The Loopy-O
CHEERY O
Hello!! Good morning to everyone!
I woke up cold, tired, and cranky. I didn't sleep well, tossing and turning from 3 am on. But something helped and I am in a better mood than I was an hour ago. Sure, the 2 mugs of coffee helped, but what really made me feel better was the thread I started yesterday. Everyone who posted something that made them happy, made me happy. A lot of people posted some of my personal favorite things- nature and pets!

I'm glad that I can start today feeling more positive than yesterday. I was disappointed and annoyed by several things. I did a little bit of shopping and other than a bottle of wine formy brother and two toys for the dogs, I bombed. Everything was picked over and TJ Maxx already had Valentine's Day stuff being stocked. The liquor store didn't have dollar scratch-offs, so I'll have to run out again.
After I got home, I worked on my plans for Friday, then texted my coworker to have her look over the changes I made. She texted back that the program was cancelled. She sent someone an email weeks ago and no one let me know. Pfft. I was somewhat relieved, it frees up time that I desperately need. But sheesh, now I am losing a day's pay, which I also desperately need. The irritation is that something is going on and balls are getting dropped. Not happy about that. I learned a while ago that sometimes things get canceled or changed so I stalk the schedule/calendar every morning to make sure I know what I am doing and when.
I get paid when I work from home, so there is at least that, but the principle is way off base, IMHO.

I have to pick up my groceries this morning, unpack them, then head into work for a couple of hours. We are rewriting all of the Girl Scout badge lessons, which should be fun.

(Still no time for scrapping----maybe some day after the holidays!)

:hug4:

I am looking at my posts from yesterday, and hoo boy, I made a lot of typos. And I use a spell checker. Sorry about that! :blushing1:

I did check out your thread of beauty, but I don't watch the news and don't know Hollywood names, so it didn't mean anything to me, BUT.....how horrible. People can be so stinking cruel! I wish everyone would just love one another,
Same same same.... I can't say it enough how happy it makes me to start my day here with all of you :lovey3:
but it is so cold, I don't even want to go outside!
That was me yesterday! It was so cold and windy, I pretty much had to convince myself to leave the house, while the Inner Me was kicking and screaming to stay inside. Today is 16* but the wind is much calmer, so there is that. How about by you?
I was hurting on my left side above my hip. I hate this getting old stuff! I think I need to get a full-body TENS thingy! ;)
Same here! I think it is my sciatica acting up and I've been using the TENS unit every night. A full-body one could work! LOL
Feel better!!

It is 54 and windy here in Florida, 13 in CT where our kids live and 9 in Upstate NY where our son is building his retirement home...still wonder why he wants to retire in the cold.
I hope that all of you can stay warm! I am with you, no idea why your DS wants to retire where it is cold! haha!
I kept my leg up most of tomorrow so the swelling is down alot.
How is it today?
I'll go post to your thread once I formulate my thoughts.
I loved your beautiful photos but I want to see Jimmy :p

So it will be good to get some family time. :xmas7:
Yipppeeee!! How was baking with the littles? And how messy? :baking1:
What a perfect gift from Brian. It really can be the little things, like new glasses that are so thoughtful.
Follow me for more wonderful life hacks... And thanks for the video link. I'm going to watch it later today. I'm making a folder with notes.
I love your life hacks! :floorlaugh:
If you ever need an idea to do with the kiddos. just ask! I hope the link helped. After I did this lesson with a group last year, a mom said how much it helped her DD grasp the concept of orbits and rotations. It is a harder concept to grasp and I found that having them use their bodies made it clearer (for me too!).
Good morning!
:hammock:
Feels hot and balmy here. 23°F here and the winds are howling again. Its crazy as can be when I am warmer then most of you. @BoatLady Debby is still warmer than us but not by much.
That is really crazy!
Yep, confirmation that Chris over does it all the time :floorlaugh::floorlaugh::floorlaugh::floorlaugh:
:coffeescreen: :floorlaugh:
I literally (said in Rob Lowe voice) laughed out loud!
Not much happening today other then cleaning and laundry. I feel overwhelmed and lost as far as Christmas decorating and cleaning and baking. Hopefully this afternoon we will get started on the decorating. Just feeling lost and spinning circles.
Off to find my sanity.
You are not alone in feeling that at all. I hope that you got everything done that you needed to do and didn't overdo it( like I do all of the time )

Wishing everyone a wonderful and warmer day- just not you, Tracy. The warm part, not the wonderfulpart. You definitely get the wishes for wonderful.

Good morning. Miss Wavy is at school...she looked so pretty in a white pleated skirt and a red sweater that said "Joy" and a string of fake pearls. She is so pretty says the very biased aunt. Cookie day was wonderful. Wavy had stomach flu the previous day so she didn't get to come. But it was so much fun to spend my time with my niece and her boys. The boys were kind of naughty...really getting into the Christmas spirit...lol. Sarah made the traditional cookies and I made the cookies with the boys. Cornflake wreaths and Nutter Butter reindeers and Cool Whip crinkle cookies.

It was a good day but exhausting. LOL And first thing Wavy said to me was when will we bake our cookies. I told her we would figure out something. Today's to do list is long...I need to write it down so I can cross things off. Got to get everything ready for going to MN tomorrow. Need to stop at the UHaul store and get paper and bubble wrap and tape, then go to the storage unit to get empty boxes.

We have a new Pizza Ranch opening in town today at 11 and it happens that this is Shaun's day off so I promised him we would be there when it opens and have lunch! Indeed it is the little things.

I'll be back for personals shortly.

Good Morning!!!
I swear my state is going crazy. If we dont have high winds (50mph+) we have single digit cold. What happened to snow and 20's that we could play outside in????? UGH.

TJ Maxx already had Valentine's Day stuff being stocked.
WHAT?????? That's beyond crazy!!!

Had a crazy busy weekend. Not sure what happened but I now I didn't sit down and chill. I need to get some personal scrapping done so I can finish November LOL Just a couple weeks behind. But its starting to feel Christmasy now, got the tree up and decorated. Still have about 1/3 of the decoration to put up and honestly, I am not feeling it. Even thought its my favorite stuff, all the snowmen!!! We shall see how it goes. I think lack of snow if making me feel off too. It just doesn't feel like December.

No idea why I thought a fast would be a good idea. I have my black coffee and its not amazing yummy without cream. But too much sugar and icky foods, needed a reset. Just not sure today was the day for it LOL Oh well, by noon it will be a 18 hour fast and that will be good. Hopefully things feel better tomorrow. Kids are sick too so I need to not get sick.

@LSlycord sounds like cookie making went amazing!!! I'm jealous of all the cookie time you have had lately. Sounds so fun and I can hear the laughter from here.

Off to get more black coffee. Have a wonderful day!!!

Just now catching up from the weekend. Saturday we had our nephew visit. We went for a 2.5 mile walk on the trails. They were wet from snow earlier in the week, and when that Virginia clay soil gets wet it turns so slippery. I was walking on the side of the trail -- which I always complain about people doing -- just to keep upright in places. I saw a tree down over the trail; luckily you could walk around it (off the trail again) but I decided I would need to get out and trim it back as well as call the county to take out the big part. (We are not allowed to use chain saws on the trail, which irritates some of the guys, they love getting a chance to make big noise in the woods.) Then we went to a winery to sit in front of a fireplace, and were told they wouldn't make a fire that day because it was too warm (mid 40s).

Well, the too warm got taken care of by Sunday afternoon as that front came in and dropped the temps dramatically. I was dreading going out Monday to address that fallen tree, but then the county guy texted me not to bother, they would take care of it all on Monday. Yay for not freezing!

Trails crew party was Sunday night and so fun. I did come up with my trivia questions. No, they're not all trail related, but that's just because I've been writing this for 9 years and I'm plumb out of trail trivia. I did interesting things in the Charlottesville/Albemarle area plus Shenandoah National Park, and was proud of myself for not including winery questions. It also was coincidentally my birthday so I got to wear this hat:

So now we're just frantically trying to get everything ready so we can leave for Seattle tomorrow. Christmas with the grandkids! Although my sister-in-law told me yesterday that the 8 year old is having a birthday party on Saturday, and is so excited that "Grandma is coming to play games with the kids"! What!!!!! I don't do kids. I'm considering going to a movie that afternoon (no, I'm sure that won't be permitted.)

Last meals here and I'm trying to use up what's in the fridge and come up with something that makes sense for a couple dinners. Just not possible, dinner is not going to be reasonable.

Late getting in here... again... I slept in until 8:30AM! ! ! ! I didn't read late - only until 9:30PM. Think it maybe because I tossed and turned until 3 AM on Sunday night/Monday morning. I was tired all day yesterday... ended up taking a PJ day and read off and on all day.

Sorry... DSis is calling... BBL

That is aggravating to find out the class was canceled and especially that you will miss the pay!
I'm not surprised by the Valentine's stuff being out already! That is aggravating, too! Commercialization!

I'm pretty sure it isn't sciatica because no pain is running down the leg. It is just one spot.
Temps about 10 degrees warmer than yesterday and the wind died down a LOT!

Good Afternoon!
Been awake since 3:41! Hubby nudged me because I was snoring and I could not go back to sleep. So I laid there until he got up at 5:30. I've been scanning pictures into the computer. I'm pretty sure some of them are duplicates, but, I wanted to be sure I have them as I want to give the books to my daughter to take back with her when they come for Christmas next month.

Went to lunch with Mark and then to the grocery store to pick up a few things, then back at the scanning. I had to quit for today as it was getting to my back! Plus it was time for me to fee Asher and time for Mark to come home.

I got Mark's laundry done yesterday, but didn't feel like tackling mine. Another day!

Guess I'll see what kind of scrapping I can do while Mark is in the woods before fixing supper.....leftover OOPS soup with cornbread!

Have a great evening!
