Ugh, groan and grumble.
My body does not like these barometric pressure drops. I hurt all over. There is some snow falling but hopefully it isn't going to amount to much. I guess it is a good thing that I don't have to actually be anywhere today. This is really getting old- so done with the "not working BS." Hmmmph!

Yesterday the windshield repair people came back to look at the windshield that was installed last week. The people did a crap job and there are leaks in the seals. Of course they have to order the glass and seals and will be back tomorrow to replace the whole darn thing again. Thankfully, it is all covered under the one insurance deductible, so there is *that.*

Gary and I did some updates on our taxes- well, Scott's taxes and he will get a small refund of what he had deducted from working. We told him to put it away for when he needs new brakes or whatever for his car. Scott was asking about how much money we have saved (hysterical laughter, saved! As if!!) and was shocked to hear that he has more than we do. i felt like a total failure as a parent, not that he meant it that way at all, but none of this was in my Life's Plan. Is it ever in anyone's?

I saw online an article about a new species of the Borellia bacterium found in ticks that causes the main symptoms to be nausea and vomiting as opposed to musculo-skeletal. That describes Gary's - and to a lesser extent, Cait's- to a T. Of course the infected ticks are "only" found in the Midwest, just like Bb is only found in CT, so there is no way that Gary could have that species. /snark

Either way, I am going to ask both the kids' LLMD and mine about the possibilities of that being an issue for them.

Not much else going on here, prepping for food shopping is my priority for today. Cursing snow/cold weather. Wandering from room to room, wondering WTH I was looking for. Same old, same old.

Please have a good day and send some good vibes my way so I don't get too down and discouraged. :)

OMG!!!!!! I forgot about this, to make you laugh- this needs a Spit Warning.

Go ahead, swallow your coffee/tea/water/Crystal Light, then click the link:

Cait said that we had to watch the Tator Tots dog on YouTube last night. This video came up next, so we watched it, and I was laughing so hard my stomach was killing me! It has to be one of the funniest things I have ever seen. If you watch it, let me know which one was your favorite. I loved the pug, and the yellow lab with the treat, that face!!!

Enjoy!!!

Nancy- I only watched a very small part of the Super Bowl and Gary liked the Doritos commercial, which I thought was Meh. Saw the creepy baby one- Mt Dew? which will give me nightmares for sure. I loved Lady Gaga- I am not really a fan of her music, but wow, her voice is truly amazing. One of the best Anthems I have heard.
Enjoy your Martin Brodeur festivities!!!
Love that your son and GF exchanged photo gifts :)

Trudy- hoping that you aren't too stiff and sore. Will your Gary be able to get his x-ray done today?

Rae- Ugh about the laptop. Didn't you just get it fixed or was that your EHD? Either way, it never ends, eh?
It seems so odd to hear about a BBQ in Feb. hope that you all had a great time. I saw your challenge and it will make me "happy" (heheh!) to do it!

Hugs and love!

good morning - OMgosh this is the 3rd time for having a dentist appointment and the second time it has snowed. Last week it was cancelled but today I am going no matter what. It is really only a dusting but it is still slippery as the temp is 28 F. Last night they unveiled the statue calling it "the Salute" It looks like him so that is good. There was a huge turnout for the festivities. They even showed the Devils/Rangers game on the screens and my team looked terrible until the final 5 min of the 3rd period and they lost 2-1. Oh well hoped they saved the best until tonight. Going to pass on personals as I am off to dentist.
Have a great day all!

Good morning, ladies. I'm going to be really busy today (one client sent a ton of backlog files to me over the wkend to do on top of what I'll get today) so I'm prepared for a 12 hour workday today. I'll take a five minute break here and there but I'll just keep working as steady as I can b/c the sooner I get it done, the earlier I can finish. I really don't want to work after dinner so my nose will be to the grindstone today.

Yesterday the weather was beautiful (sunny, about 65) and today is supposed to be a bit warmer. The rain will be back by the end of the week though.

The dip I made for the Super Bowl party (Queso Fundido) was really good. I heated it up and had a bit last night as I watched X-Files and Scorpion after getting back from the BBQ.

Chris - I've had my share of computer problems lately. The laptop I started having problems with in the summer, the period key doesn't work so I have to use the side key for the period in the numbers panel. The USB ports are acting up, 2 won't work now, photoshop is getting glitchy on it. I uninstalled Lightroom on it b/c it was just taking too long to bring up the images in it. I have no idea what's really wrong and if it'll be worth fixing but I hope it'll be cheaper than buying new b/c I can't really afford new right now, especially since the PC HD needs to be fixed too. You are right....it's always something. I watched the dog vids....too funny! I loved them all but laughed especially loud at the dog with the tennis ball on the couch that was just out of his reach and then when he got it he couldn't get his teeth into it so he ended up pushing it too far away away again. Also loved the dog with the slide. But, really....they are all so funny.

Nancy - Glad the weather is better so you can get to the dentist. That reminds me that I have a visit coming up in a few weeks too. I better check my appt card (I hate going to the dentist, I have sensitive teeth and I always get a headache afterwards).

Have a great day, ladies...gotta get going. And Chris....TY if you can get a page done. 52 Inspirations has always been a fave of mine. I've got 4 yrs of them. I purchased this years thinking that as a CT I shouldn't be downloading them all but Vicki saw that I did that and refunded me, saying no, I was not to pay for them. She is just the best, isn't she? That was so nice of her. Hopefully my challenge will get others to try the inspirations out and like them too. I think they get overlooked a lot b/c people don't realize how good a value they are. (So ya, you can see I'm a fan of them LOL).

Ok, gotta go. Have a wonderful day, ladies!

Morning ladies... another gorgeous day here, but like Rae says it is supposed to be back to the rain by the end of the week :pout: Well we survived the first day of wood splitting and really not too sore from it. I was in one of four wheeling the loads of wood to the storage area and helping to stack it, while DH was busy using the wood splitter and everyone helped out filling the wheel barrows. There were 7 of us so it went pretty quickly aside from the wood splitter breaking down and a few other rests during the day for water and of course lunch. It was sad to see the beautiful Maples all chopped down, but we are told that they will sprout new branches and supply wonderful shade again in a few years. Hopefully MIL and FIL will still have the property then! I will post some pics of the before and after soon. It couldn't have been a more beautiful day for doing all that work, the lake was like a mirror and one couldn't help but stop and just admire the view while we were so busy! I put on over 17,000 steps just with the wheel barrow yesterday. Whew!! LOL

Chris - OMG I was killing myself laughing at those poor dogs!! Makes you wonder if some of them didn't have vision problems!! Too freaking funny!!! I can't decide which one I love the best the dog trying to get up the slide or the corgi that does a head dive into the sand!! They are all hilarious!! Nice to hear that Scott will be getting a tax refund. You should never feel like you are a failure at being a parent OMG you are an amazing mom and your kids have both proved that to you over and over again! Yes my Gary is going to have his x-ray done after work today, he is still mad that he couldn't get it earlier, but I told him to let it go :becky:

Nancy - I have to cancel a dentist appt today, I just got the notice that my appt is on the 1st of March and I won't be back from watching the grands until the 2nd. Oh darn lol I hate going to the dentist!! Hope your check up goes well!

Rae - I saw that you were doing the 52 Inspirations challenge, how great!! What a wonderful idea to introduce everyone once again on what a great value these are! Vicki really is an amazing lady isn't she!! I will definitely look at doing a page for this too!! Hope you can get your work done fast and efficiently and perhaps have some scrapping time today also!!

Ok I am off for a walk in the sunshine, no swimming for me today, its too nice outside and the pool will be full of people who did not make it to exercise because of family day yesterday. Have a wonderful Tuesday everyone!!

Everything here is coated in snow with more falling, but the really cold temps coming are what I like least. Taught a 3-hour genealogy class on Saturday that had me a bit out of it beforehand, now getting sort of back to normal.

Chris - good vibes wished your way!!!!! :pupkiss: Thanks for the video. In the beginning I was just feeling sorry for the dogs, but then I couldn't not laugh as it got funnier and funnier. Poor dears.

Mostly watched the Super Bowl with DH, thought most ads lame but loved Lady Gaga's National Anthem, the one thing I HAD to see.

Rae, are you finding the X-Files a little strange? Oh well, I still have to watch them. Next Monday they're up against the Grammys which I also want to see. Lady G's doing a David Bowie tribute. Sure hope you can get some relief with the laptop problems.

Nancy, hope your weather stays tame and the dentist is OK.

Trudy, glad someone has a lovely day. Hope it is all good.

Hi Jean...good to see you here. I know what you mean, you almost feel sorry for the dogs but then you start laughing at them LOL.

Trudy - Thx for offering to make a page. I had mentioned to Vicki back when I first started CTing that if she needed any help with the inspirations I would be happy to help as I love them and use them all the time. So I was thrilled when she contacted me last week and asked if I'd like to do the designer challenge. This won't take away from doing my other challenges though, it's easy enough for me to do both. I hope it goes well.

So, work isn't quite as bad today as I was expected but is still busy enough....so back to work I go. Bye for now ladies!
