Happy Tuesday, friends!
How are you all doing today? Did you have a nice Monday?

I did! I caught up on a few house things before I headed to Weis. I did my walkthrough and made some (a lot!) notes. I had trouble finding the sweet birch tree that Lauren uses for the sense of smell so I decided to loop through again. As I started the second trip, I realized I didn't have my walkie on me. I grabbed one in the office, so did I leave it on the shelf in the bathroom or did I drop it on the trail???
This is not the first, and definitely will not be the last, time I did this. ;)
I walked the trail again, didn't see the walkie-talkie, but I did find the birch tree. Guess where I found the walkie? On the shelf in the bathroom. Wish I could have remembered putting it there and not picking it back up. pffft!
Lauren was in a car accident (she was parked on the side of the highway and a tractor-trailer tire came off and hit the back of her car!) so I am going with the assumption that I'll be leading the Forest Bathing walk and if she is up to joining, she can make sure I am on track. But other than that, I would love to see her take it easy for a bit. Crazy how all of the FT staff have been ill/injured recently. :/

We are heading down the shore this morning. The weather looks like it will be nice, not too hot with some cloud cover. I am excited to see the ocean ♥
Not looking fwd to the drive. I sure hope that the drivers are better today than they were last week when I was stuck in the middle of the stupidest NJ drivers ever.

We are leaving here around 8 so I need to sign off soon. HAGD!

@AK_Tracy It would be cool to get apples but the coolest thing is hearing how DS is so nurturing to them. Love that!
I hope that you can get some scrapping in that you are satisfied with. I hate when that happens to me and everything I do looks like ****.

@BrightEyes It seems like it has been a long time since you took a PJ day, bet it felt wonderful to be all cozy with some books.

@Terri M Woo hoo for getting all of that biking in with the nicer weather!

@vickyday Glad that you and Mark were feeling better. Lots of scrapping for you yesterday!

And I am posting this with a minute to spare, I gave myself until 7 am, and it is 6.59! :rotfl:

Have a great shore day, Chris! I'm jealous, I haven't been able to get there at all this year and this month has too much packed in it so not sure I'll get there at all.
Say hi to the ocean!

Have fun at the shore today! I'm looking forward to seeing the ocean next week!
Hope Lauren is OK!

Good Morning,
Rain today. Couldn't go back to sleep after DH left for work at 5:30, so I got up finally at 6:22.
Mark and I will probably go out to lunch again today, but other than that, nothing planned. I need to move pics from the cameras and my phone. Maybe I will do that.....maybe.....but not feeling it right now, LOL!
Have a great day!

@faerywings Yippeeeee you are taking some time for yourself and what better place than the ocean. Salt air, sand, pounding waves and gulls screeching...best medicine ever. Where are you going? We cruised the shorline of NJ in our boat a few times in the past on our way to the Chesapeake bay, it's a long time off shore!!!

Not much happened here yesterday. I went to the house to clean up the scraped paint pieces from the front door. Pulled some weeds for the pigs. I made some reservations for our trip home, so hard to do, with finding the right place within our driving/towing rules. 300 miles, 3 hours or arrive by 3. Return trip will be mostly 300 mile rule. I always like to find a little adventure in each area too. Still trying to get a place to stay near my brother in TN I haven't seen him in 2 years, he wants us to stay at his house but this bigger 4X4 truck will make it hard to maneuver there.. Jay went to lunch with old workmates so I had 2 hours to myself. I talked to 2 girlfriends on the phone. I picked fresh green beans and squash from the garden so we had that for dinner. Found out one of our old marina friends passed, it's so hard to loose good friends. He had been sick but it's still hard for us. We will go to the wake tomorrow it's over an hour away so will get together with a more friends to grab a bite to eat after.
One of the giant sunflowers broke yesterday so I am setting the seed head on a big rock hoping for a photo shoot.
Only a deer on trail cam last night.
I cleaned the camper floor yesterday how can 2 people get it so dirty???
The highlight last night was a Barred Owl well actually 2. One was close probably at the edge of Mike's property the other farther away they were talking to each other for a good 45 minutes, I couldn't go to sleep till the were quiet but so worth hearing them. I woke Jay up so he could hear them too.
Going to get the extra lawn chairs out today to wash for Reeds party this weekend. there are 50 people invited so they will need the extra chairs out.
I'm going to do laundry today and I think we are going to lunch there is a new place here in town Cajun Boil...yum.
That's about it for me.
Have a good day everyone.

Whoo-whee... It is only 65*F right now (8 AM) so have the house opened up to air out!!! Love the cool air blowing gently through the house. It will be back up into the mid-70's for lows this week and near 100*F. I dug out a long sleeveless dress to wear yesterday (muumuu style). Much cooler than shorts and tee shirt. Too bad I only have 2 of them - 1 knee length and 1 ankle length. They are even more comfortable than my PJs!! :floorlaugh: The pest control guy will be here today so I need to be dressed early.

@faerywings hope the traffic is light and you have a good time at the shore. Sorry to hear about your friend and her accident.

@BoatLady Sending good traveling thoughts your way. I like your travel limits... 300 miles or 3 PM. When do you think you will be back to your home in Florida?? Sorry to hear about your friend's passing.

DD#1 and her son brought supper over here last evening. He had received a large chicken taco platter with all the trimmings from the food pantry that needed to be eaten up soon. We each had 3 big tacos and there was enough left for another meal for him. I am sure going to miss DD#1 when she goes back home to Arizona the end of this week.

Need another cup of coffee... HAGD

Cool rainy morning. I wish I had a covered porch so I could sit outside with a book and listen to the rain on the roof. I have to go grocery shopping and pick up a book at the library but otherwise a quiet day ahead of me. David went to the doctors office for blood tests to be taken before his checkup next week, and turns out (between the long list of doctors he frequents) he's already had all of them within the last couple months so he fasted all night and half the morning for nothing.

Guess where I found the walkie? On the shelf in the bathroom.
That's usually the first place I look. Of course there was the time my keys were lost for 2 days and I finally found them underneath a watermelon in the refrigerator. Don't ask me how that even happened.

We are heading down the shore this morning.
That's one of the things I miss about NJ. My friend and I used to take a day down to Sandy Hook at the drop of a hat. Back then I was working, so it required getting out early on a Saturday morning.

I think we are going to lunch there is a new place here in town Cajun Boil...yum.
That sounds delicious!
My mom just sent me an article about a new restaurant in Fort Myers she wants to go to when we are down there in October. It's a Japanese-Italian fusion. What the heck? But, hey, I'll try anything once.

Good Morning!

Have a blast!!!! Hope traffic wasn't bad and you had a good drive.
That's about it for me.
Okay, yeah that comment :floorlaugh: I read that and laughed. You do so much in one day that I feel like a slug. :heartpumppink: I also love the travel rules you have. My grandpa when he RV'd full time had a rule, had to be parked and set up by 4 so you had better have a place picked out by 3. Cause 5 o'clock cocktails were happening.
I am sure going to miss DD#1 when she goes back home to Arizona the end of this week.
I bet it will be strange to have the house to yourself again. Glad you were able to enjoy the windows open this morning. Fresh air is so nice and just feels good.

Not much happened yesterday. Daughter's hubs (while at work) always finds good deals online and so he found new kitchen cabinets. So we spent the day hauling cabinets instead of staying home. We figured the miles by the time we were done, had to make two trips to get the cabinets, 120 miles. What was suppose to be a quick trip to check the bees turned into all afternoon driving back and forth lifting cabinets into and out of the truck. Thankfully it wasn't raining but it was almost too hot to move like that. I had also chosen not to wear compression and man had I know what the day was going to be, I would have put it on. The swelling was not near as bad as in the past but it for sure proved I need compression on busy days.

Today will be spent doing what didn't get done yesterday. Off to grab more coffee and mentally prepare to get the house cleaned. Have a wonderful day.
