We have another HHH weather-day in New Jersey along with heat and air quality advisories. My BFF sent me a pic of her pool/backyard that had the landscaping done last week and wow, I wish I could be there instead.

Dr's appt was fine, no major pain in the ankle and I go back in 2 months. My mom is not doing so well and she looked so old and tired. That has me worried. She has an appt with her GP this morning since the orthopedist is still not calling back. The office manager checked their system and he hadn't even picked up the messages that she entered. My mom likes her GP and maybe she can help my mom get some resolution to all of this. Then she and my dad starting bickering and I was good. I told them if they continued to snipe, I was going home. They stopped. Whew!

Today I am off to PT, then I might run some errands down that way as long as I am there. My supermarket has stopped carrying so many of their generic brands and I need contact lens cleaner. The brand name stuff is soo expensive so I am thinking about going into Walmart to get some of their brand. I might also look for some paint chips. I got it into my head that I should paint the living room and hallway areas in the fall. It is going to be a huge project. It is a small area but the amount of furniture and crap in there is insane. The LR hasn't been painted is 20+ years and everything needs to be spackled first and then the ceilings need to be painted. My dad and I used to tag-team. He would do the ceilings while I did all of the cutting in and trim. Then we rolled the walls together. He can't do that anymore and I swore that I would never let Gary touch a can of paint again after he made such a mess when we painted the addition in 2003.:p
I was thinking ambitiously that I would do the ceilings flat white, trim all semi-gloss, and the walls white with grey undertone for a bit of contrast. I would love to do a bolder color contrast but since we have everything, LR, DR, kitchen, "open" it might be hard for me to get the colors to all work together. Then I think about all of the paint and taping off and I dunno, I get scared!!
I should take some pics and share them here so you all can give me advice.

Love and hugs!!!

Nancy- I am surprised that Luther wanted to leave your side, but I guess in this heat, he knows that he can snuggle with you when it is cooler. He must have missed you so much. I can't believe that you finished a LO already - it was gorgeous. Hope that your laundry and food shopping was done quickly so you could get back to the important things in life-- scrapping LOL

Felis- that always happens to me, I get the *best* ideas when I am in the shower or driving or falling asleep. Then when I have time, the ideas have been forgotten.
Cow of God is a really cute name for your firebugs. We call them lightning bugs or fireflies and I love seeing them too.
You are right about how to view history - with truth but unfortunately, it is a lot harder to see it that way than through a happy and patriotic lens.
Good to hear that you were able to repair a few of the magnets!

hugs to all of you! Hope you are all doing well.

good morning - After being in Alaska, this weather in NJ too hot too humid too hazy. I got my grocery shopping done but not the laundry. Got more pages done. Did not have to cook but tonight I have to think of something perhaps grilled cheese sandwiches. Not much else going on.

Chris it is too hot. Glad the doctor's visit turned out so well. Good for you to ask your parents to stop bickering. And so glad they did for you. Hope your errands go well. Good luck with the painting in the future. You have plenty of time to pick colors. I bet your kids will help you paint.

Felis that is so interesting that you thought the photo of the river was with the drone. I do not do drones though my DH is trying to learn to fly and take photos. Of course you get ideas just when you go back to work. Write them down and then when you have time you can scrap.

Waving to all!

Hello NJ!
One rainy day and the cool weather clearize my mind. I was able to finished one page, and made two for the next month, with one of which I'm very proud. I'll try to match them at the challenges or will post it without. I had even more ideas, but will have to wait.
Totally expected, I'm overwhelmed at the end of the month. Don't ask me how many cups of coffee I drunk.

Chris, ITA with Nancy, for me the answer is obvious: the kids should help you at your painting project. Hope you'll be able to do it fun family time! I absolutely know what you mean about the amount of furniture and cabinets, I think this is the Scott's part ;)! Definitely show us pics to share your progress, but don't take painting advices from me, See the pic below.

Oh, this is stupid, the generic brands is why we go to grocery at the capital. It's pits to not be able to find them anymore! Hope that Walmart will work for you! Which reminds me: are you familiar with the Heye Puzzle? My sister have few of them and she like the quality. It's a German brand with very cute series. I think you'll be able to like something for Cait's gift. So check it on Amazon.
LOL nope, fireflies is not the same that I mean. I like them too, but I'm not seen from ages, which is sad. The firebugs is one like a ladybug, but they walk around in groups, as herd of cows.

Nancy, I saw more from your gorgeous pages. WOW, it's amazing how fast you was able to make them. I'm not read the journal yet (and after that will comment), but the photos are awesome! Oh, I read about a photographer at my country that takes photos at this way, and drone was my association. I totally could expect something like that from you. LOL, bad lady, if you keep ignore the laundry it wouldn't disappear! Unfortunately!
