Yippeeeee!! The heat and humidity are so much lower this morning. Gary turned the AC off last night and it feels fantastic to have some fresh air. We got only a very short rain yesterday, nowhere near what we need to perk up the plants. But still, better than nothing.

I am still in the midst of a scrap-drought as well as a weather drought. I stare at photos and kits and have utterly no idea where to start, or what I want to scrap. It stinks.

Caitlyn said that she *thinks* the interview went well. It was hard for her to"read" since she is very body-language oriented. Not only does she talk with her hands and expressions (like her mama ), she reads them as well. The interview lasted about 40 minutes and they told her that callbacks for 2nd interviews would be around Aug 6. Her boss told her he is going to snoop around and see what info he can find out for her. LOL
Then Scott met with the person currently in the position he was offered at the ecology center last night. He has worked with her for a long time but wanted to get some more info on the position before he approaches his boss at the County Parks job. So many potentially good things happening.

My mom is coming up this morning, we are trying to book a last-minute trip downthe shore in September. The place we like to go to is all booked for the month. We have a limited type of room that my mom can stay in and we didn't want to book anything until she knew how she would be feeling post-surgery. There is a bed and breakfast a few blocks from the ocean and we are going to see if they have a room available that will work.

Is that a Netflix show about the person who reports a sexual assault and no one believes her? If it is, I can only imagine how hard it would be to watch.

@BrightEyes OMG! I hope that you rested all day yesterday and that you are 100% better today. All of that crawling around and stress over the computers really did your BP in. What a mess to have all of that happen. A hate that it is next to impossible to talk to a human when you need help- I feel like I end up screaming REPRESENTATIVE!!!! into the phone more often than not.
Yeah, Tom just laughed at Cait and me for messing up his dinner.

@taxed4ever Ahhhhhh, I can feel the relaxation coming from you while you are at that fabulous spa day! Your Gary sure treats you well. You must be beside yourselves with excitement to see your kids, 3 more sleeps! I am so happy for you!!!

@bcgal00 You really found the best place to live for your dogs. Health issues for humans, not so much -- but for dogs, 100%
So glad that you found the trail you had been looking for too.
Good luck choosing the excursions for the cruise, I would def. want to go whale watching. Not sure how I feel about the helicopter rides LOL
Haha!! I have done that too-- put something in the microwave and found it the next day! Yuck and whoops.

@Cherylndesigns I hear you and the sad plants Mine too. My hydrangeas haven't bloomed at all. My neighbors' did but not mine. The smaller one looked almost dead last week, it has perked up a bit so I am hopeful it will make it.
I hope that your herb babies make it.

@tanteva The power of Marten! Does that work for everything or just libraries? I hope he is eating and drinking on his own. Can you feed him canned kitten food? That is what I would try to get my cats to eat when they were sick since it has higher calories.
BTDT with Jaida-- Gary didn't know that I had already dosed her with Trazadone after her knee surgery and gave her a 2nd dose. Poor thing was looooopy! Hope that he comes back down and eats for you- although Stoned Buddha is a hysterical description

Good morning. Quick one while I sit in the dentist’s waiting room. I hate the dentist now. We need to be so careful because of the darned heart. Didn’t mind it before but now it creates a lot of anxiety. Nevertheless, it is a necessary evil.

Yes, @faerywings that show was about the girl that was sexually assaulted and no one believed her. It was very difficult to watch. Syd had seen it before but she sat with me and watched the whole thing.
the dentist is ready. I’ll be back soon.

Guess I am still not over whatever it is. Feel asleep at 8PM and had over 9 hours of sleep. But still feel tired. No temp and BP is still a bit low but in the normal range. Couldn't seem to concentrate on anything for long yesterday ... started a book and put it down... started watching a DVD and lose interest in it... etc. I even looked at some pants that needed to be shortened - then shook my head and left them in the craft room!!! I plan on trying to read/relax today. Not going to mess with the computers at all... just a quick in and out.

I had to go into the backyard early this morning (before it got hot) to pick up and discard the plums that had fallen on the ground. Then .... being very careful to make sure my footing was solid on the sloping hill ... picked some plums off the tree. Would gently touch them and many would drop into my hand. Also picked others that had started turning color. Ended up with over 7 lbs of plums. I will be sending a big bag of them up to DD#3. That didn't even make a dent in the number of plums on the tree. Saw several more limbs that have cracked/broken due to the weight of the plums. I will have my grandson come over in the fall after the leaves have fallen to cut those branches off.

Good morning lovelies,

I'm up early but still waking up. I work up about 8 and couldn't go back to sleep so I just got up. I finished up a lo that I started last night. I've had 3 PM's from FB already. Guess my day is starting whether I'm ready or not.

Chris @faerywings the poor hydrangeas - I think I feel the worst for them. Mine were so huge and gorgeous before this drought/heatwave started. I'm sure the root systems are ok and they'll come back up next spring. It just makes me sick. My green beans look pathetic - they were so pretty and growing so fast, my sunflowers don't look like they're going to make it either. The tomato plants probably won't do much - oh well, whatcha gonna do.

Kay @BrightEyes take it easy today - rest and recover and hydrate. Wish I could have some of your plums - I do love them!

Quick in and out - I'm going to Adrienne's about noon today - they've gotten so much work done on the pool in the last 2 days plus they've been pouring around the pool. Chuck was up there and said it's looking amazing! I want to walk out on their back porch and see it from that angle. I looks good from here, but I'm sure it looks better from their vantage point.

Good morning ladies. Jen and I will be heading over to meet the owner of the dog kennel in a bit and finalize the week stay for the dogs next month. We are having 40ish weather now for the next week or so, so any errands will be in the morning. Afternoons will be pool time and a few times we'll get the dogs over to the river to cool off. When we go on the cruise we are going to freeze to death LOL. We booked two excursions, whale watching and a glacier helicopter ride. Jen and I want to go wandering thru Hoonan and walk along the ocean from the ship to the small village, it is about a 30 min walk. We may wander a bit through a trail but unless we find a guide we won't go too far in case we get lost. We were on the website and phone all day yesterday, trying to book excursions. It was crazy, busy signals, crashed website, everyone scrambling to book. So I'm happy we got two great excursions. We also put in bids for room upgrades, they sent the notice yesterday that anyone that wanted to bid on the few remaining rooms could do so. We don't expect to be the highest bid but we put in an amount we were comfortable with and if we don't get one, that's ok, we are happy with the room we already have.

We are loving Joe vs Carol, what a crazy story. We have 3 episodes left so will finish it off this week.

@faerywings Enjoy the visit from your mom. Sending good vibes to the kids for their jobs. Hope the plans work out for your trip with your mom.

Morning ladies... Another sunny hot day today and tomorrow even warmer. I am beginning to wonder if the hike will be cancelled because of the heat?? Off to the spa soon so won't stay long in here. I am still in a bit of a funk with scrapping, but I guess my mind is on other things right?!! I did work on my silhouette machine and got some heat transfer patterns put onto a few of my shirts, they turned out really well and hopefully I will wear these tops more often now. Here are some pics, I think I like the fish one the best.

They are all older tops of mine so I hope to get much more wear out of them now. Ok I have come back from the spa and left in the middle of this post. My mind is so easily distracted!! Heather called and then It was time to head out the door and I forgot to close this off LOL. Oh well now I have some bills to pay and hope to catch up with you all in a bit, or maybe not until tomorrow afternoon #dk.
