*happy(ish) sigh*
And it is done.
Not that I don't enjoy Christmas because I really do. But each year seems to get harder and harder to get everything done without stress and fatigue.
Today I only have to do clean up and laundry and I think I just might stay in pajamas all day.
We had a fun morning opening gifts. The dogs opened their's first and that was a trip and a half to watch. If I had any doubts about adopting W (which you know I did this past week LOL), seeing her so happy and content with toys and family made it worthwhile. They destroyed 2 stuffed toys in a matter of minutes. This is why I only get stuffed toys from the Dollar Store.
Scott got the family a game called "Argue," where you have to argue for a certain topic. But you don't get to choose which side you are one, so I might have to argue that Santa is real or something like that. I think there are a lot of controversial cards so it should be interesting. My kids will kick my butt because they are very quick thinkers and very good bulls*** artists. heh.
Cait got me a basket of things "Bee" related. Our code words for each other is Mamma Bee and Baby Bee since that is more appropriate than using the B-Word that is what is how the whole thing started. The sweetest part was a salt and pepper shaker of a big bee and a tiny bee so I gave her the tiny bee to keep.
Gary made me a photo hanger that says "The best things in life are adopted" and has pictures of our 4 dogs, including one of my soul-mate, no longer with me but always in my heart.
(And yes, felis- I am going to read A Dog's Purpose as soon as I am done with the book I have out from the library. I know I am going to cry and cry)
The family came up and brought so much dog food and dogs toys which is exactly what I wanted.
Everyone seemed to like the gifts we gave too.
I hope that all of you had a wonderful day, no matter what you did.
xoxo
