Happy Tuesday everyone. How are you today? Not much going on here at all. Same old same old. My life is so boring hahaha!!!

I wasn't very successful in my housework vacationing yesterday. I felt like I had worked a lot before I even left for work. It was really nice not having to make dinner but I feltlike I had to butt in a bit too much. Cait made a very yummy jalapeno and chedder soup and Gary made homemade guacamole. But listening to the two of them trying to find stuff in the kitchen made my head spin a bit. Then when I tried to help them find stuff, I got yelled at.

The other part of my day was that I am caving, and called the eye dr to try out a pair of multi-focal contact lenses. I don't remember if I mentioned here that I was having issues with the new Rx, but I know I did ask about people with them on FB. Its been 3 weeks and I just cannot get used to the stronger distance Rx and using readers. I am literally getting dizzy and vertigo and I am dropping things more than usual b/c I can't see. I will wear an contact Rx for 2 years and I can't see spending the money of I am going to hate them. SO I have an appt to try out the multi-focal lenses next week. They are a little more expensive which is why I have been so hesitant but I guess if they work, what can you do? Its about time I get what I need rather then put myself off all of thetime. Next splurge: I haven't had my hair cut or colored since last MAY!!! That needs to be fixed!!!!

Hope that all of you have a great day planned.

Tip on Tuesday:
I do have a tip for al of you today. Not that any of you are truly interested in my hemorrhoids, but I found a trick that helped. Apple Cider vinegar. Takes away the pain/itch almost immediately! Reviews also say that it helps the swelling so my fingers are crossed that soon, I'll be sitting pretty.:D

(sorry for TMI! LOL)

xoxoxo!!

Oh Phyllis, that sucks. We have just been getting an inch or so and that is bad enough. You are getting dumped on. :( How did you do getting to the dr? My next profession: forecaster. The only job where you can be wrong most of the time and not get fired.

Laurie-- oh my-- what else can you add to your workout? You are amazing to me!!!

Trudy- I was thinking about doing a page using the woman from Andrea's Dark Season kit, but your take on the challenge seems like a lot more fun. The LOs being done are awesome, aren't they?
I remember being so nervous when I was pg with Scott too.But I blame most of it now on those damn What to Expect When you are Expecting books. They made me obsessive and not in a good way. I think Lamaze would be a great idea, even if to just help her feel more in control.

Nana- oh boooooo!!! Sorry you didn't get your dinner out, but I would have done the same thing. And you mom-- she sounds exactly like my mom! Worries more about me and the kids then herself. Have "fun" cleaning your kicthen..... :D

Terry- ahhh! I am so glad that your son is ok and that he was not involved. But what a rough lesson to learn.:(
heh! Kids these days-- no concept on how much things cost. Same with my two. I hope that the insurance gets him enough to get a decently comparable car.
Re: Birth other--maybe he is just not ready? But it is a testament to the relationship he has with you that he has no connection to her. Like he said, he has parents which has to feel good. :)
Enjoy your beautiful weather (grumble grumble)

hugs!

Chris, glad that you are going to check into new glasses. I'm not crazy about wearing glasses all of the time but it is easier in the long run.

Sorry about dinner Linda. Glad that you at least got some time to visit with Mike. And your parents rock...which might be why you rock. ;-

Laurie, did you get your second workout in? You go girl! My goal on vacation is to get into the habit of long walks. I figure it is easier to start those along the boardwalk on the ocean than on the treadmill at home. And after 11 days of those, hopefully I will feel more like doing it on the treadmill when I get home. (And spring will be around the corner, right?)

Terry, so glad that your son wasn't injured.

Phylis, I swear that the weather is a complete crapshoot. Unless of course it is Hawaii, then it is always 79 or 80. That is where I would want to be a weatherman.

Trudy, I hope your daughter can get over some of the stress of waiting for the baby. I was terribly stressed and I wasn't even delivering my two.

Have a good day all.

another day. another dollar. My mother used to say that when I was a kid. Hated that expression but now I sure understand it!

Yesterday I spent working with our insurance company and started looking for a truck for my car. I was enlightened yesterday about insurance. Guess you could say I am insurance impaired---I just pay for what our agent recommends. So here's the scoop---the damage to the car can be filed with the insurance company of the driver. So--we can look to my son's friend's insurance for the replacement of the car. All other damage stays with the car. Which means---the damage to the guard rail and all the medical expenses for the one with the broken neck is filed against my insurance since I am the owner of the car. Which also means---my car insurance premiums are going to sky rocket! Plus-if the expenses are in excess of the limits on my insurance, I am personally responsible for the remainder. Not good.

Also found out that my son will not qualify for a loan since he has no credit. He will need a cosigner--if you cosign your name is on the title, which means the car goes on my insurance. Not gonna happen. After this incident--I don't want my son on our insurance any longer. So--it looks like we are going to have to pay cash for a car and the kid pay us back or we could put up the cash at the bank to back a loan and he pay the loan.

Lesson learned---don't trust your kid when you tell them "don't let anyone drive your car."

I really need to get some work done today. I sort of didn't work much yesterday since I was taking care of insurance stuff.

Hubby's back is bothering him again. Can barely move. He is a grump. So much of a grump I told him this morning to straighten up his attitude or go stay in our RV!

Chris--glad you are getting your hair done. It's always nice to splurge on yourself. Also, who would have thought about apple cider vinegar. Let us know how it works. Can't imagine having eyeglass issues. When I turned 40 I had to move to bifocals. Never had trouble adjusting to them. Just glad I can see!!

Linda--I'm envious. have a great time on the trip. I'll be leaving in a month!

Laurie--good for you getting your workout done. Leftover--love them since you don't have to cook!

Nana--did you get the kitchen cleaned? Your mom sounds like an angel.

Well-I really need to get my rear in gear and get to work. Have a great day ladies.

Morning ladies... a short work day for me, only 4 hrs!! Then home to see if I can get up the ambition to go for a walk or go on the treadmill. Guess it will depend on the weather.

Chris - I know exactly how you felt with others in your kitchen looking for stuff!! You feel like it would just be easier if you were doing it yourself!! Guess you should have plunked yourself down in front of the tv or computer and done what guys and kids usually do when you are making dinner "NOTHING"!! LOL Hope your appt at the eye dr. goes well for you and for goodness sake go get your hair cut, you deserve that for yourself!! Had another crazy dream last night. My son was very young again and he was having panic attacks about the house burning down, I was trying everything to console him, WTH??? what on earth would that dream be all about I wonder??

Laurie - Superbowl left overs sound wonderful to me!! Hope your day is great!!

LindaS - Woooohoooo, the final countdown is on for take off!! So happy for you! A little jealous too!!

Terry - That is such bad news about your insurance!! Wow a hard lesson learned for everyone!! Hope you can figure out a way to make everyone happy and that the costs for the person with the broken neck don't bankrupt you!! On top of it you have a grumpy man on your hands too!! Not a good day! Sending you lots of  and good wishes!!

Nana Linda - Sorry your night out with your man did not go as planned!! Glad to hear that Mike is feeling better! Sure hope he is helpful with grocery shopping and more of a hinderance to you LOL. Glad to hear that your weather is improving and that the kids will actually be in school for the rest of the week :becky: Love your scrappers motto!!

Well better get moving and get some breakfast, off to work , had a great work day yesterday, got lots done and with everyone smiling a lot more these days, it is actually a fun place to be!! Enjoy the day all

here i are! i've been stewing all morning about a new wrinkle in the Andersen Window Saga. those SOBs decided to totally pull their offer of a new slider window and a $1500 refund totally off the table and tell me that the problem is "ice damming" and we should consult OUR insurance company. (i love this explanation. especially since they can provide NO evidence of this, PLUS i have photos of one of the leaks that happened in JULY. they were out here for that one, so i want to hear about "ice damming" about THAT one.) CAN YOU BELIEVE IT??? well, i've told them that they can deal with my husband from now on. Hubby the Attorney, that is. If THE GIRL can't get this done, let's see how they like hearing someone answer the phone: "U.S. Attorney's Office." if you looked my way yesterday and saw a cloud of green slime in the air, that was the weather front i created by using every swear word i ever knew last evening, and then INVENTING some more.

Terry. the car thing sound like an absolute nightmare! we ended up kicking my daughter off our insurance last year because she kept having fender benders. plus she has a talent for OTHER PEOPLE crashing into HER. good luck with figuring all this out. good luck with the birth mother thing, too. i kind of love how your son responded to her inquiry. it must have made you feel good. i was always glad that our adoption was a foreign one. if my daughter wants to search anything, which i doubt, i have info for her. but she's never shown any interest. and it's impossible for the birth parents to find her. so the choice is with HER.

gotta go get some bloodwork done. i'll write more later. :becky:

ok. back again.

Chris, dying to know if those contacts work out. i hear about stuff like those all the time, but when i ask the eye doctor, she says: YOU can't wear those! :hurt: so i have reading glasses stashed all over the house and car....

Trudy, youl haven't said anything about your new boss. better?? (couldn't get any worse than the last guy, i guess.)

Laurie. Superbowl leftovers. they're not just for breakfast anymore! sounds like a great meal substitute.

i actually got out of the house and out of the neighorhood today!! amazing. just a small chance of snow, so i ventured out to walk around the local Mall. i even bought a few things on sale. Big Day on the Town. i am SO pathetic....

hope everyone's day is going great. Happy Tuesday! :becky:
