-10*F. That is -23*C. Enough already.

I am in yet another funk, so I am going to make this super-brief.
Quick good mornings and hugs all around!

Love you all- which is why I am not going to type any more
Who needs to keep hearing that?

Good morning - It is super cold here. Not quiet as cold as Chris and probably Phylis too but the wind chill is below zero. Last night my Devils won their 4th in a row. WOW it was fun. But it was cold walking to and from the parking lot. Last night my son and DIL could not go so I invited two other young NJ Devils fans. Crystal used to be one of the season ticket holders but once she and her hubby had their son they could not do it any more so she went with me. It was so fun. I am always so happy that these young adults will go with an oldish lady. Went grocery shopping, made a fritatta for dinner, did some cleaning and laundry so was busy. I opened the tailgate to get out groceries and the milk hit the ground and broke. Bummer. Today will be a rest day. However I am going out for coffee with my girlfriends so that should be nice.

Chris hang in there! It is almost March which is a bit crazy but the daylight is longer.

Phylis that is crazy that you always lose your posts.

Shar I keep seeing that it is photoshop week but I just can't make the move to full photoshop. I love my PSE so just don't. Thanks for the link to the photos.

Trudy congrats on the Bruins beating the Blackhawks. And yes it is awesome that my Devils are winning. Glad you had such nice visits. Always fun to catch up.

QOTD yesterday is no I don't watch the AA. I don't see the movies.

Have a great day all!

Morning ladies... Up to our eyeballs in FOG this morning, but feeling bad for all of you still in that dam deep freeze
freez-in2-smiley.gif
I hope it all ends for you very soon!!

Chris - Hope you are trying to keep warm under your Linus blanket!! Spring is just around the corner and soon you will feel the warmth of the sun and be too stinking hot!!! I know you will not complain about that though! Never feel bad about being a weather bitch, you certainly have every right to be!! Feel better soon my friend!!

Nancy - Brrr cold for you also, but you are keeping busy with your hockey games and shopping!! Too bad about the milk, bet it froze to the ground very quickly!! Have a nice rest day and enjoy your coffee outing with your girls!!

Phylis - Hope you don't give up on posting here, we love to hear from you and I for one adore your great sense of humour!!

Shar - Enjoying the Photoshop week, but bummed that I can't watch both channels of it. I have recorded three videos so far and will be picking out which ones I want to record again today. Perhaps I could record them on DH's PC and watch the other channel on my Mac?? I will have to try that out.

Looking forward to a lazy day today, no swimming today. Yesterday I did not go until just before 11am. It was the perfect time to go for a Monday as the pool was almost deserted, last Monday I went very early and it was a zoo! I must have really worked my arms yesterday as I am a bit stiff and sore today. :noidea: Hoping to get some kind of scrapping done today! Have a wonderful day everyone!

Oh dear. Poor Chris. :'( Sending up some prayers for you and all the others stuck in the deep freeze...that first, something would pop into your day to lift your spirits...second, that things would warm up, and melt, and start spring blooming....

Nancy, coffee with girl friends is ALWAYS a hoot. Hope you have a loud and lovely time together. I hear you about PSE. I really like it better in many ways, but moved to PS5 a few years ago, and would have trouble giving up the ability to make my own actions. I'm a devoted fan of the PSE Organizer, however.

Trudy, Figuring out how to record the sessions seems too daunting to me, and requires downloading some suspicious-looking software, but sure wish I could see Matt K's classes from yesterday again. He flew though a couple of things that were new to me, and I wanted to rewind and watch again. The bad thing is, after watching Matt yesterday, I am now lusting after Lightroom! Do you have it?

Thanks for your nice comment on my Painted Ladies LO. I just LOVE that photo. I am a member of Bob Weil's Mobile Photography group. One of the first things Bob ever taught us was to only post THE BEST of our photos. Well, of course, on his site, few people are following that advice. I'm so surprised at what people post. DH and I frequently say to each other, "Just because it CAN be done, doesn't mean it SHOULD be done." Likewise, just because it CAN be posted, doesn't mean it SHOULD be posted. But then again, maybe there are people who think my photos stink! Art IS in the eye of the beholder. With few exceptions, I think Picasso's art is ridiculous. =:O There! I said it out loud! Andy Warhol is only just beginning to grow on me, and that said, I wouldn't hang one of his works in my house. I've made greeting cards using his style, however.

There is a poor dog somewhere near my house that barks all day long every day, and usually into the evening too. It must be inside, as the sound is muffled, but I CAN hear it from my computer room. I feel so sorry for it, AND for the neighbors who live closer to it than I do. Then there is Bosco, the nasty little dog that lives across our side-yard fence. He barks every time we are on our patio. With winter, we've had a reprieve, but DH has been out doing spring yard work, and Bosco, sadly, survived the winter. He bit DH once! I know. It's the fault of his owners. But this is one bad dog. It's not even cute.

Okay. I'm out of stories for today. Hope this took your mind off the weather, etc., for a few minutes, Chris.

YES! Phylis!!!!! Get back here! We need your sense of humor and your wisdom.

HAGD...or at least a neutral one!

I am just so tired of the cold! And while our snowfall hasn't been that bad, it is all still out there creating tunnels of roads and driveways. Today though we might even reach 22F. Hope so as we're taking my sister to an eye exam and shopping. But we'll be back to negative temps in a couple days!!!

Chris, obviously I feel for you! Hang in there under your Linus blanket.

Phylis - stay warm! and come back...

Nancy, glad the Devils have come through for such a nice run.

Sharon, bummer about the dogs. Hope you're having fun with the classes.

Trudy, thanks yesterday for the mention of Lady Gaga's performance. I did know she had the voice. She, like Alicia Keys, is classically trained and a real musician/singer. Nice with the pool on Monday but hope you didn't overdo. Well, I guess the fog is no fun either, hope it lifts.

Hang in there, all - March really is coming. (I think?)

I'm a little breathless right now. While watching the "free" CreativeLive broadcasts the last couple days, and seeing that they offered a discount on "upgrading" to The Cloud, I decided to go for it. =:O What pushed me over the edge is that Lightroom is included, as well as the newest version of PS, and I was seeing some of the magic LR can do that PS can't. And I became lustful. And my totally indulgent DH said I should do it. (I think he may be feeling guilty about all the $$$ he's been spending on greens fees this *winter.*)

But NOTHING with computers is easy. I'm downloading, and get an error. So I have to go to Microsoft and download the latest version of Visual C++ in order for PSCC to be able to download. WOW! It worked. It actually worked! Everything is still in the process of installing/downloading, so I'm not sure EVERYTHING works yet, but at least I got past the fatal 85%-then-fail-error-message.

And of course, there will be another learning curve! =:O What have I done? Should I really have done this???? ...and at the same time I'm taking the iPhone Academy course?

I know. This is a real First World Whine. Actually, WINE sounds pretty good right now. I think I will just get out of this room and go knit for awhile.

Oh Sharon you will love Lightroom!! I have so enjoyed the classes and have saved half of them so far. Not sure if I will ever use all of them but nice to have. I already have Lightroom 5 and still learning and wish I used it more. Now I think that I will with all of this learning about it!! Have fun with your new photoshop and lightroom!!
