Happy Tuesday that feels like a Monday for some of us. We have our first blast of winter weather today and already we have a 90 min. delayed opening. I always whinge about them, the 90 mins throws me off entirely. And this one is harder, b/c my neighbor's son was not supposed to be over this morning, but she has jury duty and I don't know what time and how many kids I will have and for how long... gah.

I have to steam clean again, its been a while now that Harley isn't around to pee on the rugs anymore. I miss her still terrible, but I don't miss that aspect. Now if I could only find a way to keep the two male cats from peeing on it too. As long as I am b******* ;) Its so much harder to do stuff downstairs with Gary's "office" now being the LR. he used to have his computer upstairs but moved it downstairs and hooked it up to the TV to use as his monitor. But jeez, I can't even vacuum w/o being "in his way." Oh my dear ladies whose hubby's are retiring-- make sure they get out of the house on occasion or they will drive you mad!

Hi ladies....

I am already exhausted...:laugh:

But that would be because Jesse woke up at 5 am and did not go back to sleep...so I got up....but the fun part....I found that Jaiden had gotten up too....she was back in bed asleep, but I found the kitchen light on and she got a stool and got a container with some leftover pizza in it from the fridge.....FOUND THE PEPPERONIS IN THE FLOOR IN THE KIDS ROOM :nono: ...and I still have not found the container with the rest of the pizza....she was asleep....so I didn't wake her to look in her bed.... ~sigh~ I really am TOO DAMN OLD FOR THIS!!! but I suppose when I get my coffee in me I will be chuckling as I tell my Mom!!

We went to Chuck E Cheese yesterday....MISTAKE!!!!!! I seriously think every kid in the valley was there!!! It was TOOOOOO blooming cold to take the outside anywhere, and they were going house nuts, on the 4th day in a row at home...and of being so cold!!!

Crazy weather......it's been so cold for several days, but TODAY ONLY it's going to rise up to 63 degrees....and tomorrow drop back to high of 42 (which I will take because this is warmer than it has been_)....WHAT'S UP WITH THAT??? The sun only get permission to come out and play for ONE day this week??? GEEEZZZ!!!!

Alrighty.....I best get Jesse up....bus will be here in 45 minutes....but he is wide awake so he will jump right up!!
 
Oh Chris, I think that I was away when you lost Harley. So sorry about that. And I will come back and look at the link tonight for sure.

Nana Linda, you aren't too old. This is going to keep you young. (Can you tell that I have said this to myself mo than once?). Glad that you will be able to tell your mom the story as you drink your cup of coffee. And two more days, right?

Maureen, if you stop in today, still praying for your daughter.

Good Morning ladies! Still not 100%, but still better every day. Was a little tired yesterday, but feeling more rested this morning after a good nights sleep.

Chris - sorry about your loss, I too wasn't here when you lost Harvey, but I know how hard it is to loose a beloved pet. They become so much a part of the family. It turned cold here last night. After Spring like weather the last couple of weeks it is now getting down to freezing....no wonder everyone is getting sick.

Nana - Like Linda said it will keep you young.....or make you older before your time.....hee hee......seriously those little things, like the eaten pizza and missing box are what we can chuckle about later.....enjoy the rest of the day sweety!

Maureen - Praying for strength and peace for you and your family...((((((HUGS))))))

The thing is.......well.....I know that you are just a couple of years older than me and you are doing this SO AWESOMELY WELL!!!.....but I am a lot tireder (don't think that is a real word) than you...because A) I had babies and toddlers already...and B)....this is the important one....... I HAD TEENAGERS ALREADY!!!!...HOLY CRAP THEY DRAIN THE LIFE OUT OF YOU!!! So this just makes you too tired and old to do it AGAIN!! :der:

I'm sick - runny nose, sore throat, head ache.

Dad's back in hospital. (his heart is in a very bad condition, and drs keep telling him they're amazed he's still alive)

Hate this day! Back to the sofa - time to watch 10 Things I Hate about You.

Awwww Eva, take care of yourself.....eat some chicken soup, it always makes me feel better to eat it when I'm sick with a cold. So sorry to hear about your dad, just be there for him.
 
Morning from MO ladies!

Mid-January and we had temps in 60's yesterday!! Now that is my kind of January!! I keep waiting for the payback for this nice weather!!

Yesterday I met up with a friend for lunch. I drive an hour north and she drives an hour south and we met up for a long lunch and a couple of hours of chatting and laughing. Always good to spend some time with friends.

Chris-hope your day goes well and think'n about ya.

Nana Linda-You make me laugh..........Chuck E Cheese!!...........I can hear the noise in my head!!

Linda-Stay warm up there in Iowa, but do keep your snow up there!

Frani and Eva- Hope you both are feeling better soon.

Nana Linda. everything you say is true. going through all this ONCE is enough to totally take the wind out of anyone's sails, let alone twice. i miss seeing my Grandmen, but sometimes i think it's good that they're 5,000 miles away!

Frani, glad you're feeling better. a good night's sleep is magic.

Donna, i have an idea. you drive 8 hour East and i'll drive 8 hours West and we'll have coffee!

had bloodwork done this morning. i hate that fasting part. then my blood sugar keeps going up in the a.m. if i don't eat, so that by the time i'm at the lab getting blood drawn, my "fasting" blood sugar is 30 points higher than it was when i first got up. and the poor lab tech was in a horrible mood because the computer wouldn't accept his password. at one point he yelled "F*&%*!!!!!!!" then the poor guy was horrified that he had said that with a customer in the room. i just laughed and told him that he should hear ME when i'm at home....:yell:

dunno what i'm up to today. maybe i should try a new recipe for dinner. i keep cooking the same things over and over and over because i just don't feel like thinking about it. my poor hubby is pretty patient with that. he'll eat ANYTHING.

Dear Maureen, if you stop by, i am thinking about you and your family. i wish i could help.

Morning ladies... :smow: for us today, the first snowfall of the winter. It's supposed to get colder and more snow for the rest of the week, but I'm sure it won't stick around too long. Can't complain, its been a darn nice winter so far! Heard this morning on the news that another Canadian man was shot and killed in Mexico. I think maybe its a good place to not go on vacation this winter. We are thinking of a holiday, but not sure where we should go... it won't be Mexico!!

Chris - Sorry that you are still missing your Harley!! That article is very interesting and I truly believe in the power of positive thinking!! I am like you and perhaps see God in a different way than others, but truly believe that positive prayer and loving your fellow man is what its all about!!

Nana Linda - I hear ya on having to go through the teenage years again :fear: Mine were a handful but now that they are both past their twenties I love them again LOL.
Bet you had a headache after Chuck E Cheese, can't imagine what the noise level must have been like. But those babies are the luckiest kids in the world to have such a great Nana!! Hope you get the grease out of the sheets from the leftover pizza! (Not funny, but you will laugh later!!) :pound:

Phylis - Thats too funny about the lab tech!! I am bad for swearing at my computer also!! Hope you find a new recipe to try and it becomes a favorite!! Recipe.com is good site, but not sure if they have the type of recipes that you need?

Donna - How great that you got to see a good friend for lunch, it always lifts the spirit to talk with a wonderful buddy! Sounds like you are having a wonderful January, send some of that this way please!!

Hi ladies!!

You are all talking 'fahrenheit' tempratures? What is that in degrees Celcius? LOL
Today it was freezing, -4°c. GAH! I hate cold weather!

I had to take our youngest to the school to get her signed in. She's going to school in august! :cheer2: Can you tell I'm happy when that happens?

Usually I work on thursdays. But this thursday I have a day off. Actually I was planning on folding the laundry and vacuum clean the bedrooms. BUT... I'll try and do that tomorrow afternoon, so thursday I can have some ME-time. That would be: Bringing the oldest to school, dropping the youngest to daycare. And than It's me and the ebook, me and the O, me and scrapping!

Last week I started dieting. I lost 2kg :D I'm pretty happy about that :D I had 2 b-day parties at the weekend. The first, on saturday evening, I just asked some sprite to drink. And I didn't take any cake, and stuff that was on the table *proud*
And sunday it was my mom's b-day. I drank orange juice, and I took a few good things from the table. And still I was -2kg!
 
Chris, I can totally imagine how difficult it is to have DH office in your livingroom! When my DH is in the shed with his tools and man-toys, he is always annoyed when I have to do something there LOL

Donna, that is so much fun meeting up with somebody that you don't see often!!
I do that sometimes. I'll drive to my friend who lives in belgium. It's 1hr 30min. driving. She's got 4 kids, and no driverslicense, so for her it's a bit difficult to get out. Than I pack my stuff and I'm off, with our youngest :D
The last time I was almost at home, and she called my cellphone. When I was home I called her back, and I forgot my purse!! OMG! The most stupid thing to forget!! She mailed it to me! I was never that nervous about receiving a package LOL But I got it back safely :D

Trudy, where would you like to go on vacation? I always hear bad stuff about mexico on the tv. A friend of my sister is living there. My sister went on vacation to mexico with another friend. They visited the one that's living and working there. She said she liked it, but you definately need a good guide or people that you know!

Tomorrow morning I have to go to the doctor at the hospital with our youngest. She needs her eyes tested. At the babycentre the do the eye-check. The first time she said to all the things "Ranja" (sirup?)
Half year later we had to come back, and her right eye is not oke. At least at the baby centre it wasn't. She could say the little pictures from the upper 2 lines. The last 3 she said everything wrong. The left eye was oke. And they tested the right again, and again the last 3 lines she couldn't see.
So tomorrow we get a 'proffesional' checkup. I'm curious what they will tell us. And if she is whilling to cooperate with the doctors! LOL

LOL Nana you crack me up with your smileys!! Did I ever tell you girls how much I love having Tuesdays off? I have spent most of my day here at the "O" and scrapping, just did 2miles on the treadmill and got a parcel ready to mail to my daughter. Now I have to start ripping two fur coats apart to start 5 teddy bears that my SIL wants. Have 4 large rocks to paint as headstones for my sister's pet cemetary and two other painting projects for a girlfriend. Ok I need way more days off!! But I love Tuesdays cause its just me and no one else to worry about!!
