Its my Mommy's Birthday today!!! I cannot forget to call her, and have the kids call today too. We are going to her house for a big dinner on Saturday but I can't let this day slip away. Not that I would ever do that :pout: Its sad how much slides through my brain some days.

So I got some good/bad news yesterday :)
Remember the flake-client? She canceled me for good. She called and spoke to Gary that it had nothing to do with me, but that she needed weekly service. I couldn't do that. I never felt such a huge relief about losing a client!!! I reached back out to my MIL to see if she needed me at all- maybe I can go down and help her once a month, at least until another client pops up her in town. Either way, its all for the best. The only thing that is bad about it is that I have 4 clients one week, and now just one the other. What the heck will I do with myself with 4 days off???
:D

Other than that, yesterday was pretty ok. Sun was shining and the weather was over 40* I think we are supposed to have the same the next couple of days so maybe this darn snow will go away. I have been trying to scrape the snow piles away from the sides of my driveway because I keep backing into the snow banks

Tip on Tuesday:
If any of you use AVG for virus-protection, you might want to try another one, like avast. I had been having trouble with AVG then my mom was, so we looked into it and the new 2013 version is buggy apparently. I uninstalled it and installed avast and my computer is running a lot faster again any my cursor has stopped locking up.

Have a great one!!

Laurie- my stomach is so huge, I need to get back to eating better as well. My mom got me a subscription to Cooking Light Magazine (and MMG gets me a free sub of Fitness, are they trying to tell me something???). If I try anything out of it and its a hit, I'll share if you'd like.

Linda S- how awesome that you got a good night's sleep too. And even better about Syd's practice :D

Nancy- I head some of the news "blurbs" about the boat show, sounds like it is amazing. I heard that they even had scuba lessons going on? How crazy is that!?
I need to work on cleaning out my photos and old psd's and stuff too. But its so hard to get motivated to do that. What's your secret?

No cancellations so far *knock wood* but I did get a request for an extra day this week, and I don't have the time to do it. Can't win! hahahaha!!!

Terry- Furbaby still on the mend? What is your tips/secret for getting your stash organized? I used to work for ACDSee a long time ago and use that to get organized. But now that I don't work for them I am pretty lazy about staying on top of it all.

Hi Donna!! I do not understand how anyone can sit outside for a football game when it is that cold out. Give me 80* and sun any day!! :D

Trudy- What if you had plans already based on your regular hours? Would your boss give you a hard time if you told him you were not available for them all?

Jen- for some reason, I *think* that chasing after all of those kids would count as exercise!!!!

Phyllis- ouuuuch... :( Hope that you got better sleep last night than you did the night before.
I love the Karma Story! That made me laugh. I try to keep that attitude when people make me mad or aggravated or even happy. It all works out in the grand scheme of things.

Nana- feel better!! My abx advice-- no matter what the label says, *always* take abx with food. Doesn't have to be a bif meal, even some crackers but always have something in your stomach. Also, if you are not taking acidophilous , take gobs of it.The more living organisms the better. But that has to be taken at least 1-2 hours after abx. And lots of water to flush the system.
Hope that the dr can get you on something that helps.

oh and yes, Phyllis is right yogurt is wonderful for acidophilous but it can't be the processed kind-- look on the label for living organisms again.
~ Signed,
Dr. abx lol

xoxoxo!!!

Good morning ladies. Quick drive by here. It's performance review time at work which means writing reviews. I take it very seriously and I agonize over it each time that I do it. I really want each person to go away from the review feeling like it was worthwhile.

Been up since 4:00 so I got bills paid and now I think I'm going to put together the Dyson. It arrived yesterday but by the time we got home from Shaun's practice, I was just too tuckered out to do anything. (Tuckered...a throwback to my grandma and great-grandma...funny how those things never leave...)

Have a great day all.

howdy. and Happy Tuesday, O-zies.had my usual strangely fragmented night's sleeps, so now i'm rarin' to GO! (not....) not much to attend to today. gotta get my gorilla face waxed (OUCH!!) and run some errands in the neighborhood. taking some stuff to Goodwill, mailing some things, etc.

does anyone have a tip for a good hypo-allergenic face moisturizer? i thought i was on to something when i read about this hypo-allergenic stuff that is used as the base for phamaceutical creams. i found a place in Canada that sells the stuff in a vat. i figured that it woud be great. no perfumes, hypo-allergenic. it came yesterday, and it smells like rubber!! i can't imagine using the stuff. i'd smell like a Goodyear store! so, back to the drawing board. any suggestions?

off to start the day. i'll set the robots lose for some light cleaning and flick my magic duster around the place.

have a good one. there's a WARMING trend in the NorthEast this week! life is good.

I have a dyson as well- purple and love it. Phylis- I switched to cetaphil moisturizing lotion for my face- when I had reactions to previous creams and it was wonderful- I use it in the winter and slather it on

Dysons are cool. (But not as cool as Bow-ties. And fezzes.)

Have fun Linda. And good luck with the reviews.

Phyllis- whats the base for you lotion? You could warm some up in a double boiler so it thins out and add a few drops of essential oil. Lavender smells good and is good for the skin. Rosemary is also good for regenerating skin cells. A mix of the two would be amazing!

Chris, it says Aqua, petrolatum, cetearl alcohol, parafinum liquidum, ceteareth-20,sodium phosphate, p-cioro-m-cresol. they have the ingredients listed only under the French directions. it smells AWFUL!

Laurie, thanks. i'll look into Cetaphil.

Good morning!

I'm really trying to get myself psyched up to work out. Problem--I like to work out early in the morning and it is cold out! I don't do cold well. So, I have been staying hunkered under the covers and forgetting the work out. Plus--I need to go to bed earlier so I can get up earlier.

Last night I stayed up way to late reading about full frame cameras versus crop frame. You see--I got a bonus for Christmas and thinking of a full frame camera. But---if I rationalize things---I really don't know all the ins and outs of my present camera that is only 2 years old. Do I really need a full frame?

I spent some time last night catching up on my 365 album and trying to get it finished. Just have a little bit more to go and I'll be finished. Hoping to finish it today and then do the cover.

Phyllis--your sleep patterns must be nerve wracking. Have you considered laser removal for the facial hair. I had mine done--sideburns, upper lip---a few years ago. It was one of the best things I did for myself.

Laurie--you inspire me with your commitment to working out.

Linda--ahh...performance reviews. I hated doing those suckers. Everyone thinks they are an A+ and should get a raise.

Chris--have you thought about ironing for extra money? My housekeeper has several clients that all she does is their ironing.

have a great day!

Yes Phylis...Cetophil....my poor Jaid-a-bug has eczema and the Dr has me use that for her. She is SUPER sensitive to anything...if I use regular lotions she screams that it burns. The other that I use for her is Eucerin.

Have you ever tried Principal Secret? I used it for years....it is hypoallergenic and it feels so good!!! I had to stop using because of price....I MISS IT!!! I used the original forumula....when I switched over to the Reclaim line (the old lady stuff :hurt:), I still liked the original moisturizer the best.....so I switched back....you know...I might just need to order some of that again....It made your face feel so good!!!

Girls....I keep yogurt here all the time for the kids....I guess I need to have a read at the label...I do feel a bit better this morning. I always eat something with it...I actually will eat bread before I take it....(worst thing for abx...they say it soaks it up too much and you don't get the full effects from the abx...but I have to!!! never have been able to take it without something)

Well.....since I am feeling a little better...I need to do a Sam's run this morning!! I didn't go at all in Decemeber. Guess that is my plan for the day....Jesse has basketball practice this evening. His first game is this Saturday. My weekends will be sports filled for the next couple of months....Jesse on Saturdays playing basketball and Cameran on Sundays playing indoor Soccer. Better get my camera out....I think I forgot how to use it!!!

Terry, i thought of lazer hair removal, but i get brown scars from EVERYTHING. like i get a mosquito bite, and it leaves a brown mark that lasts for 20 years. i'm afraid that, if i do lazer or electrolysis, i'll end up with brownish skin wherever the hair was removed!!

Nana, that stuff looks too good for me! i like something that's CHEAP and that i can slather on. i LOVE Clarins stuff, but it can bankrupt a person! plus, i got contact dematitis around my eyes from one of their products, so that scared me off finally. i used to use this cheap Avon Rich Moisture stuff for like forever. then Avon got fancy and stopped making it and now pushes that stuff with some sort of acid in it, which makes welts all over my face. i use Lubriderm as a body lotion, without any problems. i guess i might as well just slop it on my face, too. gonna get some Cetaphil today, too, and see what that's like.

:brick: Phylis!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's not TOO GOOD for you!! BUT...I get the price thing....when I stopped working I had to stop using!!! But I will admit that it lasted a very long time!! But I slather on the cheap stuff now....I found some equate (Walmart Brand) face cream a couple of weeks ago...been using that lately.

When I worked...I did feel like I could treat myself to things like that...I always had nice clothes, good skin care and LOADS OF VICTORIA SECRET UNDERWEAR!!! :becky:

Morning "O" friends... Fell asleep on the recliner last night after supper and I think that I am finally caught up on the ZZZ's!! Had no problem getting into bed after sleeping for an hour or so on the couch and slept right through the night. I was exhausted!! :faint: But feel so much better this morning and ready to get this day over with! I have tomorrow off and hope to get lots done, groceries, cleaning and of course some time here with all of you!!

Chris - What a relief that you don't have to clean at the zoo anymore:becky: Hopefully you can pick up a new client to take her place! Let me know if you find anything great in your subscription to get rid of a big belly, I could use the tip!!! I know that I need to exercise , but I really need a good kick in the you know what to get going!! Thinking of joining weight watchers again, not sure that my thyroid will cooperate though. Oh well say lave !!

LindaS - Wish you were my boss!! At least you take your job seriously, my boss's idea of a review is to tell you he wishes he could pay you what your worth, but can't and gives you a few cents for a raise???? Thanks for nothing!!

Phylis - Ouch on getting the gorilla face done today!! You kill me!! :pound:
Trudy, they are SOOOOOOOO taking advantage of you!!
You are soooo right!! One day I hope to get the gumption to walk into his office and tell him to stick his job right where the sun don't shine :becky: Need to find another part time job first though!! What the heck is the name of the cream you got from Canada?? So I know not to buy any!!

Laurie - Sorry you lost your long post!! I hate when that happens!! :mmph:

Terry- if you think of something to get you motivated to work out, share it with me!! I really need some motivation too!!

Nana - Glad that you are feeling a bit better today! Have fun on your Sam's run today and hope that you get some great action shots of the games you attend over the next few days!! Have a great day my friend!!

Well gotta hit the shower and get some porridge going for our breakfast today. Warming trend heading in for us today also, so going to enjoy the temps, but it will bring lots of rain with it too. Well you don't have to shovel rain :becky: Have a creative day everyone!!

good morning - We are having a thaw in NJ this week. Temps up near 50. So weird but not complaining. I have archived through June. Chris my secret for archiving is that I find it fun to see the photos from two years ago and what has changed and what has stayed the same. Time has passed but my family and friends are still here.

Thanks for all the recommendations on face creams - I just love all the oil of olay products. I used to use Clinque but found that oil of olay does as well and can be found at grocery store.

Have a great day all. You all sound so busy and I so remember those days LOL!

Trudy, the cream is GlaxallBase. i don't think it's just Canadian. i've seen it sold in small tubes on Drugstore.com and Amazon. well.ca had a big jar of it available at a reasonable price, so bought it, even though the postage was $14!

Nancy, i used to use just regular Olay years ago, but need something more heavy duty these day, especially in winter with a wood stove!
