The Loopy-O
CHEERY O
Where is my Insomnia Club? I needed you all at 3 am. I woke up a few minutes before 3 and my feet were cold. I just *knew* that if I reached over to get my socks, that it would be all over. But my feet were cold!!!! As soon as I got my socks on, my brain went *****ROAR!!!!*****
No matter what I tried to do, I could not get it to turn off. I gave up at 4. Figured I have so much to do today I might as well get going. *sighs*

Clara!!! I neeeeeeed youuuuuuuuuuuuuuu!! And your :tea:

Yesterday was one of those days too. I used up all of my grocery money at the pharmacy and then thankfully didn't go over the amount I had on a gift card for my groceries. Then I had to do some online shopping for C-mas, then deal with being on hold for a half an hour to find out if I needed referrals for my mammo call back next week. While I am listening to the same silly song over and over, I start to think about what happens next, if I will need another biopsy like last time. Then I think about time and money. Do I try to get it done before the holidays and have it covered with just a small co-pay with this insurance? Or do I wait until after the holidays for sanity reasons But then I have a $750 deductible. Do I want to deal with that all at once in Jan?

Gary tells me that I should even think about any of that. To just let it goooo *whooshing hands and sound*
And yes, he is right. But at the same time, *I* am the one trying to juggle money and bills and Christmas shopping and drs appt and all that!

Coffee with my BFF was nice but way too fast, as always. I miss her so much and just an hour or so isn't enough to catch up.

Today is work, and then yard work here. Should be warm enough to do one final raking of the leaves, and then pull down the morning glory vines and hang up the outdoor decorations. Maybe I can get Scott to help me with some lights.
While Cait is at her dr appt I am going to run around town to pick up a couple of things for gifts.

Tip on Tuesday:
Let your feet stay cold??

HUGS!!!!!!!!!

laurie- hope that you were able to get all of your stuff away and then scrap. Now that I am done with my IL's book, I feel like I don't have anything left in me to scrap. But the Dec challenges look so awesome.

Phyllis- boxes and boxes... I never did get them in the attic. Your storage space is like my kitchen cabinets. I only have two bottom cabinets and I literally have to climb half way in them to get stuff out. I keep telling Gary I am getting too old and feeble to keep doing that LOL
Did you survive the Post Office? No crazy people?
How was the Nu Deli? tee- hee!

Sabine- hugs to you!! Stomach bugs are the *worst* Thankfully, I don't tend to get them *knocks wood furiously* and I don't know how Gary deals with nausea 24/7. Hope that you are 100% on the mend and are off to scrap!

Nancy- that photos of that train crash are so scary. They look like toys just scattered.
Can you post DH's corn bread recipe? The last time I made some, I got laughed out of town since it was about 1/2" high. hahah!

Hi Lilja! Hope you had a great Monday!

Trudy- feeling all better today? You did so much yesterday, I hope you didn't push too much!
So much sadness-- There was a teen couple that died last weekend too in NJ- 17 and 18 IIRC. I saw the headline that there were being buried next to each other. So tragic :(

Ewwwwww! Laurie, that smell is nasty!! Harley (my dog) used to roll in them outside- worse than skunk smell I think.

Guess it is time for me to get off the computer and throw in some laundry.... have a wonderful day!

Morning Chris and the rest of the O fam! It is back to work for me today, and shopping after work- cannot put it off any longer. I emptied the fridge before vacation and now I need to eat- well, eat healthy! I am hiding the chocolate!

good morning - my Devils lost to the Canadiens 3-2 a hard loss. Oh well they play again on Wednesday so I will go to that game and hope they win. The team is losing players to injury and last night another one went down and could not finish the game. I now have 6 players injured. I did some cyber shopping and that was fun. It is so hard to shop for grown up kids but I found my my son and his wife a hot air popcorn popper in the shape of the Stanley Cup. Now I can get them some good popcorn for stocking stuffing. Got in a good walk. It was not too cold. I think today I might go shopping for real as I really need to find some warm weather gear for my outdoor hockey game.

Chris wow that is up early. But at least you are looking at it positively and getting head start on your day. Have a good time looking for gifts. And I think you should go to the doctor while deductible is low sooner is always better.

Phylis hope the deli was great!

Laurie have a great day back at work and hope grocery shopping goes well too.

Trudy hope you are feeling much better today!

Have a great day all!

Petra, hiya! good to see you here!

Sabine, are you feeling better? this stomach thing seems to be going around EVERYWHERE! hope you're on the mend.

Trudy, great that you're feeling better! never heard of those Djeco arty toys, but now i HAVE to go see what they are! did you ever find them at a better price? i got a Christmas list from my DIL for The Grandmen and was given strick orders to only buys ONE thing, because they get so many gifts from other people. yeah. but i'm NOT Other People.... i am The Great and Powerful Gramma, who should be allowed to rain presents down on anyone i choose!!

Laurie. ewwww......... i never had a dead one in the walls that i could actually smell. what we sometimes get are the ones who make lots of NOISE inside the walls when we're trying to SLEEP!! good luck with that chocolate-avoiding thing....

Nancy every time you write something like
And my DH decided to try a new corn bread recipe.
i try to imagine my husband doing that.

nope. can't picture it. :noidea:

Lilja, have a perfect day!

for me, it's another trip to the post office. yesterday was perfect. NO ONE was there!! how'd THAT happen?? i'm usually in line behind 18 people sending boxes to every state in the USA. so, YAY for THAT!! :cheer2: i didn't eat at Nu yesterday with DD, because my stomach wasn't feeling the best. i HOPE i'm not getting the same bug that so many of you guys have been fighting! i've got UTI symptoms AGAIN, so maybe that has something to do with it. anyway, then it's straightening up the chaos in my house and making a few more Christmas cards. i got most of mine mailed yesterday, so that's done. i still have to work up the gusto to tackle getting out the Christmas decos from the blasted closet.

so, anyway. ONWARD i go into Tuesday. hope yours is a good one! :becky:

Morning ladies... chilly here today brrrr!!! Arctic winds from the north headed our way so it looks like winter is finally arriving on the Island. :mmph: Oh well still no snow and not nearly as bad as the weather in the Prairie, those poor people dealing with minus 30 or more temps. I don't miss that one bit!!!

Petra - Hey you!! How nice to see you here again, we've missed you girl!! How's the open road??

Chris - Ugghhh isn't it the pits when your sleep is interrupted by cold feet!!! But even if you had not gotten up to get socks on you would have never fallen back to sleep with cold feet!
Hope you get a chance to have a bit of a nap today, we don't want a grumpy, sleepy faery now do we?? Chris don't worry about the mammo!! Cross that bridge when you come to it, you don't even know yet if you have to have a biopsy. Still dealing with an upset tummy today, but feel ok otherwise, just many trips to the washroom, ok that's way more info than you needed to know!! :becky:

Laurie - Darn it... back to work!! Well have a great day and try to stay away from the chocolates, I can't have them in my house or they would be all gone in record time!!

Nancy - What a cool gift you found for Christmas!! Sorry your Devil's lost to the Canadiens of all the teams in the NHL I dislike the Canadiens the most!! Not sure why, but I think its got something to do with some very annoying fans that we used to know :noidea:

Phylis - I got the same orders from my DIL for Christmas gifts this year, and my hubby and I both said.....hummmmm ya, that's not going to happen!! And if she gives me a hard time about it then I will just say its the Grandpa's fault !!
zhemademe-smiley.gif
I did not find a better price yet for those Djeco Arty toys, but they are pretty cute, grandson wants the pirate ones and granddaughter wants the super hero or knights and princess ones. Still frantically searching!!

Well better get a move on and get these calendar pages finished, yes I am still working on them! Also started a painting project, a christmas theme on an old wooden ironing board that MIL found for me years ago. I will post a photo when I get it finished off. Hope you all have a wonderful day!!

Afternoon all - I made it through my work day, and grocery shopping. Phylis, if I send you my card parts, would you make my cards??

Here's my tip for Tuesday...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-Uy3V0Gzn1g

Working on thinking up excuses not to have to chaperone the middle school band to a concert at the mall this week. The kids sooo refused to listen to anything parents said to them on the last chapreone-needed event that I actually don't want to deal with them again. Yeesh. But I still want to sneak into the mall to watch my daughter perform. Bwhahahha.

Tip Two: Remember your jacket when it's cold and you go shopping not in a mall. Brrr. Would have killed for a hot coffee by lunch but gave up caffeine and dairy a few weeks ago. Sigh.
