It is %^$&*$#()(#@ snowing again AND we are supposed to be getting more snow on Friday AND on Sunday. This has gotta stop! I told Gary that I love him inversely as much as I hate snow. The only good thing that I can say about it is at least my family is all stuck at home anyway because of COVID. Caitlyn doesn't have to drive to school, Scott is unemployed, I am not able to work- see, these are the "good" things at this point. *chuckles dryly*
The forecast today is for 4-6" inches so nothing horrible but it just keeps adding up. Blergh. Heh- reading yesterday's post, I see that Gary said we were in the 8-12" range and I doubt that's going to happen, so WHEW!!!
Yesterday was another day of big ol' nuthin happening. I got some housework done, started my physical therapy exercises again, I couldn't deal with them last week. It was odd lying on the floor and not having Ray next to me. :( I missed her a lot yesterday. But J and W slept next to me last night and that was a nice thing.

I started a scrap page and will work on that today. I am so far behind on making pages for Christopher's album which needs to be done by early April. I have maybe 6 pages done out of 20. Yikes. This one is of him and my SIL on a hike last month.
The other big thing for today is to figure WTH to make for dinner. Because my order got screwed up last week, I am running out of "real food" even though I have plenty of canned soups and side dishes.

Wishing everyone a wonderful day! xoxo

@nancyr I bet you had a nice time scrapping and watching hockey yesterday. I wish I could scrap as fast as you do and still make my pages look as good as yours do. It doesn't surprise me at all that we have more snow this year than the previous two combined. And to think we still have another month and a half of official winter. Argh!
Scott said that Leah is doing a bit better again, not sure when he will be able to visit her. She gets the splints out of her nose on Thursday and she is looking forward to being able to breathe out of it again.
Your son is mean! LOL Bet his house really smelled wonderful.

@taxed4ever You are one brave lady and a good SIL to walk with Linda, did your Raynaud's give you issues or were you able to stay warm enough? I have no idea why they had people at the Super Bowl at all- makes no sense to me. Even though it is outdoors, what about in the concessions and bathrooms? People paid $100 to have their cardboard selves there too?? What??? I would feed my family for a week with that. SMH!
Hope that Heather had a relaxing and quiet day with the kids at school.

@bcgal00 Bwuahhahah!! Oh my goodness, I wish I could have seen Bella not wanting to pee in the snow! I wish I could remember which dog it was but one of them ( I think it was jaida) didn't want to put her feet in the snow and would pick them up like she was a show horse. I had a scare with J this morning, when I hooked her collar to the lead, it was frozen open slightly and slipped off of her collar without me noticing. It was 5.30 am, pitch dark and snowing, in my defense Ha! Thank goodness she didn't run off.
That is a relief to hear about B, I hope that she improves a bit once Jen is able to visit with her more regularly.

@BrightEyes Yay for being able to change the sheets, I know how hard it is to rely on other people for things when your brain is saying that you are quite capable to do them otherwise. How awesome that you and DD#1 had some time together to visit. You must miss the family a lot. And for her to bring food-- bonus!

@felis- PLEASE take the snow from me- *goes to my front yard, blows air and waves arms in the direction from my house to yours* I don't want to think about the mud and dog poop under the snow. Sorry that you have to deal with muddy paws but they are worth it :)
I love your new organization plan. I live for my to-do lists and planner. I wish I had the creativity to create and use a bullet journal. Caitlyn's always made such nice ones. Aww, you are sweet- Scott is such a good guy and it means a lot when others see it too. Not that he isn't a pain in the butt too but overall, he is a sweetie. Thank you for the hugs. The vet called yesterday that her pawprint is ready to be picked up. I am not sure if they do this by you or not, but when you have your pet cremated, they will make an imprint of their paw and name. Caitlyn and I were looking at the shelf we keep them on the other day and we are gonna need a bigger shelf. :/

@LSlycord If you are here before I am-- feel free to open the thread, you know I have no issues with that at all- this thread belongs to all of us, not me.
PS: Yes, it is Tuesday! :p

good morning - we have clouds but so far no rain or snow. It is cold still below freezing. Feel like the heat is on non-stop. No walk yesterday it was windy and cold and I just wimped out. Made a delish dinner and it was easy and less than 30 min from start to eat! That is the best part. It was shocking the sauce was mayo and honey and chipotle paste. It was astonishingly good. I would never think to put mayo and honey together. Got one scrap page done and most of a second. And there was hockey. Heard from my youngest son and his MG had her follow up and she is healthy and cancer free. What a relief! They are so happy! My second fav team is the AZ Coyotes and they are playing the St. Louis Blues 6 games in a row because the teams they were to play are on Covid lockdown. Last night the Coyotes were trailing 3-2 and in the final seconds and tied the game and won in a shoot out. It was super exciting. It is such a strange season with teams not playing and others playing the same team for so many games in row.

@faerywings sorry about the snow! as I said nothing for us yet but I do hear that more Friday and Sunday. Good luck with the food order. I bet your nephew's new book will be different this year as everything was so different. I doubt he will care if it is not 20 pages long - he will be just be happy with what he gets. Chris Florida is different in how they ask their residents to think about Covid. Not surprising so many are not respecting the CDC guidelines.

@taxed4ever good for you going on the walk. I am going out today! Glad Heather got to have some mommy alone time. Everyone needs it.

@bcgal00 I still like your Christmas avatar! That is funny about Bella and the snow. Poor Luther could not find a place to poop as the snow was up to his belly so my DH had to shovel in the back yard . Poor pets. In fact a lot of people are have to shovel close to their fences so the dogs cant jump over the fence. Good that Jen and B are doing better. Must make you feel good but sad to have them move.

@BrightEyes I am so glad the finger has healed so much you can do more! Congrats and see family again! It has to be so good to talk in person.

@felis I guess you have to look and the muddy paws and say that this rains will bring lots of veggies and flowers come spring and summer. We are going to get that mess as soon as our temps rise and this snow starts to melt.

Waving to all!

Good late morning! It is so chilly here today again and I have had to thaw the hummingbird feeder twice already. Poor little birds! Yesterday's walk with SIL was very nice! I took her to the waterfall that is near where we live. She could not believe we had such a sweet trail and beautiful waterfall so close to our house. Who knew LOL. Today is swimming and hopefully the water will be nice a warm. The worst part is getting out and having to quickly dry off and dress without a nice warm shower, but at least I do not live far from the pool and I can get home and into the nice hot shower to wash off the chlorine. So a do nothing afternoon and I hope to get going on another page. I keep saying that but then something always grabs my attention and I am off doing something else. I can waste time like nobody's business ;). Taco Tuesday for Gary and I tonight, so it will be an easy peasy meal for supper.

@faerywings - I can just picture you rolling around on the floor having a tantrum just like Hunter used to do LOL. If things did not go his way he would just throw himself to the floor and howl  Hope you manage to get some pages done for Christopher's Book, but like Nancy says I bet he would be happy with whatever he gets! Poor Leah she must be so uncomfortable, sure hope she is feeling better every day!

@nancyr - Wow you have that much snow that you have to dig a spot for Luther to poop??? That is crazy! Your meal last night sounds delicious!! What wonderful news about your son's MG! That must be such a relief for them! Sounds like you are enjoying all the hockey! Yup it sure is a different year for this sport! I talked with Heather and Hunter this morning and she even sounded more rested having the day all to herself. She said she cleaned all day long, but that was ok, there was no one underfoot or anyone to cook for LOL.

Well I am off to get my bag packed for swimming and wishing all of you a very lovely day! Stay safe, keep warm! (darn i am missing my wave smiley :()

Good morning ladies. Cold but clear skies here today. I'm heading out soon to run errands and take Taz to the pet store for his treats, he loves to roam the aisles and say hi to everyone. Never did get my avatar changed yesterday but sometime this wk I will.

@faerywings Good thing J didn't run off in the dark...whew.
@nancyr I love my avi too but it is time for a change :) Never thought about snow near a fence and jumping dogs. Lucky for us, Taz is not a jumper so we never have to worry about that.
@taxed4ever Trudy, you should look into getting a hummer warmer. Ours keeps the feeder just warm enough that it never freezes. It is a cup attached with stretchy hooks with a small bulb (the kind they put in the Xmas village houses). Works like a charm. Have a good swim.

Have a good day everyone. I'd better get some work done before heading out.

Good evening ladies. So I didn't make it in yesterday for any personals. In my real life, I am a project manager and we have a huge software implementation coming up this weekend so things are a little bit crazy right now. Then I was trying to figure out how to get Shaun's application for college submitted and I couldn't get it to work. I was so frustrated. I called over there today and they said it isn't open yet. Although I had their paperwork in front of me that said it opened in January...and I thought we were late.

And Sydney sent a request for an appointment. Since she will be full time dual enrolled, she needs to meet with a counselor to figure out her courses. She is freaking out because she could potentially be at the 30 hour mark by the end of this school year (AP courses) and will need to declare a major. She doesn't know what she wants to do and is such a perfectionist that she is determined to not switch majors…even though I’ve told her about how many times I switched majors and it worked out ok.

Although the first 61 years of my life I lived in the land of snow, I just can't get my head around all of the snow and cold that you are all dealing with. NE Florida has been chillier this year than last, and I guess it is unseasonably so. Today we got lots of rain and it has been cloudy and gloomy all day with a high of 66. Tomorrow is predicted to hit a high of 74. For early February, that's pretty sweet.

@faerywings I thought that I saw a scrapbook page of Christopher...at Christmas time. How old is he now? He looks so grown up.

@nancyr glad that you have hockey. Everything has been so strange this year. I was glad to get the Super Bowl in, even if it was a little different. I've been a Chiefs fan for 50+ years. When we lived in KC we had season tickets. The Chiefs didn't get it done...but I was happy for Tom Brady and the Bucs.

@taxed4ever I loved that page you made. The scenery there is just gorgeous. Where do you swim? It has been too cold to swim in the backyard but I'm hoping in another 4 weeks, we will be ready to get back into the pool. I love having a place in the backyard where I can do water aerobics.

@bcgal00 Good evening Rae. Your dog sounds like a sweetie.

Hello ladies!
I was out for shopping for first time this year and it was strange and stressful. I can't believe that the darn thing is still factor! Friends of mine was post meme "Do you remember how last March we was thinking that the situation will goes back to normal for 3 months?" lol :D. Of course I'm not had any illusion, as the local experts was clearly say that we will need 3 years not 3 months, but like most people here I'm tired and piss off. The most trendy thing in my country now are illegal parties. Big hit for the news is to catch inside info for some and to bring there the police, the TV channels race who will have one in their daily emissions. Everybody are thirsty for social life, so I totally can understand these Super Bowl fans for which you was talking about. Did you saw the new trend at the music gigs that Miley Cyrus present? It's so futuristic.
_116656254_bubble.jpg
I miss the live music so much! But even before I'm always hate the crowd and I preferred the small intimate club gigs instead of concerts.
But I completely deviate from the beginning topic! I was out to buy some of our traditional March's bracelets amolete and to the post office for my sister, to send the letter. Unfortunately so early there is not small ladies stalls and I had to buy from the hypermarket, which isn't good non for the small business or for the traditional spirit. But I'm not even sure do these stalls will receive permission this year at all. It is what it is.

Chris, I can't believe that I forgot to tells you yesterday how happy and thrilled I am that you are liked Carla's Insta! As at the day I was read only the answers for me and then when I sit to write - the whole posts, somehow I was distracted by your family's charm! Sorry that Gary turns to be fortune teller and you got more snow! I will gladly take it! Did Cait drawing the pages or decorated somehow her bullet journal? I watched few tutorials about drawing page around for better motivation, as when is pretty it's gives you more dopamine when you are able to cross off some of the points. I know here have few kits for that too, but I don't have where to print the pages.
No when you have your pet cremated here, you not receive anything, not even a small urn with dust to can scatter it away. I have maybe one or two favorite toys keeped up during the years. Most are reused if they are able to be if they are from materials who allow to be sterilized. Wow, it's painful even to talk about that.

Nancy, your diner sounds delicious. Such a wonderful news about your son's girlfriend!

Trudy, enjoy your swim! Oh, yes you lives on such a wonderful place I'm not surprised that hiking group miss you so much!

Rae, have fun on the shopping!

Linda, I'm night owl and because of the time zone difference I usually post at the early morning, so for me is the next day already. But it really doesn't matter when you post. You can tell 'today' or 'yesterday' depends on how you liked it more. When I say 'today' I mean the day mentioned at the topic headline, not the day in which I'm already are, but it not make big difference for the story I have to share.
WOW, you have to deal with lots of schedule and appointments right now! Hope that you'll be able to make everything comes easy!

Hello all! Sorry I didn't make it to the personals yesterday. Lots of family stuff going on and I spend half my days waiting on my slow hotspot and then have to get in the car and drive someplace else if I have to download anything. SO over this!

Hope everybody is well except for the snow and cold. I'll try to do personals tomorrow if I don't have to go out and download anything. I've been able to go to my daughter's house to download my files, but her internet has been down. Yesterday, I had to drive to a restaurant down the road and sit in their parking lot. That's pretty sad in 2021! They keep telling us that the internet is coming, but I'm getting very aggravated with this situation. It isn't fun!

@Cherylndesigns that internet stuff would be making me crazy! I looked at your house pictures the other day and it is beautiful. Did you live nearby and decide it was time to build your dream home?

Oh @felis , it does seem like it will be a very long time before we get back to normal. I am old enough to vividly remember before 9/11 and what travel was like. We got back to a ”new normal” but not the old. I think that this may be the same.

I wish that I could have all of you ladies here for morning coffee with me. It is 59 degrees and no wind. We do have fog which makes the trees behind the house look so pretty. It is the first morning in weeks where I haven’t needed a sweater to enjoy my coffee on the screened lanai. I have the pool lights on and it is so peaceful.

i will be back later to check on everyone.
