Good afternoon. I am taking a break from packing...for my trip and a few things I wanted to get packed before I left in the house. We went to the liquor store today and got a bunch of boxes. We'll get more tomorrow. they just put in a gorgeous liquor store down the road and they always have a ton of boxes. I have to back to the liquor store tomorrow to get my future BIL some Johnny Walker...the good stuff the green or better. We'll see what i feel like doing tomorrow and what will fit in my bag. Alcohol is much cheaper in NC than in WA. WA adds on so much sin tax it is ridiculous. Of all places, California is ridiculously cheaper even.
I cannot wait to get to WA!! So many reasons. I miss my family horribly and can't wait to see them. The weather is also amazing. I looked at the 10-day forcast (not that it is accurate) and the weather is in the 70's & 80's for the next week and a half. That is perfect weather for me. This 90-100 humid crap sucks. Plus I get to visit my home church and all my friends there and all of my other friends too. I have a 1st birthday party to go to...it is a Korean birthday so it is a huge event. They put certain items in front of them that mean different things. A pencil, a piece of string and money I think and they believe it determines their future. I was just invited to a baby shower I am really excited about and I don't even know what else. It will be great to be able to be there for those things. I am going to miss my hubby though. We drive each other nuts when we are apart.
In just a little bit we are off to dinner with our friend Dave, who I speak of often. Poor guy. His girlfriend has to move back to Canada because her visa is expiring and he is heart broken. She leaves on Thursday so I am very grateful they are letting us have a little of their time. I am hoping they have been getting out because I know how depressing it can be otherwise. Derek and I have been there done that with Army stuff too...not like a lot of our friends who have spent more time apart than together in their marriage, but we've still spend our time apart too.
Well, I'd better get. I just wanted to hop in and say hey. After today I will be in here inconsistently until September. I will be thinking of you often.
Chris - I hope you enjoyed your beach time and are getting a nice tan.
Linda - we were so lucky with Derek this year. The Army schedules "Taining Holidays" around the holidays to make them 4 day weekends and while most of Ft. Bragg had Friday off, the hospital had today off. So no early wake up, aside from an early call I got that woke me up. I hope it wasn't a crazy morning.
Laurie - drink an extra glass of wine for me. I love wine tastings. The last one I went to left me a bit of a mess...but it was awesome.
Trudy - I hope your "all about you" day off goes awesomely. I love days like that. I am thinking I need a couple of days like that. Maybe I can get that while I am with my family.
Okay...I am off. Got to get ready to go to dinner. Hugs to everyone.
