hey there and a big hellO to the Ooos! I hope everyone made it through Monday ok.
I did a lot of puttering around the house yesterday. Gary wasn't feeling well and slept most of the day on the sofa. With both kids at work, it was pretty quiet. You'd think I would have gotten a little more accomplished but nope.

I am not in a great mood today- not in a bad mood, just feeling a little cranky. Gary and I are going to the LLMD and I must be feeling a little stressed about that. I dreamed last night that she put me back on antibiotics. I really don't feel Lyme-y at all. I feel tired and achy but that is normal, especially this time of year. I guess I'll see soon enough. I am sitting with the light therapy lamp on right now, maybe that will help.

Well. I am just staring at the screen here, guess I don't have anything interesting to share (as if I ever really do haha!). I will post this and then get out of everyone's way.

Hugs and love!

@LSlycord Sounds like you kept yourself busy yesterday, I am sure that your house felt quiet. I saw the LO of Sydney and Shaun in the HAPS and omg, they were so little! Tomorrow is my Pay Bills day and I dread that, even with the COLA increase for Social Security, it is never enough. How did your phone call to SSA go?

@BrightEyes I wish it would be easier on the anniversary but I imagine that it doesn't get easier, only different. Hope that you can feel our hugs coming through to you

@taxed4ever Trudy, we have *missed* you!!! I hope that things have settled enough that you can come back more regularly, although from what it sounds like, "settled" is not even close.
How awful and sad that DILs dad went down a bad rabbit hole. It must be heartbreaking for her to see that. Is her mom in the picture, anyway someone can reach him at all? Once they can that far into the conspiracies, it's very difficult - it's like being in a cult and they need to be deprogrammed. :(
I am so happy that you have been scrapping and got your calendars done, I bet they look fantastic! What painting projects have you been working on?

@bcgal00 you must worry about Jen every time she has to make that trip to Vancouver. Although I was LMBO visualizing Bella not wanting to go. Poor baby girl
Good luck with your computer, hopefully, it just needs a "tune-up" but it doesn't sound like it. How old is it?

@Cherylndesigns Ugh, I hate days like that, fighting with computers and software and so on. So sorry that PSE died on you and that PS doesn't work well with your monitor. I have two monitors in my set up and I would have a really hard time if I had to go back to one. Thank goodness Gary keeps his eyes open on the Freecycle site and has picked up a bunch of them to store in the attic. When one of them dies, all he has to do s find a "new" one. HA! He found a 40" flatscreen TV on Sunday that Cait and Tom grabbed and put in the attic. It has one black line through the screen but you can barely see it. And yes, this is why ya can't find a darn thing in my attic *eye roll* :D
So there isn't any way to warp things in PSE? That stinks. If my PS CS5 ever dies on me I am going to have to get PSE and that is something I use a lot.

Anyway, now I am just rambling... it was better when I was staring at the screen bwahaha
HAGD!

Good morning. Didn't accomplish much yesterday. I did get Wordle done...had a terrible time with it! But Sydney insisted that I finish. So that's a fun connection. She FaceTimed with me while she made and ate lunch. Checked into make sure that I had fed the dogs...you can tell that she doesn't have any homework yet! LOL (And where is that LOL emoji?!!!)

I need to get my layouts updated in the Cheery-O thread. It doesn't take long for my good intentions to fall behind. I didn't leave the house at all yesterday. I did submit my resume for two jobs and I'll do more today. Brian said that he would go to the store today...and it is definitely his turn so that's what it has come to here.

Hayden whines constantly looking for Sydney. Yesterday Andie would not come downstairs until I opened the door to Syd's room to prove that she wasn't there.

The right whales have shown up with their babies. They were spotted yesterday. Their migration path is along the Atlantic coast about an hour from here. Tomorrow we will go look for them and then go to one of the restaurants where we can sit and look at the ocean. Or maybe, if we are really ambitious, we will set the alarm and go early so we can watch the sunrise as we drive down to the restaurant, eat breakfast and then go back and watch the whales.

Ok...I'll be back shortly for personals!

A fresh cup of coffee and I am ready to go.

@faerywings I didn't call Social Security yesterday. It is always a 45 minute wait on hold and then nothing really happens. I really need a high cycle day to accomplish that! Sorry that Gary isn't feeling well. And I sure hope that Lyme doctor doesn't find anything! Some days, not much gets done...no matter what!

@BrightEyes I hope that your daughter can visit and it would be wonderful if the visit coincided with your niece's visit. I'm sure that you would have so much to talk about. Hopefully you start feeling better soon.

@taxed4ever welcome back! I'm sorry that you had such a time with your in-laws this fall. But at least your SIL got moved so that was something significant that got accomplished! And sorry about your DIL's father...I'm sure that was stressful. Plus their trip home sounds like a mess...air travel is not much fun any more. We still talk about moving...but can't leave Florida until Syd graduates. It would cost about $20,000 more per year for tuition. But do we want to live somewhere else in Florida? Maybe. Who knows. I don't think there will be a move in the new future, but never say never. Love the new siggie! I've been talking about getting mine changed for about 2 weeks. Maybe today!

@bcgal00 that weather for Jen's drive sounds pretty awful. Glad that she has Bella for company, even if Bella didn't think much of the idea! How long is the drive to Vancouver in good weather? Ugh on the computer...never a fun investment.

@Cherylndesigns I'm sorry about the PSE troubles. I use PS on a laptop and I really do feel like I need a second monitor for it. But I don't really want to be tied to my desk. It really is no fun when things aren't working! And it feels so unproductive. Hopefully today is back to normal for you!

Have a good all!

Morning, all. No brown-bag lunch with the gals today. A vicious headache started yesterday afternoon along with chills. Took my temp but it was on the low side 97.1*. Called the hostess to let her know I wouldn't be coming. Another restless night - hot and cold - but I did sleep in until after 7AM. Still have a slight headache and feeling tired so plan on resting today. Knew I was not well when a bowl of instant oatmeal with cranrasisins for supper was all I wanted. Hate when I am sick and I hate missing lunch with the gals.

Morning ladies... I can't be long in here this morning as SIL Linda is picking me up in an hour to go look for new countertop material for her new place. She sure is spending the money fixing up this place, but it sure is a cute little spot with an amazing view!! She has great taste in decorating and its fun spending someone else's money LOL. So I still need to dry my hair and get some makeup slapped on before she arrives. I managed to get my new siggie done yesterday and started on a layout which I hope to finish this afternoon.

@faerywings - sorry you are feeling cranky today! I totally get it!! I need to get some sunlight as I can feel the grey weather blues coming on too. Good luck with your appointment today! It sounds like you are still lyme free and I will keep my fingers crossed that is the case! I haven't been painting to much, but need to get going on a commission piece for Linda's boyfriend, its a big undertaking and I really have to get going with it! I have been making some junk journals, one for my sister Wendy for her birthday that I will give her on Thursday and I have been busy with making cards too. My calendar turned out great this year and it was my stress reliever during this fall/winter. I just worked on it when I could with no pressure to get it done and it was very enjoyable for a change. Yes poor Jackie (DIL) her Dad has gone down a dark path and they don't know what to do to help. Yes her Mother is in the picture, but she never really talked to me about her, although I am sure she is very upset with what took place on this visit. My son says he will never go there again and Jackie left in tears, swearing the same thing. Uggh!!! What a mess!!

@LSlycord - Wow can't say I blame you for not moving if its going to cost that much more on tuition!! It sounds like you live in a beautiful spot, so why would you want to leave? Right?! I hope you get to see the whales today and that you get to enjoy some time on the beach it sounds like a great way to spend the day! That is so cute about how the dogs are missing Syd so much, hope that they will be ok! Hope you get to work on your new siggie today, soon it will be time to do a spring one, the days seem to fly by don't they??

@BrightEyes - Kay that is awful that you are not feeling well! I sure hope it passes quickly! Take care of yourself and stay nice and warm. Sending you healing vibes!

Ok I better skedaddle, SIL Linda is always early. Have a lovely day everyone!

Good morning ladies. Remi had me up at 7. She's not feeling well this morning. I can hear her stomach gurgling and she crawled up into D's chair with her morning whimzee chew but isn't eating it, just keeping it close to her (so Taz can't take it LOL).

Jen made it thru the mountain pass slowly and into Vancouver yesterday. Normally the drive is about 4 hrs. During the winter the mountain pass area is often difficult to get thru with whiteouts, freezing, avalanches, and in the spring, mud slides. They say that the abnormal weather conditions this fall/winter have made the area more unstable than in 20 years.

Not much going on today, scrapping and reading this morning. I miss reading and am making an effort to get back into it. The computer is like a black hole that sucks me in and I can be on it for hours and just browse aimlessly. So now I am getting off the computer more each day. We finished American Horror Story and it wasn't one of my faves but I didn't hate it. Tonight we'll binge The Man Who Fell To Earth (sci-fi).

@faerywings my computer has been serviced a few times, its about 6 yrs old which is ancient. It was well made and has a solid state hard drive but I think the components are getting too outdated and the driver is old. So, I think at some point over this year it might start getting glitchy and isn't worth fixing anymore. Hope that G feels better soon and your mood picks up.

@LSlycord Your life on the east coast sounds so wonderful.

@BrightEyes Relax today and hope you feel better.

I'm getting more coffee now and getting out to feed the birds. HAGD everyone.

Hello. Good to be back. I've been moving home, several hours drive up the island closer to the sun and closer to my parents. I'd forgotten how exhausting moving is (don't know how I forget, I've done it 30+ times!). Much of our stuff either didn't come with us, didn't fit in the new place or (like my work desk!) broke en route so it's been a stretch of shopping, waiting for deliveries and putting together furniture. So glad to be back into a proper work routine next week. ;)

Good afternoon.

I didn't sleep well last night and had the craziest dreams - I know it was because I fell down the computer rabbit hole yesterday. UGH - even my mouse "died". I thought it did, but after playing around with it, and putting two new batteries in it and checking it on Chuck's laptop, it revived. I thought "this is all I need" after all the other insanity. It was about 5 o'clock and I wasn't looking forward to a trip into town to get a new one.

Chris, I think there's a way to warp in PSE - but it's pretty darned complicated. There are warping styles, but you have to put "pins" in them. I have the patience of a gnat, remember? I guess PSE 2023 has that warping feature and that's the one I want. Right now, the free month trial is for 2022, so I'll use that for a month, then decide. Downloading 2023 involves lots of making sure you have enough memory and whether you have a 32 or 64 bit (it looks like I have 64). My brain was so fried by that time, that I took the easy way out. I'll figure out what to do from here, but the newest versions weren't offered free for a month. I'm a little tight on money right now and putting it off for a month seemed like the perfect solution. LOL There are warping styles, but again, they're complicated. I've also read some negative things about PSE 24 - I don't think they have the bugs worked out yet. 23 is the version that included warping. You're lucky that you have the big monitors and that Gary knows how to hook you up. I told Chuck this am that next time I'll probably get a desktop and a big monitor. I'll always keep a laptop just in case I need to be portable, as in visiting anybody, which I don't do much of anymore, anyway.

Linda @LSlycord I;ll bet your house IS quiet, poor pup, walking around looking for Syd. They're so sweet - we kept Bailee the other night and about the time Ava was heading thome o get her, she started getting restless and whining at the door.

What size is your laptop monitor? I had a 17 ince a few years ago, then sized down when I was traveling and toting it all the time. Maybe a bigger screen would take care of my "size problem" in PS.

Trudy @taxed4ever good to see you popping back in. We've missed you. What a trip about your SIL's dad (I hope I got this right) - there are people who really do believe that. I don't know what they think they can single-handedly do about it, but it makes them feel better, I guess. Glad to hear that you're helping your SIL spend her money - I love spending other people's money, too. LOL Sorry about the in-laws - and your FIL's decline.

Lynn @Lynn Grieveson glad to see you popping in, too and hope you're getting settles. You've had a busy time in your life, too.

I got one pre-release done yesterday (after I finally got everything up and running). Hopefully, I can accomplish a few things today.

Hugs to everybody and have a good Tuesday.

Chris @faerywings good luck at the doctor today.

@Cherylndesigns I can vouch for the bigger monitor vs laptop monitor. I like the bigger monitor b/c I can see the layout in real size and there is more room to spread out if you use two monitors. You can hook up a monitor to your laptop which is another option.

Thanks, Rae! I've also been thinking about getting a larger monitor and just hooking it up to my laptop. I've got to do something if I'm going to use PSCC - it's just too hard for me to see those small icons. I even enlarged them, and they're still too small. I really might consider getting another monitor!

I don't scrap on it b/c its not updated/new enough but I have a laptop with a 14" screen but I have a 22" monitor hooked up to it that makes it much easier to read. If I was able to scrap on this laptop, what I would do is put my PS canvas on the big screen with my styles, actions, etc on the smaller screen.

I'm going to need all the help I can get if I do get a bigger monitor. I've never had two before and have no idea how to navigate them. I'm seriously thinking about getting a bigger one - it will make for a crowded desk, but I think I need a big screen.
