Good morning! How are you today? I hope that everyone is feeling well-rested and is enjoying the day.
It looks like it's going to be nice this morning but then that will be over later today. Big T-storms are predicted for this afternoon and then several days of 90+ temps. I should probably get outside early today. Especially since I didn't get all that much time out in the yard yesterday.

I had a whole bunch of spinning plates in my head at lunchtime and decided that I was going to put the Coloring group off until next week. I did the inside stuff as best as I could. The next item up was to keep deadheading the gardens. When I was cleaning the kitchen, I noticed the compost bucket was full. I put that on the front steps, got my work sneakers, and took it out back. I was on my way back to the patio to rinse it out when something very sharp stabbed me in the ankle. Looked down and it was a &%$#%&* Yellowjacket. :angry4: And it was getting ready to sting me again so I toss the bucket, rip off my shoe and sock, and run inside. Cursing all the while at it. I grabbed new socks, put my shoes back on, and tried to do some deadheading but my ankle *hurt.* It started to swell up and burn so I ended up giving up. While I was in the shower, I was muttering to myself, "Shoulda gone to the coloring group. Woulda been easier to go to the coloring group." :soapbox:

There's a yellowjacket nest under the siding by the garbage can and they don't bother us and we don't bother them. I think that when I put the compost outside they claimed that as theirs and I bet I made them *mad* when I took it away.

Gary and I were comparing our swollen ankles last night. We took the dogs for a hike in the morning and he twisted his left ankle and my right ankle is the one that got stung. He joked that we should tie our band ankles together and then have the good ones to walk on. Picture a 3-legged "race" with one person being 5'11" and the other a foot shorter:rotfl:

I have my list of things to do today, and hopefully, I can get my act together long enough to get some things done. There's no real update on the house yet. The owner's attorney wasn't able to get to look at the contract yesterday but should be able to do it today. But the owners sent a message to my SIL saying that they want to sell to Cait and Tom as soon as the legal stuff is hammered out :)
My dad's Dr appt with the inner-ear specialist is today. My mom is driving him and has a few questions of her own she wants to ask. Please send lots of good vibes and extra patience to them both. TIA!

Muah!!!

Good morning. I don't have any idea where the week went that I wasn't here. Work is crazy busy...and I'm clinging to every last minute with Sydney. She will head back in about 3 weeks I think...can get into her apartment on the 16th of August. We spent last weekend in Melbourne and our hotel room overlooked the Atlantic. I so enjoyed that. But my MoJo is totally missing.

I'll go back later today and read through what's been going on. I miss you ladies for sure!

@Nonni F Did all of the computer stuff work out ok? No more glitches? I have such a love/hate relationship with tech, that would have put me firmly on the hate side for the day... at least.

@bcgal00 Is the air quality any better this morning? How about the temps? You must be looking forward to the winter again. You were able to get out and enjoy the fresh air much more than you have been recently. It sounds like it would have been a good day to work on your photos, were you able to get any of that accomplished?
Is Your Honor streaming? I am trying to get a list of some new shows to stream if the SAG and WGA strikes affect the upcoming seasons of shows.

BTW- I know I have mentioned the show Miracle Workers before and the 4th (and final *sobs*) season started and it is hysterical. HYS-terical. I usually prefer dramas over sitcoms but my two favorite shows are What We Do In The Shadows and Miracle Workers- both 100% off-the-rails comedies.

@Cherylndesigns Yesterday was Monday and today is Tuesday. Yes. :nod1:
I am with Chuck, no *way* would I want anyone coming to my house that late in the day. At that point in time, I am done, stick a fork kinda done. LOL That's a great idea to write it down to help keep track when she is over.
It seems that most movies come to streaming pretty quickly, so you should be able to see the movie in the comfort of your own home. That is what I would do, in PJs and glasses and cuddling with the dogs. Oh-- and a glass of wine :wine4:
I can't wait to see the photos, the trellis sound so pretty!
Isn't that Marguerite kit fab!? I scrapped a LO of me kissing a cow with Marguerite 1 ;) I usually am not drawn to that style of kit but Christine's designs are super cute and fun! I'll have to look for yours in the Gallery.

Arline, you gotta be kidding me! :rolleyes1:
I know you are not, whenever there is conflict between humans and machines.... the machines will always win. (Reason #74887923 why I am scared of AI!) Hope that your IT Dept is up for the tasks ahead. :stupicpc:

@vickyday Ughhhhhh, so sorry that you had a horrid night's sleep. Was last night's better?
I bet you are getting tons of tomatoes with all of the plants you showed us. Salsa is a great way to use them. That's great about the birds and even better that you got pics of them. Hope you hear from Ilene today.

Hugs!

Oh man! Hope you and G's ankles heal quickly! Glad you aren't anaphylactic allergic to the yellow jackets, at least!
How nice that the owners want to sell to C & T! They get my vote, too! ;)

Morning, all. Woke up earlier than usual as I was dreaming I worked in store that was having a sale and was overwhelmed with customers!!! Was so glad to wake up... On the good side, it was in the low 70's so I opened the house up for an hour. Back to 100's for this week... again!

I took Sunday as a PJ day and read (and napped). I finished Book 2 of the Guardians. Yesterday I ended up scrapping (Color Play) most of the day. DD#3 came down for a quick visit and pick some mail for her hubby late in the afternoon. Started Book 3 of the Guardians last night. I put 3 books on reserve at the library but they won't available for a few weeks.

@faerywings so sorry about the yellowjacket sting on your ankle and Gary's twisted ankle. Had to laugh about the vision of the 2 of you doing a 3-legged walk/race!!! Hoping that the lawyer gets the paperwork done so Cait and Tom can sign the papers on the house.

@LSlycord saw some photos of your vacation on FB! Don't blame you for wanting to spend lots of time with Sydney before she heads back to college. Hope you are not too snowed under with work so you can enjoy having her home.

@vickyday I was another one that thought the spiral on the bike was an accident... so glad it was just a lovely trip.

@Nonni F :floorlaugh: over the Fire Chief's blowing things up... the sage is perfect!

Much better sleep last night!
I picked a TON more tomatoes yesterday! We are getting the nicest regular sized tomatoes we have EVER gotten, too! Mark really liked the salsa and told me to def keep that recipe!
Ilene is going with me today when I get my ring cleaned and we are going to Olive Garden afterwards! :dancingelephant:dance4

Good Morning!
Had a GOOD night's sleep last night! Went to bed with Mark at 10:30 and got up at 8:30! That's the way it goes, usually, after a rough night!
I've been out watching the birds this morning! MORE than the cardinal and house finch are back at the feeder now. Even the gold finches came to the feeder, male and female! Saw a titmouse, too! And, believe it or not, the hummingbird was buzzing around the feeder.....probably out of curiosity because she never landed on it! The seeds are almost as big as she is, anyway, if she even did try! A dove was lurking in the tree behind, as was a pair of Downy woodpeckers. A red-bellied woodpecker grabbed a large seed from the feeder! Two male gold finches were working on the sunflowers pretty heavily, too! I had to move the lawn chair next to the hummingbird nectar on the deck to be able to see the feeder well and the hummers were "in my face" literally! I don't think they were happy that I was that close to their nectar! I'm having to replenish the nectar about every other day! There are more hummingbirds this year than usual!
Ilene called while I was outside. I called her back to see if she wanted to go with me to get my ring cleaned and then go to Olive Garden afterwards. She said, OF COURSE! That's my Ilene! If food is involved she is on it! She, at 83, has the metabolism of a teenager!
Mark sent a text after I had made plans with Ilene. He wanted to go to lunch. I had to turn him down. That just means that tomorrow I will be going to lunch with him! ;). I'm OK with that!
I got some Daydream product today to do some Goldfinch layouts.....off to work on those!
Have a great day!

Good morning ladies. I am heading out to the dog park soon. The air quality is still bad as the Ross Moore fire keeps building. The city is covered in a dense smoky fog and breathing outside is like standing over a campfire, breathing in. You can feel and taste the smoke in your lungs. I hope they are able to get it under control but it doesn't sound like that will happen soon unfortunately. It's scary.

I am heading out with D after the dog park to drop off stuff for donation and he's picking up a door bell with camera. We have security cameras around the house but he wants a doorbell alert with camera app so he can see who is at the door.

I'll be charging up camera batteries today b/c I'll head out first thing tomorrow morning to meet up with a friend for a birding walk and go the big market I've heard about in Ashcroft (a small town about 1 hr outside Kamloops).

@faerywings Glad to hear that it sounds like C&T will get the house. Sorry to hear of the sting, ouch.

@vickyday Yum, Olive Garden. Haven't been there in years. We don't have one here.

Time to get more coffee and hop in the shower so I can get on with my day. HAGD everyone.

Good afternoon, my lovlies.

Quick in and out for me today I have to do the GSO blog and I haven't even started! I usually start a day ahead but things have been crazy and I have to do it all today. It's a real time-cruncher. I'll be back later.

In the meantime, Chris @faerywings and Rae @bcgal00 I made a little movie of my windchimes yesterday. It was pretty windy (you can hear the wind, but you can also hear the chimes. Rae, they're aluminum and not "obnoxiously" loud at all - just a sweet, serene sound. I couldn't figure out how to post it here, so I put it on Instagram. Here's the link: https://www.instagram.com/p/CvGKko2v1A-/

I also took pics, which I'll post later or tomorrow at the latest. Be back later.

Miss you too, girl. Sending lots of hugs to you - enjoy every minute - August 16th will be here before we know it. I think that's about when Braden goes to school. BooHoo

Yes, Chris - today is TUESDAY - I have pounded that into my head. Today is also Asher's birthday he's 12 can you even believe that??? That little squirt - it seems like yesterday that we were all in the hospital for his birth. He's "too cool for school" these days. 12 is the new 16, I'm convinced. Our kids "got weird" when they were about 16. Chuck used to say "they go into their rooms, and they don't come back out until they're 18". Now, they go into their rooms at 11 and I don't even KNOW when they come out. BTW, I forgot to say that the birthday party for Tom sounded like a complete success. When you talked about what Cait got Tom, all I could envision was the movie "Little House of Horrors". :floorlaugh::floorlaugh:

Did you and Rae @bcgal00 get a chance to go look at my wind chimes on Instagram? Rae was saying that the wind where she lived was too strong for wind chimes. Our wind is terribly strong, and I really wanted her to hear how melodic mine were. We live up on a hill and there's always a strong wind off the mountains.

I just got all of my GSO stuff done - I'll try to catch up with everyone tomorrow. As promised, here are some pictures of my trellis and I know I posted the "before" picture, but I'm posting it again. I planted my vining Black eyed Susan's on May 3rd and now they're nearly to touch in the middle of the arch. They're SO pretty.
