Good morning! Happy Tuesday to you all. I hope it's a good one for you.

I am doing OK at the moment but I am going to poop out in the early afternoon. I have been up since 4 am again. After not having much success with Eva's "Calm" app, I found Tracks to Relax. You'd think that listening to bedtime meditations and stories (They have Christmas-themed ones!) would help a little. eep. Long day ahead. I am thrilled that my To-Do list is getting smaller. I think today should be the last day I have to go shopping, and I mostly need a couple of stocking stuffers and wrapping paper. That's it!

I need more coffee so I am going to post this, do quick personals and then, settle in with my food order and coffee.

hugs!

@LSlycord Recruit me to FL! I can stay in Syd's room while she is away and I promise to walk the dogs for you :D
So smart of the "kids" to switch the day to Busch Gardens for better weather. Of course, you will be waiting for her to get home.
I hope the new cleaning lady did an excellent job for you.
We sure had a lot of fun discussing everything in the old days too - lots of book discussions. Stephanie Plum- still think about how I would literally laugh out loud and the fam would ask what was so funny

@vickyday Have you gotten started with the nativity? That is going to look fab when you are done-- and all locally sourced wood :D
Thanks for the prayers for my parents. I spoke to my mom yesterday and she was either feeling better or on her best behavior. hmmmm.
Have fun at Ilene's today!

@tanteva I am happy that you are feeling better and that Hilma is almost finished. She is probably done by now and Sven must be happy too.

@bcgal00 Poor Taz, I wouldn't walk in the snow either. Does he have booties to wear? There was a beautiful husky that would get walked by us, with cream/grey fur. She would wear bright pink booties in the winter and Caitlyn and I loved seeing her.
Very smart to keep them out for only short periods of time, even if Remi doesn't like that, does she get "talky" when she wants to go outside? Stay warm!!

@BrightEyes Thanks for the enchilada update, I just added it to my Google Doc Recipe folder.
I admit, I am shocked you didn't have Die Hard LOL!

I almost had a PJ day yesterday (work clothes) but I had been making some melt-and-pour soaps and the fragrance oil was "stuck" to me. I can still smell it in my office this morning but at least it's not as strong.

@Cherylndesigns The LO of Ava's tournament was really fantastic! She is such a tough cookie, congrats to her

love to you all!

I gathered some wood yesterday and showed my woodworking hubby the picture and he said he could help me find the flat pieces for the back and the roof! Hopefully I can get started on it tonight after I get back from Ilene's!

YAY for the shrinking to-do list! BOOO for the lack of sleep!
After working in the yard yesterday I slept like a baby and hard as a rock, LOL!

Good Morning!
Up and at'em early today.
I worked in the yard yesterday. The weather was delightful and perfect for wearing a sweatshirt with something over my ears to keep me comfortable while cutting, digging and pulling up old, dead tomato plants and cleaning up my flower box beside my she shed. But I was afraid I had overworked myself the way I was feeling stiff before bed last night. But, after sleeping like a rock I feel pretty good this morning!

I'll be spending the day with Ilene and Carolyn. After I get home I think I will be able to work on my nativity (with Mark's help, hopefully!) He has some scrap wood out by the mill that he is pretty sure will work! I collected some tree branches while working in the yard yesterday that I think I will be able to use! Fingers crossed!

And that is about all I have planned for the day! Hope you all have a good day!

Hilma is finished! Will scrap a layout, but probably not today. And not tomorrow. Working 9.45 to 6. Then I will cook for 48 hrs. LOL Well ... I'll try and get some scrapping done eventually.

Tired today, but healthy. Tired cuz I didn't get to bed until 2.30, and then woke up 8.08. Big YAY!

Good morning all. Getting a rather slow start on the day. Syd got home at 3:18 and I didn't sleep until she got here. The guy that they rode with drove way too fast or she wouldn't have been home then. Sydney drives fast (her mama used to drive fast back in the day) but this kid was insane. They got pulled over because he was speeding...he'd never had any violations previously so got off with a warning. Sydney said that she told him everything to do when the lights went on...pull over here, put the car in park, keep your hands on the steering wheel where he can see them until he asks you to do something else. LOL We have drilled that stuff into the kids.

We had an officer down near Orlando OD on fentanyl a couple of days ago on a traffic stop. Fortunately, there were other cops on the stop and they were able to administer 3 doses of Norcan. Such scary times we live in. Or maybe they only seem so much scarier because I'm getting older.

I need to figure out a grocery list for the rest of the week. I think that I am in denial that this is the 20th of December! But the days race forward so I need to try to keep up. ;)

I'll be back in a bit for personals.

This is the week when we get the worst food all year. My brain is so preoccupied with cooking for Christmas, I just keep forgetting we need to eat in the days before Christmas as well. On the other hand - I do get some stuff cleared out of my cupboards, having to cook what we have at hand since I forget to shop LOL

My least favorite questions in the world..."Are you cooking something for supper?" or "Do you have plans for supper?"

Brian and Shaun are both offenders. Syd doesn't care...if I don't cook, she will!

Spent some time in the garage yesterday putting holiday storage boxes back where they belong. They were piled along side the storage racks on the floor. (Yes, I packed the holiday stuff away and put the regular stuff back in place and felt a big lift to my spirits to see it looking 'normal' again. Holidays are always difficult as DH took a down-turn then so I find it easier to get back to normal as quick as possible.) Then I loaded the wood rolling side table (from DH's office) into the SUV. Will be dropping it and a couple of other bags of donations off at Goodwill today. Been swearing I was going to do this for several months.... needed to do it before I get rid of the SUV as table is too big for a car trunk. Then I need to clear stuff out the SUV and take it to a carwash and have it detailed soon. While I was on the cleaning things out... I put several large empty boxes into the recycle bin. WOW... now I can walk down that side of the car with ease!! Will be getting one of the grandsons to haul some old electronics to the dump for me and my annual garage clean-up will be done. Yea!!!

While I was out in the garage, I dug into the freezer and moved containers of turkey, dressing, gravy, and sweet potatoes into the fridge freezer in the kitchen so they will be handy for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day meals. And, yes, there are several more 'turkey dinner' meals still in the freezer. Also spotted several containers of turkey and dumplings in the freezer so I can have them in the next few weeks to make it seem like the "normal after the holidays" meals. hahahaha Only thing I am missing is cranberry sauce - so may pick up a can if I am at a grocery store.

Sorry, no personals today... think I did a bit too much yesterday as the arm and back are not too happy this morning. CYL

Good morning, O Fam.

I've been so busy for the last few days and hardly had an extra minute. I made up my mind that I'd get in here today before things got crazy again.

Most of Friday was spent going to the Christmas light show in Tulsa and we got home pretty late. Saturday night is Adrienne and Roger's date night, but Roger was still in FL, so I was Roger. Adrienne and I went out for dinner and got home pretty late again. Sunday was Ava's Jujitsu tournament - back to Tulsa for most of the day, then met up with Roger for dinner - got home late. Monday I was pooped and am getting more energy today.

Chris @faerywings thanks for the compliment on my layout. I couldn't wait to put a layout together from the tournament. Ava's doing so well considering what a short time she's been training. We were so proud of her! She was trying to get her weight down so she could be in the lighter-weight class, but gave up - so she's in t the bottom of the weight class she's in now. The girl she lost to had a lot more weight than Ava did and lots of muscle mass. Plus, Ava said she had wrestled in high school for 4 years. That would give anybody a major advantage. She didn't even want to do "moves" - she just pinned Ava and wouldn't move. Apparently, there aren't rules about that.

I'm glad you're getting a little calmer. Have you checked at Walgreen's or CVS for stocking stuffers? They used to be my last-minute go-to stores.

Linda @LSlycord I'm sure you were a wreck until Syd got home! How scary that the kid driving was driving so fast and that he did, indeed, get pulled over. It's not our age, things are getting extremely scary! That's extremely frightening about the Fentanyl! That scares me to death! I'm starting to think they should make Narcan available to everybody - maybe they do, I'm not sure. I've heard both things. We should be able to have it on hand - just in case. (shiver)

Hope everybody is having a good Tuesday.

XOXO

Good afternoon, everyone. I have been busy all day so no time for chitchat. I was out shoveling snow first thing this morning, so I could get down the back stairs and into the yard to feed the birds. We got 3" of snow last night. It warmed up to -4 F today but tomorrow will be colder. Then it starts to warm up a bit throughout the next week but that could change, as it often does. They didn't forecast this dump of snow we got so it was a surprise to wake up to. Remi howled at me to get up and get outside LOL.

@faerywings Remi is always "talky", often she talks to the TV, she sings along, she talks to tell us something and she talks a lot.

I'll be back tomorrow. Just realized now that I hadn't popped in today :)
