Oh, thank goodness I slept better last night. I feel a lot better today. Do any of you get upset stomachs when you miss a lot of sleep like that? My poor stomach was in knots and coffee was only making it worse.

I was able to get a bunch of things crossed off of my list, the biggest one being the appt for Jaida's heartworm test. She was due in January but after being at the vet's so often between Heather and Clover, I needed a break. Cait and I are bringing her on Thursday. I will need Caitlyn as a tag team since J *hates* that test. Last year, she bolted off of the exam table and took down me and the tech who were holding her. That girl is all muscle and knows how to use it. Yikes.
(wish I was all muscle, now I am all flab LOL)

Today I am going food shopping but over in NY again. I am really not feeling like going to the madhouse of my supermarket. Then I have to stop in at my new bank to pick up free movie tickets. When I opened the account, I was able to use the kids as a referral since they had accounts there already. Two free movie tickets and a free popcorn. Not a bad deal for them. They can battle out who gets them. :jedi:

So a relatively quiet day for me.

*knocks wood since we all know what happens when I say stuff like that!*

We totally need to find a "knocks wood" smiley hahaha!!!

Felis- I loved seeing your cats in the snow. I don't think that any of the cats that I owned would like that so it was fun to see yours. I truly hope that your pictures aren't on a broken disk. I used to burn scrap pages on disks but gave up for similar reasons. I would lose them, scratch them, or they would get corrupted somehow.
Great find on the yoga cards! They are neat but I can see why you would still want to make your own.
I still haven't started doing any yoga. I am in such a darn rut!

Nancy- OMG- my yard is like that too with all of the snow and ice melting and rain on top of it. Literally like a pond in areas.
Sorry to hear about the Devils' losses.
That is funny about the towels in the car with kids then Luther. We have our Hiking with Dogs Bucket in the back of my car but no big towels. I should add that.

Rae- that book must be really good! I added Year One to my Holds at the library.

Trudy- how nice that your and your Gary were able to go on a hike and that he is feeling all better. I adored that photo of you and the kids on the sofa-- such a happy one! You look great!

Jean- same here-- the sun popped out a bit in the afternoon and we have sun this morning as well. Even though it is cold, it looks nice!

Chris, things here aren't remembered very well unless written down (if we can find where we wrote it.)

good morning - the sun is shining and that makes me happy as I watch the women's hockey team face the OAR (Olympic athletes from Russia LOL). Both boys were gone when I got up at 7 am so very quiet. Having fun watching the Olympics - snowboarding is so so fun to watch but I cant imagine doing it. The ice skating was fun too. Actually got a great dinner cooked - funny how sometimes just a basic dinner can taste so good it was meat sauce on pasta with a romaine salad. The boys just raved. It was pretty easy to make so that too makes me happy. My girlfriends and I going out to dinner tonight instead of Wed so that will be fun. Going to an Italian restaurant. Also going to get my hair cut and colored. Always love this. Watched late night hockey as the AZ Coyotes defeated the Blackhawks 6-1. So happy for the Coyotes but so strange to see the Blackhawks doing so badly. Tonight my teams play the Flyers in Philly. I actually scrapped two pages yesterday and that felt really good.

Chris glad you slept so much better. It does help. I find being tired makes me so crabby and food does not help. Good luck with shopping in NY. I know what you mean about dogs know what to do with their muscles when you are not prepared. I was out walking and Luther started to run and he pulled and while I did not go down it sure is a shock. At least now you all will be prepared when you take J for his heart worm test.

Felis I feel your sadness about disks as storage. I use the cloud and EHDs and still don't feel my photos are backed up enough. Love those yoga cards.

Trudy how nice your dinner and hike sound. It is so interesting how finding out about an allergy can make a body feel so much better, glad she found out about her dairy allergy. I saw another one of my dog walking friends and she and I commiserate on how it takes us until the middle of the week to get our dogs back to good behavior after having the DHs home for the weekend.

Rae interesting you had this Monday off as the boys have next Monday off - Presidents Day. Glad you had some fun time relaxing with the book. There is nothing like the fun of reading a good book. So glad you were able to feed those hungry little hummers. You are so lucky to have them.

Jean I loved the line about remembering where you put the list. Hope you DH is feeling better. He must not have felt well if he missed his band time.

Good morning, ladies. Had a relaxing night, got all caught up on The Good Doctor tv shows and went to bed a bit early. Didn't get as much desk work done as I'd hoped to but that's ok, I'll work hard today and tomorrow and should be all caught up by then.

Took Taz to the dog park yesterday and there were lots of dogs so he had fun. It was so cold though that I couldn't stand it and we left sooner than I had planned. He enjoyed the trip to the pet store too and I was able to get the manager to order in the big bag of dog food which will be more economical. He told me something interesting. He said to always leave the dog food in the bag it comes in, or only take out a bit to put in a smaller container (a weeks' worth or so) and it should be metal or glass, not a material (like plastic) that the dog food can scratch the surface of and the oils embed into it and go rancid much faster than in the original bag.

Not much planned today aside from popping over to VV this morning (senior discount) and then work all day.

Chris - have a good shop. Good score for the movie tickets for the kids!

Nancy - another great meal! Have fun going out with your friend for dinner.

Morning ladies... I am a bit late getting here this morning, but have been busy trying to help out DD with her new Andriod Box remote control LOL. We got her an andriod box so that she can watch Kodi on her tv upstairs its an early birthday gift. Her birthday isn't for another 3 days but she was having trouble with the remote. So now that is all done and she is happy!! Jonah is home today with the dreaded man cold, so she will have her hands full :becky: So now I am going to hit the pool a bit earlier than usual and hopefully it will not be too busy today. Hoping to get a page or maybe even two done today and other than that I only have the bathrooms to clean today, so it should be a good day! Yesterdays hike was so pretty with clear blue skies and crisp cold air, lots of people out on the hiking trails yesterday, everyone had the same idea for family day.

Chris - Glad that you had a much better sleep last night, it makes such a difference in your whole day! Good luck with your shopping in NY today, hopefully the store is less busy and chaotic and I am sending you positive vibes for good deals at the store also! I don't blame you for waiting until Thursday for the dog to have its check up, your poor body must still be sore from your fall the other day, so ya you need a break!

Nancy - I have been watching a lot of the Olympics too and love the ice skating and snowboarding! Not something that I would ever attempt either, although I did do a bit of figure skating growing up and a bit of the ice dancing. I loved it but then other things got in the way of continuing (darn boys LOL) Oh well not sure I would have been very sucessful at it anyway LOL. Next year our Family day will be moved to the third week in February like the rest of the country, for some reason we thought we would be different and celebrate it on the second week, why?? I have no idea :noidea: Glad that everyone loved your simple but delicious dinner and I hope that you have a wonderful time with your friends tonight! So nice that you can all get together like that!

Jean - glad that you got some sunshine yesterday, hopefully it continued into today! Sending healing vibes to your DH today and hope that he is fully recovered! I can totally relate to the list and then not remembering where you put it!! :becky: most times I make a list and take it with me to the store, then leave it in the car :doh: I really have to start keeping my grocery list on my iPhone!! That is always with me in my wallet. LOL

We are busy with Winter projects.

We are taking everything out of the cabinets, scrapping off the paper liners, painting them white, getting rid of things, and organizing. One cabinet a weekend or so! Feels great!

Then I am taking photos of all the artwork I saved that my sons made when they were little to digitize them and recycle the originals.

I can never seem to find time to get here to chat and scrap as I would like to.

the good shopping karma rounds around and after Trudy and Rae I made a great deal too! Actually my sister did it. She found in our favorite outlet store the coat that I wanted on great discount. It's a brand new, with label and in excellent condition, just it's from older collection, which I don't care because people who has a style no need to follow the fashion. And it was on 70% sale, yey! The only problem as with every online order is that I can't be absolutely sure do will fits me good, but it's in my size, so will have to wait to be delivered and will see. I'm excited!

Chris, are your vet makes visit at home, aren't it? Our vet have a schedule when can come at the houses for the regular procedures. I can't even imagine to have control this dog which is scared even to be inside my own house if I have to put him inside unfamiliar place. It cost a little bit expensive, but when calculate the amount that we have to pay if drive it with your car it's the similar, so totally worth it.
Hehehe, Chris, from where you think the phrase "copycat" is become. They are ready to repeat what they see, and when we play they want too. Don't be surprised, they are been street cat before, so they are not afraid from cold. Your cats are probably been born inside, I have cats like them too and they just don't comes outside too. The beauty of the habit :becky:.
I know exactly what you mean about the postponement of doing yoga. I had need 2 years procrastinating and make promises to ''start from next month'', before Rae's Healthy Thread to inspire me. I don't force myself to be strict, because this put me in circle of dissatisfaction. Just make a short exercises at the days when found a little time. And I think how Rae choose carefully her food every day, and Vicki finished another step of her runner program (I saw this on instagram), till I still can catch my hands on a back on left side, so this puch me to keeps going.

Nancy, happy birthday dear! Trudy told us! And I guess that's the reason to move the meeting with your girlfriends earlier. Have a fun and lovely b-day!

Rae, I keep my cat food bags at plastic bucket, but put the original bag into the bucket. Also I make just a small hole at the bag and close it with clothes peg, because they no eat if the aromath is gone.

Trudy, great for the yesterday's hike and I hope you had a good time in the pool too, without many people!

Uhh, the electricity turn off and on, maybe because it's rain outside. So I had write my post for ages. Good that I keep the parts at Wordpad, but better to post it, before to stop again.
