Good Morning O-zies! How is the O-Fam today? I hope that all of you are doing great. I am a bit tired today, I woke up at 4 am for some reason and couldn't get back to sleep. Two mugs of coffee in and I am feeling a bit more human.

So who wants to hear the craziness of my shopping order yesterday? I pick it up, no issues with the payment this time, but as I am loading the bags into the car, they feel light. I poke through them and there is no half and half again. After last week, I *know* that I ordered them. I decide to go into the store even though I would rather not since this is the one that is larger and I have only been inside a handful of times- would rather not spend more time wandering around trying to figure where it is. But I do and when I get there, there aren't any half gallons- and we go through 3/week. (yes, a family of heavy coffee drinkers and Cait and Gary like theirs light). There is one brand name 1/2 gallon so I grab that and 2 store-brand qts. I can only grab that many because there weren't any baskets in the store and sheesh, when I walked in I thought I was only getting the 3 1/2 gallons so who needed a cart? I get home, upack the rest of the food and I notice that the bag of grated cheese is moldy inside. This has happened once before with this brand but most brands of parmesan cheese are not vegetarian and this one is and it is affordable. Ugh. I have to call the supermarket and thank goodness, they were able to credit my credit ard for it because I really didn't want to have to drive back up the mountain to return it.
Then I have to fwd the final bill to my mom (I am still using her CC to get groceries) with the addendum that the statement will be a mess- the initial bill, the extra bill for the half and half, and then the credit for the icky cheese.
That is going to make her so confused and anxious. Makes me confused and anxious and I know what I am doing (sort of, maybe, a bit on some days :pound: )

The rest of the day was off as well. The repair tech wasn't able to get here yesterday so is coming today. I was going to send Scott with some laundry since he was heading to Leah's but it was only to help cut up some of the branches that were down and he wasn't going to have enough time. My Ils popped in around 3 for a visit and Yes!! They brought up some parm cheese that they had (no idea if it is vegetarian or not but that is on Caitlyn) :whoo:
I did a bit of yardwork too, but today I am going to stay off of my foot if I can. The ankle is feeling stiff and so is the "arch" (for what it is worth calling it an arch) so I will do my PT stretches and leave it at that.

I do have a few good things to share. Caitlyn has her Etsy shop up and has sold 4 small animal hammocks so far. She is also making digital stickers and might have a commission to do a portrait of some rats.
The nature cam is in a good spot and yesterday we got to see a possum, a groundhog, a squirrel playing with its tail and a stick, the fox, and 6 turkeys. pretty cool variety!

Other than a few things around the house, I am going to take it a bit easier today. At least as best as I can. ;)
I hope that you are successful in whatever you plan to do as well.

Gratitudes:
-that I live in an area where we get to see lots of willldlife
-that we have AC
-coffee

I still cannot figure out why my spell check doesn't work so please forgive all of the typos!

Nancy-haha!!! I bet you came back almost as drenched from your walk if you were swimming. It is HHH again! I would talk to the deer too, but also warn them to stay away from people - as if that helps! LOL
The playoff start today? Who are you rooting for? Enjoy the last episodes of Longmire.

Trudy- The winery looks and sounds like paradise! What a treat to spend time there with your Gary. So romantic!!
I bet Heather is happy to sleep in her own bed, the boys too. I hope that Mason is able to go back to school safely. How are the cases going there? I asked my parents if they had any idea what my brother was doing for Christopher and if sounds like he is going to do remote. A lot of districts in NJ are giving the option to do 100% virtual if they want it. My brother is still unemployed so it makes sense to keep him home. Chris does a lot of outdoor sports so he will still get some socialisation. Hard decisions and I don't envy parents trying to make them.
It is feeling like Autumn is coming up quickly here too and nope, it isn't fair! It was dark at 8 pm last night and all I could think about it when it gets dark at 5 pm. :(

Cheryl- It is so strange, because NJ has had mandatory masks for a long time, so I feel much more used to it. When I first started to see everyone masked back in March it was surreal. Yesterday at the store, there was a woman in the parking lot that didn't have one on but she had it around her neck to put on when she went inside. It is starting to feel more odd when I see people w/o one. I have given up on "normal." hahahah!!!!!
That is very heartwarming to know that kids in need will be helped by you and the donations.
Operation Westward Ho-- that is a wacky and fun and totally *you* name!! Love it!!!!

good day - another hazy hot and humid day. I don't know where we would be without AC that is for sure. But I had a nice walk before it got to too hot. Got more scrapping done. Anna Aspnes held another of her classes where she gives ideas for improving pages. I sent her one and wow she made some great suggestions. She is so nice in giving of her time and the $5 dollars she gets she donates to the food pantry. I get good advice and people get food. I finished Longmire and it was really good. I like a show that has definite ending and where they don't kill off the good guys.

Chris wow what a trip to the store. I feel we must have been in the same sphere. I finally had to go to the store, we needed everything. To back out of the drive way my DH just said back over the stuff. Well huge branches that I had to pick up or ruin my car. But then when I went to check out I realized I left my wallet at home. I got to set up Apple Pay and needed my DH to answer the phone to give me the security code from my card. But would he answer his phone or text. No so they put my food in the card and said hurry back. Well I went home and got card and came back. Got my food. I was so mad I could not see straight. What if an emergency! I am still mad. Thanks goodness I have food LOL. Glad you got your straightened out. Glad you had a nice visit. Hope the repairman comes today and solves problem. Congrats to Cait on her new Etsy store and the sales.

Waving to all

Hello to you all! I am late in here again today, but had a nice long face time with Heather and the Boys! Then had to run out to Walmart to pick up a few items for my card making and toothpaste and mouthwash. Much cheaper at Walmart and it was a good time to go hardly anyone in the store. I wore my mask although I really did not need to, its not mandatory and never got close to one single person LOL. I am enjoying my quiet house and not having to make coffee ten times a day LOL. Really I kind of miss my DH being around at least there was someone to talk to. Not too much to do today, I need to water the back corner of the backyard. Other than that I will do a bit more on my page that I started and perhaps some card making and a bit of painting. I jump around from one project to another but seems like it is taking forever to get any of them done LOL.

Chris - Glad that your trip to the store was somewhat successful! Ugh on the moldy cheese though!! How nice that your in-laws brought you some! Hope your Mom is not too confused with the bill for the groceries! It would make anyone's head swim for sure! Yes things are still kind of up in the air about school for Heather, should find out soon if they will be in classes or virtual. I can't see making all those kids wear masks all day long :mmph: No hugs if someone gets hurt, can't see the teachers face when she is trying to teach them how to pronounce certain words. Really how is it all going to work?? At least your brother can be home for your godson, that sure helps out! Although I am sure he would rather be back to work! Hope your repair guy makes it to the house today! WTG Cait for getting some sales on Etsy!!

Nancy - Yikes!! A nightmare of a shopping trip for you!! Darn your DH for not answering the phone or txts, sometimes you just want to throttle them, right?? :rollpin: I would have been livid too!! Sounds like Anna's class was a good one for you! I keep meaning to sign up for one, but darn I always forget!

Well I better get out and do the watering before it gets too warm back there. Have a great day everyone!

Guess I've been MIA a bit but I do remember one lovely day, last Wednesday. We went to a store for my on sale diet Coke and when back in the car DH asked if I wanted to go somewhere. It was a beautiful day, so we went to nearby Lake View where we've spent so much time. We didn't have our binoculars or camera, but we keep an old pair of bins in the car, so that was fine. We didn't see anything unusual, but we did see lots of birds, some maybe that nested there and at least one kind that are fall migrants. There were 3 Green Herons, 2 kingfishers, a Wood Duck in eclipse plumage, a Spotted Sandpiper and 2 Solitary Sandpipers. We saw swallows, an oriole, a Red-headed Woodpecker, pewees and more. I felt so good after. Maybe like a real person. Probably not unrelated I started work on an article for my blog about the genealogy finds in the deeds. I'm still not ready to post it on my blog, but very close. I worked a little more on my drawing and yesterday brought it and some supplies downstairs where it is cooler.

Chris, what a bummer with the store, but amazing about the cheese (and how can cheese be vegetarian?) Here's hoping your mom doesn't fret over the billing. And congrats to Cait on the Etsy shop and sales. Good luck with the washer repair!!

Nancy, I can so relate to your story. Why can't our spouses be like us? Thanks goodness it worked out in the end. Glad you enjoyed Longmire. And now the real hockey. With the Jackets in it our local media will at least mention them. Not that they're local, but the closest we have.

Trudy, that winery looks so beautiful and relaxing. So nice you've gotten to do fun things during DH's vacation.

Hi to all!

Trudy, we cross-posted! That quiet house sounds really nice, especially for trying to finish projects, but I can imagine you missing someone to talk with.
