NEW MONTHLY CHALLENGES GOING UP TODAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just got back from the bus, its gonna be a looooong couple of days, ugh.

Linda S- sounds like your weather is worse than ours- 7-12' of snow before it turns to sleet/freezing rain tomorrow. Either way, it stinks! Hope that you won't have to travel in to work.
Glad to hear that you are feeling better too!

Nana Linda- hope that today is an easier day for you and for Mike.

Kaleigh- I hope its not colic too!

Clara- oh no- thank goodness you knew where she was. Its good to have a strong willed girl- she won't get pushed around when she is older. (At least that is what I keep saying to myslef re: Caitlyn)

Trudy- feel better too!

Clara- whew! bet you are very relieved about the appt! good luck!

Meg- more hugs to you and Jeff too. get better! And good luck with your big stuff.

and I am off again....

xoxo

Well, so far we just have the freezing rain with a little snow over the top. And we've been downgraded to 6 to 10 inches here. It's expected to get messy this afternoon. So we'll see what happens. Just to the southeast of us...maybe 50 miles, they are saying 10 to 16 inches. Who really knows?

School and work are both on. If it gets bad, I may go on PTO later this afternoon and tomorrow. Then I could scrap all day. :-)

Sorry about the trifecta Chris!

Nana Linda, have a good time with Cameran. (and all the other kid-O's)

Morning ladies....double Ewwwwwuuu for the cleaning up the cat stuff!! I hate just cleaning up when my cat has a hairball, yuk!! You really are a good cat mommy Chris!! Up very early this morning, because of coughing half the night and turning from side to side to breathe out of one nostral or the other, oh brother!! Thank you MG for this lousey cold  Extra day of work today as I help my friend do statements for the Store. It's usually fun as its the only time we really get to visit and have a few laughs. Then off to get things for hubbys birthday tomorrow. I will be taking him out to dinner and baking him his favorite cake, chocolate cake with green peppermint icing. His mother was famous for her cake so its a family tradition to have this one. It's not my fav, but its not my birthday.

Chris - hope your little fur babies give you a break this morning and no more sickies!!

LindaS - Hope that the forecast is totally wrong and that you don't get any more snow at all, or we will have to come and shovel you out! :smow:

Nana Linda - You are always so busy!! Enjoy your day with the C-man!!

Have a great one everyone!!

Okay...the word "Trifecta" used in that capacity just made me smile sooooo big this morning!! Sorry, Chris, that I am going to have such a great day because of your misfortune!!! LOL!!!! I love ya girlie!! (and I blogged about you and me and even used our pic with your mom and Cait!! love it!!)

Well, I've got a sickie girlie today. 101.9 fever for Cora and she's super upset because she has a trig test this thursday and the teacher pretty much goes by his lectures. (she's taking two classes at Jr College for dual credit! yipeeee!!). But when you have a fever, you just can't go around exposing people, let alone having to sit up straight for an hour and a half listening to a guy drone on and on about trigonometry??? LOL!!! Hopefully we can run up there later when she feels a bit better and get some kind of notes from him.

{i love coffee}

just a random outburst because I took a sip and it was soooo delicious!! Anyway, it was bound to happen because all of her friends she was with this weekend in Austin are sick now...poor kids!! and the weather is turning violent here...that pressure doesn't help anyone either!! I'm half expecting Mr G to fall apart (he has those nasty allergies that show up at the most inconvenient times!!), but alas, he's doing great this morning!!

So, I better get to work. I'm creating some fabric cones to put inside these really cool "french fry" holders from Crate and Barrel for this brunch my mom and I are doing this Sat. I will have a series of blogs about all of my sewing decorations for it coming soon, but to do that, I have to actually sew the decorations!! LOL!! better get to work!!!

I hope and pray that everyone here has a day filled with laughter, really really great coffee, and hugs!!

love you all!!

Good morning-ish!! Barely morning but it is still morning nonetheless! It has been an interesting morning. well, not really, just cold. Our thermostat or something isn't working right. First we got the heat upstairs working but it got to warm so we would have to turn it on and off all the time but i didn't call the rental people because I didn't want to deal. But now the downstairs heat isn't working. I am still trying to figure out why in the world there is gas downstairs and a heat pump upstairs. And the heat pump sucks upstairs. The thermostats are soooooo cheap. You can't program them and they obviously don't work. I miss my house and my thermostat. I wish I could just turn them all off until it was AC time. But it is 59 degrees downstairs. So, I got the tv out of the garage, put it in the bedroom and Addie and I are hanging out in my room all day.

I am totally stoked about Ethan's appointment today. I just want to know if we have issues or not. maybe he's just an ordinary 8 year old...but my ADHD husband doesn't think so. My parents are sure he's perfectly normal, but that's their job. I just want him to be as successful as possible. So, yesterday I got a note from his teacher. It was a form letter for students who are not doing well and need a plan to get through to the next grade and the teacher is scheduling a conference for them. I didn't even get a chance to read it when I saw the note she had written on it..."This is NOT about failing. I just like to meet with new students." I thought it was funny. I didn't even get a chance to be concerned thanks to her note. She capitilized and underlined the word not. Just to make sure I understood. It was great. I can't tell how Ethan is doing in school. he is really depressed still and I think he is trying to not do well there so that he can come home. He's not making friends which is not like him and some kids are making fun of him for being short. I told him to reply with "thank you captain obvious." or something along those lines. If you have a short child...tell them to marry someone tall so that if they have a boy he might not be too small. LOL!! He'll be fine soon enough. He just needs to stop being stubburn. I told him he needs to find a friend to invite over next weekend. We'll see how that goes.

Well, I'd better go check out this months challenges. Can't wait to see what they are all about this month.

Chris - The trifecta? Ewwwwwwww! you are a much better cat mama than me. I would not be able to deal with that. The poo I can deal with better than the pee...well, unless it is a digestion issue and all over my entire house. When that happened with my cat I thought I was going to die. We got her set up with the vet immediately and got a carpet cleaner scheduled. ugh!! It was bad. We ended up having to put her on new food and then had to retrain her to use the litter box by locking her in the bathroom for about 3 days with her litterbox and had to keep it super clean until she retrained how to use it. I think it happened because my husband would get stupid and not let me know when we were low on animal food and switch the cat and dog food for a day until we bought food the next day. I told him not to do it but he did it anyway. He doesn't do that anymore, needless to say. Oh, I have the same thoughts about Addie being strong willed as you do about Caitlin and just hope and pray it works out the way I hope. I just keep hoping it means if a boy looks at her the wrong way she punches him and if a girl wants her to participate in something stupid she thinks she's too cool for such silliness. We'll see how that works out. Keep me posted on how it works with Cait.

Nana - Ejoy your day at home today with the kiddos. Sorry you can't get everything done but at least you have the extra kiddo to play with instead. What an odd day to have scheduled off...just a random Tuesday?? Strange.

Linda - I'm glad you are not scheduled to get as much snow. So strange how just a few miles make such a difference. Derek lived in a weird area like that in Ohio between the snowbelt and the Lake effect and had all sorts of crazy weather. Stay warm.

trudy - That is so sweet of you to make your husband a cake you don't love for his birthday. My mom used to do that but not so much anymore, now she fusses about it. So now I've started doing the selfless cooking...but I love doing it. I hope he has a great day. I'm sure he needs it after the past week or two...and you probably just need the time with him. Have fun at work today.

o everyone who comes llater...have a fantastic day!!

*banging head on wall* we just got Kaylyn to sleep about 30 minutes ago. She's been up since 3 am (translation 7.5hours). I tried everything, she just kept eating and crying. I even tried to put her on the dryer thinking the vibration would help, it did, for about 2 minutes, then she started to scream again. Poor kid, =[ I wish I knew what to do to help her. Luckily Mario is an amazing man and he stayed up with her last night so I was well rested to deal with that this morning. She's sleeping like a champ now so I'm hoping being up for 7.5 hours will mean sleeping just as much.

Chris - Ick! That is horrible!

Clara - That is great! I hope you get the results you want!!

Sally - Aww! I hope Cora feels better!!
