It was a dark and gloomy morning...
:gloomy:

More rain overnight and T-storms are predicted throughout the day. I was supposed to go down to BFFs for a pool day but we rescheduled for one day next week. I can't decide if it's just as well or if I could have used the day to unload. :talk:
Scott dropped the news that he and Sam are at the top of the list for the rental house. They are the owner's first choice and there's just one other couple in the mix. The website for one of Scott's credit reports has been acting up and they are supposed to be sending a hard copy which he hasn't gotten yet. But if he gets that in and Sam's background check is clean (it is), they might be moving soon.
:thud:

I GOT THIS!
Really, I do.
Right? :D

I was pretty pleased with everything I got done yesterday.

I started my day off with an Intermediate level yoga video and I was pretty proud of myself until I got 2/3 of the way through. Up until that point, I was feelin' pretty cocky since I was able to do all of the poses. Then she hits us with a plank, into a side plank. Then a side plank with a raised leg. pfft! Yeahhhhhhh, that was hard. I held the plank as long as I could then collapsed. Forget about even *trying* to lift my leg up.

I finally planted my little herb cuttings, they are just adorable. I need to pick out what I want to propagate next. I have a spider plant that is barely hanging on, it's been this way for a long time. I should see if I can get a few cuttings of that and see if I can get a healthier plant going. I have repotted this one more than once and it doesn't grow and it doesn't die. It just *is*

Scott and Sam are heading to a music festival in Ohio this afternoon. They'll be gone for a week. Caitlyn is working remotely and then I am driving her and the rats to the vet this afternoon. She will still be on the clock so she can stay connected while I drive. I swear, the "modern work life" can be wild, eh?

Today, I am grateful that I have been sticking with yoga, it gives me a sense of accomplishment when I think back to when I first started a few months ago.

I hope that everyone is having a lovely day!

@vickyday There were only three of us on the forest bathing hike I went on last week and we took pictures and talked to each other. The group was bigger on this one and there was very little talking and no one took pictures. It's too bad, I would have liked to get a few shots here and there but the vibe was different.
That makes sense to wait to retest especially if you don't have to go anywhere. How is Mark's headache? I hope it was only his normal headache and not covid.

@BrightEyes It sounds like DD#3 has quite a lot going on in her house. That's too bad that the office chair didn't work out for you.
That's awesome about having two sets of hummingbirds! I know what you mean about not being able to get a photo. I can't even walk closer to the window before they zoom off.

Uh-oh! That's not a good sign for Mark if his taste is off. *good health thoughts to him*

@Cherylndesigns Ugh!! Drs are the worst! (Not all drs.... ;)) I wish they would stay put. And stop switching what insurance they accept. That's wonderful that you were able to track down the one you liked and get seen.
Labs are the doofiest dogs. ♥
Do you have a current photo of the zebra grass?

Waving hi to @taxed4ever @bcgal00 @Nonni F and @tanteva
Hope that *everyone* is doing well and has a fab day!

Of course I'm having a fab day. I'm in my favorite place in the world, Vadstena, relaxing in a chair outside our hotel room, looking at this view:

Castle from mid1500s. Weather could be better, but it will soon get worse. Tons of rain incoming. We're just crossing our fingers that we will be able to get home on Friday. It's been raining so much lately, that roads are flooded (or even in some cases destroyed) here in Sweden. One of the roads we took yesterday to get down here, got closed just a couple of hours after we passed.

Bought a deck of cards, in case we'll have to stay in the hotel room all evening. I gave myself only one rule for this trip: don't buy tea (cuz I bought tons a couple of weeks ago on our last road trip. Anyone have a guess what I bought today? :giggle4: (But it was mojito flavoured. I mean, resist that!)

He was fine last night with his taste and headache. He woke up with another headache today. Who knows what it is! I just keep praying he stays healthy since he is the bread-winner! He doesn't get sick days, per se. He has to take vacation days. I think he is up to 20 days, so that is a good thing, at least! Especially when they force you to take vacation like they did the week of July 4th. So my thankful for today is that he has the 20 days to "spend" however he wants.....even in hourly increments!

Morning all. It is a bit cooler this morning so I am enjoying the cool breezes blowing through the house. No rain here although it has been raining in other areas in the metro area. High in mid-80's today but back up to mid-90's the rest of the week. I am more than ready for some cooler weather. Dug into the freezer yesterday and pulled out turkey slices, dressing, and gravy along with yellow squash. Will have that for supper tonight and tomorrow. Won't be here tomorrow - another doctor's appt and have a few errands to run after that. I know I will be tired when I get home so glad to not have to cook.

Had a nice long phone visit with my sister yesterday. She is finally settling back into her normal routine now that she has been back from the month long visit to the east coast. We both were missing our 2-3 calls each week while she was gone. Her kids were wanting her to move out there but she has decided not to do that as long as she is able to live without help.

We did get some bad news about 3 other relatives (2 cousins and a niece). The cousins are like brother and sister to us. He has advanced cancer and stopped treatments so it is only a matter of time. His sister has a blood disorder. And our niece is having heart issues. We are waiting to hear how advanced those issues are.

Sorry no personals this morning. Grandson will be here shortly to pick up the office chair. HAGD

Good afternoon,

First of all, Chris @faerywings YOU GOT THIS GIRL!!!:yourock:

Sounds like your cuttings have done very well. You MIGHT want to try this with your spider plant: First of all, if it has "babies" you can take them off and re-root them. When we lived in FL, one of Steph's friends' moms send me this terribly sick spider plant and I gave it a really big haircut - it wasn't very big when I got done with it, but it started growing and got huge. I've given my ferns haircuts, too. You know, yesterday when I was admiring my zebts grass, I thought I should take some close-ups because the stripes are really popping out. When I planted it 3 years ago, it was tiny and now it's huge. I can see why people use them for privacy fences. Did you happen to see my LO for CK's "Goals"? I have pictures of my front garden and the first picture is from 3 years ago when we started it. The vines on my trellis are JUST about to meet in the middle, on the top. They have a few inches to go, and I just planted them this May. Yes, this doctor thing is a PITB, but we love this guy and he was also happy we found him. The old office wouldn't tell us where he went, but Walgreen's did. He always wears jeans, a plaid or denim shirt and cowboy boots - I probably already told you that. He also has a very popular local band - Doc Fell's Band. He's pretty booked up. Anyhoo, he promised that if he ever moved again, he would personally call us. He's also affiliated with a much better hospital system now.

Vicky @vickyday do you think Mark might have covid? Can he use his vacation days for sick days? Glad you're feeling better.

Kay @BrightEyes have you had your ortho appt? Glad you and your sister got to catch up yesterday, but I'm so sorry to hear of other family members health problems. Sending hugs to you, because they all sound serious, especially the cousin who has stopped treatment.

Eva @tanteve glad you're having a relaxing time and thanks for the picture.

Hugs to everybody and HAGD.
