The Loopy-O
CHEERY O
 I had another bad night's sleep. I woke up at 1.30, then again at 3. Ray needed to go outside around 3.30 and then I think I was able to get back to sleep from 5-6. Not sleeping is the pits. I know that all of you understand that, sadly.

Yesterday didn't turn out as I had planned. Not surprising, do they ever? Haha!!!! Poor Ray. Early in the morning, she needed to go outside and she was just looking at Gary to get his attention when she started to poop. As I was getting her out the front door, she kept going. My poor old baby. We cleaned that up and since the weather was so darn perfect, it was a good day to steam clean. I was able to get my groceries (a perfect order this time around!) and then vacuumed and steam cleaned. The rugs look amazing as they always do, might as well admire it since that only lasts for a day or so. :p After all of that, my hands were hurting too much to do yard work so I dusted my office area and bedroom. After *that* - my foot and ankle were bothering me so much that I didn't think it was a good idea to stand for another hour or so to cook dinner. We ordered pizza instead. Poor Gary looked at his stuffed pepper very disappointedly.

It rained overnight but as of now the sun is shining and everything looks very green and bright. I am going to be outside as much as I can but I need to let things dry a bit first.

Gratitudes:
-fresh air
-puppy snuggles

Trudy- the Wine Festival sounds like it was amazing, what a nice time you had and how pretty the vineyards are. I love the idea of having "passports" for the festival. Makes it feel like an adventure! How was the visit with the ILs? Did SIL meet up too? I feel for her, it has been hard keeping our bubble small too but I have to remind myself that it will be much harder if one of us got sick. :(
Isn't it strange what groceries you can and can't get? Yesterday's silly item from the Shop from Home Shopper was my ginger root. I requested .1 lb. I don't know how much that would translate too in oz. off the top of my head but it should be just an inch or two of a knob. The shopper must mot have realized that you can break the root and it is fine because I got a huge -- and I mean huge- branch, looks like a pair of lungs that is bigger than my hands. LOL What in the world can I do with that much fresh ginger?

Jean- that is a good way to have your day disappear, very exciting to follow the gravestones and family line. Do you think it will be hard to find the missing records or it is more like a puzzle that they more you fill in, the easier it gets? I guess it has to depend...
Hope that the weather is nice for you!
My kids are so careful with their get together. At one point the other night, Cait texted me that she thought Scott was too close to his friend and asked if I could text him to move, thinking it would be better coming from me. I texted him that I been by the kitchen sink, looked out and thought he was too close and could he move so I don't worry? He texts back that he didn't realize and moved closer to Leah.
I am trying to not worry about my nephew (on campus at Pitt) and my niece going back to Delaware Valley next week. I saw that USC is going remote after four clusters popped up. :(

Nancy- I see you that are enjoying the fresh air too and this is perfect weather for Luther. "even you need to sleep" hahahah!!! That had me LMBO!!!! You must be in hockey heaven!

Cheryl- 10 days until the movers get there. Hoo boy, I am stressing for you! Is it weird having the house mainly packed? How is the puppy holding up?
Hang in there, keep breathing!!

Morning ladies! We are so much cooler here today and it is very breezy! It is nice to have the windows open and cool the house down! Had a great visit with the In-Laws and yes SIL Linda joined us on the beach as we did our social distance visiting! We all had a great swim or two, but the breezes picked up later in the day and so we moved to a less windy spot and soaked up the sun for a bit longer. It was nice to get into the water and get some swimming exercise in! Today is a stay at home and do nothing day (ya right). I have lots of little projects going on and I really should try to start a scrap page today! Tomorrow is my hiking day and we will be doing a very long one over 10K, but on a very nice part of the trans Canada trail and then into Stocking Creek falls. After that I will have to do a delivery to SIL Linda as the Norwex order she put it will arrive here today sometime. So tomorrow will be a full day of being outside. It will be a mostly cloudy day and not too warm, so a great day for a hike!

Chris - Aww Poor Ray!! That is sad that she is losing control! It is also sad that you had such a bad night of sleep, but yes I can totally relate!! I seem to wake up at least two or three times a night, but most times I can fall right back to sleep. However there are those awful times when I toss and turn for what seems like hours! :mmph: Yes the wine festival is so much fun and we have another one to go to this Saturday. We had invited MIL and FIL up for supper on Sunday for MIL's 84th birthday but they have other plans. So we might ask my brother and his wife instead. Trying to keep our bubble small, but its hard to do when you have so much family LOL. We have been pretty good for not getting to close or hugging etc. It's hard though isn't it!

Nancy - There was lots of cheering at our house last night as we watched the Bruins game, did you hear us?? I bet you are loving all of this hockey to watch, but it seems strange to be doing in August!! Hope you and Luther get out for a good walk again today! Yes it is cooler here too and the air has a different feel to it now.

Jean - How great to find all of the information for your research! All of that would make my head swim, it is so impressive that you are able to track down all that info! Hope you are having a lovely day and you are finding out even more today!

Cheryl - You must be getting excited to have this move over and done with! It must seem strange to have all the walls bare and boxes everywhere! Hope it all goes smoothly for you!

Ok I need something to eat and then figure out what to have for supper tonight :mmph: the worst part of my day is doing that decision making LOL. Have a great day everyone!

Really quick in and out today. Managed to get all my errand ran yesterday.... got blood/lab work done, dropped off mail at PO and stopped by library to pick up my books on reserve. Came back home and called salon to see if they were taking reservations. They said no reservations needed - just come by and sign in then wait outside/in car until they called for you to come in. Whoo-whee... had to wait a bit outside but finally got my hair cut!!!! Last one was back in either Dec or Jan. Got a modified pixie cut which is how I like my hair. Only takes about 2-3 minutes after shampoo to brush or finger comb it and it looks fine!!!

DSon-in-law#1 came by this AM to borrow my SUV so he could take a ladder over to Grandson's house to get on the roof and fix his A/C. The ladder wouldn't fit in SDiL's small car. So I am home for the day with no vehicle. Not a problem as I didn't plan on going anywhere.

My new next-door neighbors are having a swimming pool put in - started yesterday. Guess the noise from digging will go on for about a week or so. It is on the far side of their house so at least it is not close to my windows. The old neighbors had raised the fence a couple of years ago so that meets code already.

Ooops... gotta go - call from sister coming in. CYL

good day - I had my dermatologist check up and he found a few spots on my face but it was a 3 years but with pandemic and two knee surgeries I put it off. But he did not find anything dangerous. So that is good. Got some scrapping done. Got the nicest surprise my youngest son and his MG brought us beef stew and noodles. How sweet. Conversation at dinner my son said she prepared peppers and sausages. But she went to the store and then decided she wanted beef stew. I had to admit that making two meals was something I never once thought about. She is just too cute! My son is one lucky guy!

Chris today is going to be another beautiful day! Have fun outside! Sorry you are sleeping so badly but maybe this outside work will help with sleeping. Though with all you did yesterday I am impressed.

Waving to all
Have a great day!

Good evening, my girly-o's. Been another busy day! Chris, sorry that you're not sleeping! Yes, it is the pits! I remember when I couldn't sleep. Now I just stay up until I'm hitting the wall (after I drink my Sleepy Time Extra Tea with Valerian Root. Have you ever tried that? It really works for me! Have to take it about an hour ahead of going to bed.

Trudy, all of that fresh air and being on the beach sounds lovely! I guess it's easier to social distance on the beach. Yes, it's so weird to not have anything hanging on the walls. I packed all of my camera collection today and took my display case down - that was my last thing to take off my bedroom wall. :(

Kay, your new haircut sounds adorable and easy to take care of. Yikes about the noisy pool going in next door. There will be noise.

Nancy, glad the dermatologist appointment was okay - that's always a relief.

Well, update on us - our moving date got "moved" and it will be sometime this weekend!!! I'm freaking out!! Chris, you can REALLY be nervous for me now. There were some "complications" and instead of the movers coming a week from day after tomorrow, they're coming either Friday, Sat, or Sun. It will take them a couple of days to load up and they say 4 days to move us to Oklahoma. So, day after tomorrow, the packers will be here (that hasn't changed) and Daisy and I will be staying in a suite hotel for a couple of days.

Chris, Daisy is still freaking out. She's attached to my leg - all 50 pounds of her. She went to the groomer for the last time (here) today, so I got a break and got a lot done. She'll be barricaded downstairs with the fence across the bottom of the stairs tomorrow. Poor thing. :(
