Happy Tuesday, O-Fam!! Hope that all of you are well and that no one hurt their eyes by looking at the sun. Of course, most normal people are smart enough not to do that. (Most people. Not sayin' names... Just... *most* people.)

We had a small impromptu get together at my neighbor's house to watch it together. Gary had built this viewer and we got to see it clearly on that screen. BFFATS came over with glasses and that was super cool too. I hope that Nancy was able to get some really great views in SC.

I was able to get a bit done yesterday, I am feeling somewhat more productive which is always a nice thing. I scrapped my LO for one of the MoS challenges, worked a bit more on my Sept Challenge. Laundry, cooked dinner, played with dogs. Wow, I got more done than I had thought!

Today is food shopping (yuck) and the lake (yay). Who has good plans for today?

Hugs and love to all!

Jean- we looked at the shadows from the trees on the street and I saw all of the crescents you had mentioned, that looked fantastic. We also noticed that the birds quieted down, not counting the rooster that crows non-stop.
I should get some pics of the bees on the coneflowers. Every time I walk past them, there is usually at least one buzzing around.

Oh goodness, Rae! Another busy work week for you, yikes. But it seems like you have time scheduled well and that is a big part of the battle.
It is too bad that you missed meeting up with the group, but it must have been perfect wandering around by yourself. Kind of how I realize that I feel about zoos :D
That photo is jaw-droppingly good!

Trudy- that is cute that your Gary called to remind you to not look at the eclipse. I have to admit, Cait and I were laughing that the more warnings we heard, the more tempted we were to look. hahah!!
I hope that Heather and family are able to get a flight out to you for the holidays, I can only imagine how happy that would make you.

I am off to the Gallery and then the supermarket.

Morning O-zies! Another glorious sunny day here today and I am going to be visiting my cousin this morning and then my niece from Australia this afternoon. Hope to squeeze in a swim or two today also. Pool is closed until mid September so its going to have to be the Lake or the river for me.

Chris - I saw your page for MOS it is fabulous!! I have an idea of what I want to do for that challenge, its finding the time and deciding what supplies to use, that is the hard part! I haven't checked out the shape shifters challenge yet, but I better get busy with it or it won't get done in time. Sounds like you all had a great time watching the eclipse and I had to giggle at your comment about how MOST people were smart enough not to look at the sun :pound: (only a moron would do something like that in front of millions of onlookers!)

Jean - I too noticed the shadows because of your suggestion, that was so cool! It was so strange to see the house get all dark and shadowy and yet to look outside the sky was bright and blue. Hope you got to see the eclipse under a clear sky also.

Rae - Sure do hope that your work day is not too bad today, it is far to beautiful outside to have to be stuck in front of a computer all day long! Hopefully you and Taz get out to enjoy a lovely walk sometime today!

Ok ladies, I need to hit the shower and get ready to go to my sisters, then my brothers, I need to pack a lunch and my bathing suit and towel and hit the road. I hope you all have a super day!!

Good morning, ladies. Just a quick pop in to say hi. I'm slammed with work today (what else is new lately LOL). Poor Taz last night, I think I've mentioned that he gets freaky when he hears loud bangs (car backfires, fireworks, etc) and now we can add the burst of noise from the carbonation of the soda machine we have. It takes a few pumps and then lets out a sound like a horn. He flies down the stairs and under my desk. I refilled the water bottle last night around 8:30, he ran downstairs and stayed there until bedtime at 11:00, and even then I had to go down and carry him up the stairs b/c he decided he didn't want to leave my office. Poor little guy. He sure hates quick loud noises.

Chris - had to laugh at your "most people" comment b/c we all know who that refers to LOL. Darrell said it just proves he isn't human, as his eyes weren't damaged LOL. Enjoy the lake this afternoon. Have fun!

Trudy - Enjoy the family visit today and maybe getting in a swim.

Jean - Have fun at the music gig today.

Gotta go get started on my work day. Have a wonderful day, everyone.
