Daily Ooo's: Tuesday August 2

Oh my-- I need a vacation. alone. I am tired of being in the middle of my family's drama. yesterday it was between my mom, my brother and my SIL (who was not present).
My day started going downhill after my dad picked me up from the service center for my car. I mentioned how I couldn't wait to see my baby, and he tells me that he is in day care. Apparently all the times i said to my bro
that I couldn't wait to see him, he never thought to tell me that he wasn't going to be home. (My SIL went back to work yesterday, my brother had off, so we all assumed that he would be home with my brother).

Then Scott runs over a wasp nest while mowing the lawn for my dad. Gets stung 5-6 times. My brother comes to my mom's house for lunch to make life "easier." Then he and my mom begin to argue over details on the yet to be in existence Christening and Baby Shower. he and SIl have been discussing dates for the Christening but nothing is firm yet, so we are stuck waiting to work onthe shower. And now I hear she is mad that she didn't get a shower yet. Ahhhh! Another day of referee-ing.
I am too tired for Bull pucky in my life. I try to be as polite as can be but then its like-- "You are both acting like children, so knock it off!"


When I get hoime Cait is all drama queeny. She walked through a lawn that had pesticide flags and was convinced she was poisoned. Meanwhile she got only a couple of hiurs of sleep, so I try to tell her to take a nap and she'll feel better, but it is so much more fun to mope.

Wow.
I think I needed a bit of venting, would you say? :yell:

Anyway- yesterday is over and today is anew day, right?

However, that photo is gorgeous!!!! I will admire it from afar.

Oh soul Sista Clara-- I am right there with you!!!!! I am so glad it is not just me and my family. Hang in there and keep on deep cleansing breaths. After that- wine/beer/vodka/xanax... pick your poison LOL

Eva- hugs to you and to Scandinavia. I am starting to believe that many Americans have become so desensitized to violence. But that is an enormous tragedy and I hope that your counties heal and move forward without the "Blame Game" that the US media is so fond of.

Laurie- more hugs. No news is good news?? Hope so.

It is 1:30 PST and only Chris has stopped in? What the heck? I guess that means I have to ramble. Heehee! Today is a wedding day. I am printing menus for the rehearsal lunch. It is at a bar and my sister didn't want everyone having a free for all off the menu and my mom and I didn't want her to just order a bunch of bar appetizers so this is the compromise. She was not happy about change at first but we talked her out of taking on the alcohol responsibility and just purchasing food. At first she didn't understand why the rehearsal stuff wasn't just included in the wedding planning and budget so my mom had to inform her she had zero intention of taking on what is the groom's responsibility. My sister doesn't talk about this stuff (wedding ettiquette) with her fiance so I don't know if he even has a clue about much of it. I mean I think he knows they are paying but not that it is his responsibility. Peruvian wedding stuff is different than American wedding stuff. Oh...I have the greatest story. So, Marlo's mom has only been to one of her kids' wedding and I think it was one of his brothers. Anyway, she didn't like the bride so she sat in the last row, wore a red dress and smoked cigarettes through the whole wedding, which I am assuming was at a Catholic Church. I thought that was hilarious. No issues with that for this wedding since Alisha has never met his mom and she lives in Peru and they have to get a visa just for short trips from there and they rarely get approved. LOL!! Marlo's mom and daughter will both not be there because of that. Very crazy stuff.

Like I said today is a wedding day. My mom is cleaning the refrigerator for flowers and cake. I'm making menus and schedules and I have no idea what else needs to be done today. But I gave myself to my mom to do her bidding. My dad and I took the car I'm borrowing to check on pricing to have the dents removed that my mom put in it. The pricing wasn't bad. I was excited. Not that I'm paying for it...but still. I didn't want my parents to have to use their insurance if it was preventable. Less than $500. Yay!! Maaco rocks.

Okay, I have to get back to work on wedding stuff.

Chris - Can I mix my poisons?? I told my sister if she was freaking out I was sneaking xanax into her coffee and she might want to consider not drinking...just in case it gets slipped into her drink. Don't want a 16 Candles scenario. That really sucks about your brother and the baby and all the referree-ing. That is too funny about Cait thinking she's been poisoned...when she chose to walk through the yard despite signs. LOL!! Good luck not letting your head spin like Linda Blair. That could be messy.

Ugh!!!! My menus are smearing...I guess they won't be super pretty then. The paper is too thick. Grrrr!!
