Is it time for me to start commenting on how fast the month is going by? It's really freaking me out a bit. More than a bit, honestly. I have a list of projects I wanted to get done during the winter because as soon as the nice weather hits, I only want to be out in the yard, talking to my plants and all of the critters. I hope that Tif is doing ok. (Tif is a big toad that hangs out on my patio. I named them Tif which is short for Toad Friend.)
As for the projects, like cleaning out the linen closet- hmmm, yeah, I haven't touched it.

I love the new steam cleaner, it's nice and light and doesn't leave the carpets soaking wet. I vacuumed really well and dusted the BR first. I was amazed at how much dog hair it lifted out even after the careful vacuuming. My BR carpet is from when we first moved in, 27 years ago at the end of the month. It's pretty ragged but looks so much better today than it did before.
Not much going on today- although I just wrote on my To-Do list to clean out the linen closet. I have to strip my bed today so it's a good day to do that. I usually strip the bed, wash, dry, and remake the bed all on the same day, thus ignoring the need to dig through the closet for new sheets.

Cait is going to look at another house after dinner tonight. I'm a little concerned that she is stressing herself out more than she needs to at this point. (Wonder where she gets that from? :angelwhistle:) We had a long talk about finances and how I was not a good role model when it comes to being emotionally reactive to financial difficulty. Hoo boy, I was very reactive when the kids were small- and middle- and now LOL They heard me say a million times, "if it is not on sale, or I don't have coupons, I am not getting it." Or how they would ask for money to go somewhere with their friends and I would either yell or cry. Both, usually ;) I am seeing her react the same way when she talks about paying for the wedding and thinking about buying a house. I don't; know how to help her with that. It never gets easier as a mom, does it? SMH.

Other than working on the linen closet, I don't have much happening here, I have a LO to upload and one to finish. I have to finalize the shopping order, but first I have to figure out WTH I am going to cook for dinners. You all know how much I ***LOVE*** that. :rollingpin1:

Have a fab time! Hope that there is some of this in your day:

Good morning. I made a couple of layouts yesterday and they can't be uploaded until the end of the week. So I took a new approach and wrote it down. Otherwise, I'll be digging around having no idea where anything else is.

Went to the grocery store with Shaun...today he meets with the person who checks out his body to make sure that he doesn't need to make any modifications while working out. I spent two hours on FaceTime with Sydney last night. We were both on mute so I could watch TV while she studied. She is really stressed this week and it helps her to know that I'm there. So if I need to stay on FaceTime so that she can occasionally look at my face, that's what I will do. She has 2 1/2 weeks until Spring Break and she is counting it down. I've never heard her look forward to anything quite this much.

I, on the other hand, am sitting here hoping that I hear good news on the job front today. And looking at the catalog to choose four new Hibiscus plants. Big plans today. :floorlaugh:

@BrightEyes 5 am is pretty close to when my body (incorrectly!) thinks I should wake up, no matter what time I fall asleep. If I can sleep past 6 am, it's a miracle.
That's awful that DD#3 gets so sick, but yup, little ones are germ magnets. I am going to guess that if it came down to staying away from her grandson or taking the risk of getting sick, she'll pick her DGS every time. I am so happy that you are getting back in the groove of scrapping again!

@LSlycord hey now, don;t call yourself pathetic! Scrapping your Story pages is being very productive. You are creating and maintaining links throughout the generations. That is important work.
Are your niece and her boys coming down to visit soon? She is brave, flying with two little boys.
what an awful week ahead for Sydney, sending good vibes :sparkles1: to her

@Nonni F Whew, it sounds like your day turned out pretty ok, after all of the earlier troubles with the dinner and crockpot.
How much snow will you get in the next few days? We are at the very bottom of the edge of the storm and we might get some snow mixed with rain but that seems to be it.
Here is my terrifying pittie:

She is such a mush but loves to bark at everyone and everything. Whisky will stay calm until J gets her going and then it's chaos.
I have rescued three "Lab Mixes" and only one of them looked like a lab.
That picture is too cute!

@taxed4ever I hope that you had a fantastic day puttering about your house, scrapping and crafting. Did your Gary keep away for the most part?
Your FIL sounds exactly like what my BFFs mom is doing. BFF went to visit her the other day and said her mom was criticizing her about her hair. 100% normal for her mom. Then she asks BFF about something she did with her grandfather who died before BFF was born. Then talked about being in a hotel in Tokyo with BFFs father- also dead. Then asked about BFF's kids and their jobs like she had been lucid the entire time. Sad and scary, even scarier since your FIL is supposed to be taking care of himself and your MIL. Sending hugs to you

Linda, I love reading about your plants and gardens. It's getting me itchy to get out there myself. Itchy in a good way, not itchy in a poison ivy way, although that usually comes with the territory ;)
Good luck with everything growing and booming and producing!

@bcgal00 Remi must have one switch inside her- playtime, nap, eat, more playtime, and some more playtime. And that's about it! :rotfl: I hope that Jen's stomach doesn't; act up on her while she is traveling. How is the weather going to be in the next few days? *fingers crossed that she doesn't get stuck with any snow*
That is so exciting about the next cruise, I hope that you find something perfect!
Taz isn't that old, is he? It's so hard when they get older.

@vickyday That must have been terrifying for Ilene and you. I am so relieved that it was vertigo. But darn it, she shouldn't have been stubborn about the ambulance if it was a stroke. Big hugs all around that she is doing ok.
Did Mark get to test drive the Jeep?

@Cherylndesigns Thank goodness you have the IT Tech coming today. Did you try a System Restore? Sometimes that helps get the bugs out but not always. Glad that have the PC to scrap on at least.

Ok...I've refilled the #coffee-3 and I can now proceed to personals. Because I was late in here yesterday, I already responded to some of you.

But @vickyday how terrifying that must have been for Ilene, especially when she couldn't reach any of her family. I'm so glad that you were able to get over there to be with her and then to take her to the ER. You are a very good friend. Glad that you were able to spend some time just doing a puzzle on Sunday. What did Mark decide about the Jeep? I can imagine that it would be beneficial when going to the woods.

@bcgal00 I'm sorry that Jen is traveling when she really doesn't feel good. What a shame that she can't stop to visit with her sister. I'm sure that would have been a nice day for her. Oooo...a cruise to the Panama Canal sounds exciting! Hope that you find one that works for you!

@Cherylndesigns the computer woes are the absolute worst! Glad that the tech will be there today to get things back to normal!

Just popping in to say good morning. I'm so glad our IT guy could make it today! Keep your fingers and toes crossed that he can work his magic. I'll be back for personals later on - I HOPE.

Chris @faerywings Yes, I tried to do a System Restore and it wouldn't let me. I'm not sure why, but I couldn't even do that. Linda @LSlycord you got that right - computer issues are the worst. I was SO crabby all day - Chuck was praying that John could get here quickly. LOL He was out of town yesterday. I'm SO thankful that I can at least scrap on my big monitor.

Be back later and hopefully, I'll be able to see better. :stupicpc:

Well, DD doesn't have much choice as her #1Son and grandson live with her. Hard to avoid being around him.
And, yes, it feels so good to start scrapping again. I does take me longer to make a page... but love getting back in the groove again.
So glad the new steam cleaner is working so well. Good for you that you got the BF carpet done. Hope you get the linen closet straighten out.

@LSlycord - sure hope you hear from them about the funding today... :hug1: Poor Shawn... hope he is moving a bit better today. You are such a good mom to spend Facetime with Syd even with the sound muted.

@Cherylndesigns - hoping the IT guy gets there soon. So sorry that things got messed up the computer. I don't like to go into the system files as I would probably mess something up in there.

I need to get dressed and do a few outside checks... we have a major storm heading in later today. Rain/snow possible... but the whole state is under high wind warnings tonight and through tomorrow.... Winds from 50 mph up to 70 mph! Thank goodness I had not hung the patio swing back on its stand. But I do need to lay the stand down and have a few light weight pots that need to moved into a sheltered corner in the side yard. Will use the wheelbarrow to move them.

Morning everyone! It feels like it should be Monday! The house is quiet and I am enjoying my first cup of coffee #coffee-3I am on cloud nine!! :cloud9:. Ha, Ha, loving the new smileys!! I see there is even a ketchup one @faerywings and @tanteva, you would love this one!! Thank you to the smiley fairy for putting these ones here! Anyway it is a blah kind of day and according the weather people it is supposed to start getting very cold again for the next few days. I will be going to the pool later this morning or this afternoon, I will see how the morning goes. There is a nice graph on the pool website that lets you know when the pool is very busy or not so busy, so I will be checking that out before I decide when to leave. I managed to get a page done for the up coming Colour Play so I need to get that posted to the gallery soon. I hope to work on another at some point today. I started working on Hunter's painting that he wants done and I need to make a birthday card for SIL Linda's boyfriend Mark. His birthday is the first of March, so I have a few days before I start to panic about getting that finished.

@faerywings - How exciting that Caitlyn is looking at a house!! Although I am sure it is very stressful also, but then buying a house always is! I hope that they will find something that is not too far away from you and your Gary! Won't it be strange to be an empty nester!! Well at least your kids will most likely just be around the corner from you, not on the other sided of the Country!! Yes it is scary to see FIL acting this way! Although he has always been a story teller LOL, we have called him bullsh*#t Bud for years (his first name is Bud). But he is getting worse than ever, so I suspect he has had a form of Dementia for quite a few years now. While we were visiting with them MIL announced that she did not want any kind of a party for their 70th wedding anniversary which will be in August. She said that she just doesn't like people anymore. :holysheep:none of us have even thought about putting on a party, its only February for heaven sake!! They are certainly changing that is for sure!

@vickyday - My goodness what a scare with your friend Ilene and yourself also! So glad that she did not have a stroke, but having vertigo is pretty awful too! Hope she is feeling much better now! You are such a great friend to be there for her! I am wondering about the purchase of the jeep also, looking forward to hearing all about it!

@LSlycord - Sure hope that you don't have to wait all day long to hear about the job! What a wonderful Mom you are to stay on Face Time all that time to keep your Syd, calm while she studies! I bet spring break will not come fast enough for her and for all of you!

@bcgal00 - Sure hope Jen gets back from Vancouver without running into a major snowfall ! Hope that she is feeling better too! How old is your Remi?? I didn't think that she was that old. A panama canal cruise?? Lucky you! I can't get my DH on the B.C. ferry let alone on a cruise LOL I hope you can find one that leaves soon!

@Cherylndesigns - I too hope that your IT guy gets your issues resolved, hope you are not waiting all day long for him!

@BrightEyes - Hooray for sleeping in, but Ughh on that darn old Arthur for visiting you again! Tell him to get lost!! #angry2
Hope you get your outside chores done before the storm hits you. We had some winds yesterday, so another mess to clean up in our backyard too.

Ok I am off to pack my swim bag and waiting for a face time call from Heather this morning. Looking forward to hearing how her long weekend went! Have a great day everyone! :waving1

Good morning ladies. We'll be heading out to the travel agent this morning. I hope we find a panama trip either in April or the fall this year. From looking online there are not very many options, most are booked but we might get lucky. We probably will have to travel to down the coast to WA or CA for a ship and then disembark in Florida. It's a lot of traveling but I think the few that leave from Vancouver are booked well in advance. We'll see. D really wants to do this trip so I know he's going to be very disappointed if we have to wait a year or longer. Mind you, he should have been more proactive and gotten into an agent a lot sooner. It's going to be a long trip, between the cruise and the traveling, we may be gone 3 or 4 wks. I've never been on a trip that long. I will need to buy a lot of memory cards :)

Jen made it to Vancouver but it took twice as long as usual, she left mid morning and didn't arrive until the evening. The weather was bad and in avalanche areas there was construction which held them in one spot for an hour until the trucks cleared out. There is more snow falling before she crosses back over on Wed so it'll probably be a long drive home too.

I need to do house chores and take Remi to the park later. Maybe scrapping later this afternoon if I have time.

@faerywings Glad you like the new steam cleaner. I'm in the same boat as you, no idea what to cook for dinner today. I'm not feeling inspired by anything so will just open the freezer and peer into it, hoping for inspiration. Taz is 10 this fall but is definitely showing signs of sight deterioration and nervousness with darkness and stairs. I ordered a support strap to help him with stairs and glucosamine/chondroitin chews that may help with his joints.

@LSlycord So sweet of you to quietly FT with Sydney, not chatting, just being there for her to see you. Hope Shaun gets some good advice from the trainer about his workout.

Remi is nudging and whining at me to get out to feed the birds and play with her outside. Better go do that b/c I'll need to get dressed and head out soon. HAGD everyone.

I keep a word document running for the whole month and my pages for the month in a folder for the month. I include the journaling from my pages, links to the product, and fonts so I can just copy and paste. When sharing to social media I do it immediately upon posting my pages by clicking the Pinterest, Tweet and Facebook buttons on the right bottom of the gallery page. I copy and paste the info to my scrapbooking blog and Instagram and I'm done except for copy and paste to CT Tracker. Easy Peasy.
I like your plans for the day! ;)

Good Afternoon!
No news on the jeep. We went to the bank to see about getting the money.....forgetting it was President's Day. Probably just as well because Mark was hurting pretty bad (hemorrhoids) and we just came back home, he got in his pajamas after soaking in a tub of epsom salts and laid on the couch all day.

Ilene called me today to let me know she is doing well at her son's house. She will be with him until Thursday and then go to her daughter's until Saturday. She has medicine prescribed in case the vertigo strikes again.

Today I am doing nothing but CT stuff. I need to do some commenting in the gallery besides the layouts up uploaded to the gallery.
Meatloaf is the plan for supper.
I think Mark is going to try to get money from the bank again today and then go and test drive the jeep......as long as he is not hurting too badly.

Have a good rest of the day! :lovey3:

All I can say is thank heavens for my good neighbors.... I called Robert for help and he came over. He got both patio umbrellas taken down and stored in a sheltered corner, laid the patio swing frame down, and moved a couple of other things for me. I had a metal fire pit/stand/screen cover that I haven't used in a few years... I asked he knew anyone who might use it. His daughter could - so he brought over a dolly and took to his garage for her. He and his wife are my neighbor 'call in case of emergency'. They are always ready to help whenever I need it!! Think everything outside is a ready as it can be for the high winds. The clouds are moving in and the wind is starting to pick-up... so glad we got everything ready.

Oooops... notice the modem blinked so am signing up. Hope we don't lose the internet. CYL

Good evening, Everyone!
Busy work day today! I love when it's busy. It goes by so much faster and keeps me out of trouble.
@faerywings forecast looks to be 3-6 inches on one app. 6-12 on the other... so I'm going with zero to twenty four inches of snow... or none. LOL I hope there are no meteorologists in this thread. Seriously... to have a job where I can be wrong all the time... imagine. (on a side note, I spent a decade living next door to the NH News Channel 9 weatherman. I'd be out shoveling and he'd be in the yard looking up.... "thought it would have stopped by now." every. time. I'd just laugh at him)

I will have to go back and read through the thread as soon as I get dinner started. I hope this message finds all of you well, healthy and productive (whether scrapping or checking off your list of things to do)
Hugs from my corner.

Thanks, Kay. He was here for over an hour and I think he got me straightened out. No, I can't go into the DOS anymore, so I waited for him to do it for me. I'm now able to work from my big monitor and I'm hoping that helps. It's always a learning curve any time you chance things on a computer. UGH.

@BrightEyes, @Nonni F, @taxed4ever, @Su_Sanne :waving1
Thanks Linda. He was here for quite awhile and I think he got me straightened out. Ever since I got the second monitor, I've been in new territory. I think he helped me get my computer and my thinking straightened out today. I have a new setup so it will be a new learning curve. I'm SO not ready for new learning curves. #angry2

I slept in this morning.. until 8AM! Feeling more rested today. "Old Arthur" is visiting in the back, hips and legs the last several day. It is the higher humidity from the storm fronts. So I am moving slow and walking funny. #annoyed At least the arm is improving each day, so that is a blessing. Have added the back and forth exercise to the routine and have no problems with it. At the rate of improvement, I may end up cancelling the PT appts (not starting until mid-March). Even the typing is becoming easier!!! :p

Well, DD doesn't have much choice as her #1Son and grandson live with her. Hard to avoid being around him.
And, yes, it feels so good to start scrapping again. I does take me longer to make a page... but love getting back in the groove again.
