It is really feeling summer in NJ- hot, humid, t-storms- the whole deal. It is going to rain here soon, but then the sun should come out to make it even steamier. And yet... I am going to be wearing cold weather clothes to the dr's office today. She keeps the AC on full blast! There are blankets in the infusion room and I have been known to wrap myself in one of them if I forget to bring a jacket. LOL
Yup- another visit to my LLMD, and guess what question I am *not* going to ask? When I can go back to work. Even *I* know that answer to that one, if I listen to my gut. I know I am not ready yet. I said to Gary yesterday that if she gave me the OK to clean, I would push and push myself, and any sort of gains in healing would be down the drain. But I would do it, and have the history to prove that, on both accounts.
Yesterday was a total BUST of a day. I got all dolled up to see my BFF. I put make up on, and had on a super cute outfit. I am driving out of town and I notice my car is shaking a bit. I thought to myself that as soon as I got back home I would have Gary check my tire, the back one has a slow leak. I get to another road, going about 55mph and the car is shaking worse. I had to get onto the highway, and now the whole steering column is shaking and the brakes are off. I get to a little strip mall and pull into the lot, and it is shaking and squeaking.
I called my BFF to tell her not to leave the house yet, that I don't think I am going to be able to make it all the way down to where we meet. Then I call Gary and he says the best thing to do is to drive slow and take the back roads home, which was my plan. Then my BFF calls me and man, I am so mad!!! I am dropping the F-bomb in the parking lot (no one was near me) and all I could say was how much I wanted to see her, and I looked CUTE dammit!!!! She talked me down, told me the most important thing was to get home safely.
:blah:
I know that she and Gary were right, but I was still really upset.
Gary checked the tire pressure and three of them were really high, and one, the one with the leak, was really low. He fixed that and then we took it out for a drive and while it is still making weird noises (been doing that for a while) the shaking was gone. Whew!
I linked this video in the Prompt thread, but have to post it here too. I could watch this over and over and it cracks me up every time! Hope you enjoy it too!
