hellooooO!
How is everyone today? Hope you are great!

We picked a nice day to get together yesterday, today is gonna be nothing but "muck." Sticky, soupy muck.

But what a fun day yesterday, so nice to sit back and catch up with my friends and about their kids. Shhhh... don't tell anyone, but I think my niece got a teaching job, it has to be voted on at the Bd of Ed meeting tomorrow so she isn't saying anything just yet, but I am really excited for her. She graduated with her Masters in Elem Ed/Spec Ed in May and this is an inclusion kdg teacher position. I hope I will know by Thursday morning. *fingers all crossed tightly* It's neat to catch up with the two of them because my one friend is my BFF and the other lives across the street from me and our DDs grew up together. In spite of living 45 minutes away from BFF, their lives have intersected and they have mutual friends aside from me. It would be a very strange Venn Diagram of overlaps.

As I mentioned, the weather here is gross so I am going to scrub down my kitchen and put everything back into the cabinets that I took out last week. I think (hope/pray) that all of the pantry pests are gone. I had to toss a lot of food but some of it was stuff that most likely wouldn't get eaten anyway. If it has been in the back of the cabinet for that long, it is just taking up space.

Have fun, stay cool!

@tanteva Congrats on 600 days of mindfulness, that is such a wonderful accomplishment. Even better that you can see and feel results. Have fun at IKEA today! What is on your list of things to buy?

Oh Kay, that sounds awful about the air quality. Will you be getting any rain soon to wash it out a bit? hope that your back behaves today at the luncheon.

@Cherylndesigns Yea, I didn't have much of a paycheck at the end of the day when I worked there either. ;) It had to be Urban Cowboy that got a cowboy boot trend going here in NJ, at least in the area I grew up, not much farmland there. Up here in the mountains, possibly people wear them regularly but I don't see them often.
I remember very little of those years but I remember having Clog Day on Wednesdays when all of the girls would wear their clogs. Can you imagine what it must have sounded like in the hallways? The clogs with studs sound very, very cool!

@bcgal00 I don't even want to think about the hassle of changing internet and phone providers even though we hate ours. Thankfully (not really a good thing economically but very good stress levels hehe) we only have one provider in this area.
Are you and Jen still able to get the dogs out to play together? Good luck to D as he plans for his retirement. Thanks for the hugs to C! I will pass them along.

@Kythe We are watching Manifest too and I think I have a love/hate-- Nah, that is too strong-- like/dislike LOL-- relationship. Parts of the story are so good and engaging yet Ben and Mick are so bland that is occasionally it makes me not care about what happens to them, IYKWIM?
One thing that I really, really love-- you are going to laugh-- I love the Manifest Logo, whoever thought of that -- brilliant typography!

Eva- bummer that you aren't able to go to IKEA, bad kitties! I haven't been to an IKEA in decades but I remember how big and crowded and overwhelming it was. For sure you want to be in tip-top shape.
I feel the same thing, I wish I could afford all of the streaming sevices- I have the three- Hulu, Netflix, and well- Prime but we originally got that for shopping. If I could add one more it would be a tossup between Disney+ and HBO.

I wish I had more shows to suggest, I think I mentioned that we watch Justified on Hulu? It is with Timothy Olyphant whom I adore.

When I was a teen every day was Clog Day. LOL It was the coolest thing you could wear, and many wore them in winter as well, sliding along on the ice. I wore mine until the heal was so worn down, they broke in the middle all the way up to the toes.

I almost bought a pair of clogs a couple of summers ago, they had a beautiful flower pattern. I still think clogs are beautiful. Think I need to google and see if I can find some. LOL

Busy day, work, CT work, haircut, dog park and need to do some meal planning. The day will fly by.

@faerywings Yes, J and I take the dogs to the park at least 3-4 times a week.

Hello all.

Chris @faerywings that clomp clomp must have been crazy loud!! Cowboy boots are loud, too. There's no way to walk in them quietly. Ava says that the person who walks the loudest wins. Hahaha Leave it to her to say that. I've always loved clogs and still do. There used to be the coolest shoe stores that sold them! Back in the day. Haha (I had to laugh when you said that yesterday - I say it all the time.)

I'm not in the mood to do anything today - I didn't get my sleep out. I started getting texts pretty early. I forgot to put my phone on sleep mode last night. It normally goes on it automatically, but for some reason, I changed the setting yesterday (temporarily) and forgot to put it back to auto. Anyway, it was worth it - I make Asher a sign every year for him to hold on the first day of school. I've been doing it since 2015. She always sends me a picture "hot off the press". I have to share! He's getting SO big!!

Hope everybody has a happy Tuesday!
