GooOd mOrning! How are the O-zies doing today?

I am tired but that is nothing new whatsoever. It was so chilly and rainy yesterday and not a very nice start so far today. I think it is supposed to get sunny and warmer eventually. I hope so, the fam could use a bit of sun to cheer all of us up.
Cripes, just another bad day here again yesterday. It makes me so upset that I cannot *fix* things.

I made it through food shopping fine and made tandoori tikka for dinner. I made it with chicken for us and tofu for Caitlyn. I got the pre-made marinade from the FP and if they have it again, I will grab it. It was a tiny bit too spicy for me but the guys *loved* it.

I scrapped one LO for the Masters of Scrap Contest. I liked the way it came out- it was an AJ styled one. The Minimalist challenge- that is much harder for me. I hope that I can get something done on it today.

I called BFFs mom too, she kept saying how happy it made her to hear my voice. She sounded ok, coping as best as she can. She still isn't comfortable getting out of her apt (she lives in a retirement community), but says that she needs the time by herself now and will try soon.
This feels normal at this point, it has only been a few weeks. Is that right? BFF is on the cruise half of her vacation but I know that she was concerned about her mom not getting out before she left.

I need a bit of reassurance too. I am scrolling so fat through FB and liking BFF and BBFATS's vacation photos but damn it is making me sad. And I guess a bit resentful. Not really resentful-- but "Resentful Lite." For lack of a better description LOL
It is hard, I am here trying to help Gary and I come to grips with where we are right now with bad health and finances and no sign of that changing. I know that *everyone* has their demons, their difficult times. I get that. I dunno. Just one of those days...

Today, I am off to clean so I can put my headphones in and ignore life for a couple of hours. Gary hates that I clean feels that it hurts my body and health. He doesn't understand that I *need* to have an outlet, a time where I am not stressing over anything in my own house. It is a mental break for me. Not as fun as when I am with my flowers though.

xoxo!!

I feel like I should submit a claim to my insurance company so you all can bill me for an Hour Therapy Session! :pound:

Trudy- ahhh! How hard it must be to have your Gary bored while you have so much to do.
I hope that you had a great day swimming. I am horrified by some of the pics I have seen of the smoke and fires. So crazy. Do you know when Season 2 of Stranger Things is coming out? I am impatient!!!
Gary fixed the wii remote so hopefully we can play again sometime soon. The funniest thing is that it took me forever to realize that it wasn't me that couldn't steer the Kart. I thought that it was not moving b/c I am a dork and couldn't not hit the fence on the track

Nancy- where are your DS and DIL off to for their vacation? Hope that he is better once they are on the road. I tease Gary about how I could have fallen in love with someone who hates sand/sun/ocean.
Am I the only person who doesn't watch GoT? I wish that Outlander was onNetflix or Amazon. Maybe someday. I would love to see that.

Rae- I was upset that out DVR cut off the last couple of minutes of OB. We set it to stop recording 10 minutes after the show for this last episode. How much would that suck to miss the ending??
Gary didn't make it to the store with me. Not up to it :(
I love coming in the house and seeing my puppies tails wagging a mile a minute. Beckham must have missed his dad lots.

good morning - it is cloudy drizzly and damp. They, weathermen, are promising sun by the afternoon. I can only hope. The highs are only in the low to mid 80s and lows in the 60s. WOW and this is Aug hard to believe but I am not complaining. Though not sure I like waking up and have to put on a sweatshirt. Made an awesome dinner of salmon and Freekeh (green wheat with lots of fiber) mix with spinach, sweet peppers, olives, dates and lemon juice. OMgosh it was fantastic. The last time we had Freekeh with mixed it with kale so this was a bit different but both were so good. Watched the movie The Boss with Melissa McCarthy and Kristen Bell. It had an interesting premise but the language was so foul that it really ruined the movie for me. Got a page scrapped so that was good. Today I have a few errands to run.

Chris so sorry the family is a bit down. It is much easier to be up with sunshine. I could never live where there is not a lot of sunshine. It is hard to learn that we parents can not fix everything. My son and DIL are heading to fun spots in Virginia. They want to go to where the wild horses are Chinkatink I think. I like listening to music too when I clean it really does take away the stress.

Trudy it is hard to have some one around 24/7. I do enjoy my alone time. He will figure it out when he retires, well you both will figure it out. But in the mean time nice to get a few projects completed. I am sure he missed your help. Hope you had a great time with the inLaws.

Rae hope the crossing was not too bad. Glad that you had such a great time with Beckham. Congrats on feeling so good on your walk. I am so happy for you!

Have a great day all!

Morning O-zies!! Still so smokey here in the Valley! Another warm day though and it would be so much warmer is the smoke didn't keep the sun from shining down on us! Enjoyed a lovely day at the In-Laws and went swimming a few times, it was nice to catch up with them and just hang out for a bit. We always have a good visit when its just the four of us. When the other siblings are there its like MIL doesn't know how to share herself with her three kids and usually just focuses all her attention on her youngest daughter. It really pisses off the other sister!! So we really enjoy our time with them when its just us.

Chris - I am so sorry that it has not been a very good time for you lately!! Hang in there kiddo :hang in: take one day at a time and know that we are all here for you!! Wish I could make things all better for you!! Perhaps some puppy kisses would help?? :pupkiss: Glad that you can at least escape with your headphones and have some alone time while you clean. I can totally understand that it would be better to do that with your flowers though!!
Oh and BTW Outlander is on Netflix, at least its on Netflix Canada, you will have to search your Netflix I bet its there!!

Nancy - Ugh on the bad weather today! We sure could use some of that moisture here, so could you send it along please :becky: Your meals always sound so good!! I too wish that the movies would not feel the necessity of having such foul language!! It really does not make the movie any better. Sad that Melissa McCarthy stoops to that level of comedy!! She is so funny! I have told my DH that he can work until he is 100 LOL He really doesn't have any hobbies and I have tried to get him to take up one for years now. No luck so far.

Rae - Sure hope that the Border Crossing was not too bad! You will miss Beckham, but he will be happy to see his owner again! You have been busy with so much work, it must have been nice to just chill at your trailer.

Alright, today I go for my second microblading. I should have been done before I left for Ontario, so I am happy to finally get it done. Other than that I am editing some photos and will hopefully get them sent out to Heather before the end of today. Trying my hand at the Scrap challenge at Scrapaneers, not sure I will be able to keep up, but it will be fun to try! I hope you all have wonderful day!

Good morning, ladies. Taz is snoozing at my feet (exhausted after the long wkend away) and Darrell is off to work after his 4 day vacation. He'll be working late tonight so I think I'll make eggs and bacon for myself. We caught up on our TV shows last night (GOT and Big Brother) while doing updates on my all-in-one computer in the LR. I was going to scrap while watching TV but that never happened. It took forever to do all the updates and then my tablet wouldn't work. What is it with me and Wacom tablets???? I seem to have nothing but trouble with them lately. I had to re-install the driver for it a few times before it would work again. So by the time it was up and running, it was bedtime. I was exhausted and slept right thru the night. That almost never happens LOL. It felt so good.

Chris and Trudy - have you posted your scrapaneers challenge pages yet? I did the minimalist one and posted it but haven't put it in online galleries yet. I want to do the other challenge later today and then will post them both in galleries. I love seeing what everyone is creating. Even if we don't win any of the challenges, we still get a participation prize, I believe.

Chris - hugs and hope that good things come your way. You deserve it. You are such a kind, thoughtful person. I hope it helps to vent to us and let it out. Then hopefully you can shake it off, plow ahead and carry on. The vacay jealousy is totally understandable. I feel that way about some of our friends who are our age and have paid off mortgages and are ready to retire. Not us, I'll probably have to work until the day I die. Too many bills and payments to be able to afford to retire anytime soon. So ya...I get it. I don't really begrudge our friends' situations but darn it...wish I didn't have to work so hard and have so many bills. But then I do what my mom taught me....think about others, what struggles they might have, and there is always going to others that are better off, and worse off, than yourself so be grateful for the blessings you have. My mom was such a zen kind of person.

Nancy - never heard of freekeh before. I know I've said it before, but dang....your meals are just so interesting and varied. I'm the total opposite now...we seem to eat the same meals over and over, my poor hubs is probably bored to death with what we eat but he doesn't cook so he gets what he gets and isn't allowed to complain :)

Trudy - how nice to get to have a quiet visit and go swimming too. I'm bringing my bathing suit the ranch this coming wkend and hope to go for a swim. So the second microblading is the end of it? Does it grow back or will you not have to pluck anymore? Mine are super thin and don't really grow so no big deal for me. As for rain....I saw this morning that we are finally supposed to get a bit of rain next Sun-Mon and the temps are dropping quite a bit. We'll be freezing our butts off, after becoming so used to all this heat LOL. Have fun editing all your wonderful pics! They'll keep you busy with scrapping them too.

I'm getting to work now, after grabbing another coffee. Have a great day, everyone!

Guess I'm the lucky one today with exquisite weather - totally blue sky, warm but not hot. We had lunch with a friend then drove out to buy niger seed for the finches.

Chris, so sorry things are getting you down more than usual. Hope the time cleaning helps without wearing you out. I'm certain we can all understand vacation envy! I wish I were still able to do some of the travel others are doing but can't handle lots of walking among other things. And do vent away - hope it is some help. And, I barely know what GoT is, let alone seen it. We don't do any TV other than the "free" channels and watch movies from the library. That's it.

Nancy, I too enjoy hearing about your fascinating meals. Hope you are feeling better. As a horse crazy girl one of the many horse books I read was Misty of Chincoteague. As an adult I've been birding there and seen the ponies. Hope they enjoy the area.

Trudy, hope the rains come soon for your area! Glad it was a nice time with the in-laws. The editing should be fun given what your photos are from. Hope your MG can keep working as everything will change when/if he's home full time, especially without an outside interest.

Rae, you just keep so busy! Hope you can find out the Wacom problems. That does sound weird. And if your meals might seem boring, they sound very tasty!

Hope it's a pleasant day for all.
