The Loopy-O
CHEERY O
Well, my day is not going as planned but it is what it is and will only get "better." haha! I woke up at 4 am again. And my back is still really not right. No full spasms yet but not getting much better which makes me a bit nervous when I move. I was supposed to go food shopping this morning but ended up placing an online order to be picked up tomorrow. I was shocked that they had an open spot but I guess now that they have more openings as well as more people going inside, it is easier to snag them.

I wiped myself out yesterday, I said at dinner that for someone who wasn't doing anything and *felt* like nothing was accomplished, I actually did a lot. I think because everything was chopped up and overlapped, it was more tiring than it should have been.
I finally finished copying over the Oscraps folders in ACDsee. The kits from everywhere else most tags somehow before all of these changes but I can just tag the previews since I rarely ever use non-O supplies at this point.
Instead of food shopping, I have some free-ish time this morning so I will keep working on that. Maybe catch up on some of the stuff I need to work on at the O, maybe some of the crochet class.

Since J is running aroun d with her food dish in her mouth, I think she wants b-fast. Off to feed them and back soon

hugs!

this summer has been one plague after another. pests, non-stop. Mice, then tiny ants, then bigger ants, and now it seems like pantry pests are the new in-thing. A few days ago, I found one of the larvae on the kitchen ceiling and another one today. ARGH. I know I say that I don't clean my house but I really do, and a lot. This makes me bonkers!! And gives me the heeby-jeebies.

@felis the yarns are going to be awesome for your projects. I honestly find untangling and unraveling yarn to be very soothing, same as doing extractions in photoshop - I know, I am odd. :D They look very soft and I love the colors!!

@tanteva Do you get paid more when you work on a Saturday? Generally speaking, as you don't know how much you are getting paid at all... hehe
I am sorry that the heat is so bad for you- enjoy the cooler temps and rain tomorrow

@bcgal00 It is never easy when you switch over all of your services, good to hear that it finally got straightened out. The new dog park is fantastic, how many dog parks are by you? Do you ever worry about how your dogs will get along with other dogs? That is my big fear with taking my two to the park. I know that they need more training and socializing, it just isn't in the budget so it is just easier to keep them home :(

@Cherylndesigns the party must have been a blessing keeping everyone busy and minds occupied.
Do the police think they will be able to find who stole the car? I feel so bad. When I was a kid, our house was robbed and it was such a feeling of "ickiness" - you do feel violated. The thieves left a peach pit on the kitchen table- they took it, ate it, and left the rest and I think that bothered my mom almost as much as the jewelry they took.
Oh--no worries about Tom and the tats/piercings- I know you are all cool with that :) Definitely do a LO of you and Ava's tats. I know I did one of me and Cait when we got ours done together.
Those Magic Eye books and posters made my eyes cross and my head hurt and I still never got the image to pop.
The Christmas party was at my BFFs house. My BFF and her family have been part of my mom's Christmas Eve party since eons ago, complete with the traditional seeing Santa on the firetruck and specific foods and photos. Since no one was able to be together last year and her family is going to be in Disney for Christmas this upcoming year, she wanted to celebrate with the families in between. Background: My BFF and I have been friends since we were 5, we consider ourselves sisters. She is an only child so our kids are cousins. My kids' cousins - Gary's brother's girls- are also "cousins" and even though they only see each other maybe a few times a year, they really get along so well.
The party had some traditional Christmas food- my mom made her quiche, I did the cookies, her DH made the "teeny weenies" - as well as having the decorations up and Christmas music. It was fun. <3

@nancyr that is good news about your DH's lungs being clear, hope that the cough eases up for him.
Eva is right, I read an article on Statnews.com about our immune systems and how we are going to get more colds/regular flu while they readjust.
I haven't watched any of the Olympics although I enjoy seeing some of the clips of Simone Biles when they get posted online.

felis how fun to see some posts by your celebrity crush! I am weird in that I also find collecting seeds very relaxing too. I think I am just plain "weird." But you must be too if you had such a nice time collecting them. :)
SO happy that you had a great day and here is to having many more!

Love to all of you!

@tanteva Do you get paid more when you work on a Saturday? Generally speaking, as you don't know how much you are getting paid at all... hehe
I don't know how much it is but there is extra pay for "inconvenient working hours" i.e. 10pm Friday (or evening before a holiday) til 6am Mondays (or day after a holiday). It's a percentage of the salary ... but you guessed it ... I don't know how much. LOL

I DID get paid today for the hours I worked in June. (Temps get paid the month after.)

Good Happy Tuesday!

Chris @faerywings I don't know whether they'll let Adrienne know or not. We all thought it was a bunch of punks, but it's looking more like they were car thieves. It was too "slick". They knew what they were looking for. The shutting down of the car was all that saved them from stripping it down or taking off, whatever they had an order for. We did find out that the car they have is one of the most stolen right now. Great parts on it. They had huge tires with special rims - the thieves love those. They apparently saw the front camera (in the car) flashing red and knew they were being recorded, so they ripped that out first thing. There's no record, unfortunately. They only made it a mile before Infinity disabled it and they must have figured out that the police were on the way so they abandoned it.

We had a home robbery once - we were all gone and they rigged the automatic garage door somehow and broke in. I can feel for your mom and the pit! You just know they've been through everything. Such a violation. They didn't get much from us - haha. Just a big jar of cash and a few things they could fence. The police said they were amateurs and just looking for things they could fence and cash. I used to work for a security company (best experience I EVER had!) and ever since I - I "think like a criminal". What would a criminal do? That was part of our training. So, I had hidden my jewelry in a really weird place and they didn't find it. Anyway, it's such a violation!

That party must have been a blast! I haven't seen any pictures on FB but then, I'm not on there much. I saw Gary's skeletons, but that's all and that was a long time ago. I think you sent me a link then.

I'll make a LO for Oscraps with our tats - Ava's all hot to get another one. A big elephant head. I told her her little arms aren't big enough - she'll have to get it on her thigh. She just laugh when I said that. She has a huge tat on her side and it goes down on one hip. It's mine and her mom's favorite flowers worked into a design she drew.

It's been touch and go, but my youngest daughter and 10 year old gs are arriving today into Arkansas! Ava and I are making the dash to go get them! There have been complications, but they've boarding the plane as I type. They'll be here for a little over a week!!! We ALMOST had to cancel the whole thing - it's been down to the wire. Trudy would have been so thrilled! We used to laugh about "trying" to FT with our grandsons. I always had to compete with the video gaming. I HOPE he doesn't have a way to play while he's here, but I'm not holding my breath. Alyssa was trying to get it set up last night. PS4??? I don't know much about that. Haha They're staying with Adrienne this time since they're moved in now. But it's only 600 feet from our house. She has a guest bedroom.

Nancy @nancyr good news about your husband's lungs being clear! Seems like everybody's hacking these days. My dd has been and they keep telling her nothing's wrong. She's had x-rays too, so we don't worry about it.

Well, Braden's here. He stopped in to get something to eat. He's been out moving and he's super hot. I made him lay down on the couch and rest for awhile. He needed some Cici pampering.

Have a good day - waving to all!

Well, I'm working 9.45 to 6 tomorrow, I'll be MIA all day. Also, it might be thunder tomorrow, so I guess no puter for me. See you Thursday.
