Third rainy day in a row in NJ. I hope the sun comes out tomorrow!
Today the kids and I are going to do the last minute back to school shopping with my mom. Nope- no Staples or Target or Walmart. Its Hot Topic for us... Scott wants a couple of more t-shirts and Cait has to get her kooky over the knee socks. Def. not your basic every day items.;)

It really poured here all day yesterday. I was so surprised that we didn't flood our basement. I guess that is testimony to how dry the ground is- it just sopped the rain up like a Shamwow!

So whatcha all doing today?

Clara- Allergies are really bad up here too- but at least I am not dealing with all of the campground stuff (((hugs))) Any news on the house yet? You got all my fingers and toes crossed for ya!

Meg- congrats on the work! a friend of mine is an electrician and his biz was going really slow. He started posting on FB and he has gotten so many jobs from that. I am so happy for you!

Hi Trudy! How was the dinner party? (besides loud? LOL)

Kirsta- oh I wish we didn't have humidity here, I'll take sun and humid over rainy and humid any day. Hope you and your girls had fun!

Good morning all. It's still quiet here. Yesterday both kids were up before 6. I was going to get them up to practice for school but decided I'd let them sleep until 7:30. So I have a few more minutes of quiet...

GOOD MORNING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am off to a really slow start this morning....I did not take the Allergy medicine last night, so I crashed around 9 or so and I slept so good last night....I was dragging my butt this morning though.

Highs today 68 WOW!!!!!!!!! what a change....It's was 92 and SOOOOO HUMID yesterday!! It's very overcast out there too.

SOOOOOOOO....I made a decision yesterday...something Mike and I have talked about for years....we never do anything SUPER DUPER fun....and I want to!!!! So I told him I was calling to get info for a cruise...and we ARE going in March....he sort of laughed at me...but I told him I was serious!!! WE are not getting any younger....and I have never been on one and I want to go!!! This is the only way we ever get to do anything is if I really PUSH the issue. Now....if the money all comes together it will be fabulous....I just don't want to go in a hole to do it.

Alrighty...I am going to get something to eat...and I will be back in a few minutes....My tummy is growling!!
 
hey ladies. just taking it easy so far this morning. addie is still asleep and so i'm checkings things out here and ethan is on his ds although every once in a while starts complaining that it stinks. i of course can't smell it. he has determined it is the cat and wants to spray her down with febreeze. lol.

so, hopefully we'll hear about the house today. they don't have to do any rental history calls because we have owned a house longer than the three years they go back. so i have everything crossed that we will be outta the campground next week. i am soooooo hopeful. i don't see why it wouldn't work out but waiting still makes me nervous, ya know?

anyway this weekend is ethan's birthday and i have no idea what to do for it. i know we'll be getting him a new bike because of the unfortunate bike incident in wisconsin, but i have to get him something besides that since that would be horrible if that was all we did since he had a perfectly awesome bike. then there is the issue of what to do in a town i don't know. he had wanted a party until i reminded him we didn't have enough friends yet. so we'll have to come up with something. i just wish i had easier internet access to look stuff up. if nothing else bbq and the pool will work.

well, that is about it...

chris - love your tuesday tip. and i love the last school shopping stop. i had to go buy a bunch of stuff yesterday but it was all supplies. i did buy ethan some new school jammies a while back. i told him he could wear PJs to school as long as they were clean and he had done his hair and brushed his teeth.

linda - i hope you are enjoying your last few minutes of peace. glad you are spending it with us.

omgosh...it's only Tuesday and we've had a CRAZY week so far!!

Last night this mongo storm hit us and knocked our power out, so i packed up the kids and took them to Oma's (my mom's). This was after we went over to my in-laws to help my fil mop up a huge mess made by a tree falling INTO his roof. It was nuts!!!

So this morning we are still organizing our school books and shelves and boxes. The kids each get a box with file folders for each week. ON the folder, I put their assignments and then they can put their work inside of the folder for me to check. Actually, I have a cute little wire in-box that they usually put their work in. I still have loads of Cora's summer work I still have to check...

gosh...did i mention i need more hours in my day?????

Hey, good news though...on top of all of that craziness, I finished my last FOUR YOU mini kit and I'm uploading today!! yipeeeeee!!!

okay, off to get some breakfast (left my milk at my mom's) and some more school supplies...and maybe some groceries...

i might need you to pray for me...i'm out of time!! aaaaaaaaaaacccccccccckkkkkkkkk!!!

Good morning beautiful Ladies!! My last day with DD :hurt: we are going for lunch with my sisters and then home to start packing her suitcase and see how much stuff she can't fit in so we can mail a box out to Ontario for her. I can't believe how quickly the time went by :shocked: We have been through so much together and have become very close. I am happy that she has found someone who loves her and that she is very happy with him, but she is so far away and I don't get to see her that much :sad: At least we will all be together again in January and you never know I could make a surprise visit perhaps if money allows. Anyway enough of the self pity... I hope everyone is having a great Tuesday! Our birthday dinner for MIL was very loud Chris :horn: and we ate too much as usual when we all get together, but oh so much fun!!

okay, so...we got the house BUT...now I can't get the money situation all figured out. I thought it was easy but then when we tried to use the shared branching with credit unions only they are putting a hold on the check for 10 DAYS!!!!! So, I am trying to get it all figured out by tomorrow so we don't lose the house. I thought it was all worked out and I was the big planner and then the big plan went in the trash can. UGH!! So, onto anything else as I sit waiting for a bank manager to call me and let me know what they can work out. All to send a stupid fax. A bank wants their stupid money to send a fax. Ugh!! Stupid bank stuff!

Hmmm... My Tuesday...

I worked all day at my PT job as an assistant to a home appraiser. Oh my goodness it was a nightmare! One of the reports I had to fill out was like HEARST CASTLE! That place was ridiculous to sketch, even using the computer program!! Then once the sketch was in the report, the program kept freezing because even though the computer is BRAND NEW -- the report was too massive for it to handle! It should of taken me two hours -- instead at 3 hours my boss sent me home & said she'd try to finish it herself.
I'm just glad the report before the massive one was slightly easier :)

Now I'm home & it's the DH's night off! We're embracing our geeky side & watching the Discovery Channel tonight!

Tomorrow I need to work on four different websites -- starting one, finishing one, and drawing up the contracts & paperwork for two. Wish me luck!

& My Tip for Tuesday --
Always check those yogurt parfaits at the grocery store!! I'm used to the ones at McDs that are vanilla yogurt with fruit. But this morning in a rush I picked up one from Fresh & Easy (American version of Tesco, brand new chain only on the West coast.) Uhhh.... it turned out to be plain yogurt instead of vanilla! The sharp sour cream like taste was too much of a surprise this morning.
