AC on. We have heat advisories for the next few days- Heat Indexes over 100* My cousin and BFF invited me to hang out at their pools! Going to my cousins tomorrow, next week to BFF :)

Do you have a favorite way to stay cool?

@Cherylndesigns OMG, (((((((((((((((((((((HUGS)))))))))))))))))))))))
As I scrolled up to the top of yesterday's thread, I saw the car photo! OMG, you must be so shaken up. Steph as well. What a bleeepity bleeep bleep bleeeep of the other driver. 60 mph in a parking lot??? And then tried to blame her??#angry2:mad:
Please tell her that I am thinking of her, I hope she isn't in too much pain today. Make her go to the Dr if she is, get checked out, Just in case something pops up later, they can immediately and definitively tie it to him.
My kids were in a car accident on Christmas Eve 2019 (cait's BF hit black ice, spun out, and hit the guardrail), and seeing the pics of the car, the airbags, broken glasses/bloody nose freaked the s** out of me too for a couple of days.
I am so relieved that she is OK and that Asher wasn't with her. some more hugs to all of you~~
You are doing really great on the treadmill!!

@LSlycord I can't imagine the rin of emotions you must be going through - excited/terrified/sad/proud. Syd is going to do great! I hope that she does some intramurals, keep her out of trouble that way;)

@BrightEyes ahhhhh! Not a Win update??? Can you do a System Restore Point on your own in case it updates itself automatically and that part of the update doesn't work? Not that Win Updates would *ever* do that. /s
Hope you can stay indoors and be cool

@bcgal00 How did the visit to the travel agent go? I hope that you get exactly what you need and want booked. I think it is a lovely trip and gift for Jen :)

@tanteva what a difference in your pantry! How long willthe organization last? when I do that for my fridge, it stays organized for about 4-5 days heh

@taxed4ever Did the sun ever come out? I am sure that if it heard you cheering for it, it would have! Your Gary does more in a weekend than mine does all year LOL
You must be getting so excited, are you packing up yet? I did get one photo scrapped. I have a bunch of really funny ones, I am thinking that the pocket pages might be a good way to go. I know that Cheryl will cheer me on for that.
Poor Heather and Hunter- I guess Hunter does better when he has a routine with school? Most kids that age do.

Better get going it is after 8 am which is *supposed* to be my cut-off.

xoxo

Good afternoon...just barely. I'm taking an early lunch because I have a meeting scheduled over my lunch hour.

@taxed4ever I think that we were posting at the same time yesterday. I do think that if I retire at the right time, I will really like it.

@Cherylndesigns that wreck was awful! I'm so glad that she didn't have Asher with her. And what an absolute jerk the guy was who hit her. Life is so fragile.

@faerywings so glad to hear that the appointment went well...always a relief to hear that I'm sure.

@bcgal00 I'm anxiously waiting to hear if you are packing for a cruise or a trip down the coast. Either way, sounds wonderful. I love vacations of any sort.

Good Morning everyone! The has returned and it looks like it will stick around for awhile Hooray!! Next week looks like it is going to get pretty warm, thats ok we have waited a long time for summer this year! I might actually get to go for a swim in the lake one of these days LOL. Yesterday was a blur, did not do much except for getting out for a nice walk. Hope to do that again this morning and then I should run to the store to grab a few things I forgot to get on the weekend. It has been busy on our street with so many of the neighbours doing renovations there are lots of trucks parked up and down the street. Not much else happening around here. Just patiently waiting for the end of the month so we can see everyone again. (I miss that smiley with the tapping foot and watching the clock!).

@Cherylndesigns - OMG how frightening for your daughter!! Why would someone be travelling so fast near a parking lot?? Glad that she is ok although yes of course she is shaken up!! I have been in a couple of bad car accidents and have been lucky enough to not be hurt, but still it sticks with you for a long time! Yes she can get her car replaced, but not her life!! Poor thing, please give her some gentle hugs from me and some for you as well! Such a worry for you!! I hope that things are much more quiet for you and your family! Good on you for using the treadmill!! No fun to walk when its so stinking hot outside!

@faerywings - I hope that you are enjoying your rainy day today, I sent all that moisture to you LOL. So glad to hear that you are still lyme free! Sorry to hear that your poor Gary is still not getting good test results though :( . I will keep my eyes peeled for your next layout with the photos from the party! I need to get a layout done soon too, keep putting it off as I just don't know what photos to use. Hopefully a trip through the gallery will get me inspired! BTW Hunter is in a much better mood today and they are all heading out to Stratford today, Heather is having a clogged pore on her back looked after, she has had this darn thing for years and hopefully today they will get it removed! I think they are going to go for an ice cream treat afterward, so that will be nice!

@LSlycord - Hope that your zoom meeting goes well, to bad its during your regular lunch break time. I am sure you will love retirement, however the empty nest syndrome is a tough time to get through, so its good to keep yourself busy as you adjust to that!

Ok off to the shower and need to get on with my day. Hopefully I will actually get something accomplished today. #dk.
Have a great day everyone!

@tanteva I wouldn't dare mess with the order you finally have!! I love having an organized pantry!!

@Cherylndesigns YIKES!!! I saw the photo of the car accident and my heart nearly stopped! Glad she wasn't hurt any worse! That guy is crazy driving that fast in the parking lot!

@faerywings Hope you can take a bit of time to rest and recover now that most of the parties are done... ooops... forgot about the engagement party! Try to stay cool... glad you got some rain. Good news for you from the doc... sorry Gary's wasn't as good.

@LSlycord Sounds like you are on the way to getting ready for her dorm. Just a few weeks now!

@bcgal00 Hope you have success on getting the tickets for the Alaskan cruise for this fall.

Yes, it is another quick in and out today... but I did get a few personals done. ;)
Been busy as a bee. In the midst of copying a bunch of kits from one of my designers. I would be devastated if I lost her kits. I have about 80 kits plus other cu stuff from her... and haven't saved them anywhere except on the computer!!! Been working on them since 6 AM and not even finished with a third of them. It takes between 15-20 minutes to copy each disk... so have time to do other things. Already got my shower, did a load of laundry, and got my DVD inventory caught up to date and printed out... all before 10 AM! To help pass the time, I am listening to some of my favorite music. Spent a lot of time listening and dancing with my DH in my mind to our favorites. Yes, we loved to dance together and the music brings those memories back. That helps make the time pass. Need to close out the internet as it slows the copying process.

Good morning ladies. Heading out for errands in a bit and then hope to get some scrapping done this afternoon. We went to the travel agent yesterday morning. The same cruise we did 7 years ago was available on the same cruiseline but different ship and then another one so I chose the other one, with Celebrity line and has a different itinerary than what we did before. We booked it and we go on Sun Aug 14. We have a private kennel booked for the dogs, a home based business that has a few acres of land and lots of room for the dogs to be outdoors. They will get to dig to their hearts content.

We got exactly what we wanted, I don't know how that happened LOL. There were two rooms available so we chose one and then the agent found an upgrade that was even better so we were able to get an extended veranda with a few extra special features. We got concierge packages for us all so we get 15 drinks/day and other perks. This is going to be so much fun. D said a helicopter tour is his first choice and Jen and I want to do tours for bears/whales, etc. We'll get to do at least 3 excursions, maybe more. So glad we don't have to wait til next year. D said that since we are doing this now we can do panana canal next year and that will probably be our last big trip.

Whew...what a whirlwind the last few days have been.

@faerywings Glad your health is good but poor G, I hate to hear of his struggles. Enjoy the offer of pool time to get away from the heat. Our weather is consistently in the 30s now which I don't mind except that it makes it hard to get outdoors with the dogs much b/c its too hot for them.

@Cherylndesigns Your poor DD, how traumatizing and I can understand how upset she is about her new car being totaled. I am so glad to hear she is ok though and hope the emotional PTSD lessens quickly. My Jen went thru the same thing when her car was totaled by a guy going thru a red light and demolished her car. It was many months before she felt comfortable driving but she is fine now.

I'm going to get going, I want to go run errands soon while it is slightly cooler (not much LOL).

Just had my heart get a work-out!!! Was copying a file with the DVD writer/reader when it hung up on me... and not only refused to continue but would not let me cancel or shut it down. Managed to finally to bring up the Power button and select it. Although the screen went dark, the power light on the tower stayed on for 5 minutes!!! Finally removed the power plug, waited a couple of minutes then plugged it back in.... got the 'spinning circle of death' for a couple of minutes... then it went into 'upgrading your computer' mode. Took forever for that to upgrade... and finally got my sign-up screen. Everything is running SLOW... so am really worried that it won't last until I get the new ExHD hooked up and things transferred. The Tech will be here on Friday so think I had better leave well enough alone and not do any more copying/deleting. And NO scrapping.

I can't work on DH's computer as I don't have my scrapping software or kits over there. <<<< SIGH >>>>

Hello lovelies,

I'm not in a very good "head space" today. I'm really struggling - talked to Steph for about an hour and she's really sore today - she probably has whip lash. I told her not to settle with any insurance claims until she gets that checked out. Chris @faerywings I completely concur with you about seeing a doctor, but she hasn't so far. They're just starting all the red tape now and her ex and his wife both work for car dealerships so they're working on getting her a car. Trudy @taxed4ever I hear you about the PTSD - I've been in 3 accidents, and you really do lose your nerve to drive for a long time. You NEVER forget the sound, either and it's like an out of body experience.

Thanks Linda @LSlycord , Kay @BrightEyes and Rae @bcgal00 also for the love and hugs you sent to us. Can you all believe that guy was such a jerk after driving 60 in a mall parking lot and not even slowing down, let alone coming to a full stop??? He was from up north - I'm telling you, (Linda you already know this) - the traffic in Florida is horrible!! Especially during Season - but Steph says it's horrible ALL the time now with so many moving there! That shopping mall she works in is like "roller derby" ALL the time!

Chris @faerywings glad you got a "good" report yesterday and wish you could say the same for Gary. That accident Cait was in sounds really frightening - they could have easily gone through that guard rail! Black ice is the worst!

Ray @bcgal00 how awesome that you've booked a cruise!! Sounds wonderful!

Kay @BrightEyes I can hear your frustration all the way over here!!! If the tech is coming this week, you might ask him about stopping those "automatic upgrades". I've done more research and you can't STOP them (well, a tech might be able to) but I figured out how to "postpone them". You can postphone them for 35 days then you have to go in the day before the 35th day and re-schedule it for the NEXT 35 days. If you want the info, let me know - I just re-scheduled mine yesterday. it works!!!

Eve @tanteva your pantry re-do looks amazing!

I'm gonna go - I'm trying to organize my office and it keeps my mind off "things" so I think I'm going to resume that for awhile.

XOXO
