Is everyone ready for Day Five of the party?
:elf2:

How are you all doing today? I am off to a banger of a start. I woke up at 4.30 again so it looks like it is going to be a long day ahead. uuuuugh...
I hope the morning goes by quickly so we can pick up Jaida. The vet called yesterday afternoon, earlier than we expected which was a relief. I hadn't gotten to the point when I keep looking at the clock, then the phone, then the clock then the phone. Again and again. You all know what I mean, I am sure. :D The vet said the surgery went well, she had a PT session yesterday and will have another one today before she is officially released.
We found the baby gates in the attic that we'll use to block her into the LR. Whisky can jump those gates or climb over the sofa so she'll be able to get in and out. J doesn't do that on a good day so it should be a good setup for the next couple of weeks.

I got a few more things off of my to-do list but I still feel so far behind. What else is new? Some of the stuff I had to do were simple tasks but I'd been putting them off. Like cleaning the dog poop off of my work boots. They'd been sitting on my front steps for weeks now. That was one of the easiest things to ignore. LOL
I have a couple of gifts I need to order online for my dad this morning and two things I want to get Scott. I should have a decent grasp on my own shopping when I head out down the highway tomorrow. I have my mammo appt so as long as I am down there for that, I'll make it into a day of shopping. Oh, joy. (that was full-on snark BTW :giggle4: )

But today-- just waiting for the time to pick up my baby girl. I want to do some scrapping. The LOs and kits in yesterday's HAPS were amazing! I felt all of these ideas running in my head, now I just have to figure out when I'll have time.
I keep thinking to myself how happy I am that I found a job, but that it won't really start until January. I have the reassurance of an income but don't have to stress about a work schedule yet. Whew.

Wishing everyone a day filled with love and joy!

Only thing I've learned the hard way is to not jinx it by saying "At least next year can only be better!" .... Nope ... never happens.
NOOO!! Never say that! Or "I'm at the end of my rope." Or "I can't take one more thing."
We all know what happens as soon as those words come out of your mouth. :footinmouth:
:rotfl:
Glad to hear that you are feeling a little better. Big hugs to you!

@vickyday Thanks for the hugs for Squirrel and Jaida. ♥
Did you go to bed at a decent hour last night? I can't believe that you stayed up to 2.30 am leaving love on LOs. You are a fantastic challenge host :cheer:

@BrightEyes Oh that is a relief, that I didn't miss anything or mess anything up with your health. I am laughing at myself a little. I can barely keep track of my own family's appts but I want to also keep track of everyone's here. It's my need to make sure that everyone is OK. ;)
How did your errands work out, get everything done? It was 49* here and so damp it felt much, much colder. Having the sun out must have made it pleasant(er) to be outdoors.

@Cherylndesigns 100% that the vet has a different odor and the other pets always could tell when one came home from a visit. Today's challenge is going to keep W from being literally up J's butt hahahaha!

@taxed4ever Oh no, sorry that you were so achy after getting the decorations out of the crawl space. I hope you're all stretched out and loose today. How did you do with scrapping yesterday? Hope you got lots done!

Feeling even a bit better today. Still not 100%, but whenever am I that. Cold as &%¤ here today, I'm so happy I'm a house wife. I'm not leaving the house today! It's -15°C (5°F).

Urban had messaged me, when I woke up. Looks like I slept through a car crash this morning. When Urban was waiting for the bus to work this morning, the bus driver forgot to turn off for the bus stop. One of our neighbors, who also was waiting for the bus, started to jump, wave and scream. Then when the bus driver saw him, (s)he hit the breaks, and put the bus in reverse, backed into a VOLVO behind it, who was then pushed into a small mail truck behind. Luckily, no one got hurt. Urban got a ride into Mora, with a parent of a kid who was waiting for the bus to get to school, and did get to work almost in time.

Me - missed it all, even though it more or less happened outside my window. Snoring along, and woke up 2 hrs later, only reading about it in the news.

Now - poor me - I have to go to the shop, and see if I can manage to find anything I want in Joyful Heart Designs store, since I won $5 in the November challenge. Poor me ... it will be soooo hard. Absolutely nothing I want there.....

Had a broken sleep night. . woke up @ 3, then dozed off and on until 6! I did go to sleep earlier than usual at 9PM so that might have played into it. I was having crazy dreams from 3 until 6 so gave in and got up.

I did get my errands done yesterday. Re-joined Sam's Club - had a bonus card to get $20 in credit - but need to wait a couple of days for it to be credited to my account first. I will go back just before DD#1 gets here and use it then. I made it over to TMobile shop to have them help me a couple of things with my phone. Thought we got everything shut down so I am not pinged all day long. But - some how we missed something as it is still happening. GRRRR!!! Made a couple more stops to pick up a few things then headed home. I was more than ready to put my feet up and veg the rest of the day. Got a call from one of my gals to let me know that the Dec brownbag lunch has been moved to next Monday. And another one will be selling her 2-story house ASAP as both her and her hubby can't manage the stairs. Hoping they find a single story house close by. She lives in my old neighborhood so it would be wonderful if she found a place closer to me. DD#3 let me know that her grandson is over his illness and back in pre-school again.

@faerywings Such good news that J came through the surgery okay. Know you will be on pins and needles until you can pick her up from the vets later on today. Glad you can combine your mammo appt and some shopping.

@tanteva WOW, you must have really been deeply asleep to not hear the bus/car accident happen right by your place. So sorry the bus driver didn't realize she had passengers to pick-up there... but glad that Urban wasn't too late getting to work. Hey, Congrats on the win... yes, there is so many wonderful things to chose from in the OS store. I know you will put whatever you get to good use.

@vickyday Hope you didn't over-do with all that typing to leave love in the gallery. My wrist/hand still gives me fits even with the compression gloves on...

@bcgal00 I saw the photo of your new house on FB!!! Wow... it looks great. Know it will be awhile for you to get settled in and back in here to chat. Hope you get settled before Christmas so you can enjoy the holiday. Pop in when you can.

Off to get more :coffeedrinker: and give my hands a break. HAGD

No. I was a good girl. I had the brace on most of the time and did the one-handed hunt and peck, which is probably why it took so long!

Good morning! Happy Day 5!
Ilene and I were supposed to hang out shopping this morning, but I woke up at 4 something with a headache, got up and took some Tylenol to no avail and she is all hoarse with congestion junk that is going around, even though she says she feels fine. But we decided we better skip our plans for today. Just as well. I tossed and turned last night so my back is needing the heating pad this morning. So I guess I will hang out in my recliner most of the day.

The temps have been much warmer here lately! It was in the low 70s last weekend! The sun is so pretty and bright!

I forgot to mention that the neighbors are having logging done on their property next door, which has really let the sunshine into our woods. Part of the trees were a bunch of pines. This weekend a new bird showed up at my feeders. I thought it looked like a nuthatch, but it was smaller and different colors than the ones hanging out in the tree next to the house. Upon Google research I found out it is a brown-headed nuthatch! And it makes its home in the pine forest. That's sad that it was run out of its home with the logging! But I was happy to see it at my feeder! So I want to scrap it today!

HAGD!

Morning everyone! I was up very early, but was in bed very early too. I have had a productive morning and got a batch of butternut squash soup done and made some cauliflower rice for making wraps later this morning. Emptied the dishwasher, made the bed and on my second cup of coffee :coffeedrinker: . I am bound and determined to get a layout done today for the 12 days of December. Yesterday was spent making a calendar page (only 3 more to go) and I worked on some Christmas cards. Sadly I did not spend much time here at the O at all :sad2:. It was one of those days where I just had to focus on getting one thing done at a time LOL. I am finding that harder and harder to do :giggle4:.

@faerywings - So happy to hear that Jaida made it through the surgery just fine! I bet it was a big sigh of relief when you got that phone call a bit earlier than expected! Yup cleaning dog poo off of my boots would be one job that I would put off !! Hope you got them all nice and clean again! Glad to hear that you are getting some Christmas gifties purchased, I really need to look for a couple more things, but I think I am almost done my shopping Hooray!!!

@BrightEyes - I wonder if it is the weather making for such broken sleep?? It is unusually mild here and we have had an atmospheric river come through, OMG so much rain!! Last couple of nights have been very broken sleep for me also and so many dreams!! So glad to hear that your son and his wife are safe and sound! Earthquakes are pretty scary for sure, we seem to have many but most are not noticed much. Have had a couple of scares in the middle of the night with the house shaking and it sounds like a freight train is going through the house :eek2:.

@vickyday - Sorry you are dealing with another headache! Probably a good idea for you and Ilene to plan for another day if she is stuffed up, you don't want to get that!! How nice to have the new bird to your feeder, but sad that it has probably lost its home with the logging!! Poor wildlife, we are driving them out in droves!!

@tanteva - :wow: you must have really been snoring to not hear the accident outside your bedroom window!! Wish I could sleep that soundly! Have fun scrapping with your new goodies today!

@bcgal00 - I saw your new place on facebook too, it looks amazing!! You will be one busy lady for the next while, unpacking etc.

Ok I am off to the gallery and the shop to see what I can get inspired by! Hope you all have a fun Day 5!! :xmas6:.

Just heard from DSon#1.... there was a 5.9 earthquake in the Philippines that had them rocking and rolling! They are okay and no damage to their condo. There had been a much stronger one a few days ago but much farther away from them. Glad to get the text from him and know they are okay.
So glad to hear they are OK!

I'm like you, Trudy. I have to focus on one thing at a time or I start feeling scatterbrained!
I know, I hate that the nuthatch lost its home.
That was the main reason for calling it off with Ilene, too! I don't want whatever she has, although I won't be surprised if I get it since I was hanging around her GD at the baby shower and she had whatever Ilene has! That might even be part of the cause of my headache!

Good afternoon.Looks like I'm late to the party. I'm tired today - I think I overdid it yesterday. I played too hard at the party. :elf4:
Chris @faerywings good news about Jaida! The next few weeks are going to be hard, especially keeping W from being all over her, as you said. SO funny that he can jump the kiddie and he will, no doubt. How is Cait doing after the loss of Squirrel? I'm sending lots of hugs to you both, and you'll need extra hugs when J comes home.

Kay @BrightEyes glad to hear that your family is ok after that earthquake! That's significant and I'm sure they WERE rocking and rolling. My grandmother, uncle and brother lived in CA for years and they had a couple of doozies while they lived there. My brother said they had a seismograph at his work and that thing moved almost all of the time. Granny and Uncle Paul were in LA and my brother was in SF. Anyway, glad they are OK.

Trudy @taxed4ever you have been productive already. I have to "work up" to all of that. I have laundry to do today and a dishwasher full of clean dishes to empty. Chuck wants more of the rice and stir-fry that I made 2 days ago. He just wanted his smoothie yesterday, now he wants the leftover stir-fry this evening. I wanted to reply to your comment about the number of pages I get done. You wanted to know how I did it. LOL I'm scrapping in my head a lot if that makes sense. When I see a collection, like in the Prerelease Forum, I start scrapping in my head and figuring out what pictures I want to use. I'm also a fast scrapper (maybe because I have most of it worked out before I even start). I always did that even when I was a paper scrapper. You might say I'm a tad "obsessed". I also stay up very late (like Vicky) I don't go to sleep easily and I have to stay up until I "hit the wall" literally. Scrapping fills that time for me - I don't like to watch TV, and sometimes I read, but mostly I scrap. Finally, my eyes start to cross and I know I can sleep. I've had sleep disorder since I was a child. It's not a fun thing, but I figure I might as well use it to my advantage. There you have it. :floorlaugh:

Well, now I must get to the party. I started a Re do a Layout last night and also Surprise Gift #2. One is in my head and the other is in progress. :floorlaugh:

Hugs to everybody and have fun at the party today.
XOXO
