My poor brain is 100% scrambled. Pureed, if you will.
th

I have no idea what day it is. None. The past 24 hours I thought it was Wednesday, Tuesday, *Saturday* and now back to Wednesday.
It is in fact, according to my planner- Tuesday. *nods*

I had a busy day yesterday and felt sort of productive. Sort of. Aside from labeling the products I made yesterday, I am done with Faery-Wings. I made a whipped coffee body butter. I am not 100% sure it came out well. I over whipped it at one point, had to stick it in the freezer a few times to get it to where it needed to be in its consistency. The lip balms came out super moisturizing but I am always nervous that they aren't hard enough in the tubes. There is a fine line between too waxy and too soft. I tested it by dropping some on a cold spoon and it felt hard enough that way. Nothing I can do about it now.

I also finished up a scrap page I have been working on for a while. It's of W wearing reindeer antlers- perfect for one of the 12 Days challenges :)

I am off to my parents' in a bit. My mom asked I wanted b-fast with them. That would end up being bagels and fruits and eggs (etc etc) so I told her, no thank you. She asked again, then offered just a bagel. I knew I was losing that battle haha!
While I am out, the washing machine tech is coming- no idea what he's going to find. I was able to run another load yesterday without the error codes going off.

Wishing everyone a very happy day!

I have tons I need to do. Felt a bit down, so I thought I'd cheer myself up with a cup of java and a nice Christmas movie. Made the mistake to choose a Swedish Christmas movie. EVERY director in Sweden have an urge to pretend they are Ingmar Bergman. I'm even more down now than I was before the movie. LOL

@tanteva I like a lot of vanilla scents in the winter. Makes me feel cozier. No florals at any point though other than some true lavender. Citrus in the summer with some herbs mixed in. I made hand cream this year-- rosemary and lime and I *love* it!
I have not had a really good hot fudge sundae in -- years and years. Now I am hungry too.;)
I am good at throwing things out, Gary is the hoarder in the family. How did you do with that?
Yes, you ARE a tidy person. (and I can see that presidency coming my way-- muahahaha!! @mywisecrafts :D )

@LSlycord just *look* at your pantry!!! I am beside myself with envy. Good job!!
How long do the kids have off for break? I am sure they are happy about it.
How did Syd think the test went? I bet she flew through it

@BrightEyes How nice of the lunch bunch getting together for the holidays. I imagine everyone had a wonderful time with the White Elephant.

This is what Gary emailed me yesterday: How Felines Think
Enabler.

@bcgal00 I am with you on exhausted. How hard it must be when B gets triggered. I remember when Gary was sick and I walked on eggshells to not upset him about anything. It is really hard to live like that esp when you know there is nothing that they can do to prevent it, it's just the way their brains work. But you and J seem to have it down and I bet the dogs help so much. The rest of the night sounds wonderful!!
You crack that whip when D is home. And then teach me how to do that, I *still* have trouble asking for help although I am trying to be better

@Cherylndesigns I wish I could get back to sleep once I wake up-- another 4.30 am here... My window faces east so the sun wakes me up during the summer. Room darkening shades/blinds will help that a lot
I adored the dog photos you posted-- my goodness you have some very photogenic puppers.
That is one of my quirks with food- if the texture is "off" - I don't like it. I can't eat berries because of the seeds. Or bananas b/c they are mushy. I am absolutely *not* a picky eater. ;)
How are you feeling after the booster? Leah had hers done on Sunday, meant to ask Scott how she made out. So far, the only person I know that reacted badly to the booster is Tom. He had a worse reaction than with his 2nd. Cait's is on the 16th

@taxed4ever I am so sorry to hear about your MIL! Good, healing thoughts to her and to FIL. *fingers all crossed she is home soon* Enjoy the time with your son and family -- hope you are able to pop in before Christmas buit if not-- Mery Christmas to you too xoxoxo

Buddy-- I bet if you find your way to @tanteva house, you will find some candy there :D

@faerywings do you have a side job as an Elf? It sounds like you had a day like I have in the North Pole. Hope your day is better
today!

@tanteva java and a movie is always nice. Even though I'd prefer wine, but that isn't allowed during Elf season. Maybe next time, I should pick the movie for you....elves like action/mischief movies. And where do you hide the candy? I need to make my entry as incognito as possible.

Good morning. What a great day I had yesterday. When Syd got home from her test (that she thought was fine since she only needs 60% to pass), she agreed that since she needed to return her books (since it is dual enrollment, the school district paid for it), I should come with and we could go to St. Augustine. It was so much fun.

First, we parked the car and just started walking. We had planned to try out a new restaurant with rooftop dining but we ran into another restaurant that I had heard so much about that we stopped. The Columbia was started in the Tampa area in 1905 by a Cuban immigrant. They now have multiple locations and the same family continues to run it. The one in Tampa is the oldest restaurant in Florida and it is the largest Spanish restaurant in the U.S. Syd had chicken dish and I had 1/2 a Cuban sandwich and their 1905 salad. Everything was delicious.

Then, instead of eating dessert there, Sydney suggested we find another location for that. We found the Bar Harbor Cheesecake Factory. It's in an old house and the people who own it are the best part of the story. A few years ago (maybe 2017), there were a bunch of friends in Indiana talking about the times that the 17 of them had vacationed in Maine and how those were the best times of their lives. While talking about it, they decided that what they should do was to move to Bar Harbor, Maine and open a cheesecake restaurant. After 2 years in Maine, they realized that their restaurant there was very seasonal and decided they needed a spot where they could make money year round. So in December 2020, they opened the restaurant in St. Augustine. I talked to several of the "owners" and they are really wonderful people.

But, I would be amiss if I didn't tell you about the food. Oh my goodness. Since we were really pretty full from our lunch, we decided to share a flight of cheesecake. For $5, the give you 5 very small slices of cheesecake. We selected Bananas Foster, Georgia Peach cobbler and Fudge Chocolate with Waffle Cone. They offered free tea (hot or cold) with the dessert. Seriously, $5? It was so good...we will be back!

Ok...enough about my day! Didn't mean to write a novella. Off to do personals.

@faerywings I love your brain! I am glad that you are done with the Faerywings work and that you are heading to your parents house today for some special love (in the form of food, of course). And hopefully the repairman can figure out something about the washing machine so that you don't have to cross your fingers and hold your breath each time you kick off laundry.

@tanteva I think it is easy to feel down this time of year. And so sorry that the movie didn't help. Hope today is better!

@bcgal00 at least your weekend plans made you tired so I do know that you are human. I'm sorry that B was triggered but so glad that you and Jen were able to redirect her and that you wound up having a good time! Sounds like your husband is mainly getting celebrated now which is as it should be when someone is retiring. Is he excited about retiring?

@Cherylndesigns I think you are right about the pantry...the larger it is the more things get lost. LOL. I am notorious for starting things and not finishing so I am really trying to commit to finishing this.

@taxed4ever I am so sorry to hear about your mother-in-law. That is so hard to have illness during the holidays. I hope she is diagnosed quickly and can get home soon. Enjoy the time with the kids there and we will see you after the first of the year. 2022, is that even possible?

I woke up at 6:15 AM to a pink glow in the the bedroom. Looked outside to see the sky was glowing pink. Grabbed the camera and popped outside (still in PJs) and took a photo of the brilliant painted clouds from the front of the house. Ran to the back yard but hard to see the clouds in their glory. Back to the front and took a couple more photos. It wasn't until I loaded the photos into the computer that I noticed there was a US Mail truck in the 2nd photo!!! At 6:20 AM!!! WHAT??? Take about an early start on the day!

Yesterday was so much fun with the gals at lunch. We ended up chatting from 11:30 to almost 4PM! It was a very relaxing afternoon. Think we would have stayed longer but the hostess had an appointment to get her covid booster at 4:30. I had taken the 'get dressed up' to heart and wore a dressy velvet jacket/top with sparkly design, a long skirt and rhinestone necklace and earrings. First time I have been 'gussied-up' in over 4 years.... so took a few photos with the computer camera before going to lunch. I got home just a few minutes before our 'family chat' started so just stayed in my outfit. The kids got a huge kick out of seeing me as DSon said 'all dolled up'.

WIN_20211213_09_58_50_ProSmall.jpg

Just got a call about some paperwork that needs to be scanned and sent plus checking over some other paperwork the fellow had just sent to me... so will pop back in later to do some personals.

A quick pop-back. I was able to get the the papers scanned in then went to print a different page and the it stopped printing before it got printed. Saw a paper was stopped halfway under the print heads. Unplugged and open the back up and carefully worked the paper back out without tearing it. Turned the printer on and still have the printer error code. Says call Epson ... upshot is the printer is out of 2 year warranty by 3 months and the continued error code means it damaged beyond repair!!! So now I have to buy a new printer and will have to order it as the store is out. So off to see about getting it ASAP.

Good afternoon lovelies.

Chris @faerywings so far so good with the booster. My arm is really sore, but I made it through the night - the last one hit me in the middle of the night. I was getting a little woosie last night, but it was probably just from the tea. You know, I stay up until I'm almost hitting the wall. Haha We ended up getting them at Walmart. We were going to go to Walgreen's but the timing didn't work out there. I didn't care WHERE we got them, I just wanted to get them. I also got 4 new pairs of stretch pants. YAY.

Kay @BrightEyes those pictures are gorgeous and you look so beautiful in the photograph. I'm SO happy that you had a wonderful luncheon with the gals.

Linda @LSlycord I'm notorious for not finishing things, too. I've started projects and Chuck knows that it might be a week before I finish it. He never says anything. I've been going to plant 3 herb plants for over a week. I put them in water and they have wonderful roots and they're ready to plant. I'll do it when the spirit moves me. Haha I get energetic at night - maybe I'll get in the mood tonight, maybe not.

Hi Buddy @Buddy the O' Elf nice to see you here.

Waving to all.

Ok, I'll swing by tonight. Tell your husband to save a little bit for me. I'll make sure you are on the NICE list.
We'll be expecting you! He actually hides candy from the grandkids. I promise he'll give you some, Buddy. You're special and I don't want to be on the Naughty List!!

I think it is a good thing my head is attached to my body.... Grabbed my purse and headed out the door to go pay CC bill at the Credit Union and wouldn't you know... I had pulled out the CU check book and laid it down on the island in the kitchen. Walked out to the car and remembered I didn't have the bill with me. Unlock door, grabbed the statement - and did I see or remember the check book???? NO!!! Got all the way to the Credit Union and realized that I didn't have it. Grrrr... But - one thing did go right. Stopped at BestBuy and was able to order my new printer. It is being shipped to my house and delivery date is in a couple of days.. and shipping is free!!! Double bonus on that. So... I bought my Christmas present to myself.  :) At least it was in stock in the warehouse. Stopped to pick up mail from mailbox and it hasn't come yet today.

Just got back home and treated myself to a Godiva chocolate candy bar! I deserve it after all the craziness that when on today. I am ready to put my feet up, have a cup of hot tea and veg for awhile.

Buddy - you can stop by my place as I still have some candy in a Christmas mug filled with treats left over from the lunch yesterday. I will share with you. :D

@faerywings love your new profile photo. You are so beautiful! SO I'm getting the gist that you make lotions, etc?

@tanteva based on your interactions with the elf, is the grinch profile appropriate for you? Do I need to help you get on the nice list?

I have a problem....I've been done with Christmas shopping for a while .... and now.... I just want to go on a maniac craft shopping spree.... I might need a support group or support help me as I shop group.....maybe both. Just bring the wine.
