CHEERY O
:dance2: It's here, the day I have been both anxiously and excitedly waiting for —Pre-school Summer Camp!
And guess what I was doing at 5 am this morning? Switching up my lesson plans! Of course I was. :D Just slight changes. I always run through a new program before I go to sleep. It seems that is the best time to "rehearse," and if any tweaks are needed, I can fix them when I wake up. I adjusted some timing and locations to make it easier for the kids to move around —and get to the bathrooms quickly if needed.

No matter what happens, my guess is that it will be waaaaay easier than yesterday. Yikes! It was pure teenage chaos! The group arrived late, and most of the kids were wearing Crocs or slides. They had been sorted into 11--uh huh! 11-- groups when we needed them to be in 5. As I was attempting to group them into 18-20 kids, one of their counselors said that they had kids who had to be in certain groups with specific counselors b/c of medical needs/epipens/etc. Why didn't they do this before they arrived? No idea. This isn't the first time this particular camp was with us either.
Once we got the rotations going, I was fine. It was a long day, but for the most part, the kids I had were awesome. We found tons of really cool stuff in the stream and the forest.

We dropped my car off at the shop when I got home and the mechanic thinks it should be an easy fix. *fingers and toes crossed*
Although it was funny when I pulled into work yesterday morning. My coworker took one look at Cait's car and his jaw dropped. Not again... I nod. Yup... again!

I'm going to do quick personals, then move my AJ Challenge, and then I am off!

HAGD!

Off on more adventures today. We are in New Hampshire now and meeting up with Jay's old boss with his wife. We are taking a boat ride on Lake Winnipesaukee to town then walk around maybe lunch. Then the ride back and off to dinner....tooo much eating so the guys may adjust the schedule.
I hope the sun warmed up since you were on the water. Sounds like a wonderful time and hopefully lots of great food and drinks along with amazing company :)
Not a lot happening today. Just need to do laundry and then we will get the boat ready to go fishing. Cant wait. Didn't think I would feel good enough to go fishing and YEAH I do feel good enough to go!!!
This makes me so HAPPY!!!! :dancing6:
I'm home today relaxing after a nice long walk at the river with the dogs and Jen. Made a good profit at the market yesterday and now have a 4 wk hiatus until two wkends back to back for the end of summer markets. With this bit of a break I can take my time and create at a slower pace and have time for other stuff too. Whew. It's been a busy summer.
So proud and happy for you that you are kicking butt at the artisan markets! Enjoy your (semi) break and designing new pieces. I bet that you have found your rhythm and know what works and sells. Yay!
I'm going to be looking for recipes to use up white turnips and beets that I got in my produce box this wk. I'm roasting spaghetti squash later too. I sure am eating a lot more plant based meals lately.
LMK what you do with the turnips and beets. We had radishes that we didn't know what to do with and Caitlyn roasted them with smoked paprika and a little cayenne and holy moly, they were delicious! We had an entire meal of veggies and I was shocked at how yummy it all was. I made roasted cauliflower steaks, and Caitlyn made sweet potato wedges, the roasted radishes and chickpeas.
Good afternoon,
I had a rough night last night! I ate a spicy chicken sandwich from Wendy's and a frosty.....both worked themselves straight through me and I was awake most of the night visiting the bathroom! Stomach is still in disarray today! I finally ate a little at 2 so we shall see how it settles!
I hope that your stomach is all better today!
Busy morning here. I didn't sleep well last night - waking up every hour or so all nigh
Did you sleep better last night?
That is awesome that DD#3 is working on getting the VHS tapes digitized.

Time to get ready for work.
xoxoxo

Quick in and out this AM... Slept in until after 8AM - and so did DD#1 (she is still asleep). Yes, I did have a better night's sleep last night... only woke up once. DD#3 dropped by late yesterday afternoon for a visit with us. After supper, DD#1 and I watched "Operation Mincemeat" with Colin Firth on Netflix. I had seen it before but she had not.

I hear her stirring... time to close this out. BBL

Good morning ladies. It's a rainy day here, its a good day to sit inside and play cards. Later I'll peel and spice up turnips with oil, rosemary and garlic to roast along with tinfoil wrapped beets sprinkled with oil, S&P (later when cool I can pull the skins off easily this way, or so the recipe says).

We'll have turkey/cranberry/mayo sandwiches. D will have potato salad and I'll have a salad with the veggies overtop. Easy dinner.

Changed my avi to a selfie from a few days ago at the rodeo, wearing my first-ever cowboy hat. D just got a pair of cowboy boots, he's excited to wear them. I might look into getting a pair too.

@faerywings Fingers crossed that the car fix is a minimal cost.

I've got to shower and get ready to head out to cards. HAGD everyone.

@faerywings I'm glad you survived yesterday with all those students...I bet they loved you and your program. Up early today tweaking your lesson plan...do you work constantly??? Your mind does not shut off does it?
I hope the car fix is easy and not many $$$
I agree cooked radishes are delicious. I would never thought of cooking them if I had not seen a recipe in a magazine. I cook turnips the put butter, S&P and serve at Friendsgiving...I guess I would search for recipe on internet if hubby wanted them a different way. They are great in beef stew too.

@bcgal00 your new pic is so cute. Sounds like you are having fun and have profitable creations for the shows. That is so wonderful.

We had a super fun day yesterday taking the boat across Lake Winnipiesaukee with Jay;s old boss and wife. They own a cottage on the lake and last time we were here his wife was at their home in CT so this is the first time we met her. We hit it off immediately. It was a little chilly till we changed course and went with the wind. It was super pretty with blue sky, puffy clouds with blue water and white caps. First we visited a bakery then great day shopping and walking around the quaint town of Wolfeboro "the oldest summer resort in America" well they say so anyway. Back across lake to Gilford so we went into town for early dinner then we went our separate ways.
today we went to the campground laundry so when that was done I changed sheets and folded laundry. I did some cleaning since we leave tomorrow I needed to get a few things put away that won't be needed. We went to lunch and did some errands then filled up the truck with diesel. We spent the afternoon getting in touch with Florida friends...some have health problems now so need a call. We also got in touch with our marina friends that we will be seeing in a few days. We are all going out to dinner in New London but the total is growing so it will be great to see everyone. Dear granddaughter called and is looking forward to seeing us a little later this month. She reported that almost everything is in the new house but they will not start living there till DD and SIL get back from Greece. The security system is not installed yet so they do not want the kids there alone yet..

@AK_Tracy It's so great that you will feel good enough to fishing since you enjoy it so much. We look forward to seeing those pics. Do you dry it or freeze it?

Note: I wish there was someone here who I could share the maple candy I bought in VT...so delicious but I really don't want to eat them all.

Good Evening!!!
what a day

And guess what I was doing at 5 am this morning?
I bet it wasn't the same thing I was doing at 5 am :floorlaugh::floorlaugh::floorlaugh:
then move my AJ Challenge,
YES hurry up!!! I have be stalking the thread waiting :heartpumppink:
Good morning ladies.
I LOVE the new photo!!! So cute and sassy. :heartpumppink:

We usually freeze some of it and can a lot of it. 90 minutes at 12 pounds for 14 pints or 7 quarts. Takes a lot of time to can but frees up the freezer.
Note: I wish there was someone here who I could share the maple candy I bought in VT...so delicious but I really don't want to eat them all.
Pick me! that sounds amazing!!!!

Today was an amazing day fishing!!! Its a subsistence fish for Alaskans. We were up at 5 a.m. and getting dressed too fish! See Chris, told ya it wasn't the same :floorlaugh: Then we were on the water by 7 a.m. and had our catch of 41 fish by 9 a.m. Low tide was a negative tide so we had to wait until noon for the dock to be open again, so we puttered around until 1 and then got in line to dock the boat and take it out. Was an amazing day on the water and just stunning. The fishing was amazing but oh I am paying for it now. Worth every moment. We were home again by 3 and all cleaned up by 4. Now, we sit and try to stay awake until bed time.

Good Evening,
Didn't make it in here at all today. Been working on bike pages, took an organization class with Anna, and doing some file organizing this evening. Stomach still on the mend. Hopefully tomorrow will be back to normal!
Nitey Night!
