OMG! It happened again. I think I woke up a gazillion times last night (no exaggeration!!) in a panic over what day it was and what I needed to do. Because literally, the world will end as we know it if I don't go food shopping today.
Yes, it is Tuesday.
Yes, I am going to the vet and grocery store.
All good, Faery?
I sure as heck hope so.

I am surprised that I didn't blow away yesterday. I felt my car shake more than once when I was driving. Darn cold, windy weather. Gary texted me a motorist alert from my town that 4 different roads were closed due to downed trees. Thankfully, the roads that I was on were clear.
Dr appt went fine. The surgery is scheduled for either the 20th or 27 depending on OR availability. I have to go to my GP for clearance -- Note to self: call today for appt-- see Dr again on the 11th, and then we should be set. Surgery doesn't sound like it will be a big deal. He said that I will need to be "bandaged" for 2 weeks for the incision to heal- that doesn't sound too bad, right? The only "big" issue is that he has to cut through my tattoo that is on my ankle. All of my tattoos are fading and blurry as it is so what can you do?

I met my parents and brother for lunch and I tried to help my mom with her computer. Some people should just not have computers. I am not an expert by any means but that fact that she can even turn the thing on is amazing. LOL
My brother is taking a class to be certified in supply chain logistics or some other random words strung together that will help him when he goes on job interviews. :D There was no way that he was going t be able to get into the teaching program that he wanted to do b/c of his college GPA from 1988.
Ridiculous, IMHO but I guess rules are rules.

So you already know what I am doing today -- plus I hope that I get myself somewhat organized for the rest of the week.

Hope that all of you have a fun day ahead!

Nancy- glad to see you here again! I am sorry that you were getting frustrated with your knee. Five weeks isn't a lot of time to heal after something so major but feels like forever when you are living it. I remember feeling the same after my hysterectomy and my GYN telling me that even though I looked the same, I had hundreds of stitches internally and that the body needs time to deal with all of that. You have a brand new joint that has to work with existing bone and muscle which is pretty crazy and freaky when ya think about it.
But you have made such incredible progress so I am glad that you are happy again.
The winds were so loud and strong.

Trudy- Nooooo!!! That stinks! I hate it when you are so close to being finish with a project but not quite. It is great that you are seeing how good it looks.
Is your MIL still alive? LOL
I def. agree that the weather is making me blah so it might be the same for all of us too. Hope that you had fun painting- what are you working on now?

Rae- Is Vice the movie about Dick Cheney? What a horrible man he is. But the makeup effects were done so well that in photos it was hard to see the difference between him IRL and the actor.
That makes me happy that B liked the rats LO and the asparagus story. That still cracks me up too. Crazy little girls!
That is perfect advice and understanding for Nancy.

Felis- you had a fun time watching the Oscars, didn't you? :) Glad that you stayed awake for all of it as well. I wouldn't have been able to do that.
Loved your descriptions of some of the fashion.
Good luck to your mom and the job!

xoxo

I went to hospital this morning. It's beautiful weather here, lots of sunshine. Still a bit cold, it was 1 degree Celcius when I left on my scooter, but there is hardly any win. It was beautiful outside.
Do feel tired now, but I'm happy. My appointment went well, I'm on the waiting list for another surgery and I got lots of vitamine D. What else can a girl ask for ....... Okay, lets not go down that road, there are a zillion things a girl can ask for

'm going to take it easy the rest of the day. Getting some scrapping done, do some reading etc.

Chris - I'm happy you feel confident about your surgery. Sorry about the tattoo, but maybe you can get a new one some day.
I understand about the rules your brother is facing. It's the same here, rules are more important then humans. Can get me mad sometimes
Anyway, good luck doing your groceries. I'm lucky, my husband always does it, I hardly ever have to do groceries.

Felis - Wow Felis, watching the Oscars. It's broadcasted here in the Netherlands, but that in the middle of the night or very early morning for us. I only got to see the winners in the news!

I wish everyone a wonderful day with lots of sunshine!!

Good morning O-zies!! I am up very early this morning and got my DH some breakfast before he heads off to work. Poached eggs on toast and orange slices with a cup of green tea. He is spoiled LOL! It is our anniversary today, 42 years together. We have been through a lot of stuff him and I and I am thankful for having him in my life every day! Some days he frustrates me to no end, but I love the guy  More happy times than bad and he is my best friend too, I am a lucky woman!!
Well yesterday was another day of just staring at my page that I want to finish, don't know what is the matter with me?? I guess this staircase re-do is making me obsessive and I won't be able to do anything else until it is finished!!! I have to meet my sister today to get some eggs from her and other than that not much on my plate today. I have a boring life!! :bored: Should try to get to the pool this morning and then I will try to finish this dam page again LOL.

Chris - The winds must have been terrible!! Our son was caught up in the wind too on his way to Ottawa, he said the wind blew him all the way there in record time LOL. It is cold here today minus 7C which is around 19F. Brrrrr!!

Yes, my MIL is still alive and her ears must have been burning, because she called me just before I went to call her. She called to wish us a Happy Anniversary a day early and had a few other questions about email address that they have somehow lost on their computer. So I can totally relate to your statement about how some people just should not own a computer :pound: MIL would not know how to turn theirs on, FIL fools around with it so much, he is constantly having to take it in for fixing. Not sure why he thinks he needs to change things all the time after it get fixed :noidea: I never did any painting yesterday either (dam staircase!) but I am hoping to do a painting to hang in our on-suite bathroom. This weekend we will head to Michaels to get the canvas that I need to start Heather's painting, it's a strange size, so I hope I can find it!
Glad to hear that your surgery will not be a big deal! Thank goodness! That is too bad that it will be over your tattoo, hopefully it won't damage it too much!

Jeannette - Lucky you having such lovely weather! How fun to ride a scooter to where you need to go! If I tried to ride one on the road behind us to town, I would be run over for sure! People drive like maniacs on this road!! Glad that your Dr. appt went well and hoping that your surgery is not too major!! Enjoy your relaxing sunny day!!

Rae - It is so nice to see you are scrapping again! I just love to see your pages! Glad you enjoyed the Oscars, I only saw the last 1/2hr of it so did not get to see all the fashion etc. Did you like the movie Vice?? We just could not get into it :mmph: Hope you do not have a heavy workload today! Sounds like the sun will shining today, so hope you get out for a nice walk in the sun with Taz!

Felis - I can't believe you stayed up all night to watch the Oscars! Wasn't Olivia Colman's speech just the best!! It made me smile! How fun that you were one of the first to congratulate her on Instagram!! I am glad you are enjoying the snow that I sent your way, you can have it LOL. I like to see it on the mountain tops, but hope it stays there! Yes hoping to go on my hike this week, but of course it is the only day this week that it is supposed to rain :mmph: Hopefully the weather man is wrong!

I will grab my first coffee of the day and then get the dishwasher emptied and the bed made. Tonight DH is taking me out for dinner for our anniversary. I think we will got to the Rock Cod Cafe, our fav seafood place. :hungry: have a wonderful day everyone!!

good morning - just got back from pt and it went well. My good knee bends to 120 degrees and now my new knee is up to 105 from 80. So I am making progress. But the weather is not cooperating as far as going outside to walk. My poor DH is home sick. He has this horrible cough and congestion. Yesterday was the trading deadline for the NHL. The Devils GM traded away 4 of our veteran players to teams that will be in the playoffs. He says and rightly so that it is time to see what our AHL players can do in the NHL. He also wants to see what the new defensemen Connor Carrick can add to the team. Well it worked out well as Nathan Bastian scored his first ever NHL goal against the Canadiens, Carrick had two assists. So a good start against a team in the play off mix. In fact the Devils defeated the Canadiens in all 3 games this season! Too bad they don't play them more often LOL.

Chris glad that the surgery won't be too bad. Two weeks is not too bad to get the incision healed. Sorry about the tattoos being messed up. Hope the grocery story shopping goes fast and you find all you want. Glad you had a nice time with family at lunch.

Jeannette glad the appt went well. Hope the waiting list is not too long and you can get the surgery done. I think riding on a scooter sounds fun but would not work in my town. People in cars are always in too much of a hurry. And I must say that 1 C is still a bit too cold for me to be out on a scooter. Enjoy the scrapping and reading.

Trudy happy anniversary to you and your Gary. It is awesome to be married to your best friend. Please enjoy that my Devils defeated the Canadiens and enjoy Marcus Johansson. He is finally well and will be great for the Bruins. Just don't let him near Marchand's elbow LOL. Enjoy your painting.

Rae and Felis I used to watch the Oscars every year but now I don't as I rarely see the movies that are up for awards. The dresses though that I do watch and OMgosh they are gorgeous. The jewelry is beautiful.

Have a great day all!

Yesterday was forgettable but I did get some scrapping done. Overnight and this morning we've had a little snow but that is better than the big winds Sunday. Lots of folks here still without power but we were lucky not to lose ours. Also finally feeling a bit more normal so far today.

Chris, what a relief that the surgery isn't supposed to be too much or the recovery. The tat will certainly change with an incision in it but maybe not too bad? Hope the shopping went well and you're having a better day.

Jeannette, you make the scooter trip sound so nice, even though it was a Dr. visit. Hope all will go very well. I agree with Nancy though that 1C is too cold for it for me.

Trudy, Happy Anniversary to the two of you! :champagne I'm sure you'll have a lovely dinner out celebrating. My DH is surely my best friend as well so I think I know what you mean. They are treasures to be sure (but so are we, eh?) If that scrap page is so difficult, maybe you could start fresh? Sometimes I have to do that.

Nancy, so glad to see you back! I really understand your comment about sleeping on your back. I had to do that when I came home from the hospital but it hurt my back and I couldn't sleep much. Then one night I turned on my side and my "front" didn't hurt! Finally I slept. Amazing that it can make such a difference. Glad the trades produced an interesting game and a Devils win. Your knee's improvement sounds really good. Now if the weather would just cooperate.

Felis, what a fun night you had with the Oscars! I was pretty pleased with some of the awards but had only seen two of the movies, so don't have a good feel for the others. Was sad Glenn Close lost out again though. Guess you had to get back to work today.

I was up and out early this AM... had to go clear across town for the appt with the tax preparer. I allowed an hour to get there but traffic was really heavy... and barely made it on time. Had to be there at 9 AM. Only had time for 1 cup of coffee before I headed out.

Stopped by the veggie market and grocery store on the way home. I was going to stop to get printer ink but managed to forget to take the coupon with me. Will do that tomorrow and stop and get gas then. Have the grief counseling session in the afternoon. Couldn't believe it but they had fresh strawberries - 1 qt for a dollar!! Also got red seedless grapes for a dollar a lb. Yummy... now I have some snacks when I am hungry.

Trudy... Happy Anniversary.. enjoy your dinner out. Hope you got the last of the stairwell painting done.

Chris... glad that all is coming along on getting the surgery scheduled. Hope the scar doesn't mess up the tat too much.

Nancy, glad to hear from you again. Sounds like you are doing really well on your recovery. Don't think Mom got to bending her knee that far until around 2 months after hers.

Gotta run... DD# called and is on her way... CYL

good afternoon girls

nancy - sounds like your recovery is going great

trudy - happy anniversary - how many years - enjoy your dinner out

chris - hope upcoming surgery goes well

watched the oscars - was so happy roma did not win best picture

wasnt lady gaga and bradley cooper so hot on their number. enjoyed the queen opening. i to was shocked that glen close did not win. she is becoming the susan lucci of the oscars.

my big news is that sunshine is no more . She now has a new name - it is Zoey . Tried Sunny and DH and i just didn't care for it. While we liked sunshine it was just too long . So you could say her official name is Zoey sunshine but will be called by Zoey. she only had the name sunshine for less than a week when i adopted her.

Good afternoon, ladies. Just a quick pop-in to say hi. It's been a busy work day and I took Taz out for a long walk and did some laundry. Now I've finished a late lunch and will be getting back to work. The day is flying by.

I'll be back in the morning to say hi.

Good morning girls,
yesterday it was interesting day, or sort of. The supervisor tell me to go at the bosses office, which was strange, because we don't contact with them often. I was worried at first, but then saw that there already wait two other coworkers, so I'm not mistaken. Actually they offered me to continued to gets additional work for the next month too. but I answer that I need time to get decision. If weather come warm I'll want to be out with the dogs and to start gardening, here at O will have party, and this month I didn't read even one book. I don't want on the end of the year to be a person who have nothing to share.
Right now I live my life without enthusiasm. I miss the school years, when you know you'll have to work hard from this to this month and then at next months you will be absolutely free. Also I miss the enthusiasm that this years had. I mean now I still enjoying my time with my pets, but do you remember the excitement when we was schoolgirls. How you follow the arrows on the clock to count the end of the day, and then almost run at the way back home, so to can play with your pets. The excitement and impatience in every little thing. Where are this all gone? So naively I believed that maturity will give us the freedom to make decisions independently. But now I'm in the trap of need from financial comfort and lack of energy. Oh, I miss so much the excitement of youth! It's so miserable the most awaited part of your day to become the moment when you'll come back at the bed (when this bed is empty, if it's not oh, than that is another tale , but I think you can see what I've mean).

Trudy, oh, happy anniversary to both of you, dear!:party: My heart sing when I find happy and sturdy relationship! Wish you many more years of happiness and mutual support! It's something so precious and rare!

Chris, bad about the tattoo, but maybe you'll be able to fix it or covered it with something new after that? We was watch one show when they do such a thing and they always are better than before. This girl Megan Massacre makes them. Sorry to hear that your brother can get the degree he wanted! How discouraging.

Jeannette, sorry to hear you needs surgery , hope it isn't something seriously! Get well soon!

Nancy, sorry to hear that your husband is sick, and wish him fast recovery! Maybe when he is at home you'll have distraction from the bad weather out, and you will not try to get out arbitrary! :nono: I wasn't watch any of the Oscars movies, neither. But for that reason they start with discussion studio to give us some glues. And you know me I like the fame and glamour.

Jean, your layout about the flowers is so pretty and the story so sweet! I'm sad you are feels bad, so it is nice to hear you have some improvement, even slow! Yes, I feels sorry about Glenn Close too, but this isn't nomination for lifetime achievement and when you compare concretely this two roles Olivia Colman is worked harder, in my opinion.

Kay, so frustrating to forgot to take the coupon in day with so heavy traffic, but at least other orders are worth it your time out!

Zanthia, new name for new beginning is good decision! Oh yes, lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper was so hot but not much respectful to their partners. His top model girlfriend looked so embarrassed.

Lorriane, come on, join to the fun!

Rae, hello girl! After we cross posted yesterday I wasn't able to ask you for so many things. How actually Jen is feels? What happened with her intention to change her home? And do she have new cat?! I remember Noel wasn't in good health, hope she isn't loose him, but I have this bad presage.
But of course if you don't want to speak about her, because this are personal things, after all, just excuse my inquisitive nous, please, and ignore this!
