Hi my lovelies! I have missed you all so much! I hate being without internet. You forget how much you rely on it when you don't have it :)
But on the other hand it was nice to be able to use my down time for some reading, I finished 2 books LOL Sex, Lies and Vampires (an ok read- good for nonsense summer stuff) and The Other Boleyn Girl (very good!)

Vacation was nice and relaxing. We went to the County Fair one day and met up with friends of ours that moved from my neighborhood to PA a few years ago. We went mini-golfing. (Scott was too cool to play, but he did the scoring). We went out to dinner one night, which was my one "thing" I wanted to do.( One night of night having to cook and clean up :D). My parents came up on Sat. and we had a nice dinner together,played some family games. Hit the beack on Sun with Caitlyn and mom and swam with the fish and goose poop. (I am so totally a pool/ocean girl! No lakes LOL -- BTW-the lake we go to here at home is man made, drained and cleaned over the winter- so no fish or seaweed!)

Then it was back home and back to the grind..... unpacking and lots of laundry! I have tons of work and scrapping I need to catch up on this morning. And *fingers crossed* to get to the lake this afternoon, it is going to be hot again!

Some quick personals from yesterday....
I wish I could go back and read all of last week's, but I have to get to work gah!

LindaW- 3 kids all week? You are going to be tired by Friday! Which is 4 days later than I would be wiped out LOL. Is putt putt mini-golf? Did you have fun? What's on the schedule for today?

Dawn- safe driving. And IKWYM- It seems like people are driving stupider and more distracted/aggressive than ever. Ya know what? Go ahead, cut me off.... if it takes me 5 extra minutes to get where I am going, so be it.
Did you hear of the new study out? Texting while driving is dangerous? Who pays these people to study that? I mean-- DUH! :lol:

Oh no ME- I am guessing that you had to have Simon put down :( *holds you tight* I am so so sorry. Harley and Rayvn send puppy kisses to you.

Andrea- hugs to you too~~~~ When does Vince leave? Too soon I am sure. You know I will be thinking really good, safe thoughts for him. Give him a big O-Hug from all of us.

Kat-- more hugs hon! It sure is hot here (finally LOL) but not a good day for the ac to break. Hope your day ended better.

LindaP- enjoy your last days of summer!

Clara- hey girl!!! Good to hear you had a nice weekend too. *sigh of relief for the kids' new dentist*

Ona- I swear, I want to move to AU! Your drive and time at the beach sounds great even if it was cold.

eeeeeek!!! Chris is in the house! I am sooooooo happy you are back but also glad you had a vacay LOL. Yes, it was 'weird' without you :).

I hate to cut this short (where does the time go?!) but I've gotta get rolling. Still have to catch Davy and put him up.

Wow...Dawn....that is a lot of accidents in such a short amount of time!! I think that would be a bit unusual around here. Hope you have a great day my friend!!:p

ME...sounds like you guys are coping well....IKWYM about the house seeming empty...my MOM had to put her dog down last year...and she has missed him so badly, and even when I go over...it's weird him not being there to greet you. The fair sounds like a great time!!

Andrea...((((((HUGS)))))) I know this is hard for you with DH leaving...sounds like you are doing okay with everything that has happened....You are great for trying to make things so normal...I would be the one who would be trying to make things so SPECIAL...but you are right....you are doing things the right way to make it easier!! Does sound like he's eating very well this week though!!

Miss Kat....I am glad you got the AC working again...and YOU ARE WELCOME;) I am hoping today is better!!

LindaP....oh we remodeled out downstairs bath last year....(it was a 1/2 bath and we added a shower)...I love shopping for the house!! not that I ever have that much to spend :( but it's fun!! Good luck with those "gremlins"! and your Survivor Challenge!

Clara....YIKES...Dentist...and cracked tooth...YIKES...but I am glad you found someone you like!! I can't believe Ethan has had so much trouble so young!!

Ona...have fun?? at your training!! Sounds like your weekend was very nice!!! and no way I would be swimming in the winter!! I have seen some do it here too....I didn't do it as kid like you!! BRRRRRR......

sounds like vaca was relaxing and just what you needed!! I really love those types of vacations!! when our kids were young we stayed on the run!! I was so tired when I got home that work was my rest!! LOL!! that's crazy!!...but when you take 5 kids on vaca....well...you can imagine!! Have fun at the lake today!!

Well ladies...no I am not crazy....these two extra boys are EXTREMELY well behaved kids....they kept Cameran occupied yesterday....I will have them again WED and Thurs.....We are going to the Science Museum on Wed....and Thursday is just stay at home!....and ~~sniff~~ next week my little man goes to the big K!! I will be on my own until mid October when Sharon goes back to work after the baby.

I am off...I have a DR's appt at 10:30 ...Cameran is not too happy about this!!...he is having a bit of an attitude problem this morning....I had to adjust a little!!

So I am starting today off with positive thinking after yesterday's craziness. Today will be FAB-U-LOUS....Today will be FAB-U LOUS :) Ugh!!! I hardly have those days but I tell ya...when they hit they are a whooper!!! hahahahaha

I know my day will be better because my lovely friend Chris is back spreading her Faery Sunshine :) ((((HUGS)))) So glad your vacation was fab!!!!!! Missed you! Leave the laundry sister....hit the lake!!! The Laundry will still be there when you get home :)

So I am back in the posting challenge in the gallery....my org goal was 13,000 and I hit that along with my partner in crime LindaS!!! So today I am at about 13270 so I am setting a new goal on 13,500 that should be easy to accomplish with all those yummy layouts in the gallery! :)

Dawn: You okay? Stressing about something? (((hugs))) COFFEE you need COFFEE!!!

LindaW - adjustments...I so understand those :) My little one just cracked me up...he was up to no good in the bathroom and I saw it in a reflection of a photo on the wall. When I called him out on it....I said "I see you" he was shocked...then he saw me back in the reflection and cracked up!!! "I see you too" :) Kids!!! Awww my little one goes to Kindergarten this year...and I am so bummed. ((hugs)) Don't they grow way too fast!! At least you will have the little one to keep you busy in October :) That will definitely fill the void.

good morning my sweet OFam!!! I had my usual busy Monday yesterday!! I've still not quite recovered since my big Sallyfest40 celebrations, so today, I'm trying to get settled! well, sorta anyway...here's my fb status right now...
"Tuesday is WONDERFUL!! off to see Baby Jack and eat lunch with my dear sister-in-law!! then home to meet with my darling friend, Tara, then play, play, play in the craft room for Thursday's Stamp Club!!"
so today is pretty packed, too!!

But I have to tell you about my fabulous weekend!!! Friday, we went to the movies and saw GForce (loved it!) in 3D, then that night I was at a dress rehearsal for this vocal studio concert that I played cello AND sang at on Saturday night. Saturday during the day, Emma and I went to the mall to try to find me something to wear at the concert. All of the girls were going to perform in ball gowns (we call them gowneds!) LOL!! and so I needed something I could play cello in (preferably pants that look elegant!)...we walked into White House, Black Market and in the SALE section there was this really awesomely cool pantsuit that looked perfect. when I tried it on, it was sooooo long!! But the rest of it fit! So I asked the sales ladies what they thought...they told me all these tricks to try with the hem...so i bought it!! and a pair of shoes...together originally priced at $230 - i got them for $100!!! I was sooo excited!! Then I went home and got Mr Gorgeous to mark where I needed to hem them. He was soo cute with these pins! LOL!! finally he gave up on the pins and got a big piece of sidewalk chalk and marked where they needed to be turned up. I went and actually USED my sewing machine and hemmed them! They came out PERFECTLY!! that's never happened before. I told Mr Gorgeous is was because together we could do anything!! :)

Okay...this is like a novel, but I have to tell you...LOL!! The concert was stunning!! There were about 25 pieces of music from Italian Art Songs to Opera Arias, to 4 songs from Les Mis, to a couple of west Side story songs...and then my jazz tune, Black Coffee (which my mom calls Caberet singing!! LOL!!). I played cello on almost everything else, so when I got up to sing, it was kind of a surprise to most of the audience. I also used my own band, which was PHENOMINAL!! (gotta love Mr Gorgeous on the piano!! LOL!) I am hoping to post the recording on my blog soon...we'll see...Quentin used the video recorder and he gets a bit "zoomy" on it, so we have to see when it d/ls!! LOL!!

Then Sunday afternoon, Cora threw me this big Surprise party (which I knew was going to happen, but didn't know anything about what she was planning!!). It was fabulous!! One of the highlights was when they "roasted" me...actually it was more of a toast - Mr Gorgeous has this philosophy that we shouldn't wait until someone dies to tell them how awesome they are...good philosophy. Anyway, Cora got up and read some really incredibly moving notes from the CheeryOs and Vicki here!! It made me bawl!! I have the best family and friends!! Just amazing!!!

So...that was my weekend...lots of music and celebrating!! a true Sallyfest!!
 
Chris!!!! I'm soooo glad you are back, darling!!! Yes, we totally missed you!!!! Sooo glad your vacation was good!! Sounds wonderful...we are doing a "staycation" at the end of next week, where we take Daddy to all of our fave museums for three days!! It should be fun (and FREE!!! key words right now!!)! love you, and glad you are here!!

Linda!! omgosh...I went to sleep reading about how to adjust attitudes!! how funny to awaken to your post about adjusting Cam's attitude!! LOL!!! :) Hope your Dr's appt is GOOD!!!! And I bet you can't wait until that baby comes!!! :) happy day, hun!!

Good morning ladies!!!

I meant to go to bed early last night but I got working on a LO that I was only going to do part of and guess what...I stayed up and finished it. Go figure. It wasn't horribly late, but def not early either. Oh well.

So tonight is piano day. I love that Ethan is in piano lessons, but DH is not always so helpful with getting the kids places after work. We were both raised a lot differently as far as sport type things go. My parents were always carting us around and his were not. So, he gets very annoyed when he needs to drive the kids anywhere after work and acts like it is this huge deal, when I don't think it should be. It is so weird how our two families are so similar in so many ways yet so different in others and how it affects our parenting. Anyway, I'm not complaining about it, just pondering I guess. I mean I do wish dh would be more excited to help out with extra-curriculars but I also understand that my parents did waaaaaaaaaay more than a lot of parents, especially two working parents. I found Ethan a new piano teacher. the teacher he had before was a bit younger and she would allow Ethan to get off track and find alternatives to actually playing the piano during the lesson when he wouldn't concentrate. He very quickly learned that if he messed around he wouldn't have to actually play and could play games instead. So we paid for a couple of lessons where he helped organize her music and they played games. When they only have a 1/2 hour I think they can find better things to do than that, personally.

So that's my day. Nothing too exciting. I need to go and get a little pocket calendar today. I think I need one. We'll see what I find. Alright, personals...
 
Chris - Welcome back. You were definately missed here. Where did you go for your vacay?? I'm glad you guys had a good time. I agree with Kat...do the laundry later and go to the lake. You can do some of it tonight while the family watches tv or something. I wish there were a machine that you put your clothes into and it spit them out all washed, dried and FOLDED!!! Folding, that is my issue.

Dawn - Wake up!! I'm sending you some Double Shots. I think they have some mixed with energy drinks too. Things have gotten a little crazy with the caffeine drinks. Have you noticed at the gas station type stores half of the drinks are energy drinks?? It is unreal. I'm sorry you are not sleeping? Is everything okay??

LindaW - I am glad that if you are watching extra kids they are good kids. I hate watching other people's kids. My mom makes jokes that my kids are lucky that I like them. I just generally have never been real great with kids. I never intended on having any until I met Derek. I knew he was destined to have kids. I thought he would end up with a bunch of girls, because he always said he wouldn't have girls. He refused to even think of girl names when I was preggo with Ethan, which is funny because Ethan refused to discuss boy names when I was preg with Addie because he was absolutely positive it was a girl. before I knew I kept saying that I didn't want to be the one to tell him it was a boy, which I was fairly confident we were having. okay...so back on track...I'm glad that the kids are all being good. Sorry Cam is having attitude issues today. Addie has those some morning when she doesn't get enough sleep and she will just cry the whole time dh is trying to get her ready for daycare.

Oh, speaking of daycare...I mentioned before that Addie got kicked out of her daycare for biting. She would always bite the same girl...one of her little friends. Weird. The administration felt really bad about it because they love her, but Addie needed something changed. So, they decided to move her up into the next age group. It is going really well. She had no problems at all last week. No biting, no accidents. I think it will end up being agreat change for her and eventually she'll start seeing some of her little friends as they move up. I just hope she doesn't remember biting when that happens.

Kat - Big hugs for you!! I hope you have a much better day today. Today is a new day. Thanks goodness we get a new start every 24 hours. I'm so glad the AC was fixed adn thanks for the breakfast treats. That sounds awesome.

Sally - sounds like you had an awesome weekend. Isn't it great to feel loved by your friends and family. that is so cool that Cora pulled together your friends IRL along with your friends here at the O. Have fun playing in your craft room today.
