The Loopy-O
CHEERY O
Is it just me or does it feel like Christmas never happened? The kids put most of their gifts away already, there were fewer gifts all along and it just seems... weird. No putting together tons of Lego kits, or trying to blow torch Barbie from the box she has been sewn into. And then, I was out of the house most of yesterday. I never leave the house the day after Christmas, wow.....
But we had to go get Cait's extensions in. We left at 12;30 and didn't get home until 7. I had no idea how intricate it is to do. My hair girl is amazing! To look at Cait's hair from the back, really from any point, you would never know its fake.
Krista (hair girl) put in three rows of teeny tiny cornrows as tracks across the back of Cait's head. Then she sewed sheets of hair into the braids. It was fascinating to watch. Cait is thrilled with it and now I have to call her Rapunzel. Next thing she wants to do is re-dye the front. She needs to get rid of the red/pink color. It looks so darn fake. yes, I know. The purple looked fake too, but in a different way LOL The pink looks synthetic fake where the purple looked dyed fake. See the diff?? hahahahah!!!!!

Anyway...... Cait's happy which makes Momma happy ;)

I was supposed to wirk today but my client rescheduled to tomorrow. Today i have declared a pajama day and I am goign to go through my pics that i took over the weekend. I got some really really sweet ones. So hopefully I'll some new stuff in my gallery today. Yay!!

Hope that all of you have a wonderful day.

Tip on Tuesday
thinking.... thinking.....

Hmph. Nothing.

I'll try to come up with something later

Oh Eva, that sounds like heaven. We re-watched all of them over the last couple of months but to "marathon" them like that, wow! I would be in HP heaven. oh-- my BFF got me a Harry Potter cookbook for C-mas. If there are any recipes you want to try, I'll post them for you. (Now if I could only figure out how to get my table to make the food appear like that....) :D

How was your soup Laurie? My tummy is getting jigglier and jigglier and its making me sad, but not enough to do anything about it *just yet.* Good luck to you!

Fran- sounds like you had a really lovely holiday, I am so happy for you. Your new avi is gorgeous!

Nana- Fran's spot on, just having them every day will be giving them a huge sense of stability that is a Godsend for them. Between that and the love you have for them, they will be OK. I know it.

I could share the story of my MIL's family..... it amazes me to no end how she turned out "normal" (sorry.... our joke is that her sister/brother and their stories make us seem completely sane in comparison, so i am not being rude LOL) in spite of it all. It *is* possible to break that cycle. Like I said, if anyone can do it, it will be you and that enormous and generous nana-heart!

hugs to all that stop in today!

Morning Chris- fear not- I marathon ate all the sugar I could get until my son finally left mid afternoon and I sent it all away with him. I will make soup today, it is rainy here and I need to actually do some cleaning today- I spent yesterday updating my blog, scrapping, uploading, and moving the big boxes. Chris you have now joined the ranks of Christmas is different when the kids grow older- now that mine have moved away- I really struggle with it- that is why I love to participate in the Christmas tree project at church- I get to buy a gift for a kid or two! Well I should get moving- I see it is 730 already- yikes!

Oh, a Harry Potter cook book - that I need to have! (I collect cook books). Link to amazon? I need it! LOL

I have this one: Charmed Knits. DH thought it was fun - I kept telling him what sweater, hats, scarfs etc I had patterns for, and mostly - what patterns I didn't have and wanted :)

Today - no plans! I refuse. I'm gonna scrap + shop using some coupons I got for Christmas gifts. Hard to remember, but it's an "ordinary week day" today - feels like Sunday all the time, when DH don't have to go to work.

aargh...wrote a post and then went to check something and duh...didn't use a new Tab.

A good day here...a walk before the rain came, sorting digi supplies, getting a missed order (May 2010!) of actions and styles reactivated, since I appear to have lost them, Dick off to WVA to visit the friend with ALS, watching several episodes of "Breaking Bad", have a Redbox copy of "The Help" for tonight, and a book on Dick's iPad to take to bed...tho I may stick to the Wallander mystery.

Tomorrow I have a new volunteer job at the detention center - working in the library from 8-10a.m. Not sure what I'll be doing but I think it's 'law' morning so it may be helping the inmates find law books. LOL...first I have to figure them out myself.

Chris, now that your chicks are growing up you'll enjoy that quieter and more peaceful Christmas. Less of the frenzy and more of the real spirit of the day. I'm wondering if Cait is getting hair extensions because lack of hair or just for the pure fool of it?

Fran - I would have eaten that pumpkin cheesecake for you! I had hoped Costco still had them last week but obviously I was a month too late.

Laurie - salt sure does add temporary weight and puffiness. We don't have almost any added salt to our normal food and I can always tell if I've had a salty snack at night. My wedding ring is the guide.

Linda, you sure can break the cycle or at least let those little people know a healthy way of life and love. At least they'll grow up knowing a different way. It would be nice if we could guarantee their adult choices but at least they know healthy. Those chicks are blessed to have you!

Eva, I have had mini marathons with MI-5 videos (called Spooks in the UK and probably in Europe too). My son has all the ones released in the US and we're hankering for the final season which hasn't been released in the US yet.

Well, I need to eat dinner so I can watch more tv and movies. I love a day being a couch potato like this!

See y'all tomorrow.

Evening all - I have so enjoyed having the entire day off, without anyone else at home. I am working on the kitchen piles which I have faithfully moved around most of the year. Found the registration sticker I was sure never came. Arghhh. I will not beat myself up over it. I plan on getting everything sorted by keep bills/medical, keep memorabilia... before I go to bed. I ventured into the kitchen today and made home made minestrone soup (no additional added salt) and parmesan crisp from spark people cookbook that I ordered from the library- guess I will be ordering a paper copy, not liking the tablet version too well. It has snowed all day, but the ground has been too warm and too wet to have it stick. I also walked on the treadmill for my two miles. I hope everyone else has had good days.

Thanks so much for the support ladies!!!

Mike and I have been looking at furniture today....we are going to seperate them in a few weeks (when Mike is home full time) and give them each their own bedrooms....He says they deserve to have that, and have some nice furniture. ♥♥♥ We want to get them the beds that look sort of like bunk beds...but the bottom has fabric around it to make it like a playhouse...room for toys. Between the two of us, we can keep them very active in activities, sports and such. But my first goal is to get them counseling....I think they/WE all need it!!

Okay....check out the little FAERY-ette  and my other gremlins
