It is really feeling summer in NJ- hot, humid, t-storms- the whole deal. It is going to rain here soon, but then the sun should come out to make it even steamier. And yet... I am going to be wearing cold weather clothes to the dr's office today. She keeps the AC on full blast! There are blankets in the infusion room and I have been known to wrap myself in one of them if I forget to bring a jacket. LOL

Yup- another visit to my LLMD, and guess what question I am *not* going to ask? When I can go back to work. Even *I* know that answer to that one, if I listen to my gut. I know I am not ready yet. I said to Gary yesterday that if she gave me the OK to clean, I would push and push myself, and any sort of gains in healing would be down the drain. But I would do it, and have the history to prove that, on both accounts.

Yesterday was a total BUST of a day. I got all dolled up to see my BFF. I put make up on, and had on a super cute outfit. I am driving out of town and I notice my car is shaking a bit. I thought to myself that as soon as I got back home I would have Gary check my tire, the back one has a slow leak. I get to another road, going about 55mph and the car is shaking worse. I had to get onto the highway, and now the whole steering column is shaking and the brakes are off. I get to a little strip mall and pull into the lot, and it is shaking and squeaking.
I called my BFF to tell her not to leave the house yet, that I don't think I am going to be able to make it all the way down to where we meet. Then I call Gary and he says the best thing to do is to drive slow and take the back roads home, which was my plan. Then my BFF calls me and man, I am so mad!!! I am dropping the F-bomb in the parking lot (no one was near me) and all I could say was how much I wanted to see her, and I looked CUTE dammit!!!! She talked me down, told me the most important thing was to get home safely.
:blah:
I know that she and Gary were right, but I was still really upset.

Gary checked the tire pressure and three of them were really high, and one, the one with the leak, was really low. He fixed that and then we took it out for a drive and while it is still making weird noises (been doing that for a while) the shaking was gone. Whew!

I linked this video in the Prompt thread, but have to post it here too. I could watch this over and over and it cracks me up every time! Hope you enjoy it too!

Nancy- What is it about men? My BFFATS's husband was mowing the lawn on Sunday. He just passed his 1 year anniversary of a heart attack! I loooove hearing about your son and the GF, so cute that he is starting to work out more to keep up with her.
I hope that he wasn't too stiff and sore.
Too funny about your mom and cameras- my mom is the same way, we can always tell which pics she has taken.

Sharon- eewwwwww!! Your DH and the hard candy brought back a bad memory for me. When I was little, we would go up to a cabin in Maine for vacation. It was about 10 hours from here so we would pack up the station wagon with our sleeping bags on the floor (no cars seat or seat belts at all!). My mom always packed a tin of Sour Balls. I have no idea why cuz they were nasty. One trip I was feeling a little bit car sick and she told me to have one. It made my stomach feel even worse!

We are more rural up here, at least as rural as North NJ can get, and a lot of people have chickens. One family on our street could never keep them contained and they would come around the street, into our yard. My kids thought it was a trip to see them clucking along. Hope this one finds it way home safely.

Dang, Sharon!! That has to be a record! 76 pages!! :first: You rock!

good morning - it was hot again yesterday and again today it should be over 90. So yesterday was reading but I did bring down a fan and that made a world of difference. Went to the store and then had dinner with my girlfriend. It was fun to sit in the air conditioning for an hour or so. Today is another very slow day.

Chris so sorry about your car and no lunch. Glad it was just a tire pressure problem but I know the feeling when you are not totally sure of your car. Hopefully you can reschedule soon.

Have a great day all!

Oh Chris! So sorry about how your day turned out. A total waste of Cute! And so hard on the mind when there are car problems.

I am thankful for temps predicted to reach just mid-70s today. A few days of respite before the heat returns.

Nancy, glad you got to cool off for awhile with your friend.

Hi back at ya, Angela! Enjoy those boys.

Prayer meeting at our house tonight. Regular hostess is out of town again, so I invited the "boys" for BBQ salmon beforehand. It will just be me and 5 guys again (3 of them are bachelors, so they just LOVE having home-cooked dinners).

I think am finally caught up on scrapping photos of the last few weeks, but doing a tutorial from my other "home," Digital Scrapper, today, then listening/watching iPhoneography class segments. ...I should probably clean the bathrooms too, since we'll be having guests. Hoping the American Girl doll I got from eBay for my DGD arrives today. It was supposed to come by yesterday, but didn't. I am ALWAYS nervous about eBay purchases until they are safely in my possession.

..........one more slosh of coffee...............

Gorgeous day today and wasn't too hot yesterday. Going to my sister's in a bit but so far she's doing well. She was in-patient for the first treatment but will do the rest as out-patient. Thanks so much for all the good thoughts for her!!

Chris, so sorry your "cute" was for naught and not getting to see your BFF! Sure hope it goes well with the LLMD.

Nancy, hope a slow day is good and not to hot.

Hi, Angela. Great seeing your lovely pages in the gallery!

Sharon I am so impressed with your 76 pages! :cheer2: And not just quantity, but really gorgeous ones. Have a good evening with the guys. ;)

So the daily "ooo's" is for life chatter and whatnot? Just learning my way around.

It's so hot and humid here all you have to do is "be" outside and the sweat starts pouring.

Hi ladies  just popping in again today while DD and Mason are having a nap, house is clean and laundry done, now to find something for supper?? I think maybe a stir fry of some sort. Something healthy for a change! Sorry I have not been around for personals, but I am soaking up every single moment of grandson time I can get!! Jonah arrives this weekend so things should calm down a bit and hopefully they will get out on their own and enjoy some of the touristy things to do around here! I hope you are all having a fabulous summer and I am looking forward to catching up with everyone again once my house is empty again. Off to take DD and Mason for a haircut later on today. Sending you all my

Yep, Hummie. You got it right. We're just sort of a coffee klatch. Hope you'll join in. You can bring the muffins. ;) Where is "here," that is so hot and humid?

Jean, glad to hear your sis is doing well.

And Trudy! Snuggle up that little man while you can. Nice to see your smiling face if only for a moment.

Oh, I've been wanting to make some strawberry scones to go with my tea. I'll bring those. :)

I live in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.
